90-Minute Dolphin and Nature Tour of Hilton Head

Great time for a solo traveler!

Had a great time on this 90 minute eco tour, with Sebastian. He was very knowledgeable about the local environment and ecosystem. He made sure that we were comfortable, had our questions answered, and explained the wildlife we were witnessing. As a first time Hilton Head visitor, I was pleased to arrange this boat tour and learn about the unique qualities of this area. Highly recommend to others. Thanks!

Amazing Experience

We booked a private tour so we could take our furbaby. Our Captain, Bayard, was very friendly and knowledgeable and knew exactly where to go to see the dolphins. The views were amazing. We had a wonderful time.

Great Experience

Our tour left right on time, and we had Captain Tim. Tim was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He stopped for us to see wildlife and to tell us about them, and he also showed us some sights from the water, such as the house that was 30% designed by Frank Lloyd Wright before he died. My partner has some mobility issues, but Tim was helpful in accommodating her needs. Bottled water was also provided on the tour. By the time the tour was supposed to be over, we hadn't yet seen any dolphins. Tim asked if it was okay to extend our tour a bit, then we were able to find dolphins in two locations. It was a great excursion, and Tim was an amazing host.

Enjoyable Family Experience

Our captain was not only knowledgeable about navigating the waterways of the Broad River but also educated in many species of its marine life. In spite of Mother Nature, clouds and drizzle, Captain Lauren found us a family of Dolphins. Thanks for sharing your experience and stories with us. Captain Dean Hager took our group of 8 friends out on a 90 minute dolphin and nature cruise. It was so much fun. He was incredibly knowledgeable about HH, the surrounding islands, and all of the nature and wildlife in between. It was the perfect mixture of breezy, speedy cruising and slowing down to take in the scenery. And of course, lots of dolphin sightings. Would highly recommend booking with Captain Dean and even as locals, we plan on booking again!

Great cruise!

CaptIn Dean Hager was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and spotted a lot of birds and dolphin for us to see. The tour included some marsh creeks as well as more open water on the Calibogue Sound. We also made a stop at Cage Island and enjoyed the serene setting.

Byron was a great captain! He taught us so much about the wildlife and the ecosystem. Seeing the dolphins was awesome and we had a great time.

Great morning!

We really enjoyed starting off our day with a morning boat ride with many dolphins! Dean did a fantastic job of telling us local tips, facts, and showing us the nature. Highly recommend!

Captain Dean’s dolphin adventures

Me and my girls had a great time. Captain Dean was awesome. In his engaging and comical way, he educated everyone on the boat on the local wildlife and see life. We saw dolphins, many species of new birds, and learned a lot about the oyster rich waters.

We had an amazing and very informative dolphin cruise with Captain Dean H . He was very enthusiastic about his job and it shows. We were very pleased with our trip and Captain & had lots of fun. We will be back & highly recommend this company.

Wonderful tour beautiful scenery and wildlife

There was a blue heron that flew down right into the water for a fish! Our captain had a wealth of information and great humor!

Amazing Tour!!

The beachcombing cruise and dolphin tour we booked with Outside was absolutely worth going. Captain Dean did an amazing job as our guide. Our two girls had so much fun seeing all the dolphins and searching for shells/wildlife on the “vanishing island”. We saw and found so many cool things. I would recommend it to any family visiting the Hilton Head area. It was awesome!!

Tour was amazing, honestly didn't expect to see any dolphins and was pleasantly surprised how many we saw. The views were great and the tour guide Kelly did an awesome job.

Wonderful Tour Guide

Our tour guide, Doreen, was unbelievable! She was knowledgeable, personable and gave us a in-depth perspective! We learned about the island, the dolphins and the ecosystem. Would definitely recommend! Memorable experience with a great tour guide!

Beautiful nature, exciting ride and educational!

My husband and I both really enjoyed our trip! Captain Andrew did a great job of getting us close to the dolphins and was quite informative about the history of the area and its people. He gave a wonderful explanation of the ecology of this beautiful area!

