Fantastic

Stirling Castle was spectacular and it was good to have a couple of hours to explore it. Mark was a great guide who took us to some bonus spots.

Smooth sailing and sunny Stirling

I would rate this tour 4.5 out of 5 Stars. Marc was our driver and guide on this tour - he was absolutely wonderful. Made sure everyone was looked after, was funny and interactive. He took the time to check in with me after some bumpy roads, as I had mentioned being prone to motion sickness. He also stopped for us to see some Highland cows and feed them carrots! We were incredibly lucky to have such agreeable, warm weather, which only added to the beauty of the day. For anyone considering this tour, it’s a great way to see some of the natural beauty and rich history of Scotland. I highly recommend taking the boat cruise in Loch Lomond and pre-purchasing tickets online for Stirling Castle. My only criticism would be that more time is required at the castle to really take it all in. I opted for one of the free guided tours which was about an hour, leaving me with only 30 mins to explore on my own.

Enjoyable and informative tour

Wanted the family to see Stirling Castle and thought the tour would be a good way to do it. Didn't know that we were going to see Loch Lomond by boat, that was a surprise. Our driver, Charlie, provided a great mix of history and music that tied to the sites we saw. Highly recommend this tour

Stirling Castle Amazing

We enjoyed the cruise on Loch Lomond. Stirling Castle was amazing. We enjoyed meeting the highland cattle. Charlie our Guide/driver was wonderful....very informative and humorous.

Stirling Castle A Must-See

The tour of Stirling Castle was the highlight of the day. The one hour boat ride on Loch Lomond was just a time filler, as was the stop in Aberfoyle for coffee. I could have done without both. There is a terrific pub, The Portcullis, immediately adjacent to the parking lot at Stirling Castle and I would have a pub lunch there again. Very generous servings, and good too. Stuart was a gracious and knowledgeable guide, with an impressive background. I’d love to spend more time with him someday.

Great Tour Guide & Tour

The tour was very nice. However, the highlight of the tour was our tour guide, Robert. He was a wealth of information about each area we visited. He also was friendly, put everyone in a great mood and has a great sense of humor.

A Wonderful Tour

Scott was a wonderful guide. Enjoyed the peaceful boat ride on the Loch Lomond, the visits to the small villages and of course Stirling Castle.

Great views on Scottish nature, architecture, driver Andrew was very nice and helpful, with a sence of humour and lot of knowledge about local traditions

A smile, a wave, some carrots and a whole lot of laughs from the original Jasmine

Had an absolutely amazing day with our tour guide Stevie (not Jasmine) he made the whole experience something to remember with a wave to the QEUH where my companion unfortunately had to experience NHS care and food missing our tour. We had plenty of stops and even got to get up close with Highland cattle. The history of Stirling Castle is very eventful well worth the admission price and they have free guided tours. The surrounding town immediately around the castle is well worth wandering around.

Wonderful 💛

I had a wonderful day with Andrew and the others on the tour. He is very well informed and helpful. The drive through the Trossachs National Forest is incredible! Stirling speaks for itself. I highly recommend the free guided tours to understand the castle better.

Bus didn’t show,

Bus didn’t show. There were about a dozen people standing in the cold rain for 30-45 minutes before the company finally notified us that the driver was sick and the tour was canceled. I get that people get sick but they must have know earlier that the driver was unavailable and could have notified us sooner.

Cancelled without notice

I booked this tour for our last day in Scotland and was very excited to go. We arrived at the meeting spot 15 minutes early as requested, but were not informed that our tour had been cancelled. I didn't find that out until I called the tour company, who then had to call me back with more information. We ended up standing outside in the cold rain for half an hour before finding out that the tour had been cancelled and since this was our last day in the country, we could not be rebooked on another tour. The customer service representative was very nice and we received a full refund for our tickets, but it was still very disappointing to miss out on our only chance to get out of the city and see the Scottish countryside. I don't think I'll book with this company on future visits to Scotland.

A Great Tour - Rob was fantastic.

This was a great tour. We got to see so much of the iconic Scottish landscape in one day. Robert was an excellent guide; funny, gave great recommendations for food and was drove really carefully. Can highly recommend this tour especially if you are short on time.

Loch Lomond

I went with 5 friends and our driver was David who was very good. He was extremely informative and amusing. The whole trip was fantastic beautiful scenery and Sterling Castle was amazing. We would thoroughly recommend the whole trip.

Wonderful Tour, Highly Recommend!

Our trip on 11/5/23 was fantastic. We saw the beautiful landscape of Scotland and had a really nice day filled with stories, music and history. Our family opted not to take Loch Lomond boat trip and instead took a walk in town, through the park and saw beautiful swans in the water in the harbor. We could have used a bit more time for lunch, but understand the day is on a set schedule to ensure we got to stop at all the places we did (note, opt for lunch at one of the small shops, not the local sit-down restaurant as they are not prepared to serve large groups in a timely fashion). Truly enjoyed the Stirling Castle which is why we booked this tour in the first place. Our guide was friendly and easily understood. Highly recommend this tour!

Fun, easy tour

This was a fun tour, I met great people and saw interesting sites. Lunch at Loch Lomond Coffee shop was good and quick. Fraser my driver went out of his way to drop me off at the Stirling Train Station when he did not have to, as I was not returning to Glasgow, but moving on to Edinburgh.

