Jaco Beach Costa Rica Horseback Riding

Well organised, and nice...

Well organised, and nice small tour which goes through some forest - where you can spot some wildlife if you are lucky (sloth, birds, monkeys, etc.) - and "ends" at the beach (actually, break time at the beach before coming back to pick up point). The horses are very well trained and easy to ride/direct, full experience is pretty relax.

Wonderful experience

Great time riding these friendly horses. The guides we worked with were helpful and kept us safe. Explained everything and took us through a leisurely stroll through a beautiful forest to a great beach. Pointed.out lots of wildlife on the way..Toucans and Monkeys were seen several times. The horses were friendly and walked at a comfortable pace.....no running. Would recommend this tour..great for beginners and no horse riding experience necessary.

Friendly tour leader and wasn't just up and down beach like was worried about. kids loved it. Paid for photos and got some great shots

Family Fun

The horses and guides were wonderful. We were able to do a lot with the horses because they didn’t walk in a straight line and follow each other. The beach was amazing. Highlight of the trip .

Girls Trip perfection!

Absolutely amazing experience! Saw monkeys and sloths. Crossed the river on horseback and went to a private beach. Great tour guide! Highly recommend

10/10 so fun and peaceful!

We had an amazing time. Our guide, Eliud, was so nice and friendly and explained a lot about the history of Jaco and the different animals and nature we saw along the way. The horses were beautiful and the entire experience was so calming and serene. Would 100% book with him again.

Fantastic Horse Ride

One of my favorite things I did on my trip! The horses are incredibly well trained, so even beginners will feel comfortable. Along the way to the beach you see wildlife, plants, and our tour guide and photographer were helpful and friendly. We saw a sloth!! Plenty of photos taken and lasting memories.

Amazing time with the horseeeys and safe to do!

I rated it 5 star because everything was great except that our guide ddnt know how to take good angled photos. I mean, were on a horse so expect not to have the best ones. He's an amazing toud guide and really good in making sure your safe on your horse. However, Eliud Jimenez was very informative and really tries his best to speak English. The horses where fantastic! We had Mocha and Cinnamon! Mocha was my horse and I feel like he's my spirit animal now. Haha. But Cinammon, my friend's horse unfortunately kept snacking on the way to the beach haha and scared my friend a lil bit. We of course were very kind to the horses. Ddnt want to kick them. Lol

Great experience! The horses are well trained. We are beginners and easily picked up how to ride the horses based on the instructions provided to us at the beginning. We recommend this tour 100%!!!

Fun and Beautiful Views- Favorite Jaco Activity

Amazing tour, they will take you out rain or shine. If you are visiting in wet or dry season, highly recommend this tour. The guides are friendly and informative, the horses are very well behaved (great for beginners who have never rode a horse) and the tour is beautiful regardless of the weather. It’s the perfect amount of time as well, around 1.5-2 hours. Great value for money

Great guide, great horses. Our family of four including children had a great time. The photos were excellent and saw lots of wildlife.

I have horses back home...

I have horses back home but really wanted to ride on the beach. This tour did not disappoint. I picked the early morning ride to beat the heat and it was just me and Elliot the Guide. He was so informational! We cantered a few times and it was dream come true for a horse lover

We had a great time. I loved my horse Cigarette!! Our tour guide was amazing as well he gave us some good information about the area. I highly recommend people to visit.

This place is awful. Don't go.

Within a few minutes of walking to the beach, the horse tour guide offered me "weed, cocaine, ketomine" and I don't know what else. I also got robbed a day later. Would not recommend this destination.

Absolutely amazing I will always remember this

Our guide Eliud was amazing. He went above and beyond, making sure that we saw all that we could see. We saw red macaw, sloth, Among many other wild creatures. He also took the time to explain to us many different indigenous plants also giving us a very detailed history of the area. On top of that, he took some amazing photos for us. He was extremely pleasant Leaving us with memories that will last a lifetime I would highly recommend.

Beautiful ride through forest and along beach.

Our guide, Eliud was wonderful. He pointed out places, trees, plants and animal sounds for us. He even found sloths high in the trees for pictures. He took a lot of pictures and videos for us too. Perfect way to end our trip to Costa Rica.

Horse riding joy

The horse riding was fantastic, I had a lovely tour guide who spoke English so was very helpful. The beach was beautiful to ride on, I’m very happy and would recommend anyone to give this tour a go! The horses are very calm, and well cared for.

Fun in the rain!

It was fun even though it rained the whole time. It was a great adventure and memory. The horses were responsive and would even trot. 👍

When I went horse backing riding with the kind employees here they showed us all around the beach and forest making us feel at home and showing us all about the area I would recommend this for anyone!!!

Beautiful Beach Ride

Wonderful guide, steady and healthy, well-kept horses, beautiful remote trails, and a gorgeous ride on the beach. We saw sloths, monkeys, and eagles, along with some forest and beach terrain. It was everything I wanted my ride on the beach to be, and more. Thank you so much!

