Fabulous kayaking

A good experience, safe and excellent instruction. Kayaks great to ride and a lovely local guide took us out on the river. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and met with a cold beer at the end. Only lost a point as I felt it was quite expensive compared with other trips I have done in the UK and Europe.

A relaxing and fun experience

We had a wonderful time kayaking in Spike's river. Ketan was very helpful and answered all our questions. He was flexible with timings and arranged a tour for us at a timing that was convenient for us, as we had a flight to catch the same evening. The guide who came with us was very kind, professional and also took many photos and videos of ours! Overall, a peaceful experience and a good workout for those arms! 💪

Beyond great. Meeting people at their best is more than meeting birds in a river.

Prakash gave us instructions and left us in the hands of Satish his guide with big heart. Apart from the beauty of the river and it’s birds we found a cow trapped in the mangrove trees and almost drowned. We, the two girls from Bulgaria and Satish decided to save the cow. It sounds easy, but was quite scary as the cow was frightened and anxious and it took us two more hours and an additional trip to find a machete and go back to cut the brunches. Funny though in the middle of all this fight was the doubt our insurance could cover injuries by cow in a river :) 4 hours later that looked like 24, we saved the cow, got back exhausted, thirsty and hungry and Prakash surprised us with “village lunch” you eat with fingers: fish, rice, chilly, few salads, drinks… And he refused to received any payment for this generous lunch, being foreign tourists would care about a local cow. “You did your good deed saving our cow, now I have to do my good deed feeding all three of you.” India at its best! Highly recommended!

We loved it! Ketan and Shankar took great care to explain everything and make sure that we had a great trip on the river. All the communication and directions were perfect. The experience of seeing over a 100 Fruit bats take flight from the trees is one we'll always remember plus Shankar's knowledge of the wildlife. Make sure that you do this!

Great Experience for 1st timers 😊

It was our first experience doing Kayaking and we loved every bit of it.. From the 1st phone call to finishing the adventure, Prakash, Ketan and Shankar took very good care of all of us. We will definitely come back to do more of it.. I can highly recommend services of Goa Kayaking.. Great Team!

Worth the experience!!

Kayaking is something one should experience atleast once in their life and a MUST DO during the Goa trip.The tour operator was very welcoming aand friendly. He provided us with proper instructions along with safety measures. The instruments used were properly washed and sanitized. The activity was done on time as the operator had already done the preperation. A professional accompanied and monitored us throughout the trip. Taking back great memories with us. Wonderful experience

The trip was an amazing experience altogether, thanks to Mr. Ketan Alponso for his timely guidance. He is an amazing and a very experienced instructor who is a joy to go along a ride with. An unforgettable experience!

Loved it!! We opted for the 2.5 hour long Spike's river paddle mangroves magic kayaking trip - couples premium package in the monsoon season. It was one of our best experiences in Goa, hands down!! We were lucky to see otters, stork billed kingfishers, brahminy kites, purple heron, oysters and crabs among other life in mangroves. Even the rains were a delight during kayaking. The whole ecosystem of mangroves was mesmerizing. Mr. Ketan is a patient and knowledgeable instructor. Even the kayaks seemed to be of great quality and easy to balance. The owners of Goa kayaking were quite responsive through the whole booking process and even later. The chilled beer offered by Ketan at the end of the trip was a cherry on the cake! Overall, it was relaxing and exciting at the same time. Would recommend anyone visiting goa to definitely keep this on their itinerary.

A must do activity in Goa for any season and for any age!

