Fantastic one-day deep dive in Jaipur

Nail (driver) and Sam (guide) exceeded my expectations. They drove me not only to the iconic landmarks but also to some awesome off the beaten track monuments in Jaipur.

Amazing experience

We had an amazing experience with Sam! He showed us so many great places and adapted the itinerary to our wishes and visit plans. He explained us with very good details all the tourist attractions. He also took great fotos of us which we would never think about and only a person with a lot of experience could know. What we liked as well was the possibility to choose the place for lunch among different types of cuisine (Indian/continental) . We found this tour super comfortable thanks to Sam’s driver who took care of dropping and taking us very close to the tourist areas and keeping the car always fresh with AC. We definitively recommend this tour and Jaipur in general as a must di for anyone visiting Rajasthan. PS. Think of keeping some cash on you for tips, they really deserve that

Reliable India Tours - 5 stars!

Reliable India Tours worked out great for us. We were staying at a hotel quite far from the city, but Sam and his driver were still able to accommodate. We got to see all the sights we'd hoped to and really enjoyed ourselves. You can tell Sam is the kind of person that really enjoys sharing his knowledge about the city and its history.

Good tour with knowledgeable guide

Great tour with the guide Gourav and driver Imran. They’re punctual and well organized the itinerary. At the same time, Gourav was wiling to understand tourist’s expectation and fulfilled my need. Being a solo traveler, it’s a good way to explore Jaipur in a full day with knowledgeable guide and safe driver. Thanks again for the team showing me beautiful Jaipur and gave me suggestions for knowing about this city. Gourav was patient and good at photography, it made me got some nice pictures as memories! Great Way to See Jaipur!

We had a great time with our guide Mustak and driver Abdul! We’re savvy travelers but wanted to see all the sights without worrying about transportation and with better information than the bare guidebooks out there have. Mustak was so knowledgeable and we learnt way more than we would have alone (not a lot of signs at the monuments). Air conditioning was also so nice between places. Delicious local food for lunch. Would absolutely recommend!

2 interesting days in Jaipur

We had 2 great days with our guide Sam. He took us to all the tourist attractions as well as a few unknown ones. Glad we decided to spend the extra day in Jaipur. His knowledge of the sites was amazing and he was able to suggest some good restaurants for lunch and dinner. we would highly recommend him.

Super Day Tour in Jaipur

Organized this tour at the last minute and everything turned out brilliantly. Manu was a great guide and the car & driver excellent. Both were very flexible and not only did the planned activities, but also gave us a couple of unscheduled stops that were super. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone looking to see Jaipur in a day with plenty of room to see the things that truly interest you.

Amazing day in Jaipur

We had a lovely day with our tour guide Kiran. He was very informative about all the places we visited, with a lot of knowledge about the history. Fantastic and accommodating guide

Good: saw the main sites, lunch was fine, good value. Bad: explained far too quickly to follow, moved us on consistently when we hadn’t finished looking around, stopped at several “shopping” places that tried to sell us things.

My wife and I really enjoyed the Tour. Sam was an excellent guide, showed a lot of knowledge about the monuments and even about astronomy and made us feel free to make changes to the itinerary. Honorable mention to the driver who was the only one of many we caught in India who drove carefully and defensively.

An amazing tour at a great price

We did the full day private tour of jaipur with Sam as our guide and Naim as our driver, both who are really amazing people. They made us feel very welcome from the start and took good care of us. There was so much to see in the day, even though we started at 9am, they extended our day until 8pm so we could pick up some souvenirs we bought that were being hand made. As well as all the advertised places, we stumbled upon some people on a pilgrimage who were dancing in the street. We were welcomed like royalty and everyone was so friendly. Naim even came to our hotel the next morning at 4.30am to take us to the airport, such wonderful service from both men. Given the price you pay for this trip and what you get, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company...thank you both for a memorable day.

The tour also pretty honest, no invisible add-on fee, no endless purchasing, you're totally fine to buy nothing and Sam will treat you still kind, pretty appreciate his professional attitude and friendly behavior!

AMAZING tour by Abid!

