Left Tigers to Sell us on Boat ride

I want to start off this review by saying we saw tigers and I would absolutely recommend a visit to this park. However, our actual experience in the park was lacking. Once we arrived, we transferred to a different jeep. It’s not clear if this jeep is also run by the tour company, or how it is decided. Our jeep driver did not speak English, nor attempt to communicate anything to the Hindi speaking part of the group. When we saw the tigers we stayed to watch for awhile, but then our driver brought us to a parking lot to try and upsell us on a boat ride that was not included with the tour. Firstly, we are clearly here for the tigers and would have much preferred to stay watching the tigers like the rest of the 15+ groups. Honestly it was ridiculous to pull away from the tigers to get upsold on something we didn’t at all ask for. Secondly, the other 5 groups at this parking lot had picnic breakfasts with tea, food, and blankets. We didn’t expect this as part of the tour, however since we didn’t buy the extra boat trip we just stood there in the parking lot waiting for our driver to get back in the car. At the very exit of the park the staff told us that there was supposed to be a naturalist guide in the car with us, but they were on strike. They refunded us 100 rupee each, which seemed like a criminally small portion of the 5,000 rupee “tour fee.” Clearly this is out of the tours control, but it would have been nice to be informed before our 4 hour journey. Additionally, other groups appeared to have guides in their jeeps. It’s not clear how they got guides, but clearly some jeeps were higher end than others. At the end of our ride home our transport driver (not park driver) continuously insisted on a gift or tip, which left a bad taste in our mouth. This feels like a very high fee for the actual service provided. If the jeeps are out of the control of the tour company, this should be clearly communicated because experiences are directly dependent on your jeep driver.

Good organisation and overall experience.

Great overall experience! Pickup was in time and the driver to the park told us many interesting things. Tour in park was good. We saw a tiger family and some otger animals. Organisation was great.

Vast jungle but no tiger in sight

The road to reach Panna Tiger Reserve was slow. We left very early from Khajuraho. Once we got there, our driver had to wrangle with several other people to get a jeep assigned for us. We had chosen a dedicated (not shared) jeep. For taking so much money, I wish the place was much cleaner and more organized. It was not. Finally, we were able to get a jeep. We were assigned a guide whose knowledge was pretty poor. He could not speak much English, only the local language, Hindi. We understand that seeing tigers can be a dicey thing but could not see even one of the 85 tigers that were supposed to be residing in that reserve. However, the place is huge. It has lot of teak trees and a variety of others. We saw several monkeys, elephants, and some other animals. It was not a Wow by any means.

We had a wonderful time roaming around the reserve. Our guide DK was blessed with Eagle eyes helping us observe Elephants, a hyena, a tiger, deer, misc interesting birds… and an eagle 😂. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience: so glad we did it

Tiger Experience

Our Tiger experience was very good as we sighted a tiger ! Our driver was attentive to the sightings given and drove us to spots where he thought we best could see a tiger. After that we drove to different scenic spots including waterfalls, families of monkeys, birds even a jackal. Thankyou from The Canadians !

Great safari in Khajuraho!

WE SAW 4 TIGERS AND A LEOPARD! So happy with Classic India Tours. We arranged a safari package to Panna National Park that included transportation, guide, gypsy and entry to the park. Totally worth it, and a very good price (other agencies were charging more than 10,000!) The team at the office always responded to our questions immediately, and the jeep to pick us up was exactly on time, to the minute. Important to book ideally a week im advance, but if you're lucky they sometimes have spaces last minute too. The morning tour is longer and you have more chances of seeing tigers. Park entrance is cheaper to go on a weekday.

Fantastic tour company based in Khajuraho

Sincere thanks to Mr. Narendra Shivhare for his seamless and expert coordination of our Panna & Khajuraho visit! Mr. Narendra is himself based in Khajuraho and he arranged a great tour of the temples for us (1/2 day) plus an early AM safari at the Panna Tiger Reserve. We were excited to see monkeys, peacocks, elephants, wild boar... and yes, even a tiger! The two tours we booked went so well, we ended up working with Mr. Narendra to plan our onward travel from Panna (including 2 car bookings and an overnight stay). Highly recommend this tour company as I plan to use him for future India travel bookings in the future.

We saw tigers and leopards in the same tour, very recommended. It can be different for you because every tour in different.

