Strongly recommended

It's the perfect trip for those who have a short time in Jakarta. I've seen all the highlights of Jakarta and learned so much about it. I had initially booked the wrong date and contacted the provider. They responded quickly and agreed to reschedule the trip to that same day. My guide Nanda was lovely. I had a wonderful time.

Jakarta in a day !

Had the best city tour! BRYAN was very knowledgeable about every single area and didn't miss any info to share. Too much information in short time and you can remember the details. I had so much fun and will highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jakarta and has short time to see the city. ANDY the driver was super cooperative and friendly all day. Amazing, insightful, interesting, convenient.

I had an amazing time with this city tour. My tour guide Rafael was an amazing guide who took me to so many places in Jakarta like the national monument, Istiqlal mosque, and the Dutch quarter of the city. I learned so much about Indonesian history and culture from him. If you get to know him, he may take you out to eat later after the tour.

Great overview when short on time

Nanda was an amazing guide and she gave us a great understanding of the culture and history of Jakarta. She answered all our questions Car was comfortable, always nice to get back into the cool aircon. Lunch was great!

Jakarta City Tour

Overall tour is Good, The Package is Ok and Tomas is Very Good Guide. The Guided us to many Places in Jakarta and Gave us good Tips onnthe way. Also he is very knowledgable in History of Jakarta. The only part i did not like is the Car smells Cigratte. Overall Tour is Good and Recommended

Seeing the main cultural sights in Jakarta.

Enjoyed a very informative tour with my Guide Thomas. He did a great job giving me the history of this city and nation. As a solo traveller I couldn’t have done what we did today on my own. Terima Kasi Thomas.

City Tour

It was a great tour. The tour leader, Hertin, accommodated some special requests I had. I especially enjoyed Istiqlal Mosque and Jakarta Cathedral.

Learned a lot about Jakarta

We really enjoyed seeing the sights of Jakarta. I really wasn't interested in a puppet show, but since it was part of the tour, I figured I would do it. It turned out that was one of the more interesting stops of the day! It was more of a demonstration than a show, but it was fascinating. I'm not sure about the "souvenir". Our guide took several pictures of us and sent them to me, so I guess that was it. It was a fun day!

Excellent tour of the city

Our guide Rizky was knowledgeable, informative and friendly, he’s an excellent guide, we learned a lot about the history of Jakarta and he answered all my questions . He’s always looking out for us especially when crossing the street. Suparno was polite and very patient driver. The tour was well organized. I highly recommend this tour.

Lots to see and having a guide and driver helps!!

Rizky and ND were great!! This tour was about 8.5 hours and I saw a lot! Having a driver to drop off and pick up was super helpful given the traffic in Jakarta. Enjoyed this tour very much and Rizky was a fantastic guide!

Best way to experience Jakarta city in a day!

Great orientation about the history, culture, food and people. Lucked out as i was the only person so ended up getting a private tour! They are very punctual and extremely organised. Well planned out itinerary so saw pretty much everything there is to see at a tourist. Tashia my guide was very knowledgeable on everything about Jakarta and Indonesian culture. She was so kind that she lent me her portable fan as she could see i was melting in the heat & humidity. Must do if you have a day in Jakarta city!

Tashia is a wonderful guide

What a wonderful day with Tashia. We visited the most important sites and monuments of Jakarta and we had a delicious lunch in a local restaurant when I enjoyed a delicious Cendol . Most of all I enjoyed the company of Tashia. She’s a lovely person always ready to make me the most confortable. And she is very interesting and I learned a lot about Indonesian culture and history. Thank you so much Taschia!

Great tour for seeing most of Jakarta

Really good tour for an overview of Jakarta visiting the main tourist attractions, the afluent and rougher areas. Our guide, Benny, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Answered every question we had and made us feel welcome throughout.

Recommendation

We had a great time at the tour. All the costs where included in the price, nothing additional, no tourist traps. Our guide Rafael was really friendly and super well informed, so he could tell us a lot about the City. He even took some extra time to show us more of the rising new parts of jakarta. The offer is really fair, you will get a lot for the price and won't scammed. Would definetly recommend!

