Excellent guides, thrilling experience, 10 out of 10 would recommend. We had a group of 6 and 2 guides on a beautiful sunny day at the beginning of June and it was an amazing experience of jumping, sliding, and epsailing our way through the canyon.

Canyoning Grimsel with OUTDOOR

It was a special experience to follow down the canyon with various activities. But the guide was very rude - assuming that I cannot speak or understand English just because of my nationality.

Brilliant day out, so glad we booked

Each waterfall was a different jump/slide/abseil. It was such a fun day out. I'd recommend it to anyone, plus as a tourist staying in interlaken you can get 10% off

Best experience of our week!

We had never been canyoning before. Our guide, Sebastian was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone in our group knew what to do at all times. He made this experience very enjoyable and something we will definitely try again. He also had a guide with him and was teaching him different things to watch for and asking him questions to make sure he knew. It was obvious Sebastian is very passionate about his job and wants to make it a fun and great experience for everyone.

Exciting and Fun

We had so much fun on this trip with our college and high school aged kids!! I was worried about being cold, but the wet suits and jackets did the trick and I felt great. It was challenging and a little scary in parts but I’m so glad I did it and didn’t leave the fun just for my kids. The guides were great! There was adventure and challenge through out the entire canyon! Come already dressed in your bathing suit and pack dry clothes to change into!

A thrill ride from start to finish.

It was a ton of fun. A few parts were a bit nerve-wracking, but in a good way (we always felt safe), and our guides Martina and Hannah were terrific. I’d highly recommend it!

A must add to your itinerary!

We selected the Grimsel Pass Canyoning and it was spectacular! We had seen it on the Amazing Race and definitely wanted to try it, and it turned out to be one of our favorite things from our trip! Stan, Christof, and Owen were our guides and they were awesome! Physically it is challenging as you have on a wetsuit that adds a bit of weight that you’re not used to, but for the amount of fun you have it’s totally something to put on your Switzerland itinerary!!! I highly recommend purchasing the video ahead of time! Prior to going I wasn’t sure if it was worth it, and a lot of those on our journey were uncertain, but after the experience we were all queuing up to purchase the video. We received our video very quickly and the edits were fantastic! There is simply no other way to show others what you did on this experience! Thanks Stan, Owen, and Christof for an unforgettable day!

Exhilarating & Memorable!

Such a blast!!! The tour took about 5.5 hrs total from pick up to drop off. They provided all of the equipment necessary for the trip: wetsuit, shoes, helmet, life jacket. The guides were fun and made us feel safe. We rappelled multiple times, jumped off rocks into pools of water, and did some rock scrambling. This was a great experience that we all enjoyed (2 40-year olds & 2 20-year olds). Our boys talked about this tour for the rest of our trip. It’s a memorable one!

AMAZING!!!

This was a phenomenal experience. Where else can you go in the world for such an adventure I’m Switzerland. You will do and enjoy things you would not have thought of. The view was outstanding.

This ended up being my favorite part of a 2-week vacation in the Alps. Canyoneering was so much fun, so adventurous and unique. It was a really fun activity, the guides were excellent, and I really enjoyed the other travelers in my group! It was an amazing day and I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

Great Rookie Experience

The overall experience was great! Despite being rookies at canyoning, our guides Iain and (forgive me for forgetting our other guides name) we’re very helpful in giving us the rundown needed for a successful trip. I would highly recommend canyoning with Outdoor!

This was an amazing experience. Ian and Emilie were great guides- knowledgeable about canyoning and the area; gave excellent instructions and quick with an extra dose of courage when needed. Loved the stories they shared. Thank you- Starman, Thor, Gladiator and Mystique.

A Must Do Activity!!

My dad (58) and I (20) absolutely loved this experience!! My dad is also afraid of heights but still really enjoyed it despite his anxiousness at the beginning. I wouldn’t say my dad and I are in our prime fitness-wise, but this was so doable because there were short breaks between the slides, jumps, climbing. etc. since the other group members were going. Our guides Ian and Heath were wonderful! They do so much by helping everyone go through the canyon and carrying all the rope and other equipment. They definitely deserve a raise for their great work Lol! The lunch was ask very good. The take videos of everyone at all the cool parts and a picture of you and your group if you aren’t traveling alone, which can be purchase before or after for 40 CHF. Overall 11/10 experience!! I definitely recommend.

A decent time

A satisfactory experience. Rappelling and zip lining was fun and the setting was gorgeous. Most of the actual canyoning was spent waiting for people to get through obstacles though so we didn't end up traveling very far. On other canyoning trips I've been on, they had more staff working with people to get them through sections of the canyon so you never had to stop and wait for the whole group to get through.

