Can’t recommend this enough!

This was the perfect experience! All the employees were extremely friendly and welcoming. The waterfalls were beautiful and so nice to swim in. Our guide Pinguino showed us the best spots to jump or slide in. You can tell everyone who works here sincerely does this to share the beauty of their country with others; there was such genuine care and love in the experience! The hike is rather challenging, requiring swimming and assisted rock climbing, but the guide offered a hand and tips for where best to climb and place feet, and the experience is worth it. This was tough on the knees- I have a knee injury from two months ago and could do it, but there were hard moments. On the trip back to the base, we stopped to look at fruit trees and got very close to a toucan. Upon return, they had coffee, tea, fresh juice, and a filling and nourishing meal. Very important to pack: bug spray, dry clothes to change in on return. Recommended clothing: bathing suit under hiking clothes or quick dry athletic clothes, plus high traction water shoes. I wore water-proof hiking boots and they did not work well for this.

Must do

The staff were very kind and hospitable. Our guides helped us along the trail. The hike was a bit extreme at times but they made sure we felt safe and secure. The water falls were beautiful and we had fun jumping off the cliff into the cold refreshing water. After we made it back, they cooked a delicious and authentic lunch.

Beautiful hike-more adventure than we anticipated

Beautiful hike along jungle river to many waterfalls and natural pools. Couple of surprises along the way: 1)we weren’t prepared to hike through the river countless number of crossings…some were knee/waist deep 2)weren’t anticipating hiking up the face of several waterfalls…more treacherous and adventure than what we assumed. The guides were very educational along the hike stopping to share history and/or medicinal benefits of various plants. They were also very helpful in the most dangerous parts of scaling the waterfalls…offering a steady had to grab and pointing out foot placements. It was about a three hour tour and a great workout along the way but we opted out of the last three waterfalls because the family wasn’t comfortable continuing up higher. The hike ended back at the house where we started and one of the guides cooked a traditional Costa Rican lunch for us. The guides were very friendly, shared their pride in the country and natural surroundings, and the food was the best traditional/authentic meal we had during our trip. They also arranged to pick us up from our hotel and return trip as well. We never felt unsafe which allowed us to focus on the natural beauty of CR!

Waterfalls and rain forest

Had an amazing time! Full of great waterfalls and terrain. Definitely got the rain forest experience. The guid was amazing too. After tour made fresh drinks and cooked a meal. Was very pleased.

Family vacation

We booked fairly last minute. This was a FANTASTIC tour and we really did get to see lots of waterfalls. The jungle was gorgeous and the scenery was amazing. Jorge and Mateo led us through the jungle and hike. They were knowledgeable and caring and provided guidance along the way. You will get wet and the hike is not for beginners. Dress appropriately to get wet. They provided fresh fruit and water along the way. At the conclusion of the tour they cooked a homemade meal of chicken, beans and rice, potatoes and carrots. Not a store bought sandwich. This tour is 100% worth your time and money!!

Family fun at 10 waterfalls

Incredible adventure. Ray was an expert driving through the river and jungle and Dustin was the best guide we could have asked for. Our family of four, with two preteens, had an incredible experience and will definitely be back if we ever find ourselves back in the area. This waterfall tour was a highlight of our time in Costa Rica. You will want to make sure that everyone in your group is in shape as its quite the hike. Ps- the fresh fruit, juices and meal were an added bonus. All were delicious and authentically Costa Rica.

Pristine River adventure

Amazing adventure. This is my new must-do for older kids, teens, anyone adventurous. We hiked our way up a river passing through 8 or 10 waterfalls along the way. Each one varies in height and pool size. Note, you are walking up and through a river, swimming across small pools and climbing over rocks. It is super fun and totally worth it but could be hard for some people. It’s worth noting you hike out from your meeting point (if you don’t do the 4x4) and the hike starts at smaller pools which get progressively bigger. If I had younger kids, they would have been happy all day at one of the first pools. You will get wet. Wear sneakers. Leave extra clothes in car. Don’t bother with a towel or much of anything else. Maybe pack a granola bar. We didn’t need sunscreen or repellent as the air was fresh from running water and under trees. Jorge was a great guide. I’ll be coming back again for sure. Oh, I added a massage after our adventure at nearby Nazareth Spa. It is along the same river and it was a perfect compliment to the hike. The spa is located at the very picturesque Hotel Pumillo which looked inviting. Loved the pool overlooking the river and forest.

