Tour operator cancelled, missed out

The tour operator cancelled, and then refused to pick up my phone calls about a refund. I had to fight to get the money back. Called Viator twice, and then it worked. By contrast, my friend went at a different time with a different tour operator and said the leopard reserve was amazing. I will try again sometime but with a different tour operator.

Fraudulent operators

Driver was a complete fraud. We went into the reserve spent 15 minutes then he turned around and went back to pick up two others - we therefore missed out on the experience. We travelled 10,000 km for this experience and get treated like dirt by the money hungry locals - avoid at all costs. Waste of time and money - and it’s run by the government of rajahstan - I will be telling all my colleagues not to bother A disgrace!

Disastrous booking process

Disastrous booking process. Online booking of safari was not honoured after arriving at hotel few hours before the start. Wasted money, time and effort. High commissions payable to site was unviable to safari operator. He offered to book another after few days!! Trip advisor must pay for hotel, fuel, tolls and time.

Best trip of my life

Today, my friends and I, visited one of the most underrated and unexplored places in Jaipur that is Jhalana Leopard Safari. It was only 10 mins from my hotel in the heart of Jaipur. We had went for the evening safari with the trip organized by BanBanjara. Their services were well managed, as their coordinators were connected with us. We had spotted a bunch of Nilgais, Deers and we were lucky enough to spot 1 female leopard. Also our driver in jeep safari was very friendly and experienced so he spoke with us throughout the safari. Fun fact we learnt: Jhalana is comparatively smaller compared to other wildlife reserves in India so the chance of seeing leopards and other animals are comparatively higher in Jhalana.

Waste of time, don’t bother

The safari was supposed to start at 3 pm. We got into the jeep and were told we had to wait for a family of four. At 3.36 pm the driver gave up walking and we started the safari. After 20 minutes he took a call and said they had arrived and we needed to go back to the gate to collect. The safari wasn’t extended so we missed out on valuable time in the park that we’d paid for. We will be expecting part refund.

We took the morning Safari. We were in jungle from 6.45 am till 9, and we did get to site 2 leopards!!

We got to see the Leopard!!, actually 2 of them during our morning safari. The Jhalana jungle is a small jungle as compared to many other reserves, hence sighting is little more easier (one has to be lucky to sight any big wild cat in any reserve), the probability of sighting Leopard is higher at Jahana.

Jhalana Leopard Safari - "Meet With The Nature"

Went for an evening Safari in a gypsy with 2 other co-passengers.Shobhit accompanied us. It was a 2.5 hour Safari and we saw 1 leopard, lots of Nilgai, Peahens, Peacocks some exquisite birds, Langurs, Spotted Deers and a hare. The ranger and the passengers were very patient in ensuring that we got good sightings and especially took care of our little one. Would like to visit again in summer season in anticipation of more spotting and perhaps the chase. Thank you Trip Advisor for the great rates and a wonderful experience!! Excellent sighting experience

Chance of a good leopard sighting are very high especially in summers , first Safari were a saw a electric van for Safari , overall sighting was very good as we saw two leopards , flora and rana and that also head on , both sightings were more than 10 min , it’s very near to city area so u don’t need to travel much , I think a must visit for any wildlife enthusiast who is visiting jaipur

Disappointing Jhalana safari

The forest is nice, but there were disappointments: 1/ We booked (and paid online) for 2nd Jan 2021 afternoon safari, after checking availability, but Viator's tour operator BanBanjara called to say that the said slot is completely booked, and could offer only for the same day morning. 2/ While booking, they ask to fill hotel name for pick up. I assumed that we will be picked up from hotel, but the operator later told that hotel pick-up was not included (and in the booking form, that was only for information). Indeed, on closer look at website, I found that the same is written; but asking for hotel name for pick-up was confusing, and gives incorrect impression. 3/ We booked for 4 people. On arrival at meeting point we realised that we are being given 4 seats in a Jeep, shared with other tourists. This was not very clearly written in the booking form, and as a result we got the impression that we are booking a full Jeep. They pointed out that 4 seats on a Jeep of 6 has been allocated to us - however, actually the Jeep had 7 tourists (including 4 of us) + driver. Unfair practice, I'd say. 4/ Drive-cum-guide Rohit was very knowledgeable. He knew wildlife in the park well, and despite all other disappointments, the trip was nice only because of him.

Best Trip Ever

I have never thought that this kind of place existed in my home town Jaipur! Last Sunday I have experienced the new wonder of Jaipur that is Jhalana Safari. First of all, I would like thanks to the efforts of Rajasthan Forest Department who have provided the opportunity to us to interact with nature and experience the wonderful mammal- “The Leopard”. Till now I have only seen this animal on the discovery, national geographic channel and in the zoo behind bars. When I came to know that I can see it also in my home town in the natural environment then I decided to go there with my family. First of all, I was searching here and there for the booking but I got confused then one of my friends suggested me to go with the Banbanjara. Actually he has also gone with them and his experience was quite good. Then I booked the trip from their online portal. The best thing I found that they have picked us from our house where other tour providers told me to reach the entrance then they will start the ride from there and nothing included only they were asking me for the tour price. In the comparison of them, BanBanjara Travels provided us with a water bottle, soft drinks, entry tickets within a single cost and without any hidden charges. Our forest expert cum guide Rohit told some interesting stories and explain each point about the forest. I enjoyed that trip lot with family. Too much money for nothing

Totally overpriced! Better to book through the official website - then it only costs a third! We didn't get any water or juice bottles, let alone someone from the agency to greet us on site. All in all, totally disappointing and never worth the money!

no leopards seen

3000 rupees each to see leopards and the only thing we saw were little birds. We were stopped for more than half an hour at a lake where nothing arrived while the other jeeps who did the tour with us managed to see two or three. They should invent something to give paying customers the certainty of seeing at least one!
