Day Tour to Playa Fantasia on Sealounge Catamaran

Fantastic Cruise and Beach day!

We had such a great day in the Sealounge Catamaran tour! The catamaran is very nice and the crew is extremely friendly and attentive. The cruise out to the beach was beautiful and the secluded beach is amazing. Also, the lunch they grilled for us at the beach was one of the best meals we had on our trip! I highly recommend this trip if you’re looking for a great half day beach and boat tour!

Amazing food!! Relaxing day!! Go!!

Great day!! We relaxed on the beautiful beach and saw monkeys. The lunch that was prepared was incredible!! It was definitely one of the best meals we had on our trip!!

Would recommend and do again!

Fantastic food and drinks! We saw some beautiful fish snorkeling even though it had rained the day before. Had fun on the beach throwing the football. The boat ride and staff were great! Watch out for jellyfish if you decide to swim in the ocean and snorkel, luckily the sting goes away eventually!

What a great day

What a great day we had from the moment we stepped into the catamaran, full day of fun on the beach, awesome lunch, nice cocktails, banana boat, and I think we may have kicked their butt in a little volleyball. Perfect way to spend the day, the guys did a great job making sure all 13 of us had fun.

Spectacular Sealounge experience

An absolutely great day! The crew was welcoming and fun. The small group on the private beach made it very special. Fantastic scenery, beautiful water, and flips off the boat’s roof. The lunch meal was one of the best we’ve had on our trip.

Great Catamaran tour to private island- Playa Fantasia

An amazing tour! This is the perfect day trip! A great catamaran tour to their private island - Playa Fantasia. It’s a relaxing and fun day! The crew does a great barbecue lunch. What I also like is the open bar, but mostly that they do NOT limit to margaritas & rum punch like other tours. It’s a family friend tOUR, but the bar selection includes vodka, rum, pina coladas, beer, etc. When the boat anchors, there is an opportunity to swim and for the daring, to jump from the roof Captain Randall is the owner ( I like local owned). He is very safety conscious, while proving a great & memorable excursion. Also, the capacity is limited so you are not cramped onto a boat and you have the island to yourself! I’ve done this trip 4 times and enjoy it every time. I highly recommend.

The crew were so attentive! Great drinks Food was amazing. Beautiful boat ride with a semi private visit to a beautiful beach. Great for tweens/teens.

Best day in Costa Rica

Randall and the rest of the crew were amazingly friendly and I loved the whole day from start to finish. I will definitely be booking again when I return to Costa Rica in the future. Thank you again Randall for an amazing day.

The ultimate Costa Rican experience!

We had an amazing day on the ocean and a beautiful private beach. It was a wonderful experience seeing all that a Costa Rican island could offer with its natural setting and all kinds of wildlife. We swam in the Pacific and could snorkel, kayak, paddleboard, or just chill on the beach. We had a wonderful authentic Costan Rican lunch that the crew cooked for us on the island. Plenty of beer and tropical drinks were available during the entire day. Captain Randall and his crew were fantastic!

Fun and relaxing, would go again in a heartbeat

We loved everything about this excursion. The pickup and drop off at our hotel was smooth, the staff had everything planned and communicated very well. The water was beautiful and Playa Fantasia was amazing. Our kids rode on the banana boat and tested out paddle boarding. The lunch was delicious and the bartender was very attentive. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful outing!

What a fantastic day! We had 10 people on our boat. It was like a private tour. The drinks were great and the food was phenomenal. The best part of the trip was the service. We were picked up on time and driven directly to the boat. The captain and his first mates were very attentive. We saw a mama and baby humpback whale! We swam and boogie boarded at the beautiful beach, they also had paddle boards available. We were the only people at this beach. You can do a little hike, or just relax in the beach chairs provided. This trip was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica!

Highly recommend!!

This trip far exceeded our expectations! The crew was amazing, the beach was lovely, lunch and drinks were delicious, and so many more little things that were done to make it fun! Could not recommend more. I wish we could do this everyday in Jacó. My only complaint is that there wasn’t more time!!

Amazing day! Don’t miss!

