Perfect lake tour of Geneva

The tour guide was well prepared with delicious snacks and wine (and juice for the kids). This boat tour was a relaxing way to see Geneva in an hour.

Lake Tour

A good trip lasting about 1 hour with wine and a selection of cheeses with crackers served onboard. Covered only part of this massive lake and sailed close to the fountain. My only issue was - was finding the landing stage. We arrived at the quayside well in advance but could not find exactly where landing stage 4 was, many quayside workers did not know where no 4 was nor vendors or even a tickets kiosk. Having run up and down the quay 3 times we were about to give up . My wife phoned the company who got the vendor on the phone who explained it was opposite a certain hotel - that info would have made matters far simpler. Although late we were allowed to join the tour as did two other people who joined a couple of minutes later. Once on the boat it was a good trip but tainted by the poor directions of the location of the boat.

Great host! So much fun, beautiful views, and good snacks. An amazing experience for a small cost! So worth it! Highly recommend!

Fraud with tourist and worst service

It was absolutely fraud with the tourists. the worst cruise ever booked as it was supposed to provide wine and aperitif but no wine or any aperitif provided. Just a round in the boat. The rate is also too high.. it should be 5 -10 Euro.

Don’t trust this boat trip! It could be a con!

Don’t go! We never found the meeting point. There was no signage and no one looked for us or rang us! We arrived half an hour early and waited at the exact point indicated on the map! We never saw the described boat or saw the boat leave! When we rang the office they told us we had missed it but we were there waiting at the exact indicated spot! We applied for a refund and was refused it! There were 3 of us, a couple and a friend, which meant 3 of us to judge where to find the boat too! We are £75 euros out of pocket. I recommend you not to trust this trip!

None. We waited half an hour at the meeting point (which I checked by phone with the help desk) by the grey crane. Ten minutes after the boat was due we phoned the help desk and apparently the boat came in at the other side of the crane and left without us. The pilot never bothered to see if we were there, if there even was a boat! What a con!!! We were at the appointed meeting g point and nobody met us then said it had left without us. Really disappointing experience, and they refuse to refund our money. Definitely avoid this trip!!

Great way to enjoy the lake...

It's a delightful way to spend an hour on Lake Geneva, enjoy wine and aperitif and see much of the shoreline. A dozen passengers at most so there is plenty of room to move around and take photos. My only negative comment is that some of the images on the website are misleading since you won't actually see some of them. Still, a nice cruise.

Nice way to see the area

Small boat, seating for 12, every seat had a good view. A little hard to find (when they said to the left of the grey crane they meant it, literally docked on the crane). Getting to try a variety of swiss cheeses was fun and the snack was quite good and filling. Generous with the wine. Took us right below Jet l'eau so I have great pics and video. Views from the lake cant be beat

Not good.

Poor sightseeing cruise. Appertif was appalling, plastic cheese in tupperware box. Cheap wine in plastic cups. Dull. Not worth it. They definitely need to add commentary to this trip. So boring.

Tiny boat, insufficient for this area.

This is an extremely small boat with no toilet facility at all. How this could be rated as the 3rd most liked thing to do in Geneva is astounding. It is also open to the rain and wind. There are several other options with bathrooms and inside areas that can hold 20 or more people. The prices are almost identical. Do your homework. This is like a 20ft fishing boat.

Lake cruise

Really lovely hour spent on the lake with choice of drinks and snacks . Would do this trip again . Modern boat, kindly skipper.

Don’t book online, book at a ticket office so you can find the embarkation point

Was unable to find the embarkation point due to no signage. The gps dropped me off at #2 and further along was #6 then #8. Apparently I needed to continue past #8 to find #4. The ticket office at #2 wouldn’t help me as not same company. I tried calling the number on Viator for help and no one answered. After 45 minutes of searching I managed to find the departure point 5 minutes after the departure time and watched the boat. There was a man sitting on the grey crane who offered no help.

The Guide Was the Difference

It was a cold windy day but our guide (greek gentleman, but forgot his name) was a great host. He provided great hospitality.

Great intimate and romantic Sight seeing

Very cute little boat painted like a cow. Kids really loved it. It's quite intimate and romantic , you sit inside like a small restaurant (it fits around a dozen people realistically). Boat captain was very nice and helpful. Drinks and snacks for everyone. Be careful if its windy there are some waves, I enjoyed it but some people might be a bit spooked.

Fantastic way to see lake Geneva

A great experience and a fantastic way to explore lake Geneva! Friendly and helpful team and a super relaxing atmosphere. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend!

Relaxing and enjoyable

If you’re looking for a boat tour that provides you with a bunch of historical information, this is not for you. If you are open to just floating around the lake while enjoying some wine, cheese, meats and beautiful view - check this out! We met some really fun people. The boat only holds about a dozen people. The gentleman operating the boat was a wonderful host. We had gorgeous weather and it was near sunset. A lovely way to spend an hour on your visit.

Nice cruise, great value

Lovely cruise on Lac Lamon with nice nibbles and wine. Friendly skipper. Great views. No narrative, but sometimes you simply let the sights speak for themselves.

What a fabulous experience.

Well to start with it was a lovely day and easy to find the meeting location. Once onboard we were greeted by the crew with smiles, drinks and lovely small finger food. We were onboard for an hour, really good locations in which we saw many attractions from the water. I would 100% recommend as great value for money.

A perfect memory of a most pleasant holiday!

We enjoyed this beautifully relaxing and picturesque cruise and highly recommend it! The wine and cheese were a lovely touch, and the size of the boat was perfect. Our skipper was congenial and easy to chat with. A perfect end to a wonderful few days in Geneva! Top marks for this sightseeing adventure.

