Morning Kayaking and Snorkeling Tour

Great experience!

Definitely recommend this activity. I thought it was a great price for all that we did. Nelson our guide was very friendly and was very attentive to our kayaking, making sure everyone was safe. Perfect time amount, not too long of an activity. The free photos were amazing and unexpected! Easy enough location to meet at and as a solo attendee, I didn’t feel awkward at all. Next time I come to Gold Coast I am definitely doing this again!

Just ok

Although I enjoyed the time kayaking, there was nothing that stood out about this kayak adventure. Snorkeling was just ok. Breakfast offered was cold cereal and milk.

Worth It.

Really enjoyed ourselves. The meeting point was easy to find. Our tour guides were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcomed. They provided us with our snorkeling gear, life jacket, kayak, and also a wet bag for our belongings that we wanted to take with us. You have the opportunity to leave stuff on the bus if you would rather not bring it with you. I recommend wearing sunscreen even at 7:30 in the morning, as we ended up with a little sunburn. Right off the beach, we were greeted with the view of a dolphin. No issues with kayaking to the island, but it was a little more work as I was the only one able to paddle since my daughter was too young to assist. Once we reached the shore, it was about a 5 to 10 minute walk, over to the other side, bring some shoes as there are branches sticking out of the sand. In the end, we didn't end off snorkeling as my daughter didn't like the mask, but we got to feed the fish and that was an entirely unique experience as you could feel them swim by and brush against your legs. The others in our group saw different fish while out snorkeling. Please keep in mind, the water is darker and not as clear as it would be if you were snorkeling closer to the Great Barrier Reef or Fiji. They provided us with a light breakfast of cereal and biscuits, which was great as I have been on other tours and nothing was included, especially at this price. We also got to see a mother duck with her ducklings out and about. On the way back, the wind picked up a little, but it was still easy to get back and there was clear direction on which way to go. Had a great time and really recommend this tour.

Great experience the guide charismatic and entertaining. Unfortunately the price of photos was $40 , to expensive and unable to view as water mark all over them

Morning dolphin kayaking and snorkeling tour

Totally enjoyed the whole tour. Our guide was great and really friendly. Kayaking was so much fun over calm waters and we really loved snorkeling amongst some pretty amazing and colourful fish. It was also just the right length of time at 2 - 2.5 hours. 100% recommend this tour to everyone. Jo D.

Never will book again with these people

We booked a tour with these people and had to pay in advance. This guy Steve texted me a day before the tour and said it’s going to be cancelled due to bad weather. Told me to go on the tour another day and I said I can’t because I fly back home a day after the tour. I had to contact him to refund my money, no reply. Sent him a text and he ignored it. Then I had to chase the booking company and they said that he didn’t tell them he cancelled it so they can’t do anything. Still chasing my money. I paid for a service that you did not provide! If you cancel a tour, then refund peoples money, simple. Don’t book with these people, use another company

Just do it!

Had a blast with the family. Plenty of fish to snorkel with and even saw a wild wallabie. The views are amazing and the guide Steve is the best!

Be prepared for it to be cancelled

We were only told the night before that the activity got cancelled. Was really looking forward to it, even prepared our gear well for it. We actually received an email a few days beforehand to inform us that the activity is confirmed and good to go. Just be prepared to be disappointed last minute, at your own risk.

We took our 7 year old with no prior kayaking experience. The 3 person kayak made the trip easy and enjoyable.

Great day, lovely hosts worth doing!! Convenient pick up from your hotel and drop off. The snorkeling was good and you can see some nice fish. Suitable for all skill levels.

Value for money

Anyone looking for a great half day trip adventure won’t be disappointed. Leisurely kayak over to the island was fun. Was pleasantly surprised by the variety of fish we saw when snorkelling. Great value and the guides were very thorough and made it enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Stradbroke Island Kayaking Tour

We are locals who attended this tour yesterday and what an incredible experience, Australian Kayaking Tours were very knowledgeable and added some great humour to the tour. It was so relaxing out on the water, we got to snorkel and be surrounded by so many fish and the view at Stradbroke Island was breathtaking. I would highly recommend this company for your kayaking experiences, great value for money and you will not be disappointed.

