My first dive in live!

I started my experience with one day diving with BB-divers in the national marine park (Koh Rang), I just wanted to try and be deep under the water for my first time. So that was so nice! My instructor Chang was so clear, nice and make me feel sure and free, to explore, at the same time. Oh! Steve, the Photografer was mega nice too! 💙 beautiful crew! So after that great expierence I decided to do my Open water course for license, with my instructor Chang of course! We have another day of theory and practice in the swimming pool and second day I dived 3 times around the wreck (HTMS Chang), local reefs and around coral fields. All great dives! Chang was the best teacher: well organized, professional, safe and so clear. Add friendly and funny when it was needed! oh! And he save me from a Titan Tigger fish attack 😬 what more can I can ask for ... Thanks Maestro! I will always remember my first dive in Koh Chang! 🫶🏻

An amazing experiences doing the course with instructor Michael Capper. Michael was very understanding, patient and explaining, making it safe and secure to try diving for the first time. Great dives in the small national parks, and a lot of different and colourful fishes. Sadly the corals were bleached because of the water temperature, but we could see it getting better. I had three awesome days with diving instructor Chang from BB-divers. During this time I finished my open water diver license. Chang was a great teacher and the hole crew was very friendly. Definitely a good recommendation for diving.

Good experience with open water

I had an amazing experience with BB Divers, especially with instructor Cheychuen. After doing a Scuba Discovery Dive, I was so impressed that I decided to proceed with the Open Water course. Cheychuen made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. His expertise and knowledge of the island as a local added an extra layer of insight to the experience. I felt safe and well-prepared under his guidance. Highly recommend BB Divers and Cheychuen for anyone looking to explore the underwater world in Koh Chang.

PADI openwater diver course

I did my diving license on April 10th for 3 days. The diving school seemed very professional, as did the diving instructors. My instructor Michael was very competent and I could ask him anything about diving. The equipment was maintained and cleaned every evening. I would recommend this diving school straight away. I also really liked the small groups.

Me and my girlfriend had a great experience at the school. Our instructor, Chang, is very professional with the teaching and he showed us the underwater treasures of Ko Chang. The approach is primarily focused on all the safety related procedures, which gave us enough confidence to enjoy our first recreational dives. Highly recommended!

Incredible instructor, mesmerising marine life, brilliant boat crew, excellent experience!

I’m so glad I chose BB Divers to complete my Open Water certification. The experience was brilliant from start to finish. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming and professional. Pick up and drop off at my accommodation, food, drinks, snacks and electrolytes (very important!) on the boat. Dive masters, Captain and boat crew were very attentive. And the best thing about it all was my instructor PK. Calm, patient (he needed it with me!), clear, funny and reassuring, PK created a safe environment to learn from day one and made the experience all the more enjoyable. First day was in the pool at Cliff Cottage which made for a beautiful setting to learn and practice. Days 2 & 3 in the boat at the National marine park (bring an extra 400 thb for entry fee each time - but well worth it!). So much beautiful marine life to appreciate, I was left in awe! Though, if like me, you are prone to sea sickness make sure you prepare yourself for the 1.5hrs boat ride there and 1.5hrs boat ride back. PK looked after me by changing to a bigger boat for the last day so I wouldn’t get so seasick! An unforgettable experience that will leave you itching to get out in the water again! A PADI Certified Adventure with BB Divers and a super patient instructor, "Chang"

Our first day was spent in the pool, overlooking a beautifully quiet bay, with our instructor, Chang. He patiently guided us through all the steps and allowed us to become familiar with our gear. On the second and third days, we explored vibrant corals while completing our open-water diving exercises. Once again, our guide, Chang, demonstrated patience and ensured our safety, even when we made mistakes. We highly recommend it and are proud to be PADI-certified by BB Divers.

Magical place to learn to dive.

I did my PADI Open Water Course with BB Divers last week, and it was incredible. My instructor, Chang, was so patient and helpful and made everything simple to understand. I did an extra day diving after with another Divemaster called Nhoo who was wonderful at looking after me as a newly qualified diver. Lunch was wonderful and the general service was fantastic. I would highly recommend to anyone, whether learning to dive for the first time or an experienced diver.