Fun cruise of Lake Geneva

We had a fantastic time on this short but entertaining cruise. We got to see all the major sites up close and really enjoyed ourselves.

Good for a short trip. Arrive early to get your own table.

The boat driver was lovely and I liked that it was a zero emission boat. We got there early so got lucky to get a table for one couple however there are only two tables on the boat that are for two people. The rest are for four so if you are not a group of four your will be grouped with another couple. We felt bad for the couple in the back as they were in a small booth and had two more people squished in with them. For the price we enjoyed the trip, especially as we had our own table, however it would have been nice for the boat to go a bit further up the lake. We didn’t go very far, mainly just around the fountain.

Lovely way to see Geneva

I only had a short evening to explore Geneva, so this cruise was a great way to get oriented with the beautiful landscape of the city and surrounding region. I especially loved the zero-emission, solar-powered boat! Oh, and having some Swiss wine and cheese to boot wasn't half bad either :) The only drawback was that it was quite a short trip, but overall I'd recommend!

Great small group view of Geneva

Great little tour of the lake for an hour to see Geneva from a different angle. The wine and appetisers were also a nice bonus on a small group trip. Definitely recommend

The sightseeing was the most memorable moments for me. The beautiful sea of water. We were cold and the tour guide had warm blankets for us, I also appreciated that.

Its worthless 45 min small boat trip. Viator shouldn’t promote this kind of trip. There is lot of boat cruise in Geneva which viator can promote

Beautiful for couples!!!

The boat captain was amazing! We were served wine and prepared cheeses, crackers, and cold salad. The views were beautiful and we were able to get right next to the fountain!

Lunch time boat ride on the Savoie.

The boat ride on the Savoie was indeed very pleasant. We had lunch. Fortunately the restaurant was not full. The staff seemed overwhelmed and didn't listen correctly to our order for wine. The wrong was brought and when the correct wine was brought it was dumped on the table. They were also not helpful with information about the menu. It is quite possible that many tourists are ripped off when it comes to paying the bill as we almost were. We had to clarify several points of the bill before finally settling. Very annoying.

Wine, cheese with a mind blowing 360 view of the lake!

Beautiful and very relaxing boat ride to experience the sunset on the lake. View of the mountain was really mind blowing making the trip worth the price!

Wonderful little boat ride

Loved this hour-long experience! Small boat of 12 people. You get a table and a generous snack of 4 different cheeses, crackers and tuna along with wine and water. Captain knew all the great angles for photos. Perfect way to experience the lake.

What a fun cruise!! We had the boat to ourselves. The driver was great! Had some wine and cheese snacks. Would definitely recommend!!

Great tour!

Views were great, our driver made this family cruise fun for the adults and kids. Very low key and our families were able to relax and keep an eye on the kids.

Expensive

Expensive but very pleasant. No commentary but we enjoyed the wine. Tuna is a little ofd as a snack. Get to see the lake! Quiet boat.

Terrific cruise

As it happened I was the only passenger. Party for one. It was amazing and relaxing. I highly recommend it!

Stay away; go in person and buy from booth.

Fair warning, I am writing this review not have actually gone on the trip. First, I arrived 30 minutes early to the exact address provided by this vendor. I called and received instructions but after 30 minutes of looking, I found the place. Then, I showed up and it was a little dinky boat with all of the tables and seats filled with people. I decided it was not in my best interest to try to squeeze in with random people I don’t know rather than sit with my travel partner. They clearly oversold the boat. Honestly, just show up day of your trip and buy tickets to a tour when you are there. Buying early won’t do you any good, and hopefully speaking to someone at the tour booth can make it easier to find the boat you do end up paying for.

Relaxing evening in geneva

The cruise was amazing and the wine and cheese paired well with it. The amazing sights, weather, and aperitif make for a relaxing evening. The driver was also very kind. I liked how the group was rather small so it felt more private.

Awful experience

The instructions are not very clear. There is no way to contact the vendor after 5 pm, while our excursion time was 7:00 PM. Ended up waiting for nothing and left without doing the excursion. Awful experience!!!

Nice way to kill an hour

It’s a very nice time! Lovely little snacks and a very friendly captain. They took us UNDER the big water spout thing and we got rather wet. They also offered us a second glass of wine which was 👌 it’s a nice little experience and a good value but nothing super special or edifying.

Relaxing ride

Friendly captain, good apps, great wine, and gorgeous views! Thank you for a fun evening. Highly recommend. We were lucky the sun was shining and saw rainbows in the mist of the Jet d’eau!

Very relaxing

The boat ride was amazing, it was just what we needed to unwind. Because the boat is electric it didn't make a sound, felt like we were quietly floating on water. At the start of the trip we were served some cheese, bread, tuna, and drinks. So as we floated on the water we had a lovely little snack alongside the views. It's not a fast boat ride so if you are looking for a quick ride this isn't for you. The boat ride is very calm and soothing just like the sail boat. Also they take you right next to the fountain which was wonderful to see and feel the mist from it.

Strongly recommend

Such an amazing views (with basic aperitif/ snacks) on the boat with a super nice and helpful captain. We fortunately saw a rainbow on Jet d’Eau waterfall. Would be perfect if there was a sign/guide to find the boat.

Beware scant directions

Most memorable was the awful treatment I received - inadequate directions meant that my wife and I couldn’t find the boat, but as no blame has been accepted by Viator or Swisstours we are now £50 out of pocket for a “never had” experience - absolutely disgrace from any company!!!!!

A fun hour on the water

Peaceful, nice captain, max 12 people. Wine and snacks were fine - a great way to spend an hour on the water. Someone complained about lack of wine - it was plenty and we got refills! Captain was friendly - no commentary but just an hour out on the water seeing the lake and Jet d’Eau. Highly recommend - nothing fancy but not that expensive either!