Eliud was the best

Eliud went above and beyond to make our horseback riding experience, positive and enjoyable! Even with pouring rain, he kept us smiling and laughing!

Did this tour with my wife and three teens. Super happy we went with this your group. The horses were the best we have ever had on a tour. They were very easy, responsive, and cared for. Eliot was a WONDERFUL guide! The tour was a good length, and went through a variety of landscapes. Top notch company.

Very great experience...

Very great experience getting to ride horses for the first time. The instructors were very helpful and welcoming to new riders. We were also able to get great views and see other wildlife like monkeys, sloths and iguanas.

Had an amazing time!

My family and I had an amazing time riding horses. Our guide was very helpful, made sure everyone was comfortable, and taught us about the region and plants we saw. When we made it to the beach, he found 2 sloths for us!!! My oldest daughter amd another guest, were able to take their horses and galloped down the beach together

Great experience. The horses were super friendly and clean. Location was easy to find. Our guide was really nice and shared local information and knowledge with us. He pointed out monkeys and sloths. We went to the beach ans took picture. We couldn’t cross the River cause it was raining. Had a great time in Costa Rica ❤️

Fun & easy ride to Jaco Beach

My husband & I took the 2hour beach ride with our guide Eliud. Loved how easy our two horses, Mocha & Freddy were. Eliud did a great job considering the other couple on the tour had no riding experience. The views through the jungle and beach were beautiful. Eliud pointed out all the names of the vegetation we came across & spotted a few sloths by the beach.

Once in a Lifetime Experience

Simply amazing! Well organized and the tour guides were fantastic. We were able to see so much of nature and beautiful scenery. As an experienced rider, I can say it was the best horseback riding tour I have ever done. It was our 15-year old’s first time riding a horse and he felt incredibly safe, confident and had fun. Highly recommend this once of a lifetime experience!

SO much fun

This was the best horseback riding excursion I’ve ever been on! We saw a few monkeys and a sloth on the way to the beach. Our tour guide was Elliot & he did an amazing job making sure that every member of our party was having a good time.

Love Jaco Love Coco

From the rice fields, to learning about the local greenery and animals, to seeing monkeys, sloths, and other wildlife it was epic. Coco was a class act as well as his partner did not get his name. Beach/sunset was great!

Early morning ride

What a unique experience! Highly recommend going early in the morning this time of the year (June). We saw a sloth and ate fruit from the trees on our way to the beach. The horses were very friendly…and so was our guide (haha)!

Favorite experience in Jaco

This was my favorite activity while visiting Costa Rica. We went from the ranch then through some forest and saw monkeys and ate fresh mango from a tree. We made our way to the water and words cannot describe it. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and our horses were so patient and calm. Shoutout to my horse, Cookie & our guide, Eliud for such a wonderful experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience. They were great with everyone present, including my 6 year old daughter. We had a great time, saw amazing things, learned a ton about the area and wild life and felt safe doing so!!

Highlight of our trip

Definitely the highlight of our trip ! We chose the 4 pm time & it was awesome because the sun was setting as we were riding on the beach ! We saw some sloths and monkeys & even got to try fresh mangos and star fruit from the trees ! Our guide also recommended a great local restaurant after! I highly recommend this tour !!

An amazing tour

The tour was amazing! The horses were great, calm, and well-kept. Eliot, the guide, was very nice, and we even saw monkeys. The views during the ride were breathtaking.

Beach Horse Adventure with CoCo

This excursion was so fun and so awesome. The ride was relatively easy and went across diverse types of land, we went through rice fields, through a mangoe grove, and spent half the ride on the beach. The guides were knowledgeable and were able to point out monkeys on the ride, we ate fresh mangoes horseback, and they took great pictures of our group on the beach. I highly recommend working with this group, especially CoCo as the guide. We were the last group of the day, so the horses were noticably exhausted, but they seemed well-maintained

Great time riding on the beach

We had the best experience doing the sunset ride. Eliud was our guide, he was so nice and took pictures and video of the whole ride. The trail was smooth and the horses were healthy and gentle. We would highly recommend!!

Great Horseback Riding Tour!

Great horseback riding experience. My wife was a little worried riding a horse for the first time but our guide Mauriel made her feel comfortable. Mauriel was also extremely knowledegable about horses and all animals. He was a great guide as his knowledge went beyond the animals and ttaught us about the nature in Costa Rica. I would recommend the tour to anyone, especially for the price. It's well worth it and a great way to explore the Jaco Beach area.

Beach Horseback ride

We thought the entire ride was on the beach - but that was just the last 1/2 od the ride. It was still an excellent ride - and I would recommend it.

Great even for beginners

We loved riding the horses. I hadn’t been on a horse since falling off one when I was 17. I was a little nervous at first but my goodness were these horses so gentle. Awesome experience. Would love to do it again