Crew was FABULOUS. Scenery was beautiful- they take you to a private white sand beach, offer swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, unlimited drinks, accommodate dietary restrictions and provide an all around amazing day. If you go in rainy season expect big waves on the return. Captain skillfully navigated 8-10 foot waves on return trip which was an exciting experience for those who love boating. The beach was private so we were the only people there- lounge chairs available for everyone.

Simply amazing! Playa Fantasia is the beach dreams are made of. The crew was fantastic and treated us with such kindness and care. We appreciated the intimate setting with only our boat full of travelers on the beach. If you are on the fence on this one, just do it!

Playa Fantasia

Fantastic crew, food that's on point, and a beach that's pure bliss. This tour is a dream come true. The captain takes safety seriously, but don't worry, the fun and enjoyment of all the beach and beach toys make for an unforgettable day! I wish I had time to go again!

Playa Fantasía family tour

Good tour to private beach. Very attentive crew. Drinks, fruit and snacks always available. The lunch was delicious. Due to some strong waves we didn’t snorkel and banana boat not available. Our teens played volleyball, used the boogie boards, we all swam in ocean and hiked on beach. On way back, our teens got to jump from top of boat to ocean, which they loved.

Great for family!

Such a great experience. We went with kids 13, 11 and 7! Amazing food and drinks and the island was beautiful. Kids snorkeled and loved it.

Great Day on the Beach & Boat

Most of our group (4 couples in Costa Rica for a week) felt that this excursion was the highlight of the trip. This was despite the fact that it rained on us during lunch on the beach. The BBQ lunch was excellent!

Nice beach

It was a a good day to go for a boat ride, snorkel, and hang out on a private beach. The crew were very friendly and attentive. There were a lot of rules as they were for safety and from previous catamaran tours is had a couple draw backs from giving 5 stars. The “trampoline net” area to sit was old and wearing out so you were not allowed to sit on it. You were not allowed to stand along the railing. In previous catamaran tours these were not the case. The ride was very short and I felt it was too expensive. Other than that it was fun.

This is definitely a must do when visiting Costa Rica! Beautiful ride to the island, very clean and clear beach. Lunch was amazing!!

Rude staff, do not recommend

Tour staff were rude and not friendly. Did not have proper snorkel equipment and not enough adult sized masks. Would only give you a drink if you turned in your previous cup because they didn't have enough cups. Would not go again or recommend to a friend.

Rude staff, would not recommend

Staff were not friendly and we found them to be rude at times. The beach was good, the food was great. No fins for snorkeling and not enough adult sized snorkel masks. They didn't have any extra cups, so you had to give yours back if you wanted a new drink, or they wouldn't give you one. It's unfortunate that they are the only ones offering tours to this beach. Would not go again or recommend to others.

Fun on the Surf and Sand!

Excellent all around! The crew is very nice and made us feel very safe and welcome. The catamaran was in good shape. We had two kids ages 8 and 9 as well as elderly parents with us. Everyone had a blast. Playa fantasia is lovely. And the bbq lunch was amazingly delicious! Highly recommend this half day trip if you’re looking for a relaxing and fun way to spend some time on the sand and surf!

Great trip

This was a great boat trip from Jacó. The trip over to beach was beautiful. The beach was nice and so was the snorkeling. We saw some beautiful birds while there. The best part was the lunch it was steak and chicken kebabs and salad and roasted potatoes so good.

Great for families and making new friends

We had the best. Better than expected. Catamaran was only part of the trip. Your own private beach club with all the amenities. The crew was great.

Great time! Everyone was friendly. Beach was amazing. We had a range of ages including an infant and everyone had fun on the trip.

Excellent tour

Excellent tour, Crew were excellent. Beach and Snorkeling were great. Our shore lunch was great and 5 Scarlet Macaws also came.

Fantasia not Fantastic

The trip was very rushed. Don’t get the banana boat ride. Only a 20 min catamaran ride to beach, then was rushed to the banana boat. Only to find out it was not as advertised. Ad said it was a short tour around the island - it was not. It was fast and the intent was to dump us. No sightseeing. Then got back to beach and rushed to go snorkeling. Wasn’t given an option to go in a later group that apparently went out. Then lunch, which was good and good portion. Bartender and other shipmate/helpers just not friendly. Not mean, but not fun - no personality. No flippers for snorkeling and snorkeling not good. Deckhand actually touched the rocks below and picked up a starfish?? Pretty sure you are not to do that. Captain/owner not very welcoming. Stern with instructions - not friendly. Beach was beautiful and nice not to have a big crowd.

