Block Printing Workshop in Jaipur! (including lunch)

Highly recommend you learn this beautiful Indian tradition

This experience was worth it from beginning to end! Before testing out a few blocks we received excellent instruction. Once we felt comfortable it came time to make our special keepsakes. And the meal was delicious! We also took this class on our final day in Jaipur and had to account for our travels. Everyone was very accommodating. This class will make for a wonderful addition to your time in the Pink City!

Highlight of the trip!

This was the highlight of our trip! Such a fun day learning this gorgeous printing technique from the pros, and in such a pretty, peaceful setting in the city. The lunch served afterwards was delicious, a lovely way to finish off the experience.

Informative and fun workshop close to the old city

This is located close to the city centre which is what we wanted on limited time and lasted approximately 3 hours. Communication after booking was very good. We were greeted warmly into a beautiful building by Avneet and her daughter. This workshop is fun and creative. We watched the colours being made up with a discussion of where they come from, and then had a lot of practice before having a go ourselves with an item to take home. There is also a very nice shop below the workshop worth visiting. Would very much recommend this workshop.

Wonderful

We were able to witness this incredible manual work, which was both culturally enriching and extremely rewarding. By creating our own piece, we can give the artists who create this work even more respect.

Highly recommend this experience. It really gets us deep into the whole process and being in the studio with all the amazing people and materials is like no other activity. The workshop is a great way to really learn and enjoy this beautiful art pf block print and print our own scarf.

During my jaipur tour I especially enjoyed the block print workshop, Tried to make my own block print scarf. The workshop was really wonderful with the process, history and intricacies of block printing. A very enjoyable morning that we will never forget.

Awesome experience

I've booked the workshop for block print, we were 4-5 people with 2 kids. The experience was wonderful I must say, if you are travelling to jaipur this is really a must visit place. They also serve amazing food.

Amazing experience

Absolutely wonderful morning to learn how to block print our own scarves. A very friendly master who helped us create amazing designs with blocks and their staff helped us pick out dresses from the studio downstairs. All round fun tour. I strongly recommend it on your next jaipur visit.

Fulfilling Experience

The experience of printing our own designs was totally absorbing, a little bit nerve wracking but ultimately fulfilling. The session was rounded off by a authentic indian lunch.

Absolute amazing workshop, our kids really enjoyed it. We all prited our own tote bags. Naav is a must visit place in jaipur if you really fond of tradition India art.

We started with the outline of large elephants and simple floral designs and progressed to a second layer of ink of a different color that filled in some of the details. Enjoyed alot at block printing workshop at Naav. They also served an amazing lunch as well after the workshop.

We had a great time and took home some gorgeous scarves and bags. It was interesting to see how our various personalities manifested themselves in our artwork. While in Jaipur, I'd suggest taking this class because it was excellent. They serves best Indian traditional food.

Fun immersive experience!

Amazing opportunity to get some hands on experience in Jaipur’s renowned craft. Prachi and Navodita ensured great hospitality and translation while Master Ji showed us the ropes. We spent many hours trying our hands at different prints until we eventually decided on the best ones for our take-home merchandise - truly a therapeutic and entertaining experience. Everyone was so warm and accommodating. Could not recommend it more!

A must Go!

Block printing workshop at Naav is really amazing. We enjoyed alot and print our scarfs and tote bags with the help of master. Enjoyed alot at workshop followed by an authentic lunch.

The best experience in India <3

The hospitality, the beautiful space, the patience, the excellent detailed workshop where we got to print a 2 meter scarf, a tote bag and an apron with custom colors made before our eyes. Super bonus was the rooftop organic garden used to make us the most delicious lunch after the workshop! In the end still dropped us off at our next destination. The absolute highlight of our time in India so far.

From one day to another I've booked the workshop and Avneet made it possible for us to come. We had a lot of time to try how it works and than make our own prints. It was a real pleasure! And after working, we were served a delicios meal. Thanks Avneet and your great team for everythig!

My daughters and I did...

My daughters and I did the block printing class. We had the best time and left with beautiful scarfs and totes. It was fun to see how our different personalities were expressed in our art. The class was perfect and I’d recommend it while in Jaipur. The traditional lunch was also one of the best meals I’ve had in India!

Visit to Royal City Jaipur is incomplete without dropping by NAAV for a block printing workshop. Here is why you cant afford to miss: 1. Let's start with the store. It is a beautiful amalgamation of traditional architecture with hints of modernity. You can browse the assortment of garments and indulge to your pleasure. 2. The Welcome - Traditional welcome with tilak & thali, sets the mood. 3. Walk up to the terrace and admire the organic produce (surprise ahead!) 4. Block printing is led by an inhouse Master ji who takes you through the entire process. Not only do you print, you also get to take your creations with you as souvenirs! 5. Traditional lunch - remember the organic produce? Well, now seat yourself to a traditional authentic meal served in royal style brass ware. All topped off with traditional sweets and desserts. 6. It's not enough to have this experience without having a brief narrative that sets the context. That's where the hosts excel - Avneet, a 2nd generation fashion entrepreneur takes out time from her busy schedule to mingle with guests and explains the cultural nuances, making this an immersive journey. 7. You walk out with a treasure trove of local experiences having participated in local folklore. Lots of travel tips and hacks are an added bonus!! World Class Experience and Hospitality

OVERVIEW Was looking for a block printing course while on our trip to Jaipur and could not have been happier with our morning spent with Avneet and her team, this was a true highlight of our vacation. Things to spotlight: - Convenience - Hospitality - Detail and Authenticity CONVENIENCE With convenience, I believe this is one of the only workshops held in the city center of Jaipur which made it a no-brainer for us to book and ended up being a perfect 3 hour experience with very little transit time wasted. After arranging a hotel pickup with Avneet, we were taken not more than 10 minutes away to the space, which was in a beautifully renovated building that now houses a boutique and showroom on the first level, and a studio space where their master artisans work on the rooftop level. We arrived shortly after 10am and was back at our hotel by approximately 130pm. HOSPITALITY Without any shadow of doubt, one of the most special parts of this experience was their hospitality - we were made to feel like true houseguests and friends. Upon arrival, we were welcomed wtih a turbin, bindi, and some refreshing mint infused water. The course is described well in the description provided so will skip over this but after we were done, and with a bit of an appetite worked up, we enjoyed an elegant, home-made, Instagram-friendly Rajasthani thali-style lunch in their courtyard - delicious! After lunch and some shopping in the boutique, we were whisked back to the hotel and continued the rest of our day. DETAIL & AUTHENTICITY This workshop really felt like they really had a mission to showcase this particular part of their culture, and from what we understand, is a bit of a dying art that they are naturally keen to preserve. What's more is everything was well thought through, engaging, and had a great flow. The master ji who taught us the block printing techniques has been doing this his whole life, and learning from a true expert artisan was certainly a privilege. Do yourself a favor and book this!

Finest house with own studio!

What a gem! The world's finest house with its own small workshop on the roof. We had to practice first and then print our own cloth bag to take home. The lunch afterwards was homemade and delicious. A memorable experience, can really recommend it!