Highlight of our stay in Jakarta

Miss Hertin was so Amazing today , we had full rich day of history and sites , this was perfect for our stop in Jakarta , we definitely recommend her and the tour , I forgot the driver’s name he was great too , navigating through the crazy traffic in Jakarta , he did so good.

Efficient and highly enjoyable

Besides being an efficient way to see Jakarta, Bryan, our guide, unceasingly shared his knowledge on the nuances of Indonesian culture and current affairs. His enthusiasm and humor made time flew effortlessly.

The good and bad

Enjoyed the tour tremendously, and tour guide Catherine has been most helpful and accommodating. The only major negative was the Viator booking page, the transport charges for hotel pick up was not clear neither were they helpful.

Great tour for a first-time visitor to Jakarta

This tour was an excellent way to spend a free day at the end of a work trip to Jakarta. Rizky, my guide for the day, was very friendly and provided a great perspective about the area and the local culture. The visit to the mosque and a conversation with a local puppet master (surprisingly!) were memorable highlights and made the tour worth it on its own. Despite the heavy traffic, I always felt safe during the journey with our driver. Highly recommend for solo travelers looking for something to do during the day.

No highlights.All terrible. Driver late for pick up. Guide spoke with driver more than describing Jakarta. Terrible meal. Guide unaware that mass held at cathedral on Sunday and I had to insist we come back later in the day so I could go inside

Nice tour

Tasha , the tour guide and the driver (forgot his name) did an excellent job with my Jakarta day tour. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Great view of Jakarta. big, noisy and dirty city

We had the guide and his driver, which was a good thing. Traffic is very congested and it would be difficult to talk and drive at same time. our party of four adults were picked up and dropped off at the cruise port. Guide was a mature gentleman ( sounded like GP) who was very knowledgeable about Indonesia- including political election. He was very patient and communicative. Will recommend him highly.

Rafael was a great guide in a very interesting city!

We spent the day with our incredible guide Rafael. He was wonderful!!!! Showed us all the highlights of his city for which he is very proud. No question left unanswered! If in Jakarta ask for Rafael and you will have the most wonderful day! Jakarta was a pleasant surprise!

Our guide Katherine was excellent. We went everywhere without delays. We decided to have lunch on our own. She arranged a table in an extremely nice café. The Batavia. We were all very pleased with her.

Fantastic Jakarta City Tour

Our tour to Jakarta city tour has been very informative and interesting. Visited many Indonesia's landmarks and historical sites. Our tour guides, Vincent and Noura, both were helpful and patient with us during the tour. They were highly knowledgeable of all local historical backgrounds of each monument.

The best way to see Jakarta

An excellent City Tour of Jakarta. Our tour guide Catherine was “the best”! She was extremely knowledgeable and her English was very good. All the sights were highlights but if I had to rank them I would rate the National Monument and the master puppet maker as tops. Lunch was very good but for my taste a bit spicy!! Overall however I highly recommend this tour.