Such a beautiful experience !

Me, my husband , and my very adventurous 5 year old can not stop talking about this amazing waterfall hike! Everyone was so friendly and we learned so much about wildlife, plants, and culture in Costa Rica! I would recommend this to anyone who loves to sight see and explore

Awesome experience

This was a great experience! We learned alot and had a personalized experience! Due to the rain we had to hike it but it was worth burning the extra calories! Only recommendation IF you have to hike make sure you have decent soled shoes or the rocks might take you out 😂

This excursion was an absolutely INCREDIBLE ADVENTURE. Ray & Jorge were the nicest and kindest tour guides we’ve met in Costa Rica. When you book this tour be ready to expect a once in a lifetime experience. Ray will drive you on a roller coaster like off roading adventure through creek beds and rivers, through the tress and the jungle to the start of your hike. Jorge will then escort you through the jungle, up and down the jungle hills over and under trees. He will open up your perspective to the beautiful nature they live with here. Jorge explained his philosophy on life and the history of Jaco all while you hike up this mountain stopping along the way and playing in waterfalls. As you and your friends enjoy the scenery, and the waterfalls, Jorge is taking beautiful candid pictures of your experience allowing you to enjoy the moment without distraction. He will share a meal with you at your halfway point as he tells you stories of their life there. As you hike the trails Jorge will explain the native wildlife and plant life. Explaining what certain animals, insects and plants are used for in their indigenous culture as well as in mainstream culture. This adventure was an absolute GEM in Jaco and if you are reading this you MUST do it. These people are some of the kindest individuals ever and embody the meaning of “Pura Vida”, they live one with nature, protecting and advocating for the land. Once you are finished you will feel privileged to have met them and shared this beautiful place with them.

Lots of fun

The tour guides were the best. Kind of misleading because you really need to be in shape for this. If you don't like climbing, this isn't for you. Otherwise we had a blast.

Great Tour

Our guides were extremely nice and helpful. We especially enjoyed the information about the local fauna they gave us along the way! The hike was a little bit more difficult than we expected but they helped us each step of the way!

Amazing tour with extremely friendly guide!!!!

We had a truly wonderful time!!!!! We saw beautiful waterfalls, fauna, and even a non-venomous snake!!! We had fun swimming in the natural spring-fed pools, and the weather was perfect!!! Take swimsuit, good shoes, and camera.

Having done dozens of tours all over the world, this was by far the best one we have ever done.

We’ve done tours all over the world, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, the United States, the Caribbean , Mexico, and all over Europe and this is hands-down the best tour we have ever done. It’s for small groups, there were only four of us on the tour plus the guide. You arrive at their little office and they have hot tea and coffee and snacks waiting on you. Then they drive you upstream through a creek line jungle, and I mean right in the water of the creek to the starting point for the hike. After about 10 minutes of hiking in and out of the creek, the trail heads uphill a bit and in about 10 minutes, you reached the first of about 10 waterfalls you’ll see on the tour. You only get the swim in about six or seven of them, but you will get to see, at least 20. And you are hiking through a gorgeous thick forest of jungle with trees towering well over 100 feet over your head. It looks like something right out of a movie. It reminds me exactly of the jungle that Arnold Schwarzenegger and his men hike through in the First predator movie. The water temperature in every pool at the base of the Falls is perfect and nearly crystal clear. You can swim right up to the base of the falls for a great swim time after time after time. And each waterfall gets better and better and better and bigger and bigger and bigger as you venture up through the canyon hiking through Trails cut right through the jungle and then at times you’re hiking right up through the waterfalls themselves. About halfway up, the guide served us fresh cut pineapples at the base of a waterfall And he told us all about the trees And we even saw a couple of the really colorful Poisonous frogs that live in the canyon. If we had an extra day on our trip, we would’ve booked it again for the very next day. My big tip would be to simply wear athletic shoes. My wife had on tennis shoes and they worked great as did the guide. The other three of us were wearing Tevas and Keens and we kept getting rocks in our shoes. When the tour was over, they had fresh cut mango and starfruit that the guy picked from his backyard, laid out for us. This tour is the real deal. You will not be disappointed.

