Disappointing and Falsely Advertised

I cannot fault the sites they were absolutely breathtaking however the tour itself was very disappointing. They arrived very late for pickup to start - not fun with a 4:30am planned meet. whilst I asked and paid for a tour in English, it turns out the entire tour was in Romanian/ Polish which was a shame as I learnt nothing on the day about the sites we were seeing. I would not recommend this to anyone as everything is a massive upsell and a solo female traveller it was exhausting.

If you have limited time this is a half decent whistle stop tour of Luxor. However the balance of timings was all off. We spent longer in the alabaster factory than in the tombs - which is just wrong. Also Banana Island is a con. It’s a dirty place with some monkeys in a small cage, one being dragged around on a lead by a young child and an aligator stuck in a cage that resembled a well. Definitely not worth the additional £88 we paid as a family. It didn’t seem like it was an optional thing. But if it was I’d defo say AVOID. The time we spent in this place could be spent going to Luxor Temple or just longer at the main attractions

Inexplicably I was the...

Inexplicably I was the only English speaking person in the bus with other visitors from Romania probably. One lady expressed her dissent always when our guide provided me comments in English about a expozition. Also there was massive and aggressive harassment from local sellers when we were about to see Luxor's monuments.

Extra charges more than doubles cost/ scam touris

Request all costs upfront as there will be excessive additional charges to view everything, admission to tombs and history is essential to experience tour properly and you will be charged for anything possible even toilet paper. Toyr guide was informative

Memorable day in the most amazing historical sites with the best guide!

We(our 4 member family) were the only English speaking members of the group. Main group were Polish. In the tour bus there was only Polish tour guide, but in Luxor an English tour guide was waiting for us. Mohammed was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable, polite, funny! He made our day so memorable! We learnt many things and had the rear chance to see the sites not too crowded, especially the Karnak temple, where we came early in the morning, before all the groups. The restaurant for the lunch was good. We liked the trip to Banana island too, nevertheless that it was on additional cost.

Amazing!

Very nice trip, it takes all day from the early morning ( around 3:30am) but it is so worth it, one of the best views you will see in Luxor.

Breathtaking visits in Louxor!

Marvellous day out in Louxor! Our guide Mohammed is passionate about his job and will answer all your questions, thank you Ramses ,-)The day is full on and you will see many breathtaking sights. We had to pay £10 extra for a Nile cruise which was worth it! The only issue is the compulsory stop to an Alabaster shop that took far too long as we wished we had spent more time in Karnak! Apart from that a great trip! Thanks Mohammed and the team!

Another Fantastic Trip

We are a family of 7. 2 seniors, 2 Adults and 3 children. We previously booked a trip to Cairo and were so impressed, we then booked this trip to Luxor. I can’t speak highly enough of the transfer drivers, tour guide and experience. Said, our tour guide was extremely knowledgable, kind and helpful. He greeted us with bottled water, cans of coke and even bought us ice cream. Such a genuine, kind man. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and the excursions we booked with this company, honestly made our holiday! Thank you again for a safe and memorable experience that we will remember as a family forever!

Excursion from Hurghada to Luxor.

At first I was afraid of booking this activity via trip advisor but I’m glad that I did as it all went very smoothly. I got my confirmation a day or two before the tour started and a day before, I received a WhatsApp message to confirm I was booked in and to confirm my room number, hotel address and the pick up time. The tour itself went very well with a near full coach, mostly Germans and Russians, so the group divided in two when we stated the visita. It took a bit of time to collect every guest from their hotels (maybe more than 10 stops if I recall well). Also there are over 10 police check points between Hurghada and Cairo. All pretty safe. In my group there was double translation of German and English which at some times was a bit annoying but it also allowed some time to sightseeing a bit more while the German briefing was going one. There was also a tour coordinator that helped manage the coach seats and breaks until we reached Luxor. We had a great guide and Egyptologist called Mimo!! Very lively, funny and good hearted and gave us lots of tips and funny names such as Mrs Toblerone. This is a very good value for money tour that includes the transfers, guide and lunch!! It also packs lots of monuments and visits in one single day. I can really recommend this company. It would be good if they could share an email address so we can also contact them via email in case we have any questions beforehand. But very happy with the tour and this company.

great trip!

It was a amazing trip .. Luxor was full of history and it was great to see it. Never enough time on websites but we got a very good overview. Our guide Hazem was really amazing .. He knew a lot not only about the sites we visited but also talked about a lot of history and culture between the sites and on the bus ride. I really recommend this tour..Thank you for a great trip!

