Mario is an exceptional tour guide. We enjoyed our time touring old Goa in December 2023 and were back for more. This time we enjoyed the spice plantation and every detail of it learning about various spices and enjoying the experience of an authentic Goan cuisine.This was a gem! The beach experience was beautiful as well as dinner with fresh seafood at Zeebop’s was superb!! Five stars for Mario and we hope to be back and would highly recommend glimpses of Goa tour.

Goa Tour

Although I've been to Goa several times, this tour made me fall deeper in love with the rich beauty and heritage of this state! Mario is an exceptional tour guide whose insightful, knowledgeable and funny commentary kept us wanting more! From the old Goan churches, Portuguese houses, beaches and beautiful architecture, we got us a little taste of everything. Mario was thoughtful and went above and beyond to make the trip enjoyable throughout! He even provided cool towels to beat the heat which was wonderful! His service is exceptional! Tour

It was an absolute joy to be a part of this tour! We went through so many beautiful pockets in Goa including Fontainhas, the Old Goa churches and the amazing Spice plantation. Our tour guide, Mario, was phenomenal. He's extremely knowledgeable, experienced and equally humorous. The scenarios really came alive in my mind with the way he explained the history behind each place. The authenticity of my experience at the Spice plantation was the best part, the food was delicious! Loved every bit of this immersive experience! Highly recommended! Thank you Mario!

Best Tour of Goa

Our experience with Mario was exceptional. He was welcoming and informative on the history of Goa. We were in Goa during the hottest week of the year, but Mario went the extra effort to cool us off with some cold towels. He made this trip very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend doing the excursion with him again!

From Old Town Goa to the Spice Farm!

We are Americans living in southern Europe. Pickup at our hotel and a quick trip to old Goa through quaint neighborhoods. It seems like Mario knows everyone. A bit of souvenir shopping, changing currency. We love the Indian clothing especially since we live in a warmer climate. Then back in the bus for a trip through the countryside to the Tropical Spice Farm. We were famished and were met by a feast of prawns, fried fish, shrimp and chicken curry etc. One of the best meals we’ve had. Interesting to learn about the various spices as we wandered through the jungle paths. Such a beautiful place !

Amazing day with Mario

If you’re on the fence about embarking on this experience with Mario, don’t be—he’s the best tour guide Goa has to offer. We had an amazing time with him on this tour. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of Goan culture and will answer any and all questions you might have. He truly went above and beyond to meet all our expectations and more; we were incredibly comfortable throughout our car ride, and Mario provided several ways for us to stay cool in the heat and humidity. Exotic Goan Tours

A wonderful bespoke day tour of Goa covering cultural and heritage sites with a walking tour of the old Portuguese quarter, the fresh food and flower market, stopping at a bakery to sample Goan sweet treats and finishing at a fascinating spice plantation with tour and a spicy lunch included. Mario is the ultimate tour guide who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his Goan heritage and culture going the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable at all times. There was always a cold fragrant towel to help cool you down in the heat, a cold bottle of water on hand even a spray for you to use on the toilet seat before use! He made sure the pace of the tour was suitable and there were little treats and thoughtful gifts throughout the tour. He even arranged a freshly made Goan seafood curry for us at the plantation lunch as he knew we hadn't tried an authentic Goan curry yet. I can't highly recommend Mario's tours enough especially if you want to gain a cultural insight to this fascinating part of India with a consumate guide.

Wow! You cannot visit Goa without meeting Mario. If you're thinking twice at looking at another excursion, don't do it .

Very good trip

It was my first time visiting Goa and I wanted to look at some of the forts, churches and temples of Goa. I found a good guide in Mario who gave me a good introduction to Goa, its history and guided me through Old Goa, Reis Magos, Foutainhas, Mangeshi temple and spice plantation. Thanks a lot Mario and I recommend Mario to everyone who wants to know more about Goa

Fun tour of Goa

The tour was amazing. All the sites Mario took us to were so interesting. We really like walking through the fruit market and the fish Market. If you want a true Goan experience, please talk to Mario. He's the best!

FANTASTIC TOUR!!!

Mario was fantastic, we couldn't have asked for a better experience or tour. We got to tour the main attractions in Goa, saw architecture, toured the market, ate traditional sweets and ended with an incredible tour of the spice plantation with a great lunch. He was extremely knowledgable on the sights. We had a group of 5 of my friends and they all absolutely loved it as well. I would HIGHLY recommend any tour Mario offers because he goes above and beyond. He even picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in South Goa. Thanks so much Mario!

Amazing Tour!

Mario was a fantastic tour guide! This was my first time in Goa and he created a really fun tour itinerary that included some historical sites but also with lots of scenic spots too. The spice plantation that we visited was the highlight of the tour for me! Thanks Mario for a great tour of Goa!

An excellent tour, but you need the right guide: Mario Monteiro

While I've visited various parts of India before, this was my first time in Goa. Mario Monteiro may have been the best tour guide I've had period. Warm, friendly, poised and informative, he dispenses with the fluff and tells you exactly what you need to know about each place. He is also patient to explain things again in case you missed it the first time. If you do this tour, you need to do it with Mario.

Excellent tour

Mario took us on an outstanding tour of Panjim, Old Goa and the spice plantation. He was patient, informative and very kind, and did an exceptional job in creating a personalized tour that was just the right fit for us. It was the best day of our entire stay in Goa and we highly recommend his tours!!

Best part of our trip to Goa!

This tour was exceptional, and our guide, Mario, made all the difference. His vast knowledge and articulation made every stop engaging and educational, while his clever and warm personality meant that even our car rides between stops were full of fun and informative conversation. The tour was a perfect balance of walking, talking, and experience. Each stop was the perfect amount of time: not too long that we got disengaged, yet long enough to feel like we got the most out of it. Highlights for us were the spice plantation tour and walking around the Latin quarter. I cannot recommend this tour, and Mario as a guide, enough! Hopefully we will be back in Goa soon!

Fantastic day tour!

We had an incredible family day with Mario who showed us the beautiful sights of Goa. We have been to Goa before but Mario taught us a lot about Goan history and showed us many hidden gems. Being retired Australians traveling throughout Southern India, we were lucky to have Mario as our tour guide for our Goa excursions. He is very knowledgeable about Goa and it’s culture and history. Mario is – for the lack of a better word – an “aboriginal Goan”. He is Goan by decent and linked, even bonded to this place. A bond that transpires during his guided tours. We enjoyed listening to every word and learned so much. Thanks Mario!

Mario was a fantastic tour guide. We had a full day packed in with a lot of sites to see on the Glimpses of Goa, he provided us with very clear historical information for every site. Not only that, but Mario goes above and beyond to ensure that the customer has a good time and has their needs provided for, with appropriate stops of food and water and times to rest and enjoy the sites! From historic forts to famous churches, to riding elephants, our day was packed with so many fun things and so many memories made! If I ever came back to Goa, I would definitely go with Mario again as a tour guide!

I have been a guide-interpreter in Portugal for over 30 years and I can only highly recommend this tour with Mario. We visited the so-called pearl of the Orient and the entire visit was fantastic!
