A must do!

Luca was knowledgeable about all the creatures we encountered. He was friendly and helpful. We saw koala, little penguins, Tamar wallabies, kangaroos, possums and even microbats! Well worth the trip! A great way to end our stay on 🦘 Island

Awesome experience

The tour was amazing. Our guide was super knowledgeable and funny he also took his time to find us some local wildlife. Was a nice trip as it was well organised and the car was very comfortable.

Wallaby rendez vous

Do this tour!

Luca was an excellent guide and knew all the spots to find creatures in the night. We saw many possums, kangaroos, and wallabies as well as penguins, koalas, and birds. Bonus star viewing with Milky Way views was also spectacular. Did not disappoint!

A great evening!

Late evening kangaroo spotting tour.

Enthusiastic guide who knew all the back roads and didn't disappoint. Saw plenty of Wallabies, Kangaroos and a rare copper snake. Very informative and enjoyable evening trip.

One of the best experiences on Kangaroo Island

Great experience!! Luca, our guide, led us as near to the wildlife as we could possibly hope - we even spotted penguins! - while explaining about the animals and their life on the island. He was very professional and precise, and easy going too. Recommended!!

Amazing animals at night!

We had a great time finding and viewing wildlife on Kangaroo Island on this tour! Most wildlife is nocturnal and this tour offers a great opportunity to see animals outside of zoos and parks.

Amazing night tour

We had an amazing night. We saw 4 koalas, 1 owls, many kangaroos, wallabies, little penguins and possums. It is totally worth the money!! We went on other tours, too, but we saw the most animals during this night tour. We even saw a koala JOGGING&RUNNING! We also met little penguins very closely, comparing how we met them in other tours. The whole trip was safe and the guide was very considerate. It was a “once in a life” experience for us.

Not worth the $ and time

Our family of 3 was on the 4WD Nocturnal tour that start from 8pm to 10.30pm with Luca. We felt that it was a total waste of money (A$100 per person) for a tour which we only sighted Kangaroos and Wallabies. We did not see any Koala, Owl nor Penguin that night - only lots of wallabies and kangaroos. Luca, an Italian staying in KI for many years, was indeed very knowledgeable but may not be at his best to find us wildlife that fateful night. We went home disappointed. Paying a fraction of the cost to visit Wildlife park in main SA are more worthwhile.

Luca is a local gem and expert wildlife finder!

What a fantastic tour! Luca was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and with loads of experience having been on KI for more than 20 years. Within a few minutes of the tour starting, we got to see wildlife, and it didn't stop for the full tour! We got a great experience seeing some backroads and getting off the beaten path to see wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, echidnas and even a barn owl! The ride was comfortable, and we also had some great conversation along the way, including discussions about food and wine. I would definitely recommend this tour and this company. Exceptional service and a very enjoyable experience!

Great experience

Highly recommend adding this to your holiday, Luca is so welcoming and educational, you see beautiful wildlife along the way and learn so much knowledge of kangaroo island itself. You can see how much Luca loves to share all his knowledge and that made my day, he is so pure and I wish for everyone to have the privilege to meet him and experience it for yourself.

An array of KI icons in their own habitat. Echidnas, wallabies, Ki kangaroos, koalas. And a side of island history. Just 3 on the tour and Luca was a great guide making sure we all saw the animals before moving on. He navigated the islands unsealed roads wit ease in the comfortable 4wd.

Great evening tour

I did the evening tour with Luca and it was brilliant! Luca took us to places that only a local would know about and we saw heaps and heaps of wildlife. Time was given for us to stop and look at the animals as they appeared, and the tour was very relaxed and fun. The tour was flexible and took our preferences into consideration. I highly recommend this tour.

Terrific Night Time Tour

Luca was really easy to book with; I’d recommend booking directly through him. His vehicle was extremely clean, safe and he drove so smoothly. Memorable experience

We went for this trip with Luca and I can say it was a great experience. Luca is very knowledgeable and took us to the spots where we were able to see wild animals. His knowledge about KI is amazing and he was very professional. The car was very clean and Covid safe and he knew shortcuts in the wild which was a great drive.

Guided night Tour

We did the nocturnal guided tour and it was terrific. Luca s a great guide with very interesting stories and has lived on the island for 20 years. We saw 100s of Kangaroos wallabies possums and an echidna. We went searching for penguins and owls. Great tour.

Great experience

We have been to KI many times but this was the first time that we have done a nocturnal tour. It was fabulous. Born and bred Aussies but we learnt so much from Luca who was born in Italy! Great tour, saw lots of active animals and birds all from a very comfortable vehicle. Luca was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. Also stopped for some star gazing amongst the clouds. Again Luca was very informative. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Great night out

I did the nocturnal tour with Luca who was able to include my booking at short notice while visiting Ki and it was a great experience. He has a great local knowlege and knows where to look to find all the locals that come out after dark. We managed to see kangaroo's, wallabies, possums, koalas, penguins and even an owl fly by after finding its evening meal. To top it off also got to do a little star gazing on a relatively clear night which was an amazing sight in itself. Definitely a must do if you are on the island and want to see the local wildlife in its natural surroundings and more active than during the day.