Excellent training dive school!

My open water course with BB is such a great experience. A professional diving school with nice crew of instructors, admins, boat crew, etc. Very helpful, informative & friendly. Finished my course with instructor Chang. He is very experienced, patient, and got some nice tricks to help me understand the course better. The instruction was very well given and safety was priority handled there. P'Lay at the shop was so kind as well. I would absolutely recommend BB divers and look forward for my next dive in Koh Chang soon!

PADI Open Water diving

This was an all round amazing experience. I had only done a very brief introduction to diving 8 years ago in the Maldives and decided during my trip to Koh Chang to get my PADI Open Water certificate. My instructor, Karim was really excellent and also a really chilled out guy. His style of teaching as well as focus on training me up to a PADI certified level was honestly outstanding. I feel I learnt from one of the best and am now confident in diving and feel safe doing so with the knowledge and experience I have now acquired. Also a shoutout to Steve the photographer and the rest of the crew, all were excellent, very friendly and very welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone! I am hooked on the diving world now and have finally found something I will love continuing to do.

Best PADI scuba diving school Koh Chang

By far the best PADI scuba diving school on Koh Chang. Very professional and there are always other divers on the boat. My instructor was very helpful and made the training very easy.

Awesome open water PADI Course! Highly recommended!!!

My instructor was Michael. He is a truly great friendly guy, who I learned everything from. He was very helpful, he has a great attitude and very polite manner but teaches very efficiently. The lessons were easy to follow and I took the online course, so I did the exam by myself. The 2 boat day was great. Excellent crew and very fun looking red boats. On the second day we went to the ship wreck and we saw a whale shark! It was a mesmerizing experience! It was a fantastic experience all together. I would recommend this open water course with BB divers in Ko Chang everyone who has no experience like I hadn’t had one. Thank you BB divers and thank you Micheal! You are the best! Zsolt

Thanks to Rosie at BB divers I am now a officially an Open Water Diver!

Yay, I am now a officially an Open Water Diver. Thanks to Rosie, my instructor, I now feel confident below the water and can't wait to fun dive now! BB divers have the best location on a beautiful still bay so I could do my confined water skills in the bay rather than a pool which was a real bonus, as well as my 1:1 tuition. Day 2, for my first open water dives was a bit challenging as I got very sea sick on the boat to the national park but Rosie got me through the day, i still completed my skills and as soon as I was underwater there was no trouble just bubbles 😉. Day 3, Rosie was ready with the sea sickness tablets and the whole team were checking i was fine on the boat, so I felt very looked after. I loved my last dives - lots to see and enjoy as we were surrounded by so many fish. My instructur was hot on safety and the importance of doing thing correctly - as it should be for this training and so i feel confident she's set me up well to keep good habits going forward.

Best place for learning to dive

The staff and instructors are amazing. The atmosphere on the boats are so good and everyone makes sure everybody is fine and safe. Such a friendly and lovely time there. Can recommend it with my full heart! Thank you for this diving experience!

The best place for your first dive!

Did my PADI open water course from BB divers and it was beyond perfect!! My instructor Pierre was amazing, so friendly and always calm! All other instructors and staff are super friendly too. You feel right at home! Pick ups were arranged from the hotel till the boats. The boat itself was really good with great food on board - they even catered for delicious vegan food just for me! The first dive was way better than i expected and the beauty underwater removed all my nervousness. There were hundreds of fish and i saw a sea turtle and a clown fish between the anemones!! Cannot recommend BB divers enough, thank you for making this such a great experience ❤️

千万别来，教练会故意刁难学员不给通过。教练因为自己时间问题，本来在泳池里考游泳，安排在海里考，遇到天气不好浪大根本游不了，就给不通过，钱白花了不说，运气不好小命能丢一半，我朋友因为这个已经生病了，证也没拿到，白白浪费几天假期，钱也白花了，想想就气人！ Don't come. The coach deliberately made things difficult for the students and refused to pass. coach assigned the swimming test in the sea instead of swimming pool just because his time arrange. But when the weather is bad and the waves are big, people can't swim at all even u swim well, if u can't swim at sea in bad weather, coach will not give u pass. My friend is already sick because of this, and he didn't get the certificate. He wasted a few days of vacation and the money. So angry about it.

