We had the absolute best time! Our tour guide was Lamia and she was very knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time and were able to see all the spots. Our driver, Haitham, was great as well.

Firstly thank you to Lamia for a amazing tour. From start to finish it was perfect. Lamia was the best guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour itself is perfect. Sakkara, Memphis and Dahshur is a must visit when visiting Cairo. Just as impressive as Giza with A LOT less people. Inside one of the Sakkara Pyramids is the most amazing and well preserved wall of hieroglyphs. Seeing this was a highlight of our trip. Everything about this tour is 5 stars. The locations, the lunch and the amazing tour guide Lamia, all 5 stars. Definitely recommend this tour. Thank for a amazing day.

Amazing experience at GEM

The tour was short as GEM opened at 9am due to Eid holidays and we had to head back to the airport in the afternoon for our flight. However, it was all worth it. King Tut's Exhibition is a must-see!

Cairo!!!

Spending time with Ms. Lamia was like experiencing a slice of Egypt. Her knowledge, accuracy and the passion with which she shared the stories of Ancient Egypt and also how it ties to the present was something I would definitely like to bookmark for my future visits. What really impressed me was how she could tailor it for my eight-year-old and kept her engaged all through. A definite recommendation!!!

Real GEM of Cairo

The Grand Egyptian Museum is a real peace of art. The building itself is astonishing! Inside king Ramses II will greet you upon arrival. Now it is possible to watch an immersive 30 minutes 3D show and climb up the stairs with statues of kings and gods alongside. Had an amazing experience into the history of ancient Egypt with our guide Lamia. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Small Group Tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum!

We loved this small group tour of the partially open Grand Egyptian Museum. The tour guide, Mina, coordinated with us via WhatsApp prior to the tour about the planned pick-up time at our hotel as he was making multiple stops. There were a total of 9 participants and the van comfortably accommodated everyone. Mina efficiently got us through the security checkpoint (note that only cell phones are allowed for taking pictures). The museum is partially open and Mina provided in-depth commentary as he led us around the Grand Hall (with a huge statue of Ramses II) and the Grand Stairway with themed groupings of statues, sarcophigi, and building elements. The King Tut immersive experience was included too. Mina was extraordinarily patient and considerate, while waiting for my wife and I to make our way down the Grand Staircase which has limited handrails, to ensure we were able to hear his presentations along the way. We are most grateful to Mina. The Grand Egyptian Museum tour provided us with a wonderful opportunity to see this partially open magnificent museum.

Magical place illustrated by a magical guide!

What more can you say about the knowledge that Mahmoud possesses about Egypt!!! Ive utilized GetYourGuide for excursions all around the world and I have never met a guide that was more studious, passionate and interpersonal than my guy Mahmoud!! To say Egypt is one thing but to have someone divulge to you in immaculate fashion, the history of such a magical place is uncanny!! Tour with Mahmoud

A very good day with our guide Mahmoud, passing through the Cairo Civilization Museum, to visits to the Pyramids of Gizah and the Sphynx. We also saw the use of Papyrus and a perfumery. Very interesting day, our guide Mahmoud was patient and explained well to us. 🇪🇬❤️🤍🖤 تحيا مصر

Great time discovering the pyramids

We had an amazing time with Lamia visiting the pyramids She was very knowledgeable and shares a lot of interesting insight She is also super flexible about the time we had, the things we wanted to see I would warmly recommend joining her in her tours We also took the photographer option, which was a nice addition

The New Grand Museum is a must see!

Paulo was an excellent guide. He was interesting, helpful, knowledgeable and his English was easy to understand. The museum was enormous, very modern with an excellent design and lighting. The exhibits were well explained and beautifully positioned and lighted. The Tutankhamen experience was more fun than interesting. We look forward to seeing it again when it is finished inside.

Do you want to Time Travel ?