Exceeds expectations

Andres gave us the time of our lives and the most beautiful hiking and waterfall experience ever. He made climbing a mountain easy and fun! Do this tour!

So worth it!

I would recommend this 100 times! This experience does require a little athleticism. Andreas and Jorge were both so accommodating, amazing and knowledgable. Do not second guess on this one, just book it and I promise you won’t regret it! My hubby and I have yet to stop talking about it. Pura Vida!!

Amazing Adventure

What an amazing excursion! The waterfalls were beautiful and it was so peaceful being in the gorgeous rain forest. But, the guides are who make this trip truly exceptional. Coco went out of his way to provide us the best experience possible. He shared so many interesting facts along the way and wanted to make sure we had the best time. Safety was his priority and he helped us so much! We would highly recommend this tour, especially for adventure lovers!

We had a great time and we saw 10 beautiful waterfalls and got to swim in a few and we got some pineapple it was so good and fresh and guide was really informative

Extreme waterfall hiking experience

Absolutely the best waterfall tour extreme hiking , great guides, an amazing experience, wear some tough tennis shoes lots of climbing , water, and hiking, bring the minimum as you will need both hands . Beautiful swimming holes and amazing waterfalls lots of vertical climbing, very challenging worth every step.

Must do!!!

Best little adventure u could ask for. Great people running it also. Fun for the adventous minded people and younger kids also.

Beautiful but risky - presumably safer during dry season.

While the hike and host were both amazing overall, there were some truly dangerous moments along the trails. We were there toward the beginning of rainy season, and at one point there was a razor and barbed wire fence as the only thing separating us from a steep cliff. The rationale provided was to indicate that the fenced off area was private property. That seems like a ridiculous reason to give because a sign reading "private property/propriete privado" or whatever would do just as well. Be sure to bring the grippiest shoes you have, since you'll be hiking up slippery rocks that have recently been quite wet. I'd been hiking 4 - 6 miles per day for the month immediately preceding this outing, and my new Keen closed toe watershoes were insufficient for traction in this envrionment. The waterfalls were beautiful but not worth the risk - we turned back after the 3rd or 4th one when it became clear the hiking would become even more challenging. Adventurous for sure, not for the faint of heart. For the record, I'm 48 and my significant other is 51.

Excellent tour, I recommend it for those visiting Jaco beach area. You can also rent a cabin in the Finca de Solis.

Great tour

We booked the afternoon tour, got picked up and dropped off. It included fresh meal even though it was late afternoon. If you have any knee issues you might only get so far. We only were able to complete 8/10. The guide was great, he wasn't forcing anything, suggested different refreshing pools to cool off before continuing the hike. They have their own access to the waterfalls so it's actually nice that it's not packed w/ other groups. I highly suggest this tour and this group.

Incredible and gorgeous remote hike

Could not ask for a more amazing experience. Wear good shoes for hiking and be prepared for some elevation. We saw the most incredible sites, learned about the local trees, birds and animals. So private and secluded. hiked and swam in some gorgeous waterfalls and swimming holes. One of the best times in Costa Rica.

Adventurous waterfall hike with delicious food and views

It was amazing. They were charismatic, funny, and very welcoming. They carried our friend down the hike because she was not wearing the correct shoes, such amazing hospitality 10/10. They also provided fresh pineapple and cold water on the hike. The food after the hike was phenomenal, the best food I had while in Costa Rica. Would 100% book with them again.

Such great tour guides! Took great photos and the food at the end was phenomenal! Can't explain how pretty the views were- 10/10 would recommend! Guides were so helpful and patient with our big group.

