I booked private full day jaipur sightseeing tour by tuk tuk. My guide, Soni is amazing. Because of him, we enjoyed a lot. Also he explained about historical buildings, so that’s why we could have more knowledge and information!! Thank you so much. He also knows perfect place for taking pictures. We are so lucky to meet him. Jaipur is a beautiful place, I really like this city. I miss him so much !

A Day and A Half in Jaipur with Soni

I booked a private auto-rickshaw tour of Jaipur, and had in mind specific sites I wanted to see. Soni picked me up at 5.45am for sunrise. He suggested the best spot given my list of sites. The descent from the mountain led to the water palace and I learned the lake is man made. I was ready for the hot chai tea made by a street vendor. I am grateful for Soni's advice on spending time at Amber Fort, especially timing it to avoid the heat of the day. It was impressive, and I took the time to explore its many secret passages. I would have loved to have seen it in its heyday when all the gardens and fountains cooled it. Soni took me to a tiny temple off the beaten track (Bihariji) and an interesting pool from which people used to collect water. The architecture was very clever and I was struck by how happy a man was to be pouring water into bird baths, singing for nobody in particular. Sri Jagat Siromanini was delightful, especially a social interaction with some kids whose mothers were praying. I unexpectedly blew my daily backpacker budget to visit Ele Jungle and ride one of the elephants. I was pleased to see them happy and in good condition. I tend to avoid these places as they are often rushed and overly high priced. We had a lunch break at a lovely local restaurant, which was both affordable and delicious. I'm not into shopping, so the visit to the fabric store was wasted on me. The block printing was interesting though. I also wasn't planning to see the tombs of the Maharaja's family. The architecture is interesting, especially the marble from the different regions of India. I'd never have known had Soni not explained it to me before I entered. We finished a long day without having visited two of the sites on my list. So, I booked Soni for the following day as I was due to catch a train out at midday. We started at 7.00am to get an early start on Galtaji Temple. I wanted to see the monkeys, given I live in Indonesia and we have our own monkey temple. Soni organised a young man to give me a tour, including a motorbike ride up the mountain to save some time. I was horrified that the snack of choice for the monkeys was jelly candy and not fruit or nuts. Nevertheless, my guide was terrific at interacting with them. The temple itself has an interesting architectural position in nature. I was saddened by the filth of the holy water people were bathing and healing in. It seemed such a contradiction to the pure, fresh water sourced from a mountain spring. The human factor has a dreadful impact on it and it brought tears to my eyes. My final stop was Jantar Mantar, the ancient astronomy centre. This was important for me to see as my oldest grandchild wants to be an astronomer. The guides are hideously expensive and rush through as fast as physically possible to grab the next tourist's payment, which was disappointing given my purpose for sharing what I learned with my granddaughter. I took myself on a second tour of the instruments in the end. All in all, I enjoyed my time with Soni. He is knowledgeable, generous with his sharing and easy to communicate with. His instructions on getting the best out of a site is most helpful. My advice to anyone booking is to be clear about financial expectations up front. There were a few surprises. Highly recommended experience

Tour guided by Sonny, a man that explain everything so good with great pasión, making sure we are confortable and pleasant. The tour allows you to see the most important places in Jaipur and it is meant to be done along the day (meal included). No doubt I would repeat it.

We had Soni look after us both for the day as our driver. A great experience going to all the sights Jaipur has to offer and with the freedom and time to look around at each location. Also the advice at each spot with knowledge, picture opportunities and advice on prices for entry. All in all a great day out, shame we didn’t have an extra day.

Amazing trip!

We had an amazing time. Our driver Hassan was very polite, friendly and waited patiently while we got late. I would surely recommend this tour to anyone and chose Hassan as your driver. Out of all the places that we went to, the only place which I didn’t like was the handloom house at Amber fort. Overpriced shop and they try very hard to sell their stuff. Overall a great day.

