Awesome staff made sure we were comfortable and safe the whole time. Instructors were knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We had so much fun.

Some great fun!

My wife and I really enjoyed this afternoon. Our instructors were awesome and did everything possible to make sure we felt both safe and comfortable. Once we were in the water and attempting to stand on our boards, they were very observant and offered constructive criticism as needed. Their support was both noted and appreciated. We had a lot of fun! Our only issue with this booking was the photographs after. We felt they were over priced and it was difficult to ascertain what the photos looked like before purchasing. It would’ve been nice if the company had some package offers as opposed to cost per picture. Overall a good experience that was a little tainted by photograph constraints.

Definitely would recommend

The instructors are friendly and professional. We managed to learn how to catch a white wash by ourselves at the end of the lesson which is highly satisfying and rewarding.

MUST-DO in Surfers Paradise

One of the best experiences I have made while solo travelling through Australia! It was all about safety and having fun and the introduction was really good! And best: I had an issue with the purchase of the photos form the surf lesson and the customer service was amazing and helped me! Thank you so much for this experience and memories - will defo see you again!

Had a blast!

We had a great time! The instructors gave clear instructions and were patient with beginners. We were in the water and trying things out on our own very quickly. Had an absolute blast and drank the salt water to prove it!

Amazing Surf trip

Myself and my friends had an amazing time with the team, The staff were so patient with us as it was our first time. We booked through a travel group and the whole experience was flawless.

2 hour beginners surf lesson!

Today I had a 2 hour beginner surf lesson with the get wet surf school team. I got picked up from my accommodation straight to where where they are based & dropped off again after our lesson. It was one of the best experiences av had so far arriving in Australia! The instructors explained everything so clear like the parts of the board, how your stance should be and the importance of how to carry your board from the beach into the water from the tail, everything was perfectly demonstrated and made us all feel so comfortable before even going in the water. Then when we got to practice getting on the board and standing up catching some waves trying to go all the way back to the shore they were so patient and helpful. The entire session was just full of positive energy & happiness, I highly recommend this team to anyone who is looking to learn how to surf, such a friendly team and really nice environment! Perfect location for all levels of surfing, I will definitely be back in the near future!

The best time trying to catch some waves! Jason and Emilo were the best instructors, they made the lesson super super enjoyable; made me laugh loads. We started off practicing on land and then took to the ocean. I definitely still have to work on my surfing skills and will definitely be booking in another session with Get Wet Surf School (hopefully I can work on my balance and stand up for longer next time aha). Highly recommend the whole experience!!

Great experience in the GC!!

I was little bit nervous because it was my first time to try surfing after coming to Australia. But it was so fun! Amazing place and good vibes instructors!! I want to go soon:) 英語が100%理解できるレベルではないので少し緊張していましたが、とても楽しいレッスンでインストラクターやスタッフ皆とても素敵でした:) ロケーションも良くて、ぜひまた行きたいです！

Best surfing school in the GC

It was so fun! My instructor gave us Akon the theory and practical knowledge to be able to catch waves. I felt safe during the whole session even if the waves were quite tough. It was amazing!

The best!!

100% would recommend!! Jason was a chill ass babe that taught us exactly how to catch a wave. Conditions at this time of year are beautiful and couldn’t think of a better way to start my day! P.s don’t wanna flex but we could all go pro now 😉

Great experience and amazing teacher. The weather was good and the instructor knew where to surf. The activity involved learning some basics on the land and then, in the ocean.

It was our first surfers experience and our intructor made us very comfortable with it. We felt really confident and safe with his instructions. I most certainly want to surf again after this!

Awesome fun

My two daughters, age 15 & 16, and I had a blast today learning to catch a wave at Surfers Paradise GetWet Surf school! Jason not only made the instructions clear but fun. And he was genuinely encouraging to everyone, each time we got back out for the next wave he gave us feedback in the one before and what we might do to get a better result. It is a work out for sure but so fun… and the hot chocolate and churros that followed ( at a separate business) were well deserved! We will be back! Thanks guys 🏄‍♀️💯👍

Great surf lessons

The lesson was great! Within 2h I already able to stand up on the board and actually catch a few waves. The instructor was very patient and all the people there were super kind. The beach is amazingly beautiful and I would definitely go back!

Absolutely brilliant

Absolutely brilliant staff and support provided. I was not the best surfer AT ALL, however their constant motivation and feedback kept me going for the 2 hours would 100% recommend. All the staff were super friendly and even loved to crack a joke. Great vibe overall. Only flaw was not brilliant amenities there, with sandy changing rooms and cold showers. Only minor and should not prevent you to book with them! Thanks for the great time! Abeer (19/7/22)

So much fun surfing

Great fun, lovely instructors and we all managed to surf which was such a blast. such a terrific uplifting energising activity and honestly all ages and fitness levels can do this. We went for a friends 54th birthday and had the best time. looking forward to our next lesson :)

Great Day Out Surfing

I have never surfed before and under the leadership of the Get Wet Surf School I mastered the basics of surfing. The instructors are very patient and offer a lot of great advice to help you master the sport. I would return and do another lesson. Our family of four attended the Adults and Kids lessons. The staff were very accommodating in helping look after the kids after their surf lesson while the adults were surfing.

Fantastic first time experience!

I stood up and ‘surfed’ so much more than I expected to as a first timer! Our instructors were great at getting us ready on land and then out in the water. They spent time getting us onto waves and then taught us how to catch waves ourselves! A mix of age groups in our lesson and I had an absolute blast! I’m definitely keen to do this again! The Seaway Kiosk is also bonus when you’ve finished your lesson to refuel!

