Fun Adventure in the Rain!

11 of us did the canyoning/waterfall rappelling tour on a very rainy afternoon. The rain did not detract from our fun adventure! The guides, Jovan, Leslie, and more were professional, encouraging, fun, and made sure all of us were safe. This was the second time doing this tour for four of us, and I can’t recommend it enough. It was a fun adventure!!

Amazing experience

It was epic! We did the extreme waterfall canyoning with our family of 10 and it was far beyond our expectations! Not for the faint of heart and such an adrenaline rush ! Amazing team at Costa Rica waterfall tours helping us experience this memory!

Beautiful Scenery, Adrenaline Rush, Perfect Challenge, Awesome Guides

This excursion was by far the best I’ve ever done! It was thrilling, exciting and the perfect challenge. Repelling your way down this breath taking waterfall was truly an experience I’ll never forget! The guides are amazing!! They all were fun and helpful. Some of our favorites include : Leslie, Ty, Jeffery, Wilson, Lomar. Josue (Josh) especially was a huge help! He was so kind and had a peaceful presence. He spoke great English, and made us feel very safe even in nerve racking situations. I would do it over and over again!

What a rush!

What an adrenaline rush this is! The team of guides were very professional and always thinking of our safety. You start with a traditional Costa Rican lunch - we booked the 1pm tour. Next you travel up the mountain by truck and take 2 zip lines through the trees. Then, if you dare you can jump into the base of a waterfall from 2 different heights. After a short hike down to the rappelling area, we rappelled down 3 levels of waterfalls. After that you climb back up via ladders and stairs back to the truck. We highly recommend this excursion with this tour group.

Great guides - awesome setting

Best adventure we did in Costa Rica. Every part was very well done. Arnoldo, Lomar and the rest of the guides were very skilled, fun, passionate, and knowledgeable. They did such a good job supporting a range of ages. Their site is accurate - bring a sense of adventure and you'll have a great time. Cannot recommend more highly.

Fall Break from Colorado

Costa Rica Waterfall tours was truly an amazing experience! We were in Costa Rica for our kids fall break. The tour was recommended to us by a friend. As a friend, I would highly recommend this adventure. Our tour guides were Lomar & Joquain. They were fun, knowledgeable, and made for a once in a lifetime experience.

EPIC EXPERE

This is a must do!!! Most EPIC experience ever!! The tour started out with a Costa Rican breakfast prepared for us by two delightful Costa Rican women in a nice village room. It was a true cultural experience. In addition we had dietary restrictions and our guide picked up special food for us. Our guides were Lamar and Joaquin. They were abosolutely amazing!!! They were funny, knowledgeable, and they kept us so safe. They had so much experience and made the trip so much fun!!! Definitely wear water sneakers off you have, but if you are like me who forgot to bring, your shoes will prob be fine. I wore black Nike airmax and they were totally fine. Go for the cliff jumping even if you are scared, it was so cool!!! Also there is a place to leave your extra stuff if you don’t want to bring them on actual hike. Highly recommend bringing a water proof floatable case for your phone because it is much easier to take cool pics and videos without getting it ruined. You can come with family or friends and you will not regret it! Most epic amazing adventurous experience ever!!!

Best thrilling experience in Costa Rica!

By far the best thing we did during our 7 day stay in Costa Rica. Both guides (Lomar and Wilson) were so much fun and helpful. This experience is not for the faint of heart which is what sets it apart from other experiences. Guides took pictures and videos of us with our phones and were patient. Book this for the best two or three hours of your life!!

What a fun experience!

So much fun! Neither my husband or I had ever done this before. The guides gave us a quick lesson and made us feel very safe. Not once did we feel unsafe or scared. These guys know what they are doing and make sure you are comfortable every step of the way. The breakfast first at a local farm was delicious (we did the 7am tour). The ziplining and cliff jumping were awesome to start out with. You do need some physical ability to rappel and you also have to hike back up the side of the waterfall using ladders and ropes but you are clipped in to a rope for safety so I didn't think it was scary at all. I loved the whole experience and I'm usualy afraid of heights! The hike back to the truck was neat too, the guides stopped every so often to tell us about a plant or bug or whatever we came across. The open air ride to and from was awesome too! Beautiful views! We did all 4 descents and were pretty sore and tired that night but would do it again and highly recommend these guys!!

Amazing Canyoning

Highly recommend the waterfall repelling.