A must for anyone visiting Thailand and interested in diving.

Fun, safe and proffesional. Must go when in Koh Chang for people looking to get certified. I cannot recommend this place enough, even in rough weather conditions and low visibility as a novice diver I felt in safe hands. I trully believe that if you want to get certified in a tropical place, there is no better place than in BB divers Koh Chang. My sincere thanks to Tan, Katarina, Kristel and the boat crew.

Overwhelming Experience!

Undergoing a diving course was not in my plan of staying in Koh Chang at all. But I know a friend who's diving with this dive shop and coincidentally met the dive instructor. And also found out that they offer a free trial so I decided to give it a try and purchased the course later on. After my first dive, due to the bad weather, they had to call off the rest of the dive and had me continue my dives the next day. But with miscommunication and my misunderstanding made me unable to go diving on the next day and they re-arranged my dive program professionally.Though, this was my first diving experience but I do not find anything irritating at all. The equipments are in a good condition, the staffs are nice and what I really appreciate is that my dive instructor is very dedicated. Having a dive with passionate instructor is one of a factor that make me love BB divers so much. I absolutely am seeing myself coming back here for more diving courses. If you are thinking of getting a PADI open water diver course. NEW DIVER

It was great!! I just finished my 3-day course and it was magnificent. The course is intensive and thorough, encompassing a lot of information to prepare me for the open water. On the first day, I got a lot of theory to learn including quizzes and my instructor guided me through each chapter and explains all procedures with a lot of patience and clarity. The practice sessions inside the pool are necessary to understand what you learned. After the second day, is where the magic happened. With the knowledge that I learned, I barely felt nervous anymore when we finally entered the ocean. I now fully understand the beauty of diving and it allows me to spend more time on activities together with my girlfriend who has been a diver since 8 years now. Special thanks, of course, goes to my dive instructor Charles. He's been my teacher, my dive buddy, and mate throughout the course. No shortcuts to finish the course, serious about the craft, but light-hearted and pretty much awesome guy. Thank you so much BB Divers I also recommend to go diving nowadays, less tourists and the boats are rarely filled. You will see more fish than people :)

What a great and rewarding experience !!! Tea, my instructor was very patient and pedagogue. His personalized advices were a great help for self-confidence. Otherwise the dives are well organized and the food on the boat is delicious. Moreover all the diving site are beautiful. I can only recommend this very professional structure.

Professional and fun

My friend and I did our OW with Tea and had an absolutely blast. We both had our own wobbly moments with confidence and Tea was very reassuring and helped us every step of the way. We felt very safe in his capable hands. He was incredibly knowledgeable and a good laugh too. Communication with BB in advance of our trip was good too as they used WhatsApp with us. First day in the pool was also at their lovely restaurant which had great food. Food on the boat was excellent too and they picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel daily. I'm looking forward to diving for fun with them in the future.

Extremely Professional Diving Instruction

Our three teenage children complete the 3 day Open Water Padi course in Koh Kood and we were very impressed by them. They were very professional and caring. The communication prior and during was excellent. They also helped us with other logistical issues. Our children loved the experience and are now divers for life. Would highly recommend BB Divers.

We had a great time at BB Divers while getting our Open Water Certification. It was very well organized, the crew was incredibly friendly and helpful and always open for questions and the food on board is delicious! We have never dived before and have made the OW with Tea. He is a very experienced diver with good humor. The first day we were in the pool at bb lonely beach. On the 2nd and 3rd day we did two dives each in the sea. The dive to the wreck was very impressive. Everything was perfectly organized: the shuttle from the hostel, the briefing before the dive and the very tasty lunch/food on the boat. We only can recommend bb divers and we will always remember our first experiences under water with bb divers. See you next time 👌😳

Vitaliy was an awesome instructor with a great teaching style that made the 3 day open water diving course a fun experience there was also just the two of us students taking the course so there was plenty of time for education and questions. Thanks mate!

Great first diving experience. Professional and relax!