There are good guides but there is only ONE Youssef Shaaban With a big smile he meets you with great history knowledge and warm heart . He transports you backwards in time and space and really makes you feel like you are there in that era. So the question is do you want a guide or a time travel? 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Youssef is a phenomenal guide

Youssef was our tour guide, and he did a fantastic job! He really knows his history, and was able to tell us so many details from memory and answer any questions we threw at him. He never rushed us and struck a good balance between guiding us through specific pieces in the museum or at the pyramids site versus letting us explore on our own. He knew great spots for photos where we’d be able to get an unobstructed view with no lines, and he gave us posing ideas. He even noticed that I liked the jewelry in one part of the exhibit and pointed out specific pieces and facts about the jewelry in a later one. He really went above and beyond and I can’t imagine having a better experience than what he gave us!

Great Family Experience! Superb Guide!!

We had such an amazing time on this tour! Our guide, Mr. Youssef, picked us up directly from the airport and gave us a warm welcome to Egypt. He was so knowledgeable, planned the trip bery efficiently and clearly explained the history behind all the landmarks we saw. We were able to see the great pyramids and the sphinx, up close and from a panoramic viewpoint as well. We rode camels, which was a thrilling experience. Then we got to experience the Egyptian museum and all of the amazing artifacts within. Mr Youssef explained all the details of each artifact very patiently & answered all questions very eagerly. Then we stopped by Al-Azhar mosque, the old city walls & gate, the Khan Al-Khalil market and other locations. I highly recommend folks to take advantage of the service provided by Mr. Youssef, his arrangements and knowledge.

Grand Egyptian Museum will be a must see

I toured the Grand Museum with Lamia from @Getyourguide. She was a fantastic guide whom I would highly recommend. I can’t wait to come back to Cairo to see the museum once it has fully opened. It is beautiful building and I’m sure the entire collection will be as impressive.

Wonderful two days in Cairo with Ahmed

We cannot praise our two lovely Ahmed’s enough (guide and driver) for looking after us so brilliantly for two days. So much knowledge and professionalism, we were blown away. It wasn’t our first visit to Cairo, but it was definitely our best! Nothing was too much trouble for our kind Egyptologist/guide, everything went like clockwork and special praise to Ahmed Ali for driving us miraculously through the crazy traffic of Cairo. We will definitely return to spend more time in their company. We came as tourists but parted as friends 😎

Wonderful experience

The experience was amazing, the food was amazing and the tour guide was very informative on the food and places we visited. Would definitely recommend, I went as a solo traveler but it’s the type of experience that would be wonderful with a group of friends as well 10/10.

Full day tour from Alexandria to Cairo

Can’t say enough about the shore excursion booked through Ramasside tours for our Alexandria stop. Since our ship was docked for an extra day we wanted to maximize the time in port by traveling to Cairo and seeing the pyramids and all the historical spots one would want to see. Ramasside provided the best opportunity for that. The day started with solid communication from our assigned guide Youssef. He sent constant WhatsApp messages letting me know where he was waiting for me and my group off the ship. He also sent pictures of what he was wearing. We met up with him and the driver of our van and explored Egypt for a full day. Youssef was outstanding. His knowledge of the area and the historical tidbits he imparted was second to none. He kept us feeling constantly safe while providing helpful advice on how to navigate the area and avoid the pushy vendors at the sites we visited. He was like our own personal tour guide and bodyguard. We spent over 12 hours with Youssef before being dropped off at our ship later in the evening. If you have an opportunity to book a full day tour with Ramasside, ask for Youssef. He went above and beyond with us and his years studying at the University on the archeological importance of this area were on full display. He and the tour were all outstanding. Book with confidence.

Best way to see the Egyptian Museum and Pyramids on a day tour from Alexandria

Absolutely fabulous private tour with Paula from Rameses Tours. Paula and also his driver were very professional, knowledgeable about Egyptian history and Egypt in general. He was courteous and friendly and accommodating to all 6 passengers. He truly went above and beyond for us all.

