Full Day Fun Pass Jaco Jungle Adventure Five in One with Lunch (7 Hours)

Just Ok - Didn't Deliver as Expected

We've been to Costa Rica twice and done many different excursions. If you want to squeeze a lot of activities into one day, then this adventure is a cost effective way to do that. I asked a lot of questions ahead of time via email, and the company was quick and responsive to all my questions. They communicated that they prided themselves on small groups and personal attention. However, once we got closer to the excursion date, the delivery was not quite up to our expectations. 1. Our family of 4 started with another family of 4 for a total of 8 people which was fine. While the guides were fine, they did not do a great job of explaining procedures and both families asked a lot of clarification questions. This was especially the case with the ATV guide. Compared to other excursions, English for this group of guides was not particularly strong. 2. We started with an hour of horseback riding which was fine. But it was hot and muggy after that hour and we weren't offered any water until later in the afternoon. 3. Lunch was disappointing. First we gave our lunch orders twice, first via text the day before the excursion and again at check-in. Somehow they got our orders wrong, but we went with it anyway. This is a 6-7 hour day and the protein portions (fish or chicken) were ridiculously tiny (especially compared to meals that we received in other excursions). 4. The text we received the day before stated that the guides would have dry bags for phones, etc. They did not. We were offered to put our valuables in rental "lockers" that only half locked (top locked, but bottom of door did not and you could put your hand in and pull things out if you really wanted to). The ranch is pretty isolated so I don't think theft is an issue, but it didn't leave a great impression. 5. My biggest issue with the excursion was the afternoon, when our group of 8 was combined with another large family for a total of 17 people for waterfall rappelling. Because the group was so large, they ran two ropes down the waterfall at the same time. This seemed especially dangerous when you had folks going down at very different speeds and many were unsteady so knocking into another person was a definite possibility.  There were two many people rappelling at the a time for the guides to be keeping a proper eye on everyone. 6. On the website, the 5 in 1 adventure states that horseback riding, ATV, waterfall rappelling, zip line and bird watching are included. There is no separate bird watching activity. Yes, we saw some birds on the other activities, but we didn't get much explanation on any of the birds or animals that we saw like I would expect a guide to communicate. In trying to be fair, other positives from the day were that the ATV guide stopped and used our cameras to take video of folks driving the ATVs, and the zipline is designed with an automated breaking system so the rider does not have to worry about breaking. In summary, the day went ok, but there are things that need to be improved and I would not book with this company again because I don't think the safety is where it should be.

Fantastic adventure in Costa Rica!

We had the best day and our tour guides we super awesome! I highly recommend this adventure in Costa Rica. Definitely worth the cost. The 6 zip lines thru the rainforest were amazing and repelling thru the water fall was a great challenge. Totally incredible day!!

Five in one adventure

So amazing! We did it all, horseback riding, ATV, Zip line, water fall propelling. All of the guides were great. It was a great experience.

Favorite adventure day!

This was my favorite day of our whole week in Costa Rica. I still cannot believe how much we were able to do for such a reasonable package price plus hotel pick up and a delicious local lunch. If you stay in the Jaco area I cannot recommend this day activity enough! Also the guys are wonderful - they took care of us and made this day unforgettable.

The entire trip was amazing I loved the horseback riding, the atv zip lining and the water fall the gmfood was delicious and the guides where super amazing

An incredible day!

For us the rappelling was challenging as 62 and 73 year olds but very satisfying to accomplish the feat. Zip lining was thrilling and exciting. It was an incredibly fun day and our guides were the best, ensuring our safety all the way.

Skils level needed for this excursion is Intermediate to Advanced. It was dangerous for me. Great experience

Great day adventure

Great time and staff, we were lucky for beautiful weather. Not recommended for older people unless they in shape.

Best value for your day

Amazing fun filled day! The guides were all very helpful and kind and we will recommend this to to everyone! There was even a family with kids ages 7-9 that were able to compete all the activities too! Side note - the ATV group is separate from the Ocean Park Ranch group (horse ride, repelling, and zip line). They are an outside group that comes in to the farm for the ATV tour only. Be sure to tip them separately. Costa Rica prides themselves in their great service so always be sure to tip at least 10% if not 20%.

Such a fun day!!