Summary: Great dive center with good instructors, boats, dive gear and communication. Full Review: During our first day in Koh Chang I was reading the reviews of several dive centers on the Island. BB divers made the best impression in what I read. I decided to contact them and ask what the possibilities where. I did not have any prior diving experience and requested information on the discover scuba dive. I got a very quick and elaborate email back within one hour. I was happy and we agreed for me to do the DSD with possibility to go for the open water. My girlfriend could join on the boat for some snorkeling. Day 1: We were picked up by the known Koh Chang trucks and brought to the dive shop at the Bang Bao Pier. In the Shop I met Chris who would be my dive instructor for the day. He is a really experienced, nice and relax instructor. I told him, I have no prior a experience and if today is gonna be a success I want to do the open water. He said not to worry we are going to be very careful and relax, diving is all about taking your time. We went on the boat and could relax some time. During the trip to the dive location Chris explained us (a girl joined the DSD, so we were one instructor and two students/buddies) the basics and what to expect in the water. The first minutes in the water were hard, we first did some basic skills in the water. After we got used to the breathing we went down. We did not go deep, but it was really nice and beautiful. After the first dive it was lunch time. We had some home made very delicious thai food. During the whole day enough cold and hot drinks as well as sweet snacks were available. Also the boat was not overfilled with people so you had enough space to chill on the boat. The boat moved to a different dive location. We also had a second dive during which we did some other skills and went somewhat deeper. After the second dive we had a wrap up of the day and I was really exited in doing the open water course. However I wanted to think about it so I told Chris, I will decide later tonight. This was no problem. The next day I contacted BB divers and informed about the possibilities to do the OW. I also requested to do it with Chris as Instructor, this was possible and I agreed to do it one day sooner because my buddy from day one was also joining for the OW. Day 2: This day started with a theory session, we watched videos and did some tests exams in the BB dive shop at Lonely beach. Around lunchtime we were done with the theory. We had a nice lunch at the BB hostel/bar and some nice conversations. After lunch it was time for the pool session. BB divers own a training pool in which more difficult skills safely can be practiced. First we learned how to setup our diving gear. In the pool we did a variety of new skills and prepared ourself for day three. At the end of day 2 we got the theory exam. Day 3: This was the final day of the OW. Again we went out on one of the nice boats BB divers own. This day we had to do 3 dives in which we would also do the skills from the pool. All dives and skills went really good. Chris was at all times very helpful and I like the way the acts as instructor. Under water I felt safe and he was always there for us. He showed us some nice fish and took us safely to -18m. Final words: Without prior diving experience I have learned a lot during these 3 days. More than PADI describes in the learning manual, since I am a curious person and Chris the instructor answered all my open questions. I do not have any comparison with other dive centers, but I think BB divers is as good as it gets. Many dive masters and instructors on the boats. Diving is small groups of 2-3 divers per group. Very high quality of diving gear. Nice boats with very friendly crew members and good facilities. Good lunch, snacks and drinks on the boat. Perfect communication via email. If you are in Koh Chang and want to dive or to learn diving I can only recommend BB divers and definitely can recommend Chris!

Great Training Center, wonderful trips!

We spent four days this year with BB Divers, three of them on the boat. The only thing to say is: wonderful! The staff and instructors are friendly, very helpful and know their profession! We did an OWD course with our wonderful instructor Charles, it was a great experience and he managed to make “sea people” out of us Austrian “mountain people” :-) Also the boat, the food, the trips, equipment and choice of diving spots is outstanding, especially compared to other operators in Koh Chang! If you think about a PADI course, a diving trip or just a bit of snorkelling - this is definitely a recommendation to choose BB Divers!

Awesome diving experience with lovley and professional staff!