Great day out!

Our day our with Steven was a really great experience. We were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves and were treated to Steven’s local knowledge of food, entertainment and most importantly the actual kayaking and local wildlife. Snapped some great pics of us on his drone. Would definitely recommend this local business.

A great outing

Steve was a great host. We were ecstatic to see dolphins. The snorkelling was pretty good. Steve was very informative about local wildlife.

Funtastic kayak tour GC

This tour is definitely a MUST DO activity when on the GC. Our guide Steve was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Everything was safe and comfortable and paddling was relaxed and enjoyable. We saw a dolphin, that was awesome. You do not need to be an Olympic athlete, as a beginner I was able to keep up with no trouble. Lisa

Had a great time paddling across to Wavebreak Island. Short walk across the island to a great little spot for some snorkelling with plenty of fish to see. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

Kayaking,snorkling day

This whole trip was a great day out i would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something to do with family or friends my 14 year old daughter loved it,the fish came right up to us when we snorkeled,and steven our guide was a great bloke with extensive knowledge of the area and waterways making us feel safe at all times and it was also a great workout and a couple of dolphins popped in for a quick look,very cool.

Great day on the water

We had a great time and would definitely use this company again. We had a call from the operator who had some weather concerns, so our tour was moved a day forward. Consequently one of our family members were unable to make it so that part was refunded without issue on the day. The location for the snorkelling was great with clear water and lots of fish to see (we didn't see any dolphins, maybe due to the weather conditions). The kayaks were easy to use and comfortable for novices.

Great half day on the Gold Coast waterways

Our guide Nick was great, the right amount of involvement with the small group of 4. The snorkelling at wave break island was not anything special. I recommend Tangalooma wrecks as being much better. Enjoyed seeing South Stradbroke for the first time. Relaxing and.not strenuous.

Great

The tour guys were amazing and really helpful. They shared their knowledge of the area and really went out of their way to make sure you were having a good time. My partner got sick and they managed to do what they could on a remote island to get help for him to get back to shore. They were professionals and my group had a great time.

Best part of our holiday

The two guys who lead the tour were great and all of the stops were to expectation. We got to see some dolphins at the start of the day and none of the stops felt rushed. Very well worth the trip!

Fantastic fun filled tour

This was our first time kayaking and it was overall a great experience. I am always a clumsy person however Nick our guide was fantastic very patient and mindful of our safety , we could not have asked for a better guide.

A fun filled day

Had a fantastic day on, off and in the water with Australian Kayaking Adventures today. At our breakfast and snorkelling spot on the back of Wave Break Island, we were lucky enough to see some dolphins up close, whilst they chased and caught fish for their own breakfast. After a short but hard paddle to South Stradbroke, we walked across the island to the beach on the ocean side and went for a swim and bodysurf. On the paddle back we saw another small pod of about 5 dolphins who stayed close by and frolicked around us.

Fantastic morning kayaking/snorkeling!

Early morning start was a beautiful way to see the Gold Coast. Very professional tour guides who were both very knowledgeable of the local area. Great way to spend a morning with our 13 year old son, would highly recommend this or the sunset tour with Australian Kayaking Adventures.

Fantastic Day

Started off getting privately picked up by Steve, who was so friendly. We then joined the rest of the team by the beach, and were well informed, felt very safe and most importantly, had heaps of fun. Then a private ride home with a stop for delicious fish and chips. Great day, amazing people and company, can’t wait to do another trip!