First time Surfing

The coach is excellent.Really good for beginner.Having much fun.I just only use 30 minutes than i can stand on the board.I highly recommend beginner can try this course. 2 hours is enough to let you learn how the practice yourself in the future.

I Stood Up First Lesson!!!!!!

Awesome times and we had a blast learning how to stand up on a board which my close mate and I BOTH did on the first lesson. The instructors are kind, patient and knowledgeable and I appreciated their support they offered for all of the foreign beginners. The instructors took us through the beach safety stuff and that was really helpful too!! Don’t regret not using these guys as they are the best!! Surfs up!!!!

Super fun

Super fun experience. Instructors are very friendly. It is physically demanding. The downloaded PDF document mentioned incorrect meeting place. Hope that can be fixed.

Never had so much fun sucking so badly at something!

I did 3 beginner lessons and had a ball! Was sure that an unathletic, uncoordinated, old bag inching through middle age would not be able to get anywhere on a board. And it sure looked that way on day 1. But the coaches instructed in such a way that I managed to go from face planting every time to catching waves and standing long enough to feel like a hero. Definitely better than being at work for sure

Surfing at the Spit Dog Beach

Sam is a great coach! The Spit Dog Beach is a lovely place to surf!! The surf school provides shuttle bus, which is convenient.

Super surfing lessons

ALL, definitely ALL was amazing. Sam, our instructor, was kind, supportive and very professional. Thanks to him we learn very fast and we had such an amazing experience. Fully motivated to go back for more lessons. VERY recommended.

Best lesson ever

Best surf school we’ve been to yet. The instructors took the time to provide great feedback and help us get more confident. They also took videos of us while we were surfing that we could watch back in the water to see what we could improve on. It was a great 2-hours that flew by. Would definitely recommend.

Loved it and would recommend it!

I had decided to do this with my daughter as a fun activity. Jason was AMAZING, I have very little balancing skill and he was helpful and somehow with his incredible training powers managed to get me to stand on a board. I would add a photo but I was far from glamorous in my form. My daughter was much better then I was, he had her laughing and getting on the board with confidence and she walked away loving this. They suggest that you take water, I too would recommend it, it is more physical then I expected but can be done at your own pace. The team overall were truely wonderful.

Great instructors I took my daughter who was 10, she was a little worried however the staff where fantastic and made her feel very safe. Great holiday activity to get the heart rate up instead of devices. We will be back

Extremely bad

The reason why I rate it 1 star is because I cannot rate 0 star on TripAdvisor, (I rated same on google). I enrolled a 2 hours beginner session this afternoon however I had the worst surfing experience. Firstly, half of the students got stung by jelly fish, but no warning at all from any instructors. The continued the surfing session after the incident happened. Although they provided ice bags afterwards but it really ruined the whole session for the people who got stung. I didn’t expect compensation as this is not controlled by them but their attitude is really bad. Jason, the instructor especially showed him poor attitude to the people who got stung by the jelly fish. As we all went back to their office for a rest. When he went back, the only thing that he focused on is that he requested us to take the boards back to their office, and he even think the stung by Jelly fish is nothing. I can understand that you guys may think it would happen a lot and nothing, but please be reminded that we are all new to the surfing and to the sea. It’s the first time for most of us to be stung by Jelly fish and it does really hurt. Besides the incident today, their teaching quality is also not good for fresh new beginners. It’s highly possible that you won’t learn much from their session. I had a surfing session in New Zealand last year and it was so much better then them. I won’t recommend this school to anyone. Just don’t waste money on them.

Great Experience

Had an absolute blast surfing with Get Wet! Had never been on a board before, and they built me up with so much confidence, I didn't want to get off! Really convenient pick-up and drop off, great atmosphere with the friendly staff, and they snapped some amazing pics for me. Only regret is that I didn't go sooner! Thanks again

The Best Surf Classes !!

I've been learning to surf at Get Wet Surf School for the past few months, and while the worlds been on pause and a lot of us have been stuck inside in quarentine it has been so nice to keep active and learn to surf!! Jason is an awesome teacher and he got me standing up in my first class, and I've come so far since then and he's helped me to become a confident, skilled surfer, so I can't thank him enough for being an amazing teacher! Kerri, Emma and the rest of the team are always so helpful and super easy to get in touch with whenever I have a query. They've adapted so well during this pandemic and made the surf classes super safe, out of everywhere I visit, my surf classes are definitley where I feel the safest. They're super clean, hygienic, and stick to the rules. If you're thinking of learning to surf I can't recommend them enough!

Surfing sensational

Had a blast. Complete beginner not even water confident, only ever settle for a wee paddle but I was actually surfing. Standing up, not for long granted, but standing up and surfing! Thank you Get Wet Surf School!

Great lesson

Liam was our teacher. He was very proffessional, but made the class fun as well, at Surfers Paradise. Jack was also very friendly when he booked in my lesson, I would highly recommend anyone wanting to do a surfing lesson to use and support this company. Instructors Are Amazing!!!

Learning to surf was on my 'Holiday Bucket List', and the guys did not dissapoint. The intro portion was short, so you end up spending the majority of the time on the water, the instructors offer some amazing feedback if you comeoff, even if you stand up first try they will still provide some tips to get you flowing. Highly recommend as a group, solo or family event. Rainy or sunshine (my visit was overcast/rainy). Good Work guys keep up the good work!!!