Fantastic canyoning

We were a group of Explorer Scouts and adults. The instruction we got was fabulous. The activity challenges your brain to go for it when it’s saying no, but that’s what makes it brilliant. The instructors helped us through it all very safely. We all had a great time and were very well looked after

Exhilarating and beautiful scenery

Our family (parents and two teenagers, 18 and 15) did the Grimsel Pass Canyoning Experience. Well run, organized, and guides speak English. The tour was a great time - with plenty of jumps and slides. The scenery is amazing. The guides were experienced and we felt safe. Company has important and detailed information online, which was super helpful. Read it carefully, especially for the canyoning trips. This Grimsel Pass tour has a 150' repel down a cliff face into the canyon, which mom found super intimidating. But we were expecting it based on reading the online info, and everything else was fun and exhilarating. We did several other things with Outdoor Interlaken (Jet Boat & Interlaken Ropes Course) - recommend them all and this company.

Great way to explore the beauty of Switzerland

Guide was great - Tim from New Zealand was a lot of fun and professional. The canyoning takes about 1.5 hours, the van ride to the canyon about an hour and then an hour for lunch so you’re looking at about a 5 hour excursion. I wish I had done the full day canyoning which they said is about 3.5 hours.

Don’t book with Travel Advisor. to go right to the supplier. TA lost my all my activities on their web site and I couldn’t cancel/reschedule things without calling the actual supplier. totally pain in the butt. But outdoor.ch is a great trip organizer and well worth the money. Especially canyoneering in Grimsel Canyon

Canyon adventure

My son and I had an amazing time it was quite magical to have such a great adventure in such a beautiful place. It was thrilling but very safe and the guides did an excellent job of giving each person what they needed. I personally needed a little extra help walking across the rocks. If you are ready for a wonderful and thrilling adventure you are in good hands.

A perfect way to spend 1/2 a day!

Great guides, and a lot of fun! It is an easy trip. Those with much experience will find it quite easy; but it is a lot of fun! The guides teach how to do things in simple and easy to understand ways, then make sure you are able to do it in a safe way ... all while having a blast! I highly recommend this trip for beginners who want to play ... you couldn't find a more perfect way to spend 1/2 a day!

Wonderful experience!

We had a great time on our canyoning trip. Our guides, Matt and Steph, were very fun, knowledgeable, and experienced. Everyone we interacted with from Outdoor was very professional and the whole experience went very smoothly. We also booked hang gliding through them and that was a great experience too. We would definitely come back and do more excursions through Outdoor and will use them again the next time we are in Interlaken.

My sister and I went canyoning for the first time and absolutely loved it! The experience was exciting and definitely worth it. The guides we had were great and very clear about instructions. I would recommend this experience to anyone who’s interested.

Epic adventure for mother and son!!

At the age of 50+ I went canyoning for the first time with my 23 year old son. Our guides Martina and Steph were incredible. Their number one priority was assuring the safety of all of the guests at all times while still making sure that everyone was having a great time. I was absolutely terrified to do the 150 foot repel. I didn’t think I could do it but Martina took her time to encourage me and assured me that I would be safe. With her help I was able to do the repel and complete the rest of the course. It was amazing!!You should definitely be in fairly good shape to do this activity as it is physically and mentally challenging. Expect a few bumps and bruises but that is no surprise with this type of activity. It was an epic experience and one that we we always remember.

Family adventure

Our family of 4 wasn't entirely sure what to expect . We knew this was an intermediate level adventure and we wanted to get right in the middle of it. Well, it did not disappoint! We started with a repel and went down the canyon through the river. It was cold, but we were well-outfitted by our guides and stayed warm enough and moved quickly between jumps and repels that it was fine. By the time we got back to the base, we were tired and welcomed the sandwich and beer waiting. Our kids (ages 18 and 18) loved it. My husband and I did too but realized we aren't as young as we once were. We are so happy we did it and our guides were wonderful and kept us safe.

Our trip was awesome! The girls helping us get signed up in the shop were very friendly. Miro & Flurin were great guides, they explained everything to us in detail before we just jumped in-several of us on the trip were first timers at canyoning. They always made sure everyone was safe, never once did I feel unsafe. We signed up for the shortest tour, but were wishing we would have signed up for a longer trip. If I am ever back in Switzerland, I will forsure book a longer trip! This was also a great way to see Switzerland from another point of view. The scenery is gorgeous! Great experience overall!