Fabulous vacation outing

Last minute booking was fabulous. 90 minute dolphin cruise during sunset was great fro adults, teens & youngins. The dolphins out in quite a show and the boat was spectacular.

Fun with family

Love this trip. We took our family and grandkids who were 8 and 12. They lived vanishing island and saw lots of sea creatures as well as pods of dolphins.

A must do activity

Captain Dan was so knowledgeable informative and fun. Can’t miss this this boat ride. Learned so much Hilton head history, dolphin history and saw stunning dolphins jumping out of the water

Awesome trip

We took the dolphin eco tour with Captain Pippi on a lovely Saturday morning. It was AWESOME! First, we saw several dolphins up close. It was amazing. Second, I cannot say enough good things about our Captain. Pippi kept us all engaged, having fun and learning about the beautiful low country salt marsh environment. Thanks, Outside and Capt. Pippi!

Height of our Vacation

After days of pool to beach to hotel room activity, we signed up for an Outdoor HH Dolphin Tour. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip! Pippi, our captain, was also like a historian. We saw dozens of dolphins in action and took in the low country coastline up close

Perfect family outing

Dan did a wonderful job on our private, 90 minute, dolphin tour. He was kind and had lots of great information for us!

Good for those who like calm waters.

This was a nice paced tour on calm waters. We saw plenty of dolphins and some interesting points of interest. The Captain Ted and Mate Rick were very friendly and informative.

Excellent tour of Broad Creek, saw many dolphin & native birds. Captain Caleb was very knowledgeable about the waterways and habitats. He made this tour special by sharing fun facts about the area. Highly Recommend! Thank You!

Best boat tour with Captain Dan

Had a great eco boat tour with captain Dan! He was super friendly, funny and kind to the children (even picked out a pink life vest to match my daughters outfit). Captain Dan was super knowledgeable about the area and made sure our boat ride was fun and safe. Bonus- we saw so many dolphins and they were swimming super close to the boat! Definitely recommend the tours with Outside! If we are able to visit again, we will be checking out some of the other tours they offer!

Dolphins with Dan

We had the best time on our dolphin tour! We had Captain Dan and he was a spectacular guide and captain! The ride was very pleasant and we got to see a ton of dolphins! We also got a lot of history of the island. It’s beautiful out here! We felt very safe and well taken care of by Dan and we would 💯 recommend this tour and this company!

King Triton also known as Captain Caleb!!!!

Carlie and I came out from Denver. This was the highlight of our trip. Captain Caleb made our trip to Hilton Head. Everything was perfect from Outside Hilton Head. The bought was awesome. So much better then the cheesy dolphin boats you see all over the place. Caleb was the man. His knowledge of the island was incredible. He was super kind and made the trip feel like a true adventure. We just wanted a way to waste a couple hours, but ended up having the best time of our trip. We will defiantly be back, but only with Captain Caleb. PS!!! You can bring your own beer. Go to the nice little gift shop, load a cheap collapsable cooler, and fill your cooler with white claws and beers (CANS ONLY) and enjoy a trip of a lifetime. We will be back. Ahoy Matey!!!! Thank you Outside! We are in hospitality and this was above and beyond. Keep it up! Pete and Carlie!!!

Disappointed for the price

Captain was very nice and informative, was kind of let down for the cost of the tour and the distance that is traveled. Due to the highly traveled area of boats there we only seen one maybe two dolphins. That really could have been the same dolphin both times. Won’t book again with company due to price vs what we got. Walked away disappointed. Only fun thing the kids mentioned they liked is when the captain speed up the boat a few times. :(

Nice and Informative Tour

We enjoyed our dolphin eco-tour. Joe (our captain) was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the history and ecosystem of Hilton Island. We highly recommend him.

Well worth it !

Captain Joe was professional and informative....perhaps so from his career as an educator. We really appreciated that he focused on the educational element and didn't pretend to be an entertainer. Covered a lot of water and a lot of information. Definitely recommend this tour and Captain Joe !!

Amazing!

Captain Dan was AWESOME! Hands down the favorite part of our trip to Hilton Head! He was so knowledgeable and fun to hang out with for a few hours and made sure we saw some dolphins too!