Great tour but with a twist at the end

I took this private tour by myself from the Jakarta airport hotel. The tour operator charged me an extra IDR 300K (about $20) for pickup and drop-off at the hotel, as the hotel is located a bit far from the city center. The all-day tour itself was very comprehensive, it did make all the stops at the main city landmarks that were included in the itinerary. The tour guide was a young man whom I will call B. in this review. The driver (whose name I can't remember) had extensive experience navigating the streets of Jakarta, and it really showed. The first landmark we visited was the National Monument (MONAS) and the inside museum. My tour guide B. took the time to explain all the different dioramas displayed in the large marble-lined hall below Monas. The dioramas display the scenes from Indonesian history from the beginning during the earliest days of Prehistoric Indonesia, the construction of Borobudur, the Sriwijaya and Majapahit eras, followed with events from the period of European colonization and uprisings against Dutch East Indies Company and Dutch East Indies rule. The next stop in the tour was the majestic Istiqlal Mosque in central Jakarta. I particularly enjoyed the visit to the Istiqlal Mosque, the largest mosque in Southeast Asia and the ninth largest mosque in the world in terms of worshipper capacity. The tour around the mosque is conducted by a designated guide, and visitors need to dress properly for the tour inside the mosque; they will loan a long gown for the women, if needed. During the visit to the Old town, the tour guide (who I will name B) took me to Cafe Batavia, a very beautiful cafe/restaurant with a very European flair. The tour guide and I both had a beverage while at the restaurant, which I paid for (not included in the tour price). After that we went to see the puppet show, which I found quite interesting for the elaborate craftsmanship involved.  The visit to Chinatown, and particularly the open market and the temple, was very educational to learn about the Chinese heritage in Jakarta. By the way, B did a great job crossing the busy streets in Jakarta; he showed me how to briefly stop incoming traffic to cross the streets, not an intuitive task for sure! The least impressive site was Sunda Kelapa Harbor (the Old Jakarta Port), to see the traditional phinisi wooden sailing ships lined up. The place looks very run down and there were just very few phinisi ships. But it does give the visitor a glimpse of what it used to be under the control of the dutch in the early times. For lunch, B took me to an Indonesian restaurant where they served me several generous and tasty dishes, so that I could sample various plates (lunch was included in the tour). The food could have served two people easily! After lunch B and the driver took me back to the hotel, at which time we hit very heavy traffic. Upon arrival at the hotel I paid B the surcharge and a tip all in cash, which he put in his pocket. In the evening, I received a text msg from B saying he "He had had an accident, he had lost his wallet with the money I gave him and if I could help him..." (just to summarize the text exchange). It was an obvious scam attempt which I did not fall for. There was really no need for him to approach me this way; but it did show me that we - as foreign tourists - need to be very wary of scam attempts while traveling overseas. This is the reason I don't give 5 stars to this tour.

Being here again

It was nice and well organised. Seeing more places will be nice, but though are the most touching ones.

Great experience!

I went on a solo tour during my first time in Jakarta. Natashia was my guide. She was very professional and friendly as well. I got the chance to ask her any question, even about each dish of the Padang cuisine at the restaurant. We also got a chance to take a coffee break at Cafe Batavia and enjoyed conversation. A truly exclusive experience!

Wonderful experience

Wonderful experience on a Christmas Eve. My wife, our son and I do not regret taking this tour. Very polite driver and wonderful guide. Hertin has been a great guide, she gave us a lot of Information about all the sites visited. Even in the car she kept sharing information about the country, the city and its history!!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Jakarta City Guided Tour

The visit to the city went very well, without incident, we visited everything that was planned and within the planned time. The guide and driver were very friendly, attentive, competent in their tasks and experienced people. The guide has a lot of historical knowledge, so she explained the places we visited in great detail. Lunch was also good with very tasty typical Indonesian food.

Learned a lot!

Excellent tour! Very recommendable. Driver Robby did a very good job cruising us through the busy roads of Jakarta. Tourguide Catherine is amazing. We really learned a lot about the history and local habits. All the sites we visit were very nice and we enjoyed the lunch in Café Batavia.

Jakarta in a day

Good 1 day trip for everything. Having a local guide helps a lot in planning in getting about. Our guide Ben did a great job of listening to our requests and showing us jakarta. Local cuisine for lunch is also very good.

Great tour to spend layover in Jakarta, adapting timing to our needs

The tour was an excellent way to spend our 13-hour layover in Jakarta. Our tour guide, Thomas, was very knowledgeable and gave us a condensed yet insightful introduction into the history of Indonesia. The tour covered the a range of "must-see" sites accross Jakarta. What was especially great is that our guide adapted the timing of the tour to our needs, making space for lunch at a nice local Sumatran restaurant and for us to have a coffee at the Batavia Café. At last: Being able to coordinate on our pick-up and return to Jakarta airport was incredibly helpful - thank you very much, Thomas!