My boyfriend and I spent the last week in Koh Chang, Thailand and decided to go diving. I already did my open water diver course, so we looked for day trips for myself and a diving school for him. We had a look around the island and collected information in the different dive centers. After that we decided to go with BB Divers, a decision we do not regret. We booked three days with two dives each and a refreshment for me and an open water diver course for my boyfriend. They sent us a pick up and drop pf service to our hotel. The driver was punctual (and we are German, we know what that means 😉), helpful and always nice and friendly. The staff: The staff in the shops could answer every question we had and gave us heaps of information about the dive school, dive sites, equipment and the day tours. They speak good and clear English, what is the reason why we decided to book with them. My boyfriend´s instructor Chris is such a nice, friendly, funny and lovely guy, who is always professional and patient. At any times he took good care of us and we felt safe on our dives with him. Because of the low season it was possible for me to join my boyfriend for the ocean dives as his buddy, a big pro if you´re not in the high season is that you don´t have to share your instructor. Chris found the perfect balance between practicing important skills and enjoying the dives. He showed us heaps of fishes and corals, we would never find by ourselves. It was a pleasure to dive with him. My boyfriend was very happy to do his open water course with Chris and we can only say thumbs up and we highly recommend taking a course with him. My boyfriend couldn’t ask for someone better, well done Chris! 😊 On the first day with BB Divers my boyfriend took part at a theory and pool session, so I went out on the boat by myself. I did my refreshment with Tea, a local dive instructor with easily understandable English, patient, smiling and easy going, but always professional. Before we went into the water for the first dive, he showed me and the other two participants how to use the equipment and explained the most important skills, he reminded us of what we learned once in our open water diver courses as well. As we went into the water we practiced the skills first and after everyone felt comfortable he showed us the dive spots. Tea is a genius in finding random and hidden fishes. He was assisted by one of the local divemasters (so sorry I forgot the name), both took good care of us and I enjoyed my dives with them, because I felt safe. The boatcrew is lovely! On our first common boat trip my boyfriend got seasick. One of the crew members gave us a life west to use as a pillow, another one helped us out with a pill and tiger balm against seasickness. They gave us a hand with the equipment and helped us to jump off the boat and to get back on it. They always checked our BCD and air before we jumped off. At any moment we felt welcome, safe and comfortable. The daytrips and dive spots: All three days were similar. It begun with the pick-up service (8 am) and the driver brought us to the BB Divers center at the pier, for choosing and fitting our equipment. After that we got on the dive boat, quite a big on compared with those I used before, but well maintained with heaps of space to enjoy the ride. Because of the low season there were not that many customers, so it was not crowded. I loved to lay down on the big mats on the boat for napping and relaxing. We drove about one hour and a bit to get into the national park. After arriving we started our first dive, after that we got a lunch break with delicious food, there was a choice of meat, fish, vegetables, rice and curry. After that break we moved to another spot for the second dive and we were back at the pier at around 4 pm. On the way back, they served us fruits and there was all day self service for coffee, tea, water and soft drinks. The dive spots Koh Yak Yai and Koh Luan were set for all our daytrips, the reason is the weather in the low season is quite stormy and rainy, so the ocean can get choppy and to go to the national park is safely. But we could see heaps of different fishes and beautiful corals. And because of it was one of our first diving experiences, we were exited anyway and spent a lot of our attention to our body and breathing. One day the captain said, that the boat can not go out for weather reasons. The whole crew apologized for that x-times, but in our opinion, they don´t have to, it’s a good feeling that safety comes first! Prices: The actual pricelist is published on the BB Divers website, so I don’t need to give details here, what I can say it is not the cheapest dive center in Koh Chang. But it is every cent worth it!! So, all in one, we say thank you to the whole BB Divers Team for making us such an amazing dive experiences and an unforgettable holiday memory. Thank to Chris for being who you are! We can only recommend booking with BB Divers, we haven´t regret it!!

I have never written a review for anything online but after completing my Open water coarse yesterday I wanted to right away! The entire BB staff are not only very professional but kind, friendly and caring about all their customers. I felt part of the BB family from day one! My awesome instructor “Tea” is the man!!! Could not have had a better experience!!! My fellow students had the same feelings for their instructors!!! Very professional & welcoming team

My wife & me made from 23rd-26th of Febriary the open water diver course. The Team / Instructor / Training was very well organized. They are not just pushing People though the course, the do really take care on the individual Trainees! Our Team was with one Instructor & 3 Trainees very well sized. Our Instructor was Tea, which has great 13 Years of experiance - ask for him!