To be visited only in winters

The park is quite big. Actually we went there at not very appropriate time It was quite hot and the jungle as dry.we could find Sambahar & deer. Tiger was at a quite far away location. Guide could just inform about Tiger 🐅. Not very clear. Would advice for visiting this place in winter only.

Fantastic tiger encounter

Awesome experience!!!! Everything was smooth from start to end. We were able to spot a bunch of animals ( 2 sloth bears, langurs, antelopes, deer ), but seeing the king of the jungle was a real treat! The tiger suddenly appeared in the late afternoon, about 45 mins before the end of the safari. I couldn't believe my eyes!!!! I expected a very short encounter. Instead, the tiger stayed with us for 15 mis! After failing to get prey, he turned around, posed for a while, and started walking alongside the forest until he got to a small pond. Then he took a sip and immersed himself in water.

Caution - cancelled last minute and lost place

Tried to call me after 10pm to tell me they were changing pick up from 5.30 to 4.45am. When I did not pick up they cancelled my place. I don’t think it is reasonable to except people to be checking messages at that time when they are expected to get up for a 5.30 start. Might be worth choosing a different tour company if you want to avoid a similar disappointment.

Amazing treat to see tigers in their natural habitat

To find a peaceful protected place in India is a rare and well worth the visit. I didn't see tigers on my first visit as it was the afternoon so I booked again to go in the morning and saw 4. An adult and 3 about 6 months old. The guides are all very professional and ensure your safety and enjoyment. Well worth a visit!!

Wild boar, chital, sambar, nilgias, and TIGERs!

Amazing park, full of easily visible wildlife. Tiger was on the menu. The tour was easy to set up, and you are taken care of from start to finish. The only downside for me was the Jeep ride to the park. Even though there was plenty of time, the driver took a shortcut through the local village. This was great to see, but he was driving so fast that you could see the fear in the eyes of the women and children we passed. I try to be respectful of other cultures, but this was very unpleasant for me. Hopefully, this is unusual as the rest of the day was exceptional!

Great experience, even spotted a tiger!

The safari was great! Our guide first ensured that we got the very limited slots to enter the core zone of the National Park and thereafter was extremely knowledgeable as he and the forest department guide informed us about everything the forest had to offer. He also created a very nice environment for us and communicated well throughout. The highlight of the trip was definitely spotting a tiger, and the guides worked together to ensure we picked a spot that would give us an excellent view. We got many good photos. Overall, one of the best safari experiences we have had, and one that I would recommend to everyone.

Excellent Panna safari experience with Mr Narendra Shivhare

The experience was superb and the extra effort shown by the accomplice was very overwhelming, the after effect of the safari will remain as one of the most exciting one, thanks Mr Narendra Shivhare

Excellent experience at Panna safari

Excellent experience thanks to the tour coordinator Mr Narendra Shivhare who is a wonderful human being and cared for us meticulously. Punctuality and quality were very nice as well as smooth safari experience. We had great sighting of wild animals including a Royal Bengal tiger from a very close distance of about ten metres, she gave us a greeting with a gentle roar. We saw hundreds of spotted deer and sambhar also. We entered through the Madla gate after scrupulous screening by the authorities and had this wonderful experience. I hotly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Panna national park safari.

Good Experience

It was a fantastic experience. Got to see two tigers. Saw other animals and birds too. The beauty and environment of the national park was well preserved.

Very serious company that does its best to see Tigers

Very serious company : pick on time / great car / great van Great place also! The driver & guide really did their best for us to see the Tigers but it was not the best period of the year To balance it, we got the opportunity to add a boat drive in the reserve to watch crocodiles. All in all, good experience & memory.

Wonderful place, great organization.

We went on a morning safari twice and saw lots of animals, birds and of course a tiger. Everything was well organized, transport to and from the hotel was provided. Everything on time and with a smile on your face. I recommend!

Surprising adventure

Fantastic experience! We saw reindeer, monkeys, royal peacocks, eagles, and the grand finale a tiger not at all afraid of the motorized vehicles that surrounded it. 2:30 trip with a very professional staff. Do not hesitate.

We would repeat again!

The experience has been excellent, we were picked up at the right time, the driver was friendly and professional. We had prepared a small breakfast that later came very well. Everything went according to the reservation of the excursion. Recommended 100%.

Realice esta actividad por mi cuenta. La recogida fue puntual y no hubo problema. Lamentablemente, no pude ver tigres ese día, aunque vi monos, ciervos, aguilas y cocodrilos, pero durante el recorrido en coche hasta el parque, pude ver la India rural.
