Haifa Port Shore Excursion: Nazareth and Sea of Galilee Day Tour from Haifa Port

First Class response to a difficult situation. Totally Recommended

We were unfortunate enough to be in Israel when the Hamas attack took place. We had just boarded our BeinHarim Tour bus and were headed for our first stop when the guide received the telephone call and we had to abandon the tour and be taken back to our Cruise Ship. BeinHarim were top class throughout. They got us back safely and then, as we had booked direct through them, processed full refunds for us for both this tour and the one we had booked two days later to Jerusalem from Ashdod. The refunds were back on my card within 3 days. I will certainly use BeinHarim again when I return to Israel to complete the tours I was unable to take this time around. First Class Customer Service

Moment of clarity

Swimming in the river Jordan was a high light for me also visiting all the places that Jesus performed his miracles was a seminal moment for me, it give me great pause as I reflected on where I was and what was before my eyes. Jonathan our tour guide he was very knowledgeable, accommodating & multi-lingual, he was patient with our friend who is not very mobile but this trip meant so much to her and he helped her fulfill her dream. So a big Kudos to him. Will definitely recommend this tour to anyone

Excellent trip

This tour was so nice. Our tour guide Jonathan was so informative, kind and smart in organising the time to cover all the mentioned locations in this tour. We enjoyed it and recommended

Too Many People on the Tour

Our tour ended up wasting an entire hour by turning the bus around to get a few people who were supposed to be meeting us by the ship, but never showed up! A few minutes of "courtesy waiting is ok and expected when a cruise ship unloads passengers but the fact that we turned around, yet never got the people wasted everyones time! We also spent a lots of time in a gift shop... Not needed. The visit to Yardenit ended up being very long as several people ended up getting babtized in the Jordan river. The worst of the tour was that we went to visit a "kibbuts" to have lunch. The price was 25euros per person and not even anything special. We did not eat. Instead, waited again for other people. A long day with lots of walking and waiting around. You will see many holy sites, but I think a mini bus tour option would be better. Too many people on the tour.

Jonathan the best tour guide

Jonathan was the tour guide on July 20Th of 2023. We were very satisfied of how he did the tour. My name is Esther we were like 20 people and he explained and was very knowledgeable on the history. Gracias Jonathan

Amazing!

the tour was amazing Dima was extremely knowledgeable and gave us very detailed information about every single place, he was patient and did the extra mile for the people on the tour, I highly recommend the tour with you guys! Very grateful for the experience

Beware of lunch.

This trip was super informative and our guide Thelma was amazing. The only complaint noted is that when I booked the excursions it said lunch wasn’t included with no other inform proved. I assumed we would be in an area where we would have our own time to eat (given it was an 8hr excursion). Instead, we were all taken to a reception hall and were forced to purchase a meal at 25 euro per head. There was no other options as you were out in the middle of nowhere. This should definitely have been disclosed up front as me and my family of 4 had budgeted half that price for lunch. Not cool at all and felt like a scam.

The trip was canceled due to geopolitical conflict in Israel. I’m surprised that the firm sending this request did not know this critical information prior to sending.

Historic North Isreal Tour from Cruise Ship

My family (4 of us) took this tour from the Haifa Cruise terminal. Pickup was smooth given we had been in Ashdod the previous day and had already cleared customs. Our guide (Saar) was very knowledgeable and kept us very informed throughout the whole day. We visited all the historic sites in the North of Isreal which was a very eye opening experience.

Tour Guide with heavy accent.

The tour guide was very hard to understand he had a very heavy accent. He took us to a restaurant for lunch that would of costed us $25pp no other items to order, we left after they told us price and found a restaurant around the corner for half the price. Overall tour was good.

Alona in Nazareth and sea of Galilee

Very excellent guide and very knowledgeable . Immensely enjoyed our stay there even though short because it was a cruise excursion. Highly recommended.

Life changing experience

Alina made all the historical biblical sites that we visited come alive with her stories. She was knowledgeable and passionate. Dean was a great driver. It was a wonderful day we won’t forget.

The best tour ever !

Our friends used Bein Harim for a shore excursion and so when we took a similar cruise we booked with them too. Good move. They are professional and organized and the bus moved off quickly to Nazareth (just half an hour’s drive). Our guide Omri was incredibly knowledgeable and was happy to answer endless questions about Christian history and the architecture of the Basilica. We drove onto the Galilee, stopping for a group lunch (the food wasn’t bad, although you aren’t obliged to eat there) then a tour of the area, with time at the Loaves and Fishes Church, St. Peter’s, and the Mount of Beatitudes. Finally, we were taken to Yardenit, where we watched people being baptized in the Jordan river. This is a fairly-priced tour and the company is very pleasant to deal with. We returned in good time and I am glad I took my friend’s recommendation.

Try a different vendor.

Expensive dirty lunch, no options. Shopping was at a “tourist store”, not the street market. Guide was too sarcastic, not funny.

Good tour if different guide!

Different tour guide needed! I want to believe Yosef (Saint Joseph as he introduced himself) meant well and was trying to be funny but it was not. He talked about his personal trips, gave very little info about what we were seeing - AND we had no radio/earpieces with a group of 23! It is impossible to hear on busy streets with group strung out. Leaving Nazareth he said he was going to sing for us and played “let it be” by the Beatles then “just like a virgin” by Madonna. Very poor taste leaving Nazareth! At end of trip he asked if we felt we had been “touched by Jesus” or “touched by St Peter”. I don’t care what the tour guide believes - but respect my beliefs. I felt mocked.

