Myself and my friend took this 3 day Isle of Sky tour. Being on a small bus tour with only 12 people is so much better than a large bus filled with 40 people. It is hard to express in words the beauty of the views we saw. Unbelievably breathtaking. Our driver Gary explained everything we were seeing with details in his beautiful Scottish accent. He played songs of the region for our ears to hear and our minds to wonder. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to be excited to see the highlands. Ask for Gary to guide you thru this beautiful landscape and you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic tour with a great guide

The tour was really wonderful. Caitlin was our driver and guide, and she did a great job of showing us local highlights with insightful explanations about the rich history and culture of the locations. There's plenty to see on Skye and you can definitely spend more than three days here, but Caitlin did a great job of picking out the best bits that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. This is a fantastic tour for anyone who is looking for an introduction to Skye, or who is looking to get the most of out a quick trip there.

Glasgow to Isle of Skye with Jeff C!

We had such a fabulous time on our trip to Isle of Skye with Jeff C! We left from Glasgow with a small group (only 3!) and were in awe as we traversed the Highlands and explored Skye. Jeff was so knowledgeable and had many stories (both historical and humorous!), food recommendations, and hidden gems along the way. Amazing

Peter the tour guide was an amazing person, really knowledgeable, friendly, kind and also has the ability to make everyone feel confortable. He was also caring and attentive about each one’s needs, he was very helpful all the time. His driving is superb He worked really hard not to miss any of the must sees, besides some additional spots where the landscapes where breathtaking. A very important part of a tour is based on the guide, and he excels by far. His guidance was gentle, properly timed, comprised enough stops for restroom. The beautiful landscapes, the power of nature at its full bloom made Skye and the highlands a tour that should not be missed. We had an amazing trip with Peter!! The Isle of Skye is a surreal location with a magical mystic energy. Peter took us to all the best spots and was able to adjust and accommodate our groups requests and interests. Highly recommend and will most definitely do again.

Isle of Skye - GREAT tour!

Crikey, small tour excellence does not get any better! My friend and I joined the 3 day Skye tour in September with Alastair, what a hoot! His natural connection with people, his knowledge, his genuine care and concern for all guests to get the most from their experience, his ability to steer us through multiple narrow roads and access ways, so impressive! Even after the 3 days, he managed to pull a hat out of his bag initiating the best-est sing-along EVER for our drive back in to Glasgow! All the usuals re the comfort in the bus, the accommodation (superb, as is the liaison between the B & B’s and Rabbies) and Alastair’s passion for his country and its history helped us all connect so much with the beauty of Scotland. Yes, storytellers for sure, but delivered with great personable care and wonderful humour! The only thing left to do is articulate that Rabbies knows their business, their staff go beyond and this totally special tour is now enshrined in a very special place in my heart. 20/10 Rabbies and Alistair - thank you! Yep, if we’re back that way, without a doubt Rabbies would be the top pick and we highly recommend this tour company!

Stunning and Fun

What an amazing tour! Our tour guide made all the difference in the world! We had Cameron as our guide, part park ranger, part historian, part music savant and part Formula 1 driver. The tour was beautiful, informative, interactive and comprehensive. We saw and did a lot each day. Be ready to get up and go, it will be worth it.

A short stay on Skye will only make you want to return.

The journey both to and back from the Isle of Skye provide magnificent scenery and sites to view. Once on Skye, we stayed in Partree, a quaint town with a beautiful bay & both the hotel accommodations and food are very pleasing, and the townspeople are friendly. There is so much to see on Skye, a 3 day tour only provides a nice introduction, but it will make you want to come back. In total there were 13 of us traveling with Rabbee’s Tours and and our guide/driver was Cameron. Cameron is a wealth of knowledge and he conveys stories and information in a pleasing, and at times humorous, way.

LIFETIME EXPERIENCE

DO IT, you will NOT REGRET IT. We have 3 fantastic days with STEWART which was an absolute joy of a guide. He made everyone of the group to feel included and engaged with everyone of us. It really felt as if we were a group of friends travelling to SKye. If you have little time of SCOTLAND, by doing this tour you can avoid doing extra large day tours, as you see skye, you see glencoe, loch lochmond, loch ness and the scenary is spectacular. This tour will show you that paying a little bit more is 150% worth it because if you drive you cannot enjoy the scenary the same way :). A LIFE TIME EXPERIENCE.