Sohil is an exceptional guide

Our taxi driver was Sohil. He had an amazing understanding of Jaipur. He explained that he can also do a full day tour of the city. We wish we had known this as Sohil was a brilliant guide and his English is exceptional. My husband wanted his shoes cleaning on the way to the airport and he couldn’t help us enough. Couldn’t recommend Sohil highly enough

Great tour - our guide Raj was very informative and friendly. They took us to some local shops with no pressure to buy. For future visitors, I would recommend discussing which exact shops you'd like to visit and what lunch location you'd like to visit prior to disembarkment.

Best way to see whole of Jaipur

We had a two day private tour with Soni in and around Jaipur and it was incredible. We didn’t book a tour but Soni introduced himself outside our hotel and wasn’t pushy when offering us a tour. Soni planned the tour of what we wanted to see and by how long we had. Each place we went he advised how much we should be paying, things to be aware of like scams and pickpockets etc. and wasn’t putting any time pressure on us at all. We didn’t originally plan the second day of the tour but since the first day was so good it made sense! Would definitely recommend Soni to ensure you have an exciting, memorable and safe tour of the whole of Jaipur!

Jaipur on a Tuktuk with Soni

Soni is a super nice guy, who acceded to my asks for Maggi noodles and even sorted out transportation for me when he couldn't do my return trip. I am definitely coming back and getting in touch with him! Exploring Jaipur on a tuk tuk is a great way to see the city up close, and Soni is your man!

Great tour, friendly guide

The trip was great! We met the guide Suni at the hotel and he offered to show us around for both days we were in Jaipur. It was a fantastic offer - he showed us all the sights we wanted to see (the city palace and the amber fort) but also added some suggestions. A highlight of the trip was the monkey temple, where he brought along a monkey master and gave us a great experience. Cant recommend enough, and he is a super nice guy!

Was a great trip. The guide spoke good english and also knew some Spanish and Italian. he took us to all the main sites but also a few we wouldn’t have known about alone. highly recommend

See all the sights in one fantastic day!

We had an absolutely fantastic tour of Jaipur with Raj as our guide and Mohammed Shakir our driver. Shakir collected us from our hotel and arrived right on time! We then met Raj at Hawa Mahal and from there our fantastic tour began. We toured the Amber Fort (500 rupee entry) and the City Palace (700 rupee entry) as well as seeing Royal Gaitor, Jal Mahal, Jantar Mantar (200 rupee entry), a block printing factory and shop, and a restaurant for lunch (dishes around 600 rupees). Raj was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. He made us feel very welcome in Jaipur and snapped some great pictures! The tour was well paced with opportunities to take in the sights and ammend the itinerary as necessary. Raj accommodated our request not to see a jewlers as well as an elephant sanctuary. Overall, it was a very good day incorporating all the key sights of Jaipur.

Great tour of Jaipur

We had an awesome day on the tour with our guide Raj and driver Shakir. We covered all the main buildings and monuments of Jaipur as well as some extras like visiting a block printing workshop. Raj was very understanding to a couple of places we weren’t interested in visiting like an elephant sanctuary and jewellery shop. He let us feel like we could customise the tour to our interests. The tour was great!

City lights

Sony our tuk tuk driver/guide, lovely friendly guy. Knew the best time of day for any of the sights to take amazing photos in the right light. Happy and considerate, not pushy at all. He also knew where to get the best masala chai. He made our trip to Jaipur very memorable and interesting

Tailored Jaipur Tour with Sohil

We met Sohil through the travel travel desk at our hotel (Jaipur Hotel-New) and used his services to hire Tuktuks to different sites in the city, which was much easier than haggling out on the street to ultimately pay more than the price he got us. Because of a change in our travel plans, we had an additional day in Jaipur and asked Sohil to help put together a trip to some not-as-often visited places. He took us on a private tour himself in a very comfortable car to Monkey Temple, the Gaitor, Panna Meena stepwell, and the watchtower above Sagar Lake. Amazing day with sites we might have otherwise missed. Sohil is very knowledgeable and hands down the safest driver I’ve had in India. Excellent English, friendly, and excited to show you his home. 100% recommend.

Shabir was very informative and treated us very well. He gave us great advice about all the locations and we never felt under pressure at any point. We had a beer after together and we had lots of laughs together. You should book with him, you won't be disappointed