Andreas & Luis were amazing! We laughed and had so much fun. ATVs were crazy but we felt safe the whole time. One of the zip lines lasted 70 seconds- epic!! Would definitely recommend 🇨🇷🇨🇷

Worth Every Penny

Andres and Adrian were AWESOME guides! Worth every penny! Not to mention our Horses Thunder and Pinto and so much personality it was unreal 😂

Adventure filled day. Tour guides know what they are doing.

My family of five had the adventure of a lifetime. The three tour guides were truly amazing, despite looking young….they knew what they were doing and reassured me and made me feel safe. Please remember to tip them as well as the separate atv guys. You know it’s a great time when the GoPro breaks! We rappelled down a beautiful waterfall, zip lined through the jungle, drove atvs through horse fields, mud puddles, and rivers! Bring your waterproof bag and neck gaiter. There is an amazing hunting dog, Punky. He waits eagerly to start the tour with you, he will hunt racoons, lizards and everything in between….and he likes the lunch chicken that’s provided…please share with him :). Overall, my teens and guys loved the day and will be talking about it for a while. I still can’t believe I did the things I did!

I always wanted to zip...

I always wanted to zip line in Costa Rica and finally did it. Rappel down the waterfall was cool also. That was a first. ATV’s are always cool. So was the horse back riding.

The guides Carlos, Luis, and Ricardo made the trip memorable with their enthusiasm and energy! Especially at points at the end when my energy and courage were both flagging. We were entirely safe and comfortable in their hands.

Once in a lifetime

Karlos was such an amazing guide! This whole experience was truly once in a lifetime. Dress in clothes you don’t care about, stay hydrated, eat well before you come. And come to have fun and try new things! You will not regret this, we are going back!

Super cool

Probably the coolest all around tour package I’ve ever been apart of. When they say 7 hours, they really mean 7 hours. Beautiful experience that my wife and I truly enjoyed.

Exciting but Stressful

We pushed our excursion back one day due to scheduling issues. The day before the new scheduled date we got a message asking to move our time up due to possible weather. We basically were given no choice so we had to get on the road very early to make it work because we were staying out of town. After showing up we realized this group was pretty big and we would see this affect our fun. The waterfall rappelling was first and we literally hiked 20 minutes and without hesitation the first two began rappelling. Most of us were ok but it seemed like a lot going on at once and that did look to affect overall safety. Next was zip lining and we were off on another hike of 15-25 minutes. Immediately followed by the first person jumping up and going. Just seemed rushed due to our group size. Once we got to each platform, we were left waiting at tree level with 4-7 others while the guides tried to hurry everyone through. Several people left the zip lines after just three platforms due to these issues. Once back to the camp, my group decided enough was enough and chose to leave, giving up on ATVs and horseback. There was no water made available until just after zip lining. And no bathrooms. I know it’s a jungle excursion but the description should say this due to all the different age groups participating. Overall, the group size was too big and my group will probably not do this excursion again!

10/10 Experience - Definitely WORTH IT!

This was the best excursion we did while in Jaco. The tour guides were AMAZING and so much fun, you can tell they really enjoy what they do. We stayed less than 5 minutes from the Park so we didn't have any issues with transportation. There is ALOT of walking/hiking to the waterfall and zip-lines, so I would highly suggest wearing clothes and shoes that are comfortable. The views from the zip-lines are breathtaking, so all the walking it totally worth it. The horseback riding is very relaxing and a great time to soak in the beautiful nature around you. The lunch provided was delicious, our whole group thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was hot, fresh, and very nourishing. - The ATVS we're led by a different group, and though it was fun, the tour guides weren't as engaging as the 1st tour guides. But, all in all we had a great time! If you do plan to do all the adventures, be prepared to get dirty and have ALOT of fun! It's definitely worth the money.

This is my second time...

This is my second time booking this tour & The activities are out of this world!! However, this time around , I was very disappointed with the transportation pickup. They sent a mini car for a group of 4 adults + the driver (not a problem, we would make it work with the strangers ). Pick up time was 8:50, the other passengers did not come into the vehicle until 9:25 and the company refused to leave them, which was not fair to us, because we was on time

Great all in one experience!

This was a great all in one experience. The tour guides were very nice and made sure that my entire family was safe during each event. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a great time!

Unforgettable Jungle Experince!!

They showed us a great time & also made us very comfortable through each new adventure. A memorable experience!