Nice tour; flexibility is needed

Our driver was knowledgeable, personable and full of Scottish humor. Disappointment is fueled by expectations; we stopped at most of the sites listed on the Viator schedule description; however, we picked this tour because we were interested in seeing Old Man of Storr (which we drove by), Dunvegan Castle (we didn't see at all and the description reads "Any visit to the Isle of Skye is incomplete without savouring the wealth of history and clan legend on offer at award winning Dunvegan Castle") and Neist Point (the one view I was most interested in and we never came close to this stop). The tour offered a great view/tour of Skye, yet passengers need to approach this tour with flexibility - what's described and what the tour covers may differ. If one is interested in seeing specific sites, it may be worth exploring other tour options.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

Only one adjective is enough to describe this experience: excellent! It's the best tour I've ever done in my life. Everything was perfect: the organization, the places visited, the comfortable minibus and the guide. Cameron, in addition to being a very punctual driver, was our history teacher, dj, entertainer with a great culture and sense of humor. In short only one adjective: excellent!

Great way of visiting Skye and the Highlands

Wonderful tour with a great driver guide Cameron. Would recommend this to anyone wishing to visit this part of Scotland. The Rabbies vehicle was perfectly suited to the tour getting to places larger vehicles couldn't reach. Our Driver guide was knowledgable, a great communicator and a consumate professional. Excellent value for money and communication from the company was clear and timely.

Wonderful trip!

Just returned last night from a trip to Skye with my sister, brother and sister in law. My brother and sister in law from Australia, were having a holiday with us. What a fabulous tour! Jeff, our driver was wonderful! He was cheerful, informative, funny and gave us a wonderful experience on our first trip to Skye. He went our of his way to give us the best experience! The other passengers on the tour with us were all friendly and everyone got on so well! Our accomodation at the Dunborrodale Guest house was great with the best breakfasts ever!! Calum and his family were so nice and very helpful! I would highly recommend a Rabbies Tour! Skye is a beautiful island with breathtaking scenery!

Outstanding 3 day tour

This tour was one of the best parts of our trip to Scotland. Our guide John from Rabbies tours was very personable as well as a wealth of information, played great music, and kept us entertained. There were many stops for short hikes (if you choose to do them), a variety of interesting places to see, and plenty of coffee and bathroom stops. My husband, adult daughter, and I highly recommend this trip. The day we toured the sights on Isle of Skye was rainy but John watched the weather and rearranged our itinerary so we could see the best outdoor scenic spots after the rain stopped. The Rabbies Tour site recommends making a reservation for Portree restaurants as soon as you book the tour and I was glad I did this as many restaurants are completely booked in evenings (check with tour company about what time you will be back in Portree each evening).

Our guide John was awesome…..smooth drive, knowledgeable , good taste of music and a fantastic person to keep the group engaged all the times. Loved the tour. We are coming again for more, for sure.

Great tour and superb guide

It's an excellent tour, our guide, Peter is very knowledgeable, energetic and compassionate. Since it was wintertime, we didn't have a lot of daylight, but we have been lucky with the either and still managed to see some very interesting places and breathtaking landscapes. Peter doesn't only stick to the schedule. He is also flexible upon our request and weather. Highly recommend this tour.

Great tour!

We had a great tour . Our tour guide Peter was friendly and very informative. We were also impressed w/ his driving skills . We encountered some severe weather w/ flooded roads and very high winds. Peter had no problem and transported us safely around the Isle of Skye . We enjoyed all the sights and wouldn’t change a thing . Highly recommend!

Isle of Skye and the Highlands 3 day tour 9-14 to 9-17-22

Most amazing time on this tour. Small group, only 10 of us. The best and I mean the BEST tour guide Peter. I do not know his last name but he was awesome. The music, the narrated history ( Peter was quite and impressive historian) , the absolute maginficance of Skye and the Highlands. Each stop we made was perfect ( I was born in Glasgow) so this was not my first trip back. Skye is beauty beyond imagine. This tour met all my expectations and then some. Our B and B was perfect ( Dalriada Guest House), the hosts were amazing, the room was immaculate and the food and afternoon deserts were perfect. Thanks to all for making.my trip a dream vacation. Very enjoyable tour. As a solo traveller on thos tour, I wasnt feel awkward or bored at all. Our your guide Ben has great knowledge about the regions and share a lot of interesting stories with us. The weather wasnt the greatest but Ben will add in extra effort to make sure we get to see the nice landscape and sceneies of Isle of Skye. The accomodation organised by Rabbie (Woodlands Guest house) was great. Clean and tidy. DEfinitely recommended the tour.