What a fun and exhilarating experience. The tour guides were friendly and funny. They made the group feel comfortable. Started off with a small snack/meal, which ended up helping for the excursion. The repelling was great but challenging. The zip line and jumping from cliff was a bonus. It was also exhausting because of the hike back to the 4WD trucks but manageable. Thank you for an awesome experience! Highly recommend!

Fun adventure!

Such a fun way to see the beauty of Costa Rica! Ours guides were incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and put an emphasis on safety. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic adventure canyoning

We had a great time canyoning. Lomar and Luis were fantastic guides, both keeping us safe and laughing throughout. Zip line, rappel, and water jumps. We had a blast! They have a great relationship with the neighboring land owners and do their best to keep nature at its best. The local meal with delicious.

Full day of adventure in half a day

The guides were very competent and entertaining. We had no rappelling experience and we were able to do it all with their instruction. The combination of rappelling, zip lining, and cliff jumping made it a great adventure. It was only a half day but felt like a full day adventure. Would definitely do it again with this company!

Fabulous-do not miss!

Our guides Loman & Joaquin were the absolute best. We were picked up at the meet point right on time and taken to base camp to enjoy the best homemade breakfast and coffee we had the whole trip. Then we rode in the upscale truck back (just recently built by our very own guides!) with beautiful views and nature to the to top to gear up. Two great ziplines to the river, then walking along the clearest, freshest river to the repel. The waterfall was in 'dry' season, but just the perfect amount of challenging and fun. The guides were also willing to take so many fabulous pictures of our experience. I cannot recommend this excursion enough. Some of the best money we have ever spent.

Amazing Experience

Joaquin and Luis were great guides to have - super fun and relaxed but also very knowledgeable and made us feel very safe, as they had each been doing this for many years. They had such a nice balance of joking around, sharing stories, learning about us, and making sure we felt comfortable with the skills needed to repel/zip line safely. We weren’t quite sure how intense/immersive the experience would be but the repelling was cut into four parts down a big waterfall and for having never done something like that they gave us tips along the way that helped us gain confidence very quickly.

Incredible experience, amazing staff.

I contacted the manager, Joe, who was very responsive when helping me book the tour. The guides picked us up promptly at the set time. Wilson and Joaquin were very knowledgeable about all manner of local animals and plants, and highly focused on safety. They made us all very secure and enabled a really fun day all around. Cannot recommend more highly.

A tough but fun time - totally worth it

Unbelievable experience. It was just me and my 8-year-old son on my 41st birthday. Winston picked us up from our hotel right on time and drove us safely to base camp, pointing out sites along the way. At base camp we had a great meal of eggs, rice and beans, and plantains. The food was fantastic- and our new puppy friends enjoyed our scraps. We picked up our second guide, Lomar, and went off into the jungle. Winston and Lomar were so accommodating, and funny! We were all laughing throughout the tour, but they never took shortcuts with our safety. They’re knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation, and gave us the right balance of adventure and learning. This tour is not for the faint of heart. The cliff jumping is scary - but worth it - and the repelling is HARD - but also very worth it. It’s worth noting my son wasn’t big enough to do everything because of the waterfall pressure, but Winston and Lomar made sure he could participate as much as possible and didn’t feel left out. Last but not least, because it was my birthday they stopped at a bar for a celebratory shot and a beer on our way back to the hotel. I wasn’t expecting that and it was so cool of them to do that.

You must try this!

Experience of a lifetime! Lomar and Vince made us feel comfortable and were great guides. Lomar was very patient and helped my wife navigate the hike in wet conditions. Both guides are quite funny as well. I have never rappelled but the guides gave wonderful lessons and I was quickly comfortable descending thru the waterfall. Experience of a Lifetime

This far exceeded my expectations! We were picked up in Jaco and travelled to basecamp for a delicious home cooked breakfast and some puppy dog snuggles. After that, we travelled further up the mountain, with Lomar and Wilson, honestly the best guides we could have asked for. My 16 year old daughter and I had zero experience rappeling, I never felt uneasy or worried. Lomar and Wilson provided detailed and concise training, and ongoing feedback throughout each waterfall. Lomar also provided additional information on the surrounding area, wildlife and plants which I definitely appreciated. After the 4th and final waterfall, we hiked straight up out of the area back to the car. It was apparent that Lomar and Wilson love their jobs, and this made the whole experience one of my favorites throughout our week in Costa Rica. My daughter and I both wore swimsuits under exercise clothes that would dry quickly. I had a pair of trail shoes and she wore tennis shoes. I would recommend wearing a good pair of shoes, rather than water shoes or flip flops due to the amount of hiking throughout. We purchased waterproof cell phone cases from Amazon and those worked perfect to protect them throughout the trip.