Hey there! I just had to share about this fantastic adventure I went on with my friends. It was seriously unforgettable! The guides were such incredible people and added to the whole experience. The food was delicious! The views from the ziplines were breathtaking and the horses were so sweet. We stopped at a mango tree and tasted the fresh fruit. Just a heads up: rappeling down the waterfall can be a bit slick, so wear shoes with good traction. Also, wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty. During our ATV tour, it started to rain, but honestly, it only made things more fun when we zoomed through the mud! I promise this adventure is worth every penny. I wouldn't change a thing about this experience.

Everything is awesome! From the tour guides, lunch, activities!! It was a blast to hang out on the ranch the entire day!! The views are amazing! They take safety very seriously but allow you to have fun! This Jungle didn’t disappoint!!! It’s not so commercialized. Gives you the authentic Costa Rican, Pura Vida Vibes 🤙🏻

It was such a fun and adventurous experience

It was such a fun and adventurous experience. The tour staff communicated very easily and were very helpful throughout the different adventures. The only downfall is that another big group joined us so we had to wait a long time to do our turn of waterfall Ring and zip line since we had to wait for the whole group to go and these two things are one person at a time. But other than that, it was a great experience, very fun, and relaxed in a way

My friends and I had so much fun. You will definitely get dirty and wet with the atv’s. Waterfall rappelling you will also get wet and it’s a hike to get to the waterfall and the last 2 zip lines. Zip lining was so much fun Beautiful views. Lunch was delicious. The guys were so nice and fun! Would definitely recommend!

Fun and exciting

Everything was great and fun. Personable and knowledgeable guides with great personalities. We felt the ATV guides could’ve been more helpful in showing newbies how to ride and use the brakes. More water needed to be provided as you couldn’t really bring your own

Definitely would do it again. I had a great time with my family and the group I was in. The people that work there were awesome. Just and overall good experience. I would definitely say bring a lot of water.

Full Day of Adventure

First, we were surprised to be picked up in 2 small cars for 6 people. We assumed we would be picked up in a bus or van like most tours. The drivers did not speak English. This all was not a problem just a surprise and something to be aware of. All of the activities were great. It was a very full day and we left exhausted and fulfilled with a lot of adventure. The lunch was a typical Casado and was good. One more thing that we felt really bad for some other guests about...They only booked ziplining and not rappelling. These activities are in the same place and they made them wait for 1-2 hours watching us rapel before we all did the ziplining. They were not prepared for this. So the advice would be if you are ziplining just do rappelling too or be prepared to wait and watch.

Good excursion with a couple caveats

Great full day tour with just a few things that kept it from being 5 stars. We did Zipline, waterfall repelling, horseback riding and the ATv’s. The first suggestion which was discussed with everyone in the group was there needed to be water offered after each activity. The kids especially but the adults too were dying in 90° heat after hiking up for the waterfall and doing all the ziplines and hiking up for some of the zipline too. They keep your bags on the trailer so any water you brought is gone as well so by the time we started ziplining the conversations became more about water then the zipline. All of the activities were fun but we had gotten to the atv last which was the one my 11 almost 12yr old son was most excited about. He has been driving motorized everything since he was 5. We were told he was not allowed to take his own and I would have to ride double with him. That’s fine, is what it is I told him. Till we got on and we see the girl who’s 10yrs old that was in our group is on her own. I spent the entire atv trying to hold on to anything since I was letting my son control everything as I was about to be thrown off the back of the atv everytime we started going. My back was absolutely destroyed, everytime I would grab something to hold on I could feel the muscles in my back going nuts since I had to hold on to the small wrack behind me. My son was really upset, I was upset and the atv guide didn’t seem to care less. The staff was good but the business needs to supply water or let you bring your own and you can’t tell one kid who’s rode before all the time that he’s too young and then let the kid who’s younger and never rode one before that she can have her own.

Definitely one of my top three favorites trips and I have been around the world. The entire team is amazing, but Jeffrey and Jesus made the day for me!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Their entire team is very patient and did not rush the group. We started out repelling down the waterfall, then moved to the zip lines, took a break for a delicious lunch, rode the ATV’s (don’t try to drive and record - my bad), and then rode the horses. Everything went perfectly. The whole day was marvelous. They explained everything and made it fun. Thank you all so much.

Never repelled, ATV or zip lined but what a wow!, I cannot over emphasize how much fun it was and how professional everyone was. They their business and they know their safety. All this mixed with friendliness, fun banter and FUN!

Awesome Experience!!