Phenomenal tour with phenomenal guide

I live in Glasgow but hadn't made it up to Skye, and when a friend came to town it was the perfect opportunity. It isn't just Skye: the trips up and back down cover some absolutely stunning parts of the mainland that are hard to access without a car. We saw so many gorgeous areas and made some amazing memories. Our tour guide, Cameron, was fantastic. He is clearly extremely passionate about what he does and his past work as a park ranger shines through when he points out the local flora and fauna. He made the best choices for the weather and traffic as it changed and was candid about why he made each change and really kept us in the loop. He packed SO much into each day without it feeling rushed- we still had plenty of time for photos, and there were well-spaced comfort breaks along the way. Beyond the logistics, he made every topic sound so fascinating, and was very funny (especially the terrible dad jokes). You can tell that he really enjoys getting to know the people on his tours, and he tries to accommodate the things that everyone is really excited about. The accommodations Rabbie's booked for us in Portree was comfortable and really close to town. They recommended booking ahead of time for meals and DEFINITELY do that: Portree has a lot of people looking for meals around the same time and there aren't a lot of restaurants available, so it's very busy. My favourite booking was at The Rosedale Hotel. As for the stops, there is enough time to take a light hike at almost every stop (or to simply enjoy the view if you don't feel like a hike).

An exceptional tour from Rabbies delivered by our tour guide Cameron.

The Isle of Skye is truly stunning - almost to the point of being overwhelming. If you fancy seeing the island you will not be disappointed. Keeping this in mind, the true highlight of the trip was our Rabbie's tour guide Cameron. Cameron had an all encompassing knowledge of Scotland's history, culture, wildlife, folklore and flora of each region. His knowledge was shared through a keen sense of storytelling and he even had a hand-picked music playlist with songs that fit perfectly with each landscape we were passing through. A highlight of our trip was making the Glenelg Ferry crossing from Skye back to the mainland on the way home - it gave our small group a true feeling of the pace of Scottish island life.

#1 Recommendation in Scotland - Discover Scotland/Isle of Skye

MUST DO excursion - I wish I had done this tour on my very first visit to Scotland several years ago. Going from Edinburgh, we saw so many beautiful, historic places that I had not seen before and stopped in quaint towns for comfort stops and snacks that truly conveyed the culture and personality of Scotland in a way that I had not experienced. This was greatly due to our marvelous tour guide/driver, who gave recommendations for coffee, ice cream, or where to capture the perfect photo. BEST tour guide/driver! Scott was safe, considerate and treated everyone like family. Our group, originally 7 groups of strangers, a total of 15 passengers ended by taking our meals together, taking group pictures and sharing the experience of a lifetime, the Isle of Skye. Scott made sure that everyone was enjoying their trip and customized the days to our group's preferences. I don't know any of the other tour guides, but when we stopped at a landmark, many tour guides would come to our bus to chat with Scott, I would recommend requesting his bus. Our accommodations were clean and located right on the water. Perhaps related to post-covid, meals were sometimes a challenge on Skye, but one night, Scott just stopped at a Chippy so we could get take-away. I thought the tour was an excellent value and would use this company again in the future for a different tour.

A memorable experience

Skye is a fantastic island to visit and Rabbie's provided an excellent all-around experience. Smaller groups make it more special. Everything was very well organised in modern minibuses driven by expert guides. Jenny, our guide, was both friendly and professional and ensured that everyone had a great time with safety above all. Highly recommended!

The best tour

Even though we are the only group who joined the tour that day, they did not cancel the trip. Our tour guide Jenny is amazing and professional. She knew that we want to see the highland cow and make a snowman so much and she made my dream come true. Going to Skye in winter is much less crowded with different scenery. Definitely will go to Skye again in summer via Rabbie again ;) Thank you Jenny so much by providing a VIP experience to us!