Very good ~ well presented trip

Nocturnal tour. Really good, we saw all the night-time fauna ~ roos, wallabies, echidna, possums,penguins and for me the high-light was the eerie white owl. The silent killer. And the stars, we stopped in an place without any town lights, awesome. Comfortable vehicle and knowledgeable guide. Luca certainly knows his stuff. Animals a plenty and comfort too.

This was a fantastic experience. Our guide was friendly and informative. We saw plenty of animals including kangaroos, wallabies, possums, a koala and little penguins. Also stopped to view the stars. A really wonderful night.

Excellent experience

Luca was an exceptional tour guide. We were able to find so many animals up close and star gaze at the end of the tour as well. The ride was packed with fun, adventure and ofcourse informative anecdotes about the animals.

Amazing without words to explain

Luca took us to some of the most spectacular spots which you will never know or find by yourself. I highly recommend taking this night tour with Luca and getting a taste of the really outdoor experience and seeing some of the amazing sights. The surprise at the end of the tour was the cherry on the top. If you really wanna know what the surprise was then you’ll just have to take the tour with him.

Soo many wallabies! The tour was excellent, a lot of kangaroos, wallabies, possums, koala and an incredible night sky with millions of stars!

Great Experience

Such a lovely night adventure looking for animals in their natural habitat without any interference with their activities. Luca the guide was so friendly and very well informed. It was a clear sky night and he showed us the southern Cross and the Scorpio horoscope which was really fascinating. He knows the places he drives in very well, the caves where penguins nests, even the best location to look for the Koala bears. The tour was really nice and I enjoyed every minute.

Amazing nocturnal visit!

Luca was absolutely phenomenal! The tour is so much more than it says. We saw LOTS of wallabies, kangaroo and brush tail possum - as well as two koalas, penguins and an owl. There was also a stop off to look at the night sky to see constellations. We thought we were lucky to see them all but it was all thanks to Lucas keen and experienced eye. Luca is very very knowledgeable about what he does and we couldn’t recommend the tour more!

Had an amazing nocturnal tour - saw an echidna, owl, kangaroos, joey in pouch, wallabies, koala, penguins, possums, and lots of interesting information from the guide, Lucca.

Highlight of my KI trip!

Saw lots of kangaroos, wallabies, possums, echidna, koala and even an owl!! Lukas was an awesome tour guide. I couldn't believe the amount of animals we got to see, and his knowledge of them and funny/engaging conversation made it even more enjoyable. If you want to see Australian wildlife... I highly recommend this tour!

Absolutely wonderful

My son and I took the nocturnal tour with Luca, and just one other passenger. He picked us up from Kingscote on time and we had the most fabulous three hours. We saw innumerable kangaroos, wallabies and possums, plus owls, little penguins, a koala and four echidna (including a baby one which walked in front of us, an inch from my foot. Luca was incredibly knowledgable and good company, and knew exactly where to find the wildlife. It was a magical trip, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it. Thank you, Luca.

Wonderful nocturnal tour

We only booked the nocturnal 4WD tour just before we visited Kangaroo Island but we're so glad we did. You get to see so many more animals at night than you do during the day. We were literally surrounded by wallabies and kangaroos, and we also saw echidnas, possums, a koala and a penguin. Luca is a wonderful host and we really enjoyed our time with him. He knows exactly where to go to get the best chance of seeing the wildlife. I would recommend this tour highly.

Great night out on Kangaroo Island

Despite the recent fires KI is definitely open for business and still provides much for the visitor. Went on a truly excellent 3 hour night safari seeing an abundance of kangaroos and wallabies but also penguins and our first koala and a rare echidna. Our guide was really brilliant providing loads of information not only on the wildlife but also the history of KI. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel as part of the service. Worth every dollar spent. Don’t miss out.

Fantastic wildlife experience

If you have never been to Australia this is a must visit. If you have never seen wild animals (penguins, wallabees, cangaroos, ekidnas and opossums) within close reach, this is the activity you need to do. Island offers amicability and proximity as thankfully not many people roam and disturb wildlife interactions. It's highly recommended to go with a guide as they know best where the animals are. Guide has been very good at explaining all wildlife and its fun facts. If it wasn't for the guide, we had the chance to see ekidnas and penguins too! Last but not least, at the end of the tour we had a very interesting astronomy class with a clear sky: TRULY AMAZING, especially if you have never seen a clear sky at night. Knowledgeable and friendly guide

Luca was our guide for the nocturnal tour. Originally we were suppose to meet him in the hotel reception but somehow we missed him. Eventually we managed to link up wit him. Luca was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered our questions well and we spoke about many topics apart from the animals too. He knew the places to find particular animals and had a powerful torch to spot the animals. It was an enjoyable experience with him.
