Wonderful relaxing houseboat cruise

It was an incredibly fun and relaxing 2 days. Our captain and chef were wonderful, the food was some of the best we've had on our trip. It was the perfect amount of space on the boat for 2 people. Watching daily life of the Kerala Backwater residents was a great part of the experience floating by as well. Our only issue was that it was a bit tough to find the launching point from the information provided in Viator.

Great experience

This was such an amazing trip - beautiful scenery, delicious food, excellent service and a comfortable night’s sleep. There was a little confusion around the pick up point but other than that it was all plain sailing.

Stay well away from this boat !

I have never seen such a filthy unhygienic bathroom and boat .. The thought of staying overnight filled us with dred ! Let alone eat any food on it . We noticed fish lying on the side of an equally unhygienic looking kitchen ..How long it had been on the side is anyone's guess .. Very surprised TripAdvisor has this on their books .. Stay well away ..

Loved the experience, private, peaceful and fabulous food.

My partner and I loved this cruise. We'd done a fair bit of research and settled on this boat as we're keen on a private cruise and a smaller boat and as budget/mid range traveller this was a really good price. The boat was exactly as described and spacious for two. The bedroom was decorated beautifully and the aircon powerful. The cruise itself was peaceful and even on the busy backwaters our captain managed to find quiet canals and at times it felt we were alone on the backwater with nature (I have never seen so many birds!). The crew were brilliant respectful of the environment and cooked us fantastic and varies vegetarian food. I would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

Beautiful Kerala waters, awesome food

Great experience. The food was the best. Staff was good as well. So nothing to complain about. They even helped me in finding the right buses to our next location.

Such a beautiful experience. The staff was polite and helpful. Delicious food and amazing sightseeing. Boat was very clean and well maintained. Very punctual. Everything was as scheduled.

Good Value

We are seasoned backpackers and picked the cheapest private option we could find. This experience exceeded our expectations. Clean room. Strong AC at night. Great food. Had the option to buy fresh king prawn from lake which was great cost 1800 per kg which is a lot but we felt we could afford given the relatively lower price of the trip. Also staff were chill and friendly despite not having much English. Only thing could perhaps improve is a written explanation of menu so we know what we’re eating. But all was delicious. Views were great. Thank you

Overnight house boat trip in backwaters

We had a lovely boat trip, the guide and the team was very nice, helpful and willing to share about the landscape and culture. Good English level and fantastic food I recommend this company!

'Simply Awesome'

Sailing in backwaters with rain drops falling on us from both sides of deck and cool moist breeze giving an awesome feeling and an out of the world experience. The driver of the boat and attendant were thoroughly efficient, affable and knew their respective jobs. Food was great.

Wonderful experience

Boat trip was excellent. The tour operator was in close contact with us even prior our arrival to India in order to ask if we needed any support to get there. Once there, they took wonderful care of us. Foods were exceptional, and staff in the boat took always good care of us. We also had our privacy. After that, the tour operator managed transport to the airport. Only remark is that there is no wifi inside (as it was stated in the description), but staff provided for basic communication. As a summary, experience 100% recommendable.

Amazing

We had booked the houseboat Palazhi from Sree sir, it was the fully air conditioned one, the boat was neat and clean and the staff was amazing they were polite and were doing the best to accommodate all the request my family had. They themselves suggested that if we wanted to purchase some sea food they were more than happy to cook it for us. Sree sir was always there well before the trip started, he kept on guiding us from the moment we left for kumarakom boat jetty, telling us of routes we should take and to avoid then periodically checking if everything was fine during our stay. Amazing boat, awesome staff, delicious food( must try the chicken fry, karimeen fry and gobi manchurian), perfect ingredients for a quiet and peaceful vacation.

Made the right choice by booking private houseboat with Sreestours :) The staff was very polite and facilities great. The boat was clean. The food was superb. Never had such tasty Kerela meals. Not to forget the best price!

Exceptional in every way

Having a superb traditional backwaters boat, well maintained, clean, with 2 people, the captain and the cook, taking care of us for 21 hours is a luxury not to be missed. For those who hesitate to spend a night on board, you risk depriving yourself of something fantastic. Bed, bathroom, WC air-conditioned room... everything very good and even better than in some hotels during our stay... See the sun go down, the birds brush against the river, not a sound, not a neighbor.. . unforgettable moment in love for a very reasonable price. Go there with your eyes closed. Very good stay until next time. Andrew