Great experience

We just did this yesterday and had a fantastic time. Our guide Nick was brilliant, the organisation, timing and equipment were all spot on. It starts with kayaking which was fun and both easier and harder than expected. Saw a dolphin swimming and jumping on the way to island. Walked across the island to have breakfast which Nick had to carry with him. Plenty to eat but don't go expecting great food. Not a problem for us but just to be aware. After breakfast more kayaking to reach next stop for snorkelling. We've done snorkelling with soooo many other operators and have always been disappointed in quality of masks and snorkels but these were excellent. Saw heaps of fish and created my own little feeding frenzy (including a tiny little bite on my hand) when we fed them (food was not disgusting). Weather was amazing and currents were kind to us. This trip was excellent value for money and we would totally recommend it to anyone with no health issues.

BEST DAY EVER!

BEST DAY EVER ever with Australian Kayaking Adventures! Highly recommend. Nick was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He was very attuned to the ocean and gave us good tips so we got the best out of our experience. Such an amazing feeling gliding over the water in the kayaks and checking out the pelicans, dolphins, and sting-rays. And the snorkelling was epic - we saw almost a dozen different types of fish! And because the tour provides fish food we had schools of them right up at our goggles. Add in a delicious breakfast on a tall sand dune overlooking some mad surf - perfection. Book the Half Day Dolphin and Stradbroke Island Tour - you won't be disappointed.

Excellent tour for a fun activity.

It was a terrific experience for first timers and a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Nick was very polite, informative and made the experience very enjoyable! It was great the tour was able to pick us up and drop us back at our Surfers Paradise hotel. It was excellent to see many fish while snorkelling. They even supplied a dry bag to use when kayaking to allow us to bring a few items along, such as our phone, a towel and sunscreen. I highly recommend you bring a hat to wear while kayaking and sunglasses are a great idea too. The complimentary breakfast was very enjoyable after our first kayaking part of the trip.

Amazing and relaxing morning

Had a great time on our kyacking tour this morning. Our guide was very friendly and great to have a chat with. We saw plenty of wildlife while snorkelling and some dolphins on the surface. Definitely recommend this for anyone who enjoys the outdoors with friends or family

Amazing, so worth it!

My partner and I loved this experience. The kayaking was great, but we absolutely loved the snorkelling. Our tour guide was amazing and even let us have a go at feeding the fish. We also fell off our kayak and Nick helped us to get back up and continue on our tour. Genuinely the nicest guy ever. Breakfast was provided and lots of information about the island too. Would 100% recommend and do it again 😊

Great family fun

Friendly, experienced staff. Excellent tuition and relaxed pace. A great family adventure. We were collected from our hotel and spent a relaxing morning learning how to paddle a kayak and snorkel. We were definitely tired but loved every minute of our experience. We would definitely do this again.

The duo brothers steal the day

Wonderful experience with two of the most friendly tour guides you will ever find. The duo Nick and Mik were extremely approachable and informative, all 9 of us really enjoyed our time on the tour. Though some of us were not kayak experts, Nick and Mik gave us a hand, literally by dragging our kayaks along the shore due to the strong tides on the day. The snorkelling was good, not great due to the cold waters and mirky water but that just comes down to luck as the wind plays a bit part on the visibility of sealife. Although we did see plenty of fish, and even some dolphins, i would highly recommend choosing a less windy day. But altogether, the experience was made memorable because of Nick and Mik, the best duo in the Gold Coast. Would love to go back. Cheers boys

A must do

A great day out. Steve's knowledge of the environment, wildlife and marine life was vast. We were beginner kayakers but that didnt matter. The highlight of the morning was a close encounter with a dolphin and it's calf. It was amazing. I haven't stopped talking about it. Highly recommend this terrific experience when visiting the Gold Coast. Thanks Steve.

fanitastic day

Fantastic day out. My 13yrold niece had never really been kayaking before and has never been snorkeling, our guides walked her thru everything, very knowledgeable.

Very enjoyable morning, super friendly guid ...highly recommended , will personaly do again for sure.

Highlight was a pod of dolphins swimming around, but first time at kayak found it so relaxing completely enjoyex it.