Now my friend and I have come back from India, and looking back to our time, we both agreed that the best part of our trip was the Full-Day Jaipur Private Sightseeing Tour with Abid. Our driver Sam texted me his information (his name, number plate, etc) a day or two before the tour via WhatsApp. He was very polite and was very nice to delay the starting time by 30 minutes. We really appreciated that extra time so we could have a proper breakfast. Our guide Abid also texted me a day before the tour, and they were both at our hotel 15 minutes before the starting time. Abid was FULL of knowledge! We really got to learn a lot of things wherever we went. We asked so many questions outside of the sites we visited, about culture, tradition, history, etc. and he answered every single one of them. Abid also told us some facts he learned from those he had a tour with in the past (e.g. why Chinese tourists are interested in a specific type of musk oil produced in India). He explained history and facts so well and easy to understand, that we always referred back to his explanation during the rest of our trip to India. One of the things we really appreciated about Abid was that he was very professional. Other guides from other tour companies we had before and after Jaipur, were very nice but also quite insistent on leaving reviews during or at the end of the trip. Now, I do understand that reviews are what tourists look into and decide whether they want to hire them or not, but I felt a little pressured to write reviews in front of them. I also think some companies might be paying more when/if the guide had his name in reviews. However, Abid NEVER asked us to leave a review, not even after the tour was over. He even offered us help organizing transport in other cities using his guide connections, but never pushy about it either. He is a very easy-going person, easy to talk to, my friend and I really wished he could come with us for the rest of the trip! Overall, we had a fun and educational day in Jaipur, and we highly recommend requesting Abid (guide) and/or Sam (driver) if you can 😊 I am very sure when I come back to Jaipur, I will be asking him again to be my guide! Thank you Abid and Sam for a wonderful experience my friend and I will never forget.

Exceptional Tour and Service

Excellent service. Punctual to the dot. Naim Bhai (driver) and Gaurav (guide) were exceptional. Very accommodating and knowledgeable. Also helped with great recommendations and spots to get great clicks. Highly recommended.

Awesome tour

Excellent tour with Sam and his driver. Sam speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable on all facts about Jaipur. So wonderful to be driven and have all our admission fees sorted with Sam (payable). Lunch spot was great as well. There are a couple of shopping stops - so if you really do not want this - make sure you mention this. We found it interesting and appreciate that it is not for everyone. We didn’t particularly like the rug stop - the owner was trying too hard and we don’t like rugs! Sam was great at ensuring we had some pictures taken. I would certainly recommend this tour.

Best way to explore Jaipur

We had a brilliant day with our guide Sam and driver Anand. Would 100% recommend this tour to anyone as we got to see and understand some many things around Jaipur. Sam was spot on, he was very knowledgeable, polite and also very funny which made our trip more entertaining. He also made sure we were all comfortable throughout the day and also safe whilst travelling the city. This is a must do when in Jaipur to explore the city properly with someone who is really passionate in this field. Thanks a lot Sam & Anand.

Fine

I did this tour solo and it was fine, they did everything as promised. Picked me up at the train station, driver was good and car was nice. First stop was Amber Fort and related/nearby sights. Then lunch stop, shopping stop, then really awesome cemetery, and finally the Jantar Mantar and City Palace (though I decided not to go there based on the guide’s advice/description). Tickets were not included in the tour price, the guide will help you buy them at each place required (and the guide gets free entry). Two things that could’ve been better: guide and shopping place. The guide was nice and had a lot of information to share at each stop. However, he wasn’t usually able to answer my questions. I’m not sure if it was a language barrier issue, but even after repeating and/or rephrasing questions, he would just tell me more facts that were related to our current location but didn’t necessarily address my questions. Not really a problem, but seemed like he just had a script he was running through. Not bad, but could’ve been better/I’ve had better guides elsewhere. I really have a problem with the shopping stop. The guide made it optional and I thought it would be interesting to learn about the local art form so I decided to go. However, the place we went used many slimy sales tactics and had an overall scam/taking advantage vibe. I’m certain at least most of their “pashminas” were fake/not of the purported quality, though some other things looked fine. I ordered a custom shirt made from a special local fabric to be delivered to my hotel that night. I had so many issues with the order and delivery, but I eventually received the shirt and it was fine. I don’t mind shopping while traveling and I know the tour guide receives some commission, but I wish a more reputable shop would have been chosen. The Google reviews of that shop (Heritage Village Textile) are questionable at best, and apparently they were removed from TripAdvisor. Overall, a fine way to get a tour of Jaipur. They get the job done, but don’t expect luxury/VIP treatment.

Amazing all-day tour

Mushtaq was amazing he was so incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. He helped to curate the experience exactly for us and offered several choices at every turn. We covered so much in this tour that would’ve been difficult to do on our own!

Amazing!

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time exploring Jaipur with Mushtaq and Lal Singh. Mushtaq, the guide, provided an extensive and thorough tour, and managed our time extremely well such that we were able to visit all the sites listed. There was also plenty of time for pictures, questions and breaks. Moreover, both the guide and driver made us feel safe, welcome and were kind enough to accommodate any requests. Do expect to be taken to affiliated shops and merchants in between your tour, which I found was common amongst all tour companies during my trip to India, including government guides. Whether or not you wish to purchase anything is entirely up to you. Overall, I would say the experience was well worth it. I took a few other tours around Rajasthan including Udaipur and found Sam and his team to be the most responsible and responsive in terms of organizing the tour and arranging pick-ups. I liked that everything was finalized and arranged early before I had arrived, making the entire booking stress-free. With some of the other companies I had no communication until a few hours before the tour was scheduled.

