They just canceled suddenly during pickup. There was no explanation. We need refund. We don’t know how to get it yet. Just waiting from them now.

Must do trip

We had originally booked a ride for Cat Valley. However, the operator contacted us and asked if we like to switch to Goreme at no additional cost. We were happy we did and the balloon flight was an experience. From pick up, to launch prep, the flight itself, landing and post flight champagne, it was a wonderful trip!

Terrible don't waste your money

Terrible, they don't use the route of the valley. The balloon pass over areas that there is no Cappadocia rocks and far away from famous landscapes. Not recommend. You pay cheap and not see anything. The captain does not explain anything.

Life is wonderful when deal with good people.

Excellent service reasonable price. The pilot and the staff are very professional and friendly. If I have to try it again I will not look for other balloon providers.

Fun flight

Little rocky to start as wrong hotel was on reservation. After that we had a great time. The formations are not like anything every seen before.

Amazing

Experience was so much fun, mind blowing. Definitely worth the money, driver was very rude he was shouting at me which made me feel uncomfortable. Other than that, it was an excellent experience.

Once in a lifetime experience

The balloon flight was not the one we booked as it was cancelled because only 2 people booked so it was changed from capacity of 16-18 to up to 28 capacity I didn’t feel like it was an upgrade as informed by the tour company however I was relieved to do the balloon flight as most got cancelled due to bad weather The crewe and driver who took us to and from the balloon flight do an amazing job from start to finish - it’s incredible how such a feat like this is organised so well The views were amazing - loved it all but I was disappointed that I didn’t get to do the cat valley which I thought I paid extra for A fantastic experience

Cappadocia Balloon - Excellent Service

Excellent service, excellent customer service with all the security you can find anywhere else for half the price the hotel would sell it to you, SUPERB service!

Memorable experience

If you visit Cappadocia this is a must do activity. We stayed at Goreme and the tour operator was kind enough to pick and drop us at the hotel. Bear in mind that everyone we inquired about the tour told us almost twice the charge compared to this Viator deal and we were happy to save. The pilot was well trained and flew the balloon well giving us views of the valley. I would recommend this tour.

Great experience seeing Sunrise whilst up in the balloon.

Balloon ride was easy to book & we got informed of what the pick up time will, etc thrue the website messenger. Something to be aware of - not that it bothered us. This balloon ride was in CAT valley which is slightly further away from the main place GOREME where many balloons take off. Hence its CHEAPER (half-price) to do it in CAR Valley but takes 50-60mins drive. That day in CAT valley there were only 5 balloons while we could see the cluster of balloons at a distant in GOREME area. Everything else was same as we have few fellow passengers who went to GOREME so we compared notes. We had smaller basket 18 people while GOREME balloons were typically 28-30 people baskets.

This tour is for a great...

This tour is for a great price. It is 40 mins away from cappadocia center over a valley with beautiful views. The trip is completed early, so we can return early abd take pics at the main cappodicia Ballon fest after that.

Cat Valley is not the place to be to do Hot Air Ballooning. Goreme is the place to be.

The flight lasted 45 mins long, the captain did not speak fluent English, and hence did not understand my conversation, which is imperative if you ask a tourist.

Breathtaking and stunning views.

It was a great experience, and I would highly recommend it. It's around the Cat Valley, so beware; it won't be around Goreme's famous hot air balloon picture area, but it's worth it. The views and scenes were breathtaking. Crew were really lovely and super informative.

Not worth the money

Nothing I would do again. Not worth the money. Be aware that the valley is in the middle of nowhere, far away from everything, including this fancy images you usually see from hot air balloon flights in Cappadocia, and that there is no interesting landscape. This is a flight you can do in every country as long as there is a bit nature.

Very memorable experience

Very memorable experience, Pick up and drop service torom hotel was great. Got a certificate and celebrated the trip with champagne. You could also get a 360 view video for a small price. Pilot was informative and giving the guide of the area. Only downside was we had only few hot air balloons along with us in Cat valley region but still worth it and enjoyed completely

Hot air balloon fun- a must in Cappadocia…!

The early morning pick up and the drive to the launch site was well run and the flight was extremely professionally and skilfully done- at no stage did anyone feel uncomfortable nor unsafe. It is a must do if in Cappadocia. The pricing was also reasonable.

not the location of hot air balloons

I gave one star just because it’s not in the place you think it is. It’s not the area where it’s full of air balloons. It’s actually in the opposite side and when I went there there was only other hot air balloon. It says in the description thats in in çhat valley and I didn’t know that so I was pretty disappointed. Not their fault or anything btw. I just didn’t know it wasnt gonna be the same. Make sure you don’t book if thats where you want to go. Staff were extremely friendly and nice. picked us the same time they promised and the ride was fun. We had really professional staff and enjoyed non alcoholic champagne at the end.

The organization and performance of the flight was excellent. The minibus came to pick us up at the agreed time, drove us safely to the place where we flew and drove us back home from there. The flight was conducted professionally, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend!

I rate the overall experience is 4. Service starting from driver pickup on time, and the ballon captain was very nice. We had a challenging landing due to sudden weather conditions change but the captain was so nicely handled the situation.

Be careful booking this tour! It’s not Goreme tour

Absolutely disapponted. Before booking pls be aware that the baloon flight is NOT over Goreme main valleys, but over CAT valley which is far away. You will not see other balloons around. Cat valley is more difficult to fly over because of the wind, therefore it dangerous to fly on sunrise, so you won’t see it on the baloon, but on foot while baloon prep. The flight is not bad itself and the staff is nice, but it’s not the real Goreme experience you will probabily look for

Everything was wonderful. The crew was very helpful. No pressure of buying any pics. Would recommend using this company.