Great crew, food and experience

This was a wonderful experience. The crew was absolutely great! However, in terms of snorkeling, the waves were a bit choppy so the water was a bit mixed which lowered clarity. The reef we were taken to was mostly algae dominated, so not much coral. But overall we had a great time on vacation and the food was great!

Do not go. Absolute worst choice of activity and a waste of time

This review is for the activity itself rather than specific comments on Sealounge Catamaran company. Playa Fantasia beach is reachable only by boat and we were told, this was the closest "white sand" beach from Jaco for which the company had spots open for an excursion. The beach is small, the water is not very warm. The lunch was standard. The alcohol was sub-standard. We had previously been on a similar excursion to Isla Saona in the Dominican Republic and had a really great time. This was a letdown compared to our previous experience. The beach itself was not very impressive. We could have lounged on a beach near Jaco itself. Sunset was okay. Not worth the money and time invested. Find yourself something better to do rather than take this excursion. We paid approximately $130 per person.

Fun times

It was a really beautiful and fun trip, a lot of fun! Food and drinks were delicious! Highly recommend it if you want to get out on the water and explore!

Exceptionally enjoyable and stress-free boat and beach day

The crew and employees of Sea Lounge are amazing. They made it so easy to kick back, relax, and enjoy a nice boat ride and beach time on Playa Fantasia. Randall and the crew took care of everything, from drinks and a barbecue lunch on the beach to snorkeling and banana boat rides. We'll be coming back here again any chance we get, it was a day we'll remember and cherish for a long time.

Catamaran and beach party

We loved this catamaran excursion!! The staff is awesome and so welcoming! They offered us fresh fruit and a special drink It included all your drinks a wonderful lunch that was grilled on the beach along with the beach bar set up. The catamaran took us to a secluded beach When we were close to the beach we were able to jump off the top of the catamaran by choice. SO FUN!! The beach is very pretty with white sand. We hiked along it to some natural lava rock formations which was really pretty. You could also just hang out on the lounge chairs if desired. They broke our group into 2 groups to go snorkeling. That was nice. After snorkeling us when we had lunch and then could swim awhile or just chill. On the way back our crew spotted whales so we turned around and watched them for about 20 minutes! It was so amazing. The staff were so fun and friendly. Thank you for a great experience!

Just Go!!!

Outstanding half a day trip. Must do!!! Private beach and snorkeling. Lunch prepared on the beach. On the way back, visited by a pod of Pilot Whales. The whales were just feet away from the Catamaran. Special moment. Captain Ronaldo and his crew were excellent.

Memorable Experience

We were fortunate to have a large group cancel leaving only seven of us on the Catamaran, which was fantastic! The crew was excellent and very friendly, lunch was delicious and served on the beach, open bar with good drinks, time to swim, snorkel and lounge in the hammocks topped by a leisurely cruise back to port. All in all we would highly recommend this excursion - especially appreciated it was NOT a booze cruise!

Best trip ever

Best time ever. Saw 5 big whales, ate a fantastic meal and enjoyed some cocktails. Best service and friendly staff. Highly recommend this to everyone.

Awesome Day on the water

Randall and his crew were awesome! Lunch on the beach by far exceeded our expectations for the day trip! Drinks and chill vibes, it was really an amazing day on the water!

Five stars isn’t enough!

From start to finish, This tour exceeded each and every expectation we had—beautiful secluded beach, friendly and attentive crew, great drinks, excellent lunch and snacks. We chose to snorkel and saw a large variety of fish. When we were dropped back off at the hotel we looked at each other and said we wanted to rebook to go again the next day…it was that good!

Jaco

It was a great experience. Playa Fantastia on Sealounge Catamaran is a must do when visiting Jaco. The crew provided a great lunch with drinks.

Perfect day

Super friendly staff. Food was amazing. We got to see a whale on the way to the secluded beach. The furniture at the beach was in good shape, they even have a clean restroom. The table setting was very nice too. Snorkeling experience was good.