Fabulous

The 3-day tour to the Isle of Skye was fabulous. The weather was cold and blustery but our guide, Bobby, gave us a warm welcome. He was a safe driver (very important to us) and the van was immaculate. His knowledge of the Highlands was factual with plenty of humorous side notes. Just came back from the Isle of Skye 3 day tour. The driver made the trip as safe as he possibly could, covid-wise, with the minibus only taking 4 ppl to preserve social distancing. I felt safe and well cared for. I have been to Skye before with Rabbies, as well as on several other trips with Rabbies, but our guide Alistair still managed to make the trip very interesting. His knowledge of geomorphology was much appreciated and so was his good humour. He still managed to find new things to show us and even arranged for us to go on the turn-table ferry at Glenelg on the way back, which was phenomenal. It was worth every penny, as Rabbies managed to somehow arrange reasonably priced accommodation in Portree in peak season, which was quiet. Even if you live in Scotland, it's well worth considering going with Rabbies for the experience, local knowledge and a well organised trip. The roads up there were quite challenging, but the guide did amazingly well, being polite and careful with more vulnerable road users. Overall, I think I ran out of Rabbies trips I can do, but I will be back if they add new destinations.

Excellent tour and tour guide!

This tour was fantastic and greatly organised! All staff from Rabbies was friendly and helpful, and available even at late hours. Isle of Skye is one of the most beautiful places I have been (and I have been in many stunning places). The Highlands are a very special and unique place. Our tour guide, Cameron, was great – always careful with anyone in the group – he is a very knowledge man who clearly loves his country. He made our experience more interesting and fun by sharing stories about the places we were visiting. His playlist was fantastic with very beautiful songs, always related to a story he was telling and / or a place we were visiting. The whole experience was excellent! I will use Rabbies again when I go back to Scotland.

Trip to Highland the Isle of Skye in October

The trip to Highland is surprising good! I did not expect such a great trip provided by a local travel agency. They do care about everyone in the group and our driver, Cameron also as our guide was so nice. He is very knowledgeable, telling many stories in Highland that I did not approach. (I travelled with a Chinese agency before in highland) this trip was very safe, sensitiser is provided on the bus and everyone was wearing a mask. I can’t tell how amazing and comfortable this trip is, our guide organised everything very well. In addition, I did enjoy the Scottish music Cameron played during the trip. He is the most patient and knowledgeable guide I’ve ever met! This trip to Skye was absolutely worth!

Enjoyable Trip

Absolutely fantastic trip! Cameron as our tour guide is a very knowledgeable man, I love the stories he told us and the playlist is amazing! We’re really lucky as the weather conditions is well when we travelled to Isle of Skye and we even saw rainbow for twice! Definitely recommended!

Like a fun family vacation with strangers

My husband and I took the Isle tour with Jenny H. and she was simply fantastic. Her warm and lively personality really helped knit our group together. She has exceptional storytelling abilities and fun asides throughout the trip. She hangs artistic towels in the bus stairwell that are cute in themselves, but really help you figure out which bus is yours after a stop. Her experience allowed her to be adaptable to the weather and to personal whims, and she had excellent musical mix tapes that she even would customize when she learned of your other favorite Scottish bands. We went a year ago and could not stop thinking of her and the people we met on the trip. We stopped in at a crofters place, which was a really essential way to get the island. I tricked the husband into watching Outlanders season 1 ahead of time, and she gave just enough info in the regular tour to not overwhelm the males but still let us fans understand much of its historical relevance. The vans have charging stations and are very comfortable. We had a few teens along with their parents and she worked to make sure she pointed out relevant things for them, taking us to a music video site they all knew and were glad to see. Parting was bittersweet, and we hope to do her Ireland tour once we are able.

Let it snow, let snow, let it snow!

I went to Skye during the winter, and let me tell you, Skye still packs a punch! Our guide, Alan, was able to show us everything that Skye has to offer all while getting pelted by hail. Pretty impressive if you ask me. I met a hairy coo, saw many waterfalls and felt the wild and untamed spirit of Scotland. Alan was very knowledgeable and hilarious. He could definitely give it as good as he got it, and that's coming from an Aussie! I would definitely recommend this tour.