Think Goa and think sun and sand? Well thanks to Prakash and Ketan, Goa should be known for kayaking. I took my 7 year old and my almost 70 year old (68 actually) mom along and we had an amazing time. We were in Goa during the rains and every activity shuts down but we came across them still operating and said “why not?” Can’t deny that initially we were a bit circumspect- scared even. But we went for it and after the first 10-15 minutes of getting the hang of it, it started to be fun and then we couldn’t have enough of it. Ketan was our guide and after the initial instructions he got us onto our individual kayaks. My son insisted on doing it himself and after getting towed initially he got a chance and took to it like fish to water. While they didn’t have small kayaks and oars for my son, he was able to manage and manage well. Ketan kept an eye out for him and ensured he kept his balance and didn’t topple over till he got used to it. Ketan also helped get us out whenever we got stuck in the reeds. Even my mom was able to do it. And then the skies opened up for a downpour which added to the fun. We were drenched, and kayaking for the 1st time in our lives through mangroves on the river Nerul. It was amazing. We did see some crabs, oyster rocks, the Brahmini kite, a heron and cormorants- but the highlight was the kayaking itself. Must say at the end of more than 2.5 hrs it did get tiring as you are going back upstream but all of us ended it totally happy- overall an amazing experience and definitely a must do in Goa with Prakash and Ketan- don’t miss this!

A must do for everyone

This is a MUST DO for everyone visiting goa. We had a wonderful experience kayaking through the mangroves of Nerul river. Ketan has been an amazing guide. He was very informative and showed us all different kinds of birds, fruit bats and Crabs... At first one might find it a bit difficult to handle the kayak but once you get the hang of it, it's quite easy... İ would definitely wanna do it again...👍

Awesome experience through the mangroves

We had an amazing time together with Ketan from Goa Kayaking. The 2.5 hours of unforgettable experiences. Beautiful sights, light exercise and a host sharing all his experiences across multitude of adventurous sports. We were glad that we did this and didn’t imagine earlier that it would be such fun!

Amazing off-beat experience in Goa

Who says Goa is all about partying and beaches. Try this kayaking tour with Prakash and Purushottam who accompanied us in the backwaters and mangrove tour in kayaks and it was so refreshing to see the land from the river side. Everything was organized well from timing to refreshments during the tour and wet wipes and even a beer to celebrate at the end of the tour!!! We had fun and will definitely try their other tours in our next visit to Goa.

We had a brilliant kayaking trip with Goa Kayaking! It was excellently organised and Prakash was great at communicating and the booking process was really easy. Prakash met as at the start and gave us a really good explanation on how to use our kayaks safely and gave us our life jackets. We had a brilliant guide who was lovely and helped us with spotting all the different wildlife! We kayaked at a lovely pace. We had a brilliant time kayaking through the mangroves and the still river - we saw loads of interesting wildlife and amazing birds - it was a brilliant experience. A Delightful Excursion

My friends and I had a great time kayaking along Spike's River! The jovial Mr Prakash met us at the starting point, and gave us a thorough explanation of how to work with our kayaks safely and efficiently. We then set off with our guide, Mr Parshuram, who set a comfortable pace that allowed us to quickly get used to propelling and manoeuvering the boats. What followed was a lovely couple of hours spent exploring the dense mangroves along the River, spotting plenty of Crabs and Mudskippers in the trees, and basking in the peaceful environment. I would most definitely do this again the next time I'm in Goa- Highly recommended!

Perfect chilled day out and experience

What an experience this was! was a perfect chilled day out kayaking down the river and seeing all the various wildlife, eagles, kingfisher and many more birds. the guys on the tour were very helpful and didn't rush us, it was entirely at our own speed. would highly recommend if you are in Goa to do this trip.

Amazing experience

Kayaking trip organised by Mr Prakash turned out to be the highlight of our Goa tip. A very memorable experience and I would highly recommend this to everyone planning a trip to Goa. A good 2-2.5 hours of kayaking though the mangrooves spotting some beautiful birds along the way. It takes around 5-10 mins to get used to moving in the kayak and it is easy to naviagate though the water. I felt safe and very looked after throughout. We booked this trip before arriving at Goa. Mr Prakash is very prompt at replying to emails and gave us all necessary details to plan this trip. Clear instructions were provided before trip started and the equipments were all in good condition.