I loved Luxor

I visited Luxor from hurghada as an over day it was very amazing and perfect to have a tour like this firstly I took a bus from hurghada to Luxor I enjoyed the way and the natural views then upon the arrival I took some rest then the guide took me to visit the amazing west bank it was very important to see this place then I had lunch and went to Karnak temple I enjoyed the day very much and I loved Luxor too.

A fantastic luxor tour

The price was reasonable.the transfer man picked me up from the hotel, the bus was big and comfortable with air condition and toilet,we drove to Luxor.our first stop in Luxor was Karnak temple where we met our guide Hazem Hassan,he speaks English fluently,he gave us a lot of information about ancient Egypt.then we crossed the Nile on a motor boat to the restaurant.it was a good restaurant with Nile view.after lunch we went to the valley of the kings and the temple of queen Hatshepsout,nearby we visited the Alabaster factory,where I bought a nice cat made from alabaster,we stopped in front of the colossal statues of Memnon where I did nice photos. Then I paid for the optional trip to the banana village by the boat.it was a great experience on the Nile.then the bus took us back to Hurghada. Thank you very much

Luxor the best.

I was in Egypt for 10 days and visited cairo,hurghada and Luxor. But definitely luxor was the best,our representative mohamed picked us up from our hotel at 4:30 am then we moved towards luxor.the bus was so comfortable.we arrived to luxor around 9 am and started our tour to karnak temple which was so inspiring for me.we moved then and had delicious lunch in local restaurant,we crossed to the west bank and visited the valley of the kings and hatshepsut temple,tombs there was amazing.can not forget our guide heba she was amazing.entrance fees was not included.we took motor boat as optional tour with additional cost and we did enjoy it.for me luxor was the best in Egypt

Great trip

we had a tour from hurghada to luxor by bus it was very amazing and joyful and very safe after our arrival we had some rest then we start our visit temple of karnak it was very amazing and impressive how it is very big and large it was very amazing and kibash road was very amazing we enjoyed watching this amazing temple and know the history of it then we visited the west bank we started the valley of the kings it was very impressive we saw 3 tombs there which is the best of them and know about its history then we went to hatshepsut it was very amazing funeral temple we knew that she was the best strong women through the history shy was very strong and she ruled Egypt i loved these information very much then the last thing we visited was the Colossi of Memnon they was very amazing statues which still until now it was very impressive. i really loved the way of pharaohs thoughts of building these things you should see them

Amazing sites, okay tour

The Positive: - The Egyptian historical sites are amazing and definitely worth visiting. - Our tour guide Mohammed was very knowledgeable on all the places we visited. - Tour guide did his best to give a lot of information, was friendly and relaxed. The room for improvement - You feel like a walking ATM all day long, everyone wants your money...and constantly asks for it. - Even the tour guide tries to constantly 'upsell' you additions to the tour or make you visit other things not mentioned in the program (alabaster shop) and it's done in kind of a slick way (e.g. better taking the boat, 12 euros extra because crossing the river by fan will take more than an hour extra). Luxor seems like one big affiliate marketing program and everyone seems to be in on it. Would I recommend it? I probably would have still gone knowing what I know now. Like I said, the sites are incredible and I wonder if every tour has the same downsides. The whole upselling is ridiculous but try to have a good laugh about it. :)

Perfect day in Luxor

I went from hurghada to Luxor by bus for 1 day it was very amazing tour and the driver was perfect and it was very safe for me to have a tour like this I enjoyed the time between hurghada and Luxor also the temples was very amazing to see really it have very special history you should have this tour once

Amazing experience from hurghada to luxor

It was a great experience with Via tour,that I did a day trip to Luxor from Hurghada.I booked with Via tour on line.the transfer man came picked me up from the hotel around 04:40 am.drove to Luxor.the bus was very good.upon arrival at Luxor,the tour guide Mustafa met us in Karnak temple,he gave us a lot of information about ancient Egypt, we got around half an hour as free time to make pictures.after that we crossed the Nile on a motor boat to the restaurant,the food was good with a nice view of the Nile,after lunch we visited valley of the kings and Hatshepsout temple and the factory of alabaster and the colossal statues of Memnon.before leaving Luxor we did a Nile trip on a motor boat,we also visited the banana village,we saw a lot of trees and crocodiles.we had banana and some other fruits, it was tasty meal before leaving Luxor.we drove back to Hurghada, Thank you very much

Day to Luxor from Hurghada with Charming Egypt Tours was a very nice day and the bus was modern and the delegate Hussein had experience and the guide Mohamed Ali has a great experience in Egyptian archeology and the restaurant is excellent and in the end thank you very much......