This repelling excursion was a high light of our trip to Costa Rica. Wilson and Joaquin were amazing tour guides! They answered our questions, were easy to talk with, showed us incredible views and the scenery was impeccable! The trip included hiking, ziplining, and repelling. Must- do in Jaco!

Awesome experience in Jaco! This is the perfect tour if you are into thrill and breath-taking views. The guides were great and made you feel safe (but, didn't go overkill on safety). The light lunch was yummy and 4x4 to the waterfalls was fun. I would recommend this tour if you are up for an adventure, fit and not afraid of heights! A must-do in Jaco for sure.

Adrenaline Rush

Exciting adrenalin rush. The 2 zip lines were a fun way to start the excitement. Christian and Lomar were fun and informative when it came to safety and teaching the repelling. The waterfall repel was a challenge. You better be in good shape to handle the rush, humidity and challenging hike back up the waterfall. We enjoyed the experience

Right amount of adventure

Excellent! Best guides! Best waterfalls! Best experience!

We took our 14 year old and 12 year old twins on the extreme waterfall rappelling tour and can’t say enough great things. We met our ah-mazing guides (Wilson and Joaquin) in Jaco and rode with them up onto the mountain. We were served a lovely homemade breakfast at a small home in the hills (super charming and delicious!) before we transferred to the 4x4 and drove to the top. We locked our valuables in a lock box at the home where we ate before we left. Once at the top, they fitted us with our gear and off we went. First up there were two easy zip lines. I do not like that butterfly sensation that you get on roller coasters etc and I did not get any from the zip lines (or all day)! They teach you how to rappel from the landing platform of the last zip line. Our guides were awesome at coaching us on how to control our speed and helping us get past our fear! Seriously, it is all in your head. :) Next up, everyone but me (because butterflies) did some “cliff jumping” into a swimming hole and then we started our rappel. After the 4th rappel we were able to peek over the canyon edge and decide if we really wanted to do the final “extreme” 180ft waterfall. Three of us did (including me) and two didn’t. So, three of us went with Wilson and the other two headed back to the 4x4 with Joaquin. As other reviewers have mentioned, the hike out is no joke. It’s a 1/4 miles on the river and then another 1/4 mile or so that is so steep that you clip onto a rope to prevent falling (like via ferrata) and then another 1/3 a mile of steep scrambling/hiking out. Don’t chicken out on the last waterfall! It’s just like all the others, you control your speed and can go slow and steady. It’s so pretty and so worth it!

Fun experience

Christen and Arnold were are guides. Funny and knowledgeable of the area and keeping us safe. Zipp lining was easy and fun, repelling down the waterfalls took some practice, diving into the pool of water was fun. If you have never repelled before it takes some practice but our guides never made us feel unsafe.

Best adventure activity! Fun for all

This is one of the best adventure activities I have ever done in any country. The guides we had this time were Cristian & Wilson who were extremely professional wanting you to have a super fun time but they also take your safety very seriously. My husband and friend had a complete blast too! Highly recommend you do this activity when in or around Jaco

Worth every penny!

The trip was awesome and the guides so fantastic. They truly made the day! Good vibes and lots of laughter. I felt adventurous and safe at the same time.

It had its ups and downs (all kidding aside, two thumbs up).

Great trip - strenuous (but mostly only for the climb back out of the gorge at the end). But very safe given what it is, and Mike and Lomar were excellent guides - quite knowledgable, personable and attentive. They felt like old friends by the end. The truck ride up and back was very scenic. And rugged. Ride on the cab, if they'll let you, but make sure everyone gets a turn if they want to. Saw toucans, scarlet macaws and cicada rain (don't try to taste it). The provided lunch was good. Local flavor, prepared on site, and quite appreciated. It was the dry season, so the 'river' was on the lower side - we didn't really get drenched above the knees except from jumping in the two pools. The water was just brisk enough to be refreshing. Not cold at all. The rappels were generally fairly short, but still fun (it may not be thrilling for really experienced canyoneers). Lomar went out of his way to try to help get some pics with our phones (when safety and circumstances allowed). Some of the helmets have camera mounts. Wish I had known/thought of this and brought my GoPro along -my only complaint, really. My friends and I enjoyed the whole experience quite a bit. Beer was available at the end, and cheap.