It was a beautiful day! We saw the old Nazareth ruins and relaxed by the Sea of Galilee. Our guide was excellent.

Almost perfect excursion

Our guide Ofir was amazing! He was very knowledgeable. Ofir made the excursion one of the best. The port pick up was super easy. The only downside was the lunch stop. We were not informed that you must pay in cash. Every meal option was $25. This left us borrowing money from friends. Skip the lunch and go into the next door mart. They sell great flatbread.

Humbling, moving, unbelievable!

Our guide, Dortic (I'm sure I spelled her name wrong! :-)) was great. Passionate, knowledgeable and very good communicator! She brought the sites to life.

Honest and Considerate Tour Operator

We missed the trip due to 3 hours delay of our cruise ship arriving at the Haifa port, then another 3 hours delay to clear Israel customs (major jewish holiday). We called Bein Harim from the port and they recorded us as "no show", advising us to request a refund from TripAdvisor. After returning from the cruise trip and contacting TripAdvisor, Bein Harim and TripAdvisor happily refunded us.

A great trip but with a major concern

Our guide Sandros was marvellous and took us on a private tour around the Sea of Galilee, Capernum, The Mount of the Beatitudes and the the Nazareth Village experience BUT there is a major concern ! If you are taking a private tour the Haifa Port Authority would not let our minivan in to the port to pick us up or leave us back. As a result we had to take the shuttle to a hotel and on our return pick up a shuttle at the port gate. Some taxi were allowed entrance, others were not. It was all very confusing and tarnished our trip.

Great excursions from Haifa and Ashdod Port!

My wife and I have just returned from a Mediterranean and Israel cruise where we enjoyed this excursion from Haifa. It was outstanding in every way. Our tour guide was great, very knowlodgable. We went on 3 excursions with this company and all of them were excellenet! Thank you!

Excellent Tour Guide and Driver

The Jordan River was lush and peaceful. Tour guide had a wealth of knowledge and kept things moving. We got to have lunch at a kibbutz. Enjoyed our small group. Great tour experience!! Thanks Alona!

Worst tour so far.

Guide was a nice person but lacked any organizational skills, and very poor English. At one stop, she stated to meet at a certain time, then she was ten minutes late, so several tourists panicked and left the area. They had to be tracked down causing a half hour delay the rest of the day. Her very poor English caused a lack of understanding the historical details of sights we visited.

Amazing

Standing in the Capernaum Synagogue where the son God Jesus, taught the word of God. This tour was an amazing adventure.

Excellent trip to the Holy Land

We had the most incredible tour of Nazareth, Capernaum, The Sea of Galilee, and Haifa with our wonderful tour guide, Omry. He was absolutely the best- so knowledgeable, respectful, and captivating. The tour lasted all day and we were taken to some of the most beautiful and historical places in Israel. I highly recommend this tour to anyone. Wonderful experience.

The most uneducated narcissistic guide I have ever witnessed!

The guide Yousef was so self focused and uneducated in the tour we felt like it was his BS show instead of wonderful tour it should be. He was easily the most narcissistic person I have ever witnessed. He told us he directed the sun and was a divine saint with demonic tendencies. For starters, the tour was late by 25 minutes because Yousef was getting his picture taken by passengers when everyone was waiting for him. He lied to the bus no less than 20 times. Our first stop was at his souvenir shop for 75 minutes so he could make his commission on the riders instead of taking us on time to where we paid to be. He would google facts after our stop to tell us whatever he could look up. We were taken to lunch at 2:52pm on a tour that was supposed to end at 5. The lunch spot was preselected communal with a Children’s school and trailer park. We were told we only had one option for food instead of all of the thousands of food options we drove by. It was a shady buffet that paid Yousef and co under the table for taking us there. The sites were awesome, but the guide and tour company was terrible. Please don’t take them. Go with someone who cares.

Not so good

A knowledgable guide who focuses on talking about the place being visited rather than the guide himself. He was sporadic with actual info about the places visited in Haifa, had no sense of time as he didnot manage the group at all, didnt plan out how long we were stopping for at any stop, took us all to a lunch place when hardly anyone wanted to eat. Need a more aware and personable guide

Wonderful Your!

Our guide Omry was just excellent! Spoke very clear fluent English and very well educated in both Jewish and Christian religions and did a great job of explaining details about Jewish life and traditions back in the time if Jesus. The small group of 12 that we had made this excursion more pleasant as well. Would highly recommend our guide Omry and would book this tour again.

We see Nazareth and...

We see Nazareth and Galile of sea and we did not see the overlook church top of the mountain That morning bus show up late and didn’t leave the gate at 9:15 and it was waste of time that people came late not 8:00 on time I paid for this tour and came here long way from USA once a lifetime

Our trip to the Holy Land

Visiting the River Jordan and going into the River that our Lord Jesus was baptised in our high point. Our most disappointment though was the stress trying to find our Tour guide at the start of the tour. We were not met at the ship and spent almost an hour trying to find the company Bein Harim. The guide herself was excellent. But we would find it difficult to recommend Bein Harim to others.

Unmissable route, fantastic guide

Excellent guide, great knowledge of history and the country. Super interesting route. We had time left over for lunch at a buffet that was nothing special