Excellent 3 day Trip with Lovely Guide

Travelling on these guided tours I am often unsure if I am getting a touristic version or a realistic version of the place. However this was different, we were part of a small group that headed up on the Wednesday and stopped off at some of the most stunning places and hidden gems, the day in Skye was amazing and the place took my breath away. We were not rushed or harried from place to place and saw all we were promised, Jenny the guide was absolutely wonderful and the perfect host. A stunning experience that changed my view on Scotland and for the better.

Our tour guide is John. With his experience and insight, we can always take good pictures in best spots without crowded people. He also has great choice of music for different scenerio. We enjoyed a lot the time with him and highly recommended this tour!

Best Guide ever Mr. George Stewart!

Our guide was Mr. George Stewart! HE was really nice, caring, patient, always helping me and my girlfriend and he was always energetic and excited making us feels excited too! Even though some people from our group were passive and even not polite (not saying thank or even hello also not paying attention to him and sometimes ignoring him) but Mr. George was still determined and enthusiastic bringing all the positive energy! Despite the bad weather, he kept making sure that he could fulfill all of our needs and wishes! Listening his explanations of scottish history, tradition and even scottish jokes, he made us laugh and fall in love with Scotland and because of him we definitely want to come back! We hope next time if we come back, our guide will be Mr. Stewart Again! 😊

Amazing 3 day isle of skye tour with Doug

We went to Isle of skye 3 day tour with our guide Doug. He is very knowledgeable and told us lot of stories throughout the trip. Music was carefully selected based on tour location and he always gave us details before playing the tracks. The BnB booked for us was very comfortable and the host of Askival BnB were very friendly and adorable couple juergen and heather. I will recommend taking this tour to anyone.

Absolutely amazing!

The three day tour lets you see the stunning nature and beauty of the Scotland at a leisurely pace. Our tour guide, John, was terrific in every sense of the word. His knowledge of everything from american disco music to proper whisky drinking was par none. On the drive, he gave us historical references to each of the sites we visited. Pictures and words cannot do this trip justice enough (even in rainy weather - the landscape was stunning). John was the perfect guide and would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Scotland. Thank you Rabbies!

Word to the Wise --Don' Get Sick!

I was extremely disappointed not to be able to take this tour. I had became very sick with a cold the day before, but I thought I'd be able to rest on the drive and make it work. When I got to the pickup point however, the guide was very rude and immediately told me I had the wrong shoes. When I saw that we weren't travelling on a bus but rather a 3-seat across van, I just felt I couldn't in good conscience expose all the other people to my cough and cold. The guide told me it was too late to get a refund. I was heartbroken at missing the tour in addition to be sick and losing my money. They later offered me a one day area tour which unfortunately I couldn't make. I felt the company should have given me at least a partial refund due to the fact that I hadn't planned on being sick and was only backing out because there were other people I would have had direct exposure with for 3 days. This may have been a great tour, but their customer service policies suck.

Stunning Scenery!

The Isle of Skye and Scottish Highlands tour is a great way to see Scotland away from the busy cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. John was an exceptional guide, giving us the full Scottish flair with his kilt and accent. The isle of Skye has vast expanses of absolutely breathtaking scenery! John used his best judgment to show us the best sights each day based on the weather and crowds. This was our second small-group tour with Rabbie's, and we will definitely book with them in the future as they expand into Europe.

Amazing!

The saying pictures don’t do it justice is so true!! The most enjoyed part of our three week vacation into the UK. Between the beautiful scenery and our knowledge tour guide, Alastair, our trip was Amazing!! I enjoyed the fact that the tour guides adjust the tour depending on the weather. It insures a wonderful trip each time. Alastair took us to the most wonderful spots for pictures and was very knowledgable about the areas. The small group experience is definitely the way to sightsee!! For anyone traveling with special needs friends or family. My brother is on the autism spectrum and he did not want to go on this trip because he was ready to go home after over two weeks away. I thought it was going to be a very tough trip. Alastair treated him no different than any of the other travelers and in fact, took extra time to interact with him. When we got back this is the part of the trip he talked about the most and heard Alastair’s name and everything he told us for about two weeks.

Great tour!