Good but…….

The ride was great but keep in mind that if you’re looking to take the pictures flying along with hundreds other balloons, this is not the right one for you. The company flies from a different place where there’s only two balloons and you see the other flying beside each other far in the distance. If you don’t care about that, this is a great company and the ride was amazing.

You have to try once

Had to get up at 4:00 in the morning and the company picked us up with shuttle bus and provided breakfast. It was up to the weather. Our first try fail. Had to go again the second night and we got into the air. Spectacular view of the valley and sunrise. It was US25o pp but worth it.

Great time over Cat Valley

It was an incredible one hour flight at the end of April. Everything was perfectly organized. The view from the balloon was amazing. The pilot very experienced. We definitely recommend this company .

Professional and punctual

Must have experience if you there . The team was very professional and punctual, can’t ask for more . We had some champagne to top it off . The operators even helped us shortlisting places to eat and travel while there

Just what I expected - brilliant

We were picked up by minibus on time at our hotel in Goreme, before a reasonable drive of about 40 minutes to the other side of Nevsehir. It was just getting light as the 4 balloons inflated and me, my wife and teenage son clambered into the slightly cramped basket with about 15 others. Then a very gentle lift-off and a wonderful flight of about an hour. The sights were wonderful: flat-topped hills and distant mountains, a varied agricultural landscape and then a superb dry river valley filled with trees and odd-shaped rock formations complete with abandoned homes that were carved into the rocks. We descended quite low over this valley so we could see everything in detail, before rising again to meet the sun breaking above a few low clouds that had formed after an initially clear sky. We could also see a town below us and a view that spread out many miles in all directions before making our final descent. Our pilot gave us instructions about what to do for the landing but there was just a light bump on landing and the crew kept the basket upright. Then a glass of non-alcoholic champers and a flight certificate while they re-packed everything and a drive back to the hotel just in time for breakfast. For us, this was just perfect. You'll see some reviews disappointed with this trip because they were expecting a massed balloon take-off from the edge of the rose valley just outside Goreme, so make sure you understand what you are buying! We paid a little more than half what you can expect to pay for the Goreme flight. This may be a little less of a spectacle but for me was a well-organised and wonderful experience I will never forget. Finally, we were lucky with the weather: we booked the only day that week that flights went ahead and we knew of people who left before the conditions were right again.

Fantastic adventure

Event was very well organized. Some details were communicated in advance using application chat. We were picked up from the hotel at the exact time. Flight was fantastic. Most loved was low flight, touching grass and flight around fairy chimneys. Champagne ceremony after flight. Very good value for the money spent.

Cat Balloons a complete rip-off!! Avoid at all costs!!!

Avoid Cat Balloons hot air balloon company at all costs!!! We went here as there were no flights out of the normal spot. We were collected at 4.15 and then drove for two hours collecting various guests. Got to the place and I was actually pushed and shoved by the organiser into the basket. We only flew for half an hour even though there was no issue with the weather. The area to see is so small. All you see are two small valleys . The entire experience was not professional at all. At the end they offered cheap strawberry flavoured ‘champagne’ which was sprayed all over us! Then given a pathetic certificate. I got the impression that they were more interested in making money than customer service. We came a really long way for this experience and it was really not worth it. If you can’t go to the normal spot for the hot air balloon ride, rather NOT go than go on this… not worth it at all Also a warning, on the internet this is advertised at 110 Euro but agents take advantage and charge up to 200 Euro!! Watch out for this!

Exactly what you pay for

We got what we paid for , but they can improve a lot. - the operator team hardly understood English - we were the only ballon flying in the area ( a part of the experience is flying with more balloons ) - the tipping request made us felt uncomfortable

Highlight of My Turkey Adventure

This was the experience of a lifetime!! Pilot was amazing. It’s breathtaking from watching the balloons expand and take off to the incredible landing. The visual journey is beyond words!! This is a MUST DO in Cappodocia!!

VERY UNHAPPY

I scheduled a flight for March 30 and a few days later realized the flight was booked for the very next day, so I missed it. I lost a lot of money and was not even given a partial refund. I suggest if you decide to book to check your ticket right away to make sure you were given the date you requested.

Good service but bad luck with weather

The balloon flight operators were prompt and good at providing written communication. The flight location is quite a drive away from where all the other balloon flights depart. Unfortunately we were not authorized to fly due to poor weather while all the other balloon flights in the usual Goreme location were able to takeoff. Maybe we just had bad luck with weather that day. We were promptly dropped back off at our hotel and issued a refund.

Just being in the sky was amazing. I would say they should be in the sky for a longer period of time, 25 min is not enough for a terrific experience.

Floating in the sky

It is perfect to experience what a balloon flight feels like and it is cheap as well! Remember to coat yourself it is quite cold up there!

Good but the landing was not the best.

The experience was good. The staff are friendly, and their communication was organised. However, at the end of the tour while we were landing, the balloon was hit while landing and it took us by surprise. We weren’t informed that we were landing or of the chance of this strong turbulence.

Bad experience chosen by Viator

That company Pegas Balloon is not recommended as the ride short in duration, low attitude in the air, small ride basket, sky viewpoint is not spectacular and not moving around as static in one air spot. Very disappointed. Viator should do the job to choose the satisfaction bolloon operator & money not worth spend.
