Evening Hyderabad Street Food Walk with Hyderabad Biryani

A not to be missed culinary experience in Hyderabad. In the capable hands of guide Srinu, we tasted so many dishes during the walk, and learnt about the unique food of the city, including the Hyderabadi Biryani, which was so much better than the English version.

Excellent tour, highly recommend!

This was an outstanding tour! Visiting the Charminar area is wild, especially for a white person. The tour guide made me feel comfortable and took me to some great food stalls around the market area. The main meal at Shadab Biryani was AMAZING! We had mutton soup, chicken kabobs, and chicken biryani. It would have been very difficult to go to that restaurant on my own without a guide. After the meal, we had some tasty sweets nearby. Highly recommend this experience!

Not what we were expecting

This tour is labelled wrong, we thought that we would be walking around Hyderabad sampling food, indeed the pictures we saw gave that impression. All you do is walk back and forth across a carpark, from 2 restaurants, the first one is a fast food restaurant where you are given 2 types of Chicken, then you walk back across the carpark and have a Biryani in a restaurant, the tour is finished off with milky Tea. One of our party was vegan and there was no alternative provided, so they only had a veg biryani. The food itself was delicious, but the your itself was misrepresented.

Really enjoyed our evening with Sri. Very knowledgeable about Hyderabad and it’s history. Learnt about the Shahs and Nizams and also a lot about the food and it’s origins

Deliciously Informative 😋

Fabulous tour guide and historian Srinu gave us 2000 years of Indian culinary history that prepared us to fully appreciate the Hyderabadi delicacies we were about to eat. Such a lovely and fun evening learning the history and taste of many Hyderabadi culinary traditions. Would totally recommend to any omnivorous foodie!

Good Eats With John!

Had a blast eating with our guide, John. Forgot that we were on a tour and felt like dinner with a good friend. The biryani was sooo good and the place we ate at was packed (so you know everyone thinks so too). I would recommend this tour and would do it again with John anytime due to the authenticity and flavor.

The perfect taste of Hyderabad!

This walk is the perfect way to explore the great street food of Hyderabad. A very nice selection of places to visit is made, especially for haleem and biryani. Make sure to have sufficient room in your stomach because there are a lot of different things to taste!

Food Walk in Hyderabad

During my official trip to Hyderabad i had a free evening and wanted to try out the food scene. Five senses tours had a food trail and I signed up on Tripadvisor for that. It was a magnificent evening. Our guide was a lovely person and he took us to all the local hangouts and we tasted many delicacies like the famous Hyderabadi biriyani, dosa and kebabs. The food street was quite exciting and we had a great time. Highly recommended for a great experience of Hyderabad's food scene

Food trail in Hyderabad

Simply awesome! The food trail was finger licking and our guide ensured we tasted the best of Hyderabad food. We enjoyed the famed Hyderabad biriyani and then had awesome kebabs. We also got to taste some amazing local dessert whose name skipped my mind. Even the Tea or chai as it was called was accompanied by a local speciality of biscuits called Osmania. An out and out fun day out in Hyderabad for foodies.

Hyderabad food tour

I had a stopover in hyderabad and decided to explore the food scene. I had heard about the amazing food streets. So I took this evening food trail and it was very good. It was literally a feast over 2.5 hours. My guide knew his food and got me to the best places for Biriyani which is flavoured rice and accompaniments. I also got to taste the juicy kebabs! The dessert scene was indulging with all sorts of traditional sweets. Even the tea here was unique. They call it the irani chai. This is a great way to explore the good culture of Hyderabad.
