Memorable Day In Kochi

We had a wonderful adventure in Kochi with Yoshiro. His knowledge of local and general Japanese history greatly enriched our experience as we visited Kochi Castle, the Kochi Castle Museum of History, Hirome Market, and beautiful Katsurahama. He addressed our specific interests, and even took the time to do additional research on the Yamauchi Clan and Ryoma Sakamoto. Yoshi's fun personality made our day both memorable and pleasurable—one of the best days that we had during our visit to Japan.

Disappointing but nice man

Mr Lee is a nice man but we were disappointed when we were in an area with lots of retail stores and restaurants, and he couldn’t find a restaurant for us.

Cruisers Beware: Cancellation policy not as stated.

Beware of cancellation policy not as stated: I was on a cruise last month and had booked this tour through Viator with a group of 9. The port was canceled due to poor weather that caused low tide and the ship couldn't dock. The port was cancelled but not within the 24 hour time frame. JGA would not refund the money because they said it was not within 24 hours. Our group leader did contact them as soon as it was announced on ship to us. The information page states " This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund." I am very upset and would not considering using them on the future. This was totally out of our control. It is not what I expect from such a big company.

Kochi Castle and Mr. Yoshi

Our tour guide was Yoshi. He met us at the ship terminal on time and off we went. We visited the Kochi Castle and it was beautiful. We did a lot of walking but it was worth it. Mr. Yoshi was very courteous and knowledgeable about Kochi and Japan. We had a great time with him and enjoyed our tour tremendously. Mr. Yoshi was a great tour guide. Thank you Mr. Yoshi!!!!! Great day seeing the sights of Kochi with Mr Yoshiro!

We had an amazing day in Kochi with our excellent guide, Mr. Yoshiro. Our tour was fast paced, allowing us to see so many wonderful places in Kochi. We loved Kochi Castle and the beautiful Makino Gardens. Lunch was so delicious with the grilled bonito and sake. Mr. Yoshiro was very organized and such a kind man, we really enjoyed his company. Great tour, highly recommend!!

Great day in Kochi

My friends and I had a great time in Kochi, thanks to the assistance of Mr. Yoshiro. He was extremely organized making sure we could visit as many sights as possible with our limited time there. He met us at the port at a scheduled time and then accompanied us back. He was very kind and flexible. He was very informative also about the history and culture.

Great tour with a great guide!

The tour was absolutely excellent. Yoshiro Hiroma is the most amazing guide. He was very prompt and kept us on schedule exactly as planned. Yoshi told us so much about what we were seeing and was very fun and considerate. We were amazed at his energy level and his commitment to showing us as much as possible. Kochi, who knew!

Kochi was a city we knew next to nothing about. Kosuke was our guide. He was kind, personable and knowledgeable. He reached out to us several times to discuss excursion, what we wanted to do and crafted a wonderful day for us. He made what looked like a "throwaway port" into one evry memorable and insightful visit which we felt was just as special as some of the more famous Japanese cities we visited to us. Thanks Kosuke for everything! We would highly recommend him to anyone thinking of visiting Koch6. You won't regret it!

Kochi, who knew!

Kochi was a city we knew next to nothing about. It is a port that doesn't get much recognition like say, Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto may. Our guide Kosuke was excellent. He is personable, friendly and very accessible. He would email us several times in advance to ask what we wanted to see and do and then craft the perfect itinerary for what time we had to spend. He really made what we considered a "throwaway port" into one of the best times we had on our 12 day trip to Japan. He made sure that we saw all the important sites and gave us insight into each one. He also is a fabulous photographer! We would not hesitate to book his services again. He made our time there extremely memorable! Thanks Kosuke!