Hands down best part of Switzerland!

The Grimsel canyoning experience was our favorite part of our stay in Switzerland. Our guides Anna and Miro were absolutely amazing - both friendly and helpful. It was our first time canyoning, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. The route had lots of jumps and rappelling, but our guides coached us the entire way. They even had some snacks at the end of a fun but exhausting trip. Thank you Outdoor Interlaken for an amazing day!

Amazing experience!

My wife and I enjoyed an amazing experience Canyoning through the Grimsel Canyon. It was a cold but sunny day after some snow, so we were thinking we would be quite cold but it wasn't too bad (just keep your hands out of the water when you can). This want too intense for me but still exhilarating (albeit I'm a bit of a thrill junkie who enjoys climbing trees, skate parks, snowboarding jumps, etc.). The jumps were definitely fun and I was surprised the 10m jump want as scary as I thought it would although my wife didn't didn't quite feel the same but loved the jump slide where you jump to the left and slide down a natural rock slide. Overall, it's an amazing experience and I hope to come back and try Chli Schliere!

Better than we could have ever imagined

Canyoning Grimsel was one part of our trip we very much looked forward to. But it far exceeded our expectations. Our guides were friendly and fun and made the whole experience memorable. The adventure itself was terrifying, breathtaking, and a ton of fun. We went on our honeymoon and had a blast. They keep you safe the whole time. Even if you are scared and not a strong swimmer, like my wife, they will help you and keep you safe. Anyone can do this if they can conquer their fears. No strength or technical skills required. The one bit of advice I could give is the guides could be slightly better at helping people who are clearly very scared. Two people in our group were terrified and they just needed someone to talk to them and help them do it. Anna was one of our guides and she did a great job at this. But our other guide did not. Especially considering that once you’re in there you have no choice but to do the features, it would help if they were better at talking you through it. Still an amazing experience and worthy of a 5 star.

I had high hopes when we booked this and it didn’t disappoint!! It was fantastic. Our guide was Owen and did great to help my wife and I have the best time. Wow. Don’t think twice.

Coolest thing I have ever done!

Not only was canyoning amazing but the guides made it super fun too! They goofed around with us while still making sure everyone felt super safe! I wish I had signed up for the longer one because it was so much fun!

Adrenaline Rush

We highly recommend this experience! I visited with my in-laws who were nervous about struggling through the course. The guides, and even fellow adventurers, were extremely helpful to us by always encouraging and lending a hand. We are truly grateful! We had so much fun!

First time canyoneering - was so fun!

You owe it to yourself to go do this. You won’t be disappointed. Our 1-hour adventure was absolutely unforgettable. If had anything to do again I would choose a longer tour. Our guides were excellent and so much fun!

Nice day

I have been canyoning before so maybe my expectations where a little bit high. The guides were professional and very nice in every way possible as well as staff in hq. I was hoping for higher jumps and more water, but the execution of the the trip and how it was set up was good for this canyon. My vife thought it was more thrilling then me and she gives it 5 🌟. Overall nice day out with cool people.

Excellent!

Amazing morning and highly recommended. The guides (Stan and Mate) were fun and highly trained. Didn’t feel in any danger at all. Interacted with the group the whole way around. The jumps didn’t feel as high with the surroundings and the zip wire at the end was incredible. Well worth experiencing! We also got pictures and the experience recorded which was well worth the money as the end was like an action packed little recording.

Our instructor for the Grimsel Canyoning was awesome and funny, We can’t remember his name but he’s the Irish guy. Interlaaken Canyoning- THE BEST

What an experience! We had so much fun. What a totally new experience for all of us. We had so many fears of heights and the cold water going in, but afterwards we ALL wanted to do it again. We were safe, warm, and exhilarated! Rappelling, climbing, sliding, swimming, jumping, and 'flying'... what a trip!!!

Canyoning- not common in USA but very cool

Had a chance to try this cool adventure. The guides were very good, safety conscious and had a good sense of humor. You do have to do counterintuitive things like jump off rocks into unknown pools of water( needing to hit the water at the right angle and shape of body or else it's curtains.) On a hot afternoon it's a great activity. You rappelle down a cliff, swing over to another rock, jump off a boulder into a rushing river. A lawyer's dream in the USA...which is why the US is so lame

10/10 would do again

First time ever canyoning and did the medium difficulty trip. Stan and An(n?)a were our guides- they were thorough and also a lot of fun. Definitely something you want to do if you’re in Switzerland!