Wonderful day trip to the pyramids

The tour was incredible as I have always wanted to see the pyramids. Paula is an amazing guide, he was humorous but still very attentive to our needs all the time and gave very clear explanations to the history of the sites. I would totally recommend! Note: Unfortunately the GEM is only partially open so we were only able to visit the great hall.

Fast, fun and informative!

Wow, what a wonderful day! We had a fast and full day of the major highlights of Cairo. Unfortunately Cairo is a 3 hour plus bus ride away from port so we didn’t have much time to view everything despite spending overnight in the Cairo. The hotel was the best I ever stayed in, Mina the guide was excellent- keeping us all together and moving through numerous sites while keeping us well informed. He even supported different activities at different sites so we got to crawl up a pyramid while others just chose to walk around. Excellent work, Mina!

Excellent two day ship excursion in Cairo

We went on a two-day trip from Port Said to Cairo, staying overnight at the Helnan Dream hotel in Cairo. On the first day we went to Memphis, The Citadel, The Pyramids and the Sphinx. On the second day we concentrated on Museums. Mina was our guide for the two days. He was an excellent guide, with expert knowledge and English. We can recommend Mina and Ramasside, the Tour Operator, for the Cairo overnight trip.

Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum.

Excellent tour with an excellent guide, Youssef. Youssef had an excellent knowledge of Egyptian history and we learnt an awful lot today We also had a very capable driver.

Great alternative to cruise ship excursion to Cairo and Giza

This tour is a fantastic alternative to the large cruise ship excursions! Paula, our guide, personalized the entire experience and we experienced the best of Cairo and Giza. The stops at the museum and our cruise on the Nile River we’re amazing. We enjoyed a great buffet luncheon before heading to see the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Highly recommend this tour!

A wonderful visit to Cairo and the pyramids

Had a great time seeing the pyramids and sphinx, and a dinner cruise on the Mile.. followed by a museum visit to see the mummified bodies of the ancient Pharaohs…. Outdoor museum in Memphis and Faluka on the Nile as well the step pyramid

Our guide Youssef was amazing and so knowledgeable around the history he made seeing wonderous sights even better as he was always able to answer any questions our small group had! our driver Ahmed was very professional as well and always assisted us ladies off the bus at every stop and always had a kind smile ! Youssef ensured that we had plenty of prime photo stops as well as timed our visits at each stop to make the most out of our visit… he even got me checked into the hotel after a long and very hot day he even gave us all a refreshing sugar cane drink from a local cafe ! I hope Youssef continues to be so passionate about the amazing history this city has . The trip itself was very comprehensive and I feel that I can say I have seen and done more in 2 days than I would have with some of the other tours I had researched.

Good tour

This was part of a 2-day cruise ship excursion from port said. The museum was our second day of the excursion. Our guide (Paula) picked us up at our hotel promptly at 9am as scheduled and brought us comfortably to the museum. Crowds were heavy, but he helped navigate us through the maze of people to see the most critical elements of the collection. He’s very knowledgeable, entertaining, and accommodating to our interests. We spent about 2 hours in the museum due to a tight schedule with other sites to see. And while I could have spent a full day there, we felt satisfied in seeing some real gems of the exhibits in our short time. Many thanks for Paula for keeping us on time & informed.

Wonderful first day of exploration in Egypt!

Had a wonderful time seeing the Grand Egyptian Museum, which is going to be fantastic when it fully opens. A huge thank you to my wife for finding out it is now partially open otherwise would have all missed out! The pyramids of Giza were my highlight and a great experience in being able to go inside the Great Pyramid which me and my son loved, albeit being rather cramped once inside! Youssef our guide was superb and helped us capture many family memories on camera and was so knowledgeable in being able to impart so much information on Egyptian history. A fantastic day

Cairo/Giza day trip

Cairo and Giza were some of the greatest places I have been so far on my travels, and it was made all the better due to having the best tour guide in Paula. His knowledge of the area and passion for the area helped me learn things I would never otherwise have heard. This on top of his fantastic personality and good sense of humour make this a must do experience.