Ben was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgeable, entertaining, personable, punctual. He told us the historical stoies, entertained us with the folklore, answered questions, pointed out sites along the way, all while expertly driving the 16 person bus along busy highways and single lane roads. He recognized the different ability/skill levels of the group and advised us accordingly as to paths/routes to take at the different stops. Every stop, he gave us clear directions to washrooms, recommendations for restaurants, photo opportunities. He clearly knows and loves Scotland and that is reflected in his work.

Alastair of Rabbie's Tour is THE BEST

Alastair of Rabbie's Tour had taken our 3-day Isle of Skye tour one level up! He has overwhelming knowledge of history and geography, tells stories, entertains by playing hand-picked Scottish songs, crack jokes, good photographer and is so friendly to everyone. He has a heart of gold-constantly helping the older guests to avoid the muddy spots. He was also seen getting toilet paper when the public toilet's rang out. We like the modern bus with USB Charger! with plenty of comfort stops and photo shoots. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights Bed n Breakfast experience with Alan too. After the Scotland Highlands tour, we miss the Scottish accent!

Ultra Amazing Breathtaking scenery Tour

I took the 3 days tour and Ben was the tourguide, he was amazing he knows all about his beautiful country in a funny and friendly way. This tour is one of the best i have ever had, the scenery is breathtaking its like a dream. Also my bed and breakfast in portree was amazing. Felt in love with this Staffin beach, Dunkeld cathedral, and crossing by Ferry and all the rest! Thks Rabbies and Ben for making it far out supreme!!

Amazing Trip with our Brilliant Guide, Cameron!

As a senior couple from Seattle, we flew to Glasgow on wonderful Icelandair. We stayed for 2 nights before our Skye trip in the very adequate, Premier Inn, George Square, which was only a 5 minute walk to meeting our Rabbie's mini-coach in front of Parish Hall. Cameron, our excellent guide, happily loaded us on for our 3 days of amazing vistas, incredible castles, and forever memories. Our 16-person coach was filled with wonderful folks from many different countries. My husband sat behind Cameron and sang along with many of the Scottish songs played as we rolled along the beautiful countryside. Our accommodations in Portree were lovely and the weather was great. Cameron was very knowledgable in all areas of history, as well as the local flora and fauna. He delighted us with stories of his family and we wish we could have seen all of Scotland with him as our guide! We enjoyed 3 Rabbie's Tours, 2 different hotels, lots of yummy pub food, and even a Ceilidh during our week stay in Glasgow.

Amazing tour!

So happy I took this tour ! Cameron was an excellent tour guide that made the complete 3 days amazing! The tour bus is very comfortable, you can stand up inside of it, and it has nice big windows.We listened to great music and heard history and bits of interest throughout the tour. The pick up location in Glasgow was easy to find and convenient. There was so much to see on this tour-Skye is just beautiful- especially if you get good weather-which we did! Lots of choice for places to eat. This is one tour for your Bucket List- highly recommended!!!!

The ride on the Glenelg Kylerhea Car Ferry was exceptional!

I highly recommend this tour, my husband and our 2 adult daughters took the tour at the end of July and it was such a fantastic way to see the Highlands. We had a great driver, Alan who was really knowledgeable, full of a lot of really interesting information, played music as well that corresponded with various spots that we visited. It was really nice to let someone else do the driving and in the comfortable air conditioned vehicle you were able to really enjoy the scenery. You get out of the van often so it is like your just sitting and looking! Very interactive.

Trip of the lifetime

This summer we decided to visit the Scottish highland. This was probably the best trip of our lifetime. As we reached our pick-up point of the tour, we were welcomed by our guide. Throughout the journey, our guide introduced us to some of the best Scottish folk songs that we are still listening even though we are back in Boston. We explored some of the fascinating valleys of Scottish highland, saw some of the largest and deepest lakes of Scotland, and tasted some of the delicious foods. This experience couldn't have been possible without our pilot Cameron Sharp who is a scientist, ecologist, history lover, ex-park ranger, and a great human being. Cameron is a guide of the guides. I can go to any destination if I know that I will have Cameron with me on the journey.

A trip to remember

We had an outstanding tour hosted by Alan. The bus was very comfortable, our driver Alan was an excellent historian, host and a delight. We saw amazing sights. Beautiful scenery. Take this small bus tour over the large bus tours as you can get to places the big busses can’t get to.
