Local walking food tour

Mr Vivek was outstanding. We were very much looking forward to sampling the Jaipur street food and understanding the Jaipur culture better and Vivek delivered us this experience. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and took us on a traditional and authentic local experience. The tour was persoanlised and we not pushed to do or buy anything. Highly recommend. shabash boi!

Great food tour

Great food tour but also a great tour of non touristy jaipur! Vivek was very knowledgable about all of the food we tried. He also showed us all of the different crafts in jaipur whist wondering the streets.

Amazing tour, the host goes out of his way to take you to the best food spots and talk you through the history and culture of the Pink City, including the less-touristy parts, and it was completely safe! We had a great time,would definitely recommend

Great tour in Jaipur

This tour is really worthwhile. You get to learn about the history and see hidden gems of Jaipur while also experiencing the food. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would definitely recommend it to others too. The guide was also super knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information.

Excellent tour, yummy food, wonderful guide

Vivek did an excellent job taking us around the walled city. He took us through some offbeat paths that we wouldn't have thought to see on our own, providing fun facts along the way and giving us some insider tips into navigating the city. He knows everyone at the shops, and showed us some amazing food spots. Really really would recommend him to anyone looking to see Jaipur.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Vivek. It was more like a walk around the town with a friend than with a tour guide. He was knowledgeable, personable and very relaxed. All the food we tasted was excellent too. We would recommend a tour with Vivek to anyone visiting Jaipur.

An essential part of visiting Jaipur

Vivek is a brilliant guide to a fantastic city. He arrived promptly at 9:50am and took us through temples, the backstreets filled with artisans, beautiful street food places and lovely restaurants. He gave us an excellent introduction to Jaipur, Rajasthan and Indian culture. He also gave us very wise, useful advice about common tourist traps, including down to the bottled water we should try to buy! Vivek never rushed us and, because he knew we didn’t have any appointments later in the day, spent lots of time with us, getting to know us, allowing us to get to know him and providing insights into this wonderful city. Having a guide opens Jaipur up: many people would not feel comfortable walking around temples, backstreets or bazaars without a guide. But not all guides are the same, and Vivek was standout. We felt constantly safe, had a great laugh and learned masses. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Vivek!

Magical street food tour experience

Just back from my wonderful street food tour with Vivek. He completely opened up a new side of Jaipur to us, that we would otherwise have struggled to see. Our tour was perfectly balanced between enjoying food and drink spots, with lots of walking and exploring in between. Thank you for sharing the rich history of this magical city with us!

Amazing experience

As we walked around the Pink City, we learned about the history of Jaipur, Hindu culture, and most importantly tried some incredible food. Raj is an amazing tour guide, very informative, chatty, and made us feel safe at all times. I would recommend him and this tour to anyone visiting Jaipur.

Delicious food with great company

We really enjoyed the company. Vivek is a great local guide of Jaipur and truly a foodie. We had a lot of delicious food, we felt safe and we learnt a lot about a great city. We would come back to Jaipur in a heartbeat and we would truly recommend Vivek to anyone.

Hearty experience in the old city

We spent a lovely evening walking around the old Jaipur city with Vivek. He met us at the Golcha cinema and spent the next three hours taking us around the old city, often foraying into narrow bylanes. His knowledge of the place and people is impressive and walking along with him was a very nice experience. We wouldn't have seen most of these places or understood the history without Vivek's anecdotal narrative. We loved the fact that Vivek was never in a hurry and also that he did look out for the safety of his guests throughout the tour. The eating stops were splendid and in particular, Samrat tea shop, Mathura peda and the "aloo tikki" really stand out. Best thing we liked is that Vivek does not take you shopping or try to sell you anything. On the contrary, he would give advice on the typical tourist traps that one should avoid. Highly recommend the tour even if you have read through every Jaipur guidebook. :) We also did a full day city tour with Vivek, spending time at the City Palace (private tour), Amer fort, Meerabai temple, Panna Meena ka Kund and Gaitor ki Chhatriyan.

Best walking and food tour of old Jaipur

I can't recommend this tour with charming Vivek highly enough. As well as being informative about the history, architecture and people of Jaipur, it was clear he wanted the experience to be tailored to the desires of the group and in no way was it a rushed tour, he genuinely seemed to be happy to go with the flow of the group. As for the food stops... Delicious and plentiful. Thankyou Vivek for a memorable evening.

Authentic, intriguing and great value for money!

Highly recommended, great tour

It was a wonderful tour through the market. Fascinating to see how resin is worked with heat, by hand to make bracelets with complicated designs. We saw chai being made and had a taste asking with a delicious samosa. We stopped at more than one sweets shop and learned of the history of the stalls and artisans passing down their crafts through generations. Thank you!!

Cultutal Walk and Food Tasting in Jaipur

Born and raised in Jaipur, Mr Vivek knows the city very well. Also, he is known and well respected by his community so the walking and tasting food tour went very smoothly. We tried local eateries for dinner and desserts and at the same time he showed us iconic locations in the city. My Vivek tours are very highly recommended.

I absolutely loved the tour. The guide was amazing - we tasted the most delicious local snacks and sweets. He also explained the history of Jaipur very well - many offbeat locations like havelis and temples were part of the tour. A very kind and accommodative guide. Highly recommend this tour!

Real insights into pink city Jaipur

Vivek was an absolute gentleman. Felt so comfortable with him on a walking tour around the old city Jaipur. Saw streets and artisans at work that I definitely wouldn’t have seen on my own. Experienced amazing street food and chai. Vivek even found me the Hindi version of Indian constitution I was looking for! Would highly recommend his great value walking tours.