Great Activity

This was probably the best activity we did on our entire Costa Rica trip! I feel bad for not remembering the two men that were our guides but they were so knowledgeable, so funny and friendly and made us feel safe the entire time. This is a must do activity!

incredible adventure

We lucked out and essentially had a private tour because my husband and I were the only participants. Our guides Cristian and Lomar took great care of us, pointed out several neat animals (poison dart frog, blue butterfly, birds), and kept us laughing the whole time with their humor. Neither of us had rappelled down waterfalls before, so it was an adventure that we'll never forget. "Canyoning" is so fun, and this particular tour was incredible because of the guides and the beautiful nature encountered. Heads up, a huge delicious Tico breakfast is provided at base camp. I can't imagine a better adventure tour.

Don't Think Twice!

The pictures don't do the tour justice! This was an unforgettable experience that I can't recommend enough. My fiance and I went into this with absolutely no experience and still had the time of our lives. Our tour guides were Christine and Herold, great guys. They were both enthusiastic and incredibly supportive of us, despite us definitely slowing the tour down. Overall, one of my favorite experiences while staying in Costa Rica!

Exceptionally fun experience!

We did the extreme canyoneering tour and it was phenomenal! I was a little worried about being fit enough, but I had no issues at all. The guides were fun, yet professional - even while rappelling down a waterfall, I always felt completely safe! Highly recommend this tour!

Awesome experience

Exhilarating fun, highly recommend!!

My wife and I have to rate this our all time favorite activity EVER!! Beautiful scenario, challenging, yet rewarding experience. Repelling was highlight but jumping into pools was amazing. Joaquin and Herald are the best guides, professional and friendly!! We would do this again in a heartbeat!

Extreme Canyoning - Great Experience

This was an incredible experience. It felt more “off the beaten path” than any other tour I have been on from Jaco. We did the extreme canyoning version. The extreme part was very scary because I think the water levels were higher than normal. However, the guides made us feel safe and helped us conquer something that looked impossible from the top of the waterfall. I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Jaco.

Great guides and excellent adventure.

Highly recommend! We had a blast! The guides are knowledgeable and we felt safe the entire time. They also seemed to be having just as much fun as we were. We ziplined, cliff jumped, and did several waterfall repels. Great day!

Great guides, a real adventure

Lamar and Harold were great, experienced and funny. Some of our group couldn’t complete all the canyoning, it is definitely a thrill. Great food and sights though, they stopped the 4x4 often to show us plants and animals we definitely would’ve missed. Lamar took some great action shots too!

Great time, Christian & Lamar we funny and professional. Safety was taken seriously. My wife & I took our 3 adult daughters ages 18, 21 & 24. The rainforest was fascinating and we saw a toucan and a black & green dart frog. I would recommend this excursion for the adventurous. Would definitely do this one again.

Lamar is the best. Do this trip!

This is a must do trip. The tour guide, Lamar, has been doing this for 18 years and knows everything there is about the jungle. He found us toucans, a pack of monkeys, wild turkeys and all types of cool trees. The actual canyoning itself is so fun a ridiculously beautiful.

Extreme Canyoning

Did the extreme canyoning. Great tour and it takes you where not possible by yourself. I am an experienced climber and in good shape. Not the best tour if you have a fear of heights or can’t climb up a very steep slope for the climb out. Highly recommend for those with a sense of adventure and want something more then the easy tour.

Great Adventure for Teens

This was a great experience for a family with teens. We did the extreme canyoneering tour, which was definitely an adventure. Guides Christian, Joaquin and Leslie were amazing: friendly, encouraging and, above all, safe. The tour descends 350 feet through a canyon and waterfall. Though it was strenuous, it was well worth the effort. FYI, if you brave the 30-foot plunge into the pool below the waterfall, take off your Apple Watch. I lost mine— but Christian went back with a dive mask later in the day, found it, and delivered it to our condo: totally above and beyond! Thanks for a great day!

Canyoning & Zip Gorgeous Private Waterfalls

Wonderful tour began with lunch provided by fruit-farming women. Zipped over the river twice then a series of rappels down the waterfall. Safety Assured by cautious guides even in jumping diving into deep pool below Waterfall. Very knowledgeable about ecosystem: poison frogs, tree frogs, macaws, falcons, snakes, Every tree & plant.Delightful day in the rainforest!

AWESOME experience!

This was an AWESOME experience! Arnold and Lemar were the BEST guides! They kept everyone safe and having a great time! We'd recommend the cliff jumping and waterfall repelling to anyone visiting Costa Rica. Our guides kept us laughing, and also knew so much about the wildlife there, so we were able to see and learn about things we never would have seen on our own....frogs, birds, trees, etc. The local breakfast was perfect. Would give them 10 stars!