We had a great day tour guide Graham was great full of knowledge ws were picked up on time in a comfy bus we' were lucky the sun was out which made it 😀 would not of been so good in the rain

We saw more with this tour than if we went ourselves by car the guide provide local history and landmarks saw the beautiful country side outside Glasgow

See the sights of Scotland

Firstly, our driver, Callum, was most helpful and friendly. I like that we were taken round in a minibus. Last year's tour from Edinburgh had been in a full sized coach. I chose this tour because it would be going through one of my favourite parts of Scotland, visiting Aberfoyle. It was a shame that Balloch had been affected badly by flooding so that I couldn't get to the town itself. Although I was disappointed that I had to turn back, it was a very energetic walk through those woods 🪵. The reward was a lovely ice cream at the end. Also a shame that many places down one side of the street in Aberfoyle were closed due to flooding, even the Co-op. This didn't spoil my enjoyment of the place. I departed the tour at Stirling Castle after taking in the guided tour. Castle staff allowed me to do so although I hadn't bought a ticket to get into the Castle. I have previously gotten lovely photos with the older Hamish at Kilmahog. The walk through the woods at Balloch was the highlight of this tour for me but no part disappointed. (On departure it was a shock to see the other car park SEVERELY flooded). A great tour.

Great day trip from Glasgow

Beautiful trip to Loch Lomund where we took a ferry tour. Next stop was the quaint village of Aberfoyle. There were cute shops and a place to grab lunch. We then drove through the scenic Trossachs to Stirling Castle.

Memorable Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle Tour with Andy

My family recently took a one-day tour with Timberbush from Glasgow to Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle. The tour was well-organized, covering all the essential attractions. Our guide, Andy, was knowledgeable and passionate, which added depth to our experience. Even when faced with challenges like flooding and road closures, Andy adapted our plans to ensure a safe journey. Thanks to Andy for a memorable trip!

Castle was very nice; but reconsider cutting out Loch Lomond if the weather is bad

The guide David was outstanding. Very knowledgeable of the area and amusing, giving quips and comments on various topics. The weather was less accommodating with rain most of the day, but what can you do when your time is limited to a given day. The castle was the big highlight; suggest your take the 50 minute guided tour to get a lay of the land and visit specific points of interest after the 50 minute tour. Loch Lomond would have been nice if the weather was better; still took the boat ride which was a nice loop.

Trip was cancelled at the last minute. It seems to me another bus should have been made available but sure how those things work.

Stirling Castle was the highlight of the trip, we also enjoyed the boat ride on Loch Lomond and the beautiful scenery.

Lovely day in the country!

Eric was our guide and he was fantastic! He had interesting stories, corny jokes, and nice music. The scenery was fantastic and I’m so glad we took this trip. My only complaint is there isn’t enough time at Stirling Castle but there was nothing I’d give up!

Great glimpse of Scotland from port

Our driver Stuart gave us lots of historical information. There were stops so we could go and explore. From the coach we could enjoy the scenery and spied some highland cattle. The visit to Sterling Castle was all the more enjoyable as Stuart had filled us in on the history. Wonderful day so many happy memories.

Good tour

Very enjoyable; driver/tour guide very knowledgeable about English history and lore related to places visited. Participants are advised to dress in layers as the morning cruise can get very, windy, chilly and cold. Cruise cost not included in price of tour; neither is admission to Stirling Castle but both worth adding to the experience. Could use a little more notice and time for toileting.

The tour allows you to see nature and some landmarks of Glasgow's surroundings. However, be prepared to spend much time in a bus. We visited Loch Lomond, where you have the opportunity to take a cruise. I chose to visit the nearby village of Luss, and I would sincerely recommend this to others. Lunch was in Aberfoyle. I chose to walk around and see houses, and yards, and visit some stores with local products. Nearby the restaurant, just across the river is a small graveyard with historical significance, it was really interesting to see how this changed over time. We had a few stops in the Trossachs National Park, with an amazing view and the last stop was the Stirling Castle. If you are in history and the military, I would suggest taking an audio guide. Otherwise, just browsing around would be great, since there are written signposts in each room that provide you with sufficient information. The tourist guide was amazing and super interesting!

Beautiful area. Enjoyed 2-hour visit to Stirling Castle. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend.

Loch Chon Campsite wonderful

Stayed at Loch Chon Visited Aberfoyle and callander while here Campsite in loch chon is beautiful and fantastic experience Toilets and facility to wash up dishes but no bins or shower which is understandable So make sure to bring bin bags for your rubbish to take home And dry shampoo / body wipes also plenty of smidge / bug repellent for midges be aware pitch 21 has uneven ground / tree roots coming up to surface so makes for uncomfortable sleeping unless you have b thick sleeping mattresses but pitch 22 / any rubber pitches would recommend 👌 fire bowls provided and opportunity to purchase fire wood at reception Kevin the ranger is delightful and talks you through everything you need to know upon arriving Make sure to screen grab/ copy booking reference as there is minimal / zero phone reception

Terrific day tour to the western Highlands

Terrific little day tour. The guide was excellent and so was the scenery, cruise and lunch stop. Stirling castle is a terrific stop also.

Our driver, David, knew his stuff, was very friendly and concerned about the riders and was funny, too. Even though he spoke slowly so we could understand him, it was difficult.