Amazing Experience and Great Instructor

My wife and I did the open water diver course in January 2018 and thought our instructor (Tea) was diligent (safety focused) and informative about the sea life and scuba diving in general. We enjoyed the diving and the wreck dive was the highlight of our trip to Koh Chang. Definitely recommend BB Divers.

Very good experience

We, but my son-in-law and I, had 3 wonderful days with our director Michael, who was super pleasant, serious, understanding, yes just mega cute. Everything was so fine right from the first day in the pool to the boat we were on the last two days good food all the days all that we could drink .the equipment we borrowed was perfect ,my daughter came with the last day and we got dived some nice places.so will definitely give my hottest recommendations for BB DIVERS

Ideal experience!

We spent 3 days open water with our instructor Charles. He is attentive and extremely educational. He was able to give me confidence and make me love diving in just a few days (which was no easy feat). There were only two of us for the training which allowed us to do the exercises in depth. The dives are very very beautiful We had 3 wonderful days! I recommend to everyone who would like to dive in Koh Chang BB divers.

OWD with Violaine 🤙🏼

An unforgettable experience in superb conditions. Very warm atmosphere during his 3 days of training on the boat. Everything is organized perfectly: travel, meals, equipment, and people :) And what about Violaine, my Diving Instructor, who followed me individually to teach me the basics of diving. Vio is professional and puts her counterpart in confidence, plus we had time to discuss a lot on multiple topics of conversation. A very nice meeting. First dive for my girlfriend and me. It was a very nice experience. Especially thanks to our instructors; Chang and Quentin. They were very patient and educational, and above all kind. I fully recommend them!

I had the chance to do my Open Water and my Advanced at BB Divers and, to summarize: -diving spots: 5/5 -professionalism: 5/5 -security: 5/5 -equipment: 5/5 -food on board: 5/5 -ambience: 5/5 Big thumbs up to Charles, my instructor, a professional passionate about the sea and his job who shares and transmits this passion. Go there with your eyes closed.

Super experience with BB Divers

Attended this course and had a super instructor called Chang - 17-20/8 he was really educational and took it all over again if you didn't understand the first time. He was reliable and you felt you were in safe hands, even if you had to do some limit-exceeding exercises at a depth of 6 metres. Can be highly recommended. Wh Thomas

Journée découverte puis Open Water.

Après une fait une journée de plongée découverte entre amis, à admirer les coraux de Koh Chang avec un instructeur pour 2 personnes (dont Charles, Karim, Chang, ...) qui s'adapte au niveau de chacun, j'ai tellement apprécié l'expérience que j'ai décidé de reporter mon départ de l'île pour passer le PADI Open Water. C'est Charles qui a été mon instructeur pour l'Open Water. Il est super pro, sérieux et rassurant. Après avoir fait la théorie et les exo en piscine, ma femme (qui avait déjà son PADI) m'a accompagné dans les plongés et a pu en profiter pour améliorer sa technique. Un super moment, dans de superbe environnement (les coraux, l'épave et sa foultitude de poissons, ...), avec un super instructeur ! Je recommande sans réserves ! :)

Open Water parfait avec un instructeur parfait (Pierre)

Nous avons découvert ce centre de plongée à la bonne réputation suite à des recherches et des recommandations. Nous avons commencé par un baptème que nous avons transformé en Open Water. Notre instructeur, Pierre (il est Français), était pro, décontracté, et est naturellement rassurant. Savoir, en plus, que ce centre veut agir pour la préservation et la reconstruction des coraux, pour nettoyer les plages des dêchets, et pour éduquer les enfants et un énorme + pour nous qui voulons voyager le plus responsablement possible. Bref, une expérience qui restera dans nos mémoires, avant la prochaine, car nous voulons retourner dans le coin et replonger avec ce centre (et si possible, avec Pierre ^^).

Open Water mère et fils avec Charles, expérience juste géniale. Charles est top comme instructeur, patient et pédagogue, autant sur terre que dans l’eau. Je programme déjà un prochain voyage à Koh Chang pour passer mon Open Water Advanced 😊 Staff au top, repas (délicieux) fourni sur le bateau, on s’en met plein les mirettes et les papilles. Vivement que je revienne !