Journey through Yum City!

Overall, the tour and our guide were great, and we would recommend the tour. We tried at least 8 different types of Rajasthani food / snacks, as well as a variety of different types of the same snacks. The tour took about two hours; our guide, Dev, walked us around the Modikhana & Vishveshwarji quarters (chowkries), through several bazars, in Jaipur’s Old City. He was knowledgeable not only about food, vendors, and its cultural / historical relevance, but also about the city & region as well. It was fascinating to learn about the development of the bazars and the history of the craftspeople in the city. Dev was patient, encouraged us to try new foods, helped us speak with locals, and took some great photos. All around a pleasure to learn from. He was also happy to provide additional recommendations. Note: Communication before and after the the tour was done through WhatsApp. Vikram (the main tour guide and organizer) provided clear directions, answered our questions, arrived on time, and was proactive in ensuring we had a great experience. As explained by Vikram, our tour was split into two groups so as not to overwhelm vendors. Dev was happy to accommodate our preferences, so I wouldn’t be bashful about asking to try certain things. We did not have to handle any cash transactions during the tour.

Great guy. Knowledge, humble, helpful, good English. Best guide I have had in India. It’s just one of those persons you love immediately. And don’t forgot to ask him to take you to a paratha restaurant.

Fell in love with Rajasthan

We had an amazing time with our guide in Jaipur. He is a very easy going lovely person and also a good friend. I met him 4 years ago for the first time and now again. The best tour guide! Was patient with our 4 year old and was flexible when we needed to change things. Our tour with Vibek was one of the highlight of our trip to India. He took us to great food spots and also took great photos that we’ll cherish forever.

Culture and food indeed!

This tour is a must if you have seen all the palaces - no, actually, even before! You will learn about true Jaipur today (and in the past). Vivek took us through the small alleys where craftsmen (and women) work on brass, marble, jewelry etc. Jaipur is his home and he seems to love to share (in impeccable English) its history, culture, current affairs and gossip with visitors. (He is even able to explain the many instruments at the Observatory.) As we moved from one food stand to the other, he invited us to so many snacks that we had to stop him eventually. And we laughed a lot! Great value for money. Great experience.

Joy, our guide, exuded enthusiasm and proved to be a true local food connoisseur. Our experience encompassed a delightful array of at least 10 tastings. Each tasting offered generously portioned servings. Joy's explanations of the diverse and delectable dishes were thorough and engaging. Without hesitation, we wholeheartedly recommend this exceptional culinary adventure.

Authentic Tour

Fantastic experience with our guide, Vivek. One of the best walking tours I have ever been on. So authentic and raw, you really feel like a local of Jaipur by the end of the tour. Took us to some amazing street food spots and we got to see how, jewellery, sweets, steel/Cooper and other items were made in the back lane ways of the old city. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Jaipur.

He introduced us to some amazing craftspeople who were happy to give us insight into their work, and also gave us some of the best food I’ve tried in India. Amazing way to experience Jaipur!

Vivek was an amazing tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and shared the history and stories of the city which made us appreciate Jaipur so much more! He is super friendly and made us feel comfortable the whole time. We were able to explore the side streets of the Pink City and got to see all the hard work that goes into making bangles, brass goods, sculptures, etc. We also got to eat local food that we never would have been able to! Glad we did this tour and would recommend it!!

Best tour in Jaipur

This tour was one of the best things we have done in India so far. We really felt like we had a comprehensive and exciting introduction to the city of Jaipur. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, completely adaptable to work at our pace and our interests. We saw hand block printing, marble statue making, rug making, jewellery making and ate and were taught about lots of local street foods. We saw lots of amazing local sights in the pink city and felt completely relaxed and looked after by the tour. We consciously moved quite slowly on the tour, so our tour guide invited back for a second day of touring included so we could see the things we missed. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

This was one of the best tour I have ever done! Vivek is a very good guide who is explaining everything and giving you a very good sense of the culture and the spirit of the city Jaipur. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to get a very good understanding of the culture of Jaipur in a short amount of time!

Amaeing food and stories

Amazing stories and food !!! Our guide knew many things and we tried food we wouldn't otherwise, very varied and delicious.

What an incredible experience! As a tourist it can be worrisome to be in a new city, especially when there is a language barrier. Our tour guide, Vivek, made all of these fears disappear!! We were able to see parts of the city that were off the beaten path without feeling anxious. The food was beyond delicious and no fears of getting “Delhi belly” when eating with a local. I cannot recommend this tour or Vivek enough!

Great cultural tours

We had a fantastic food and cultural tour with Umaid! He has an infectious smile and an it's obvious he loves showing people his city! We tried tea, lassi, dhosa, jalebi, gulab jamun, among other things. Anything we saw that looking good or interesting he was able to explain and help us try it safely and with good quality! It gave us the confidence to be able to buy street food on our own the next few days! Luckily the company has WhatsApp and was responsive. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Best of culture and food

What an amazing tour! The beat I did while I was in Jaipur. So many delicious foods and great information. It's definitely a great mix of food and culture with all the information you get about not only what Jaipur is today, but what happened to get it there. Also the tour guide Raj is super passionate and makes the entire tour very memorable. I definitely left Jaipur with a new friend.

Do not hesitate just book it!

We had an amazing tour with Kumar. He taught us a lot about Old Jaipur ( pink city )and had us taste great street food. He made us feel safe the entire time as well and guided us flawlessly through the Diwali crowds. It was a fun activity before driving back home the next day.