Heiß, dauert lange, aber absolut lohnenswert

Wir wurden sehr früh morgens (04:45 Uhr) von unserem Reiseveranstalter (alltours) von unserem Hotel mit einem geräumigen, modernen und klimatisierten Reisebus abgeholt. Nachdem alle Reiseteilnehmer (ca. 20) eingesammelt wurden, ging der Ausflug los. Bereits auf dem Weg nach Luxor bekamen wir vom Reiseleiter einige Informationen zu Land und Leute in Ägypten. Man fährt durch die Wüste, am Nil entlang und durch einige Dörfer. Nach ca. 2,5 Stunden gab es eine erste Rast, wo Toiletten und diverse Verkaufsstände vorhanden waren. Generell wird man in Ägypten an den Verkaufsständen sehr von den Verkäufern bedrängt etwas zu kaufen. Man hat so das Gefühl ständig „nein danke“ sagend durch die Gassen zu laufen. Unser erster richtiger Stopp war der Karnak-Tempel. Uns hat ein Archäologe („Aladin“) auf Deutsch viele Informationen über die Sehenswürdigkeiten auf der gesamten Tour geliefert. Anschließend ging es zum Mittagessen in ein Restaurant mit Buffet. Nach dem Essen überquerten wir den Nil mit einem Boot, was extra bezahlt werden musste (1,50€/Person). Der nächste Stopp war das Tal der Könige, wo wir in drei Grabstätten von Ramses II, III und IX waren. Man hätte ebenfalls gegen Aufpreis die Grabstätte von u.a. Tutanchamun besichtigen können. Da dieses Grab laut unserem Reiseleiter aber genauso aussieht wie die anderen Gräber, haben wir dieses nicht mehr besichtigt. Weiter ging der Ausflug mit dem Besuch von Alabastersteinhauern. Hier wurde uns gezeigt wie aus Alabaster Figuren, Schalen und Vasen hergestellt werden. Daraufhin waren wir bei dem Tempel von Hatschepsut. Abschließend gab es noch einen Halt bei den Memnonkolossen. Insgesamt war der Ausflug sehr schön! Besonders die deutschsprachige Reiseleitung und der deutschsprachige Archäologe haben wesentlich dazu beigetragen, dass wir so viele positive Eindrücke gewinnen konnten. Trotz der langen Fahrt und der Hitze in der Wüste Ägyptens, ist der Ausflug definitiv empfehlenswert!

L'excursion est...

L'excursion est intéressante. Bien que fort sympathique, notre guide nous a fait payer 30€ en plus pour la visite de l'île des bananes qui n'a absolument aucun intérêt. Cela nous a un peu déçues et nous a laissé le sentiment "d'arnaque". Sinon, la traversée du Nil d'une rive à l'autre était plaisant.

Heel goed georganiseerd

Je wordt vantevoren goed ingelicht met een Appje en de bus waarin je wordt opgehaald was prima. (Ik heb korte benen ;)) We hadden een kleine groep (8 man ofzo?), wat heel fijn was! De reisleider kwam pas in de bus in Luxor zelf. Wij hadden Mo en onze groep heette Ramses, zijn Engels was top en zijn kennis over alles wat hij vertelde was echt geweldig! Het enige minpuntje was dat de dag gewoon te kort was. ;) De vallei is wel een dagtour op zich waard.. Teveel te zien voor de tijd die je hebt. Tijdens de trip moet je nog wel de tickets voor de Karnak tempel, Vallei der Koningen en de tempel van Hatshepsut betalen, dit zijn gewone prijzen. We wilden nog fooi geven op het eind, alleen was hij toen al vertrokken? Dat was een beetje maf. Verder waren we echt super tevreden!

Luxor è favolosa

Ci siamo alzati presto e poi andati a prendere gli altri partecipanti nei vari hotel, quindi la prima mezz'ora persa coi pik-up. Luxor splendida, guida ottima, luoghi visitati eccelsi. Al ritorno hanno riaccompagnato tutti gli altri e noi per ultimi, persa altra mezz'ora. troo che potrebbere fare il giro come all'andata, così chi si è dovuto alzare per primo sia riaccompagnato per primo!