Best tour of Jaipur!

Memorable tour of Jaipur

Vismaya is an excellent guide. His understanding and communication of historical, cultural, artistic, architectural, and scientific details of Jaipur sites is outstanding. His English is very good. He is easy to understand and it is always possible to ask questions. He gave me enough time to wander around sites on my own to take photos. His command of crossing streets safely was excellent. I really learned a lot on this tour and got tons of great photos. Highly recommended.

Poor logistics and not reliable, but good guide

Guide went to the wrong hotel for pickup on two separate days. On the second day, he abruptly left the tour 1.5 hours early compared to what was agreed upon because he said he had another commitment. That being said, his English was great and he was a good guide.

Great tour!

We had a personable and knowleagble tour guide. We enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend it if one has only a short time to explore Jaipur.

100% recomendation

Sam was our fourth guide in India and this tour with Sam and his driver was a real pleasure. We visited most of the obvious monuments and then some more that Sam brought us to. His explanation was excellent and his photograph skills were even better. When we asked to go and look for dressed Indian shoes, he brought us to the right place. He also brought us to a textile block printing store and a small jewelry producer where we bought some nice rings, two interesting visits without any obligation to buy. The tour lasted from 9 AM till 6 PM without being boring. I would 100 % recommend Sam as your Jaipur tour guide.

Good and bad!

Me, my wife and mother waited for 20 mins at our hotel until I decided to ring the tour guide. He had forgotten about the tour. (He said he was never told about it, but perhaps he forgot we had messaged back n fourth as I discussed pickup location with him days prior. So we ended up waiting 1 hour so it did not start too smoothly. Sam was a good guide with excellent knowledge. He was easy to talk to and made us feel comfortable. We enjoyed the sights and was handy having a photographer on hand. The downside to all this is when guides take advantage of tourists and seeks personal gain. We were taken to learn about block printing which was interesting but then turn turned into a big sales pitch. We were later taken to an art gallery and to learn about gem stone work where we were taken into a network of shops all trying to sell us things. It puts a lot of pressure on us to buy things when a holiday is already so expensive. We want to just see the beautiful sights and experiences and not involuntarily be made to go shopping where we lose several hours of the tour-it's not what I paid for. As you all know travelling through India is just constantly trying to evade street vendors and locals selling things...then in the tour you end up having to do the exact same thing except in a actual shop-its exhausting. It left us feeling really flat and kind of disappointed. If shopping is no interest to you-just be completely clear you are not to be taken to do any shopping despite the tour guide attempting to play it off. Overall it was okay- just know what to expect from my honest review

The ever helpful Sam at Reliable India Tours.

We had a great experience with Reliable India Tours, all managed by the ever helpful Sam. We started by booking a full-day private tour with Mushtaq (Guide) and Vicky (driver), who were both amazing. They tailored the day to our requests and guided us through Jaipur, with a delicious lunch in the middle (Sam actually met us at lunch to check that all was well). After day 1 and the tour, we contacted Sam again and he arranged for us to be driven around daily by Vicky, which we were for the entire stay, waiting for us and taking us to where ever we wanted to go. This service made the trip a whole lot easier and more comfortable. Thank-you.

Amazing tour, great recommendations, deep dive in local culture

Amazing tour. Thank you Sam for the great recommendations throughout the day! We had a very balanced tour from excellent local cuisine and masala, top recommendations of local jewellery and carpet designers while seeing most of the historical monuments. We had a very genuine interaction with both the guide and driver with whom we had both lunch and dinner. Highly recommend if you want to experience both the historical, cultural sides of the city and discover the best local shops!

Informative day in Jaipur

Mushtaq was our tour guide and Irma’s was our driver. They were both very kind and welcoming! They knew a lot of information about the sites in Jaipur and helped us feel comfortable and learn about the city.

Amazing Experience

We had a fantastic tour with our guide Rajvender and driver Niam. Rajvender is a wealth of knowledge, he was able to provide in depth history of each place we went to and answered all of our questions. He is very friendly, outgoing and kind. I definitely recommend this tour to others. Breathtaking palaces.

Fantastic Jaipur Tour!

Fantastic tour from Gourav (guide) and Imran (driver) Reliable Tours, Gourav and Imran were all happy to adapt the tour to our agenda, which was very much appreciated. Gourav is an excellent guide, and I truly doubt whether you could do any better. He was happy to talk about any topic we brought up, and did so very knowledgeablely with great enthusiasm. Imran negotiated the crazy traffic calmly, which was also great.

Relaxed informative and enjoyable time in Jaipur

Jaipur sightseeing experience

Our driver Nadeem was really amazing. He was punctual and friendly. We had requested an English speaking guide and were assigned a Hindi speaking guide. He realized he could not help us and requested an English speaking guide to meet us after the first destination. That guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. We enjoyed our day seeing the sights of Jaipur.