Personalized and enjoyable

Waterfalls, bridges, climbing, and nature. Multiple guides helped personalize the tours. For example I wanted to take a more extreme route climbing up the waterfall while the rest of the group took the main route. Guides split up and customized the trip on the spot. Very cool. They were very knowledgeable in foraging and the surrounding environment as they grew up there. Guides also took photos for us and supplies water proof bags for our belongings.

Jorge was a wonderful guide. Water was cool and refreshing! Fun (at times a bit challenging) hike. Word of advice - be sure to bring hiking sandals.

Amazing Waterfalls Hike

The 10 Waterfalls excursion by Go Wild was absolutely wonderful! Ray offered to pick us up from our accommodation and take us out to their site. Adrian was our guide; he and Ray run things together. We drove a short ways up a semi-dry riverbed and then started a challenging but beautiful hike to a series of waterfalls. The scenery was fantastic and Adrian was a great guide; very knowledgeable and so gracious. He and his family and kids live in the area. The hike was challenging; a decent level of fitness is needed, but not over the top. The final waterfall and pool was worth the hike, We swam and had a great visit with Adrian. He is such a decent friendly man. We then hiked back to the pickup spot and Ray drove us back to the office and then into Jaco after some fresh fruit was served. One of the best excursions we have done in our many vacations!

We had an amazing time on this tour! Adrian is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This is a must-see tour. We made the best family memories. The icing on the cake was the delicious meal we had at Roberto's, we will be going back for dinner before we leave!

We had an amazing time on our waterfall tour. It was such a wonderful experience. We got so many awesome pictures and swimming in the falls was so much fun. Be prepared to hike and get very wet but worth it! We ended up booking a monkey experience as well and it was awesome! Jorge is an amazing guide and very passionate about what he does. Loved it!!!!

Amazing adventure, best tour I’ve done

A really great tour, a true Costa Rican adventure! Everything felt very local, Jorge and his team were all so enthusiastic and helpful. A great experience from start to finish, from a fun off road ride into the jungle to fresh fruit and a delicious local lunch after. The hike itself was really fun, although not long does involve some climbing so you do need to be fairly active. Would highly recommend, definitely worth it!

Hike of a Lifetime!

My sister and I had such a wonderful time exploring the 10 waterfalls! Our tour guide was super fun, informative and kept safety in mind throughout the hike. The staff gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend proper hiking shoes/sandals. The last quarter of the hike can be a bit challenging, but fun nonetheless. The fruit provided was super refreshing after our long journey. The waterfalls were absolutely stunning!

An incredible experience!

Incredible way to see the Costa Rican Rain Forest and Waterfalls. We loved being able to swim, climb, and hike our way through this amazing experience, and we learned so much about the area and culture. The fresh starfruit and pineapple were a wonderful bonus!

Breathtaking! If you’re a hiker and love waterfalls, you have to do this tour! Even if you’re not, you have to do this tour! The waterfalls are spectacular! The company is family run, super kind and accommodating.

Adventous waterfall hike and delicious lunch

We highly recommend this adventurous tour! When we booked we didn't realize it is a private tour. It was only my husband and me which was great and very personalized. The tour guides were super friendly & explain everything about the area from the Costa Rican culture & lifestyle to the plants and wildlife. It started in a 4x4 driving up the stream. Then we hiked up the mountain seeing a variety of waterfalls along the trail. The rain forest is beautiful and scenic. Adrienne, our guide, was very patient with us, coaching us on where to step and helping us along. The hike was more strenuous than we expected but Adrienne was flexible in heading back when we were ready. After we returned he walked us to his neighbors house who had a home restaurant. The lunch was the best food we have had so far in Costa Rica. We felt very comfortable with everyone we met. We even booked a monkey tour with them for tomorrow and plan to eat lunch at the same place!

Amazing Hike experience

This was one of the most fun experiences we had in Costa rica. It was a beautiful and challenging hike with amazing waterfalls. there is a short offroad drive to the trail head, and then you hike through creeks and natural water pools and amazing views. The hike is not easy, young children or elderly may find it hard. I think this hike should be rated between moderate to hard. Jorge Adrian was amazingly nice and helpful and caring. nice fruit and water provided during the hike. we recommend choosing the option that includes lunch. lunch is very nice and provided by a local family.
