Real feeling 🔝 of the nature. Mixed feelings of excitement. Had real experience of decreasing the oxygen of my body I felt the pressure through my body muscles and head. One of the best feelings and experienced worth to visit and I will come back again one day 🙏❤️

£146 for a bus ride to Chamonix

Per the description of the trip and itinerary (photos attached), we were expecting to visit the Mer de Glace and Aiguille du Midi. On arrival at Chamonix we were advised that the cable cars don’t operate this time of year and no access is available to either - at no point was this communicated before/after my booking. Tried to contact the company to arrange a partial refund but they were not interested, although they have now amended the description of the tour per my complaint. If you do this trip yourself with Flixbus it would cost no more than £30.

Beautiful trip

Although the weather wasn’t sunny, the cable cars were closed, our guide was very nice and we went up to mer de glace by train. Which was magical nonetheless. It was snowing and very cold. After returning to town Chamonix, the guide did a quick show of the main spots, food tips, and let us do and go wherever wanted. Indeed a very well, easy and enjoyable experience.

Brilliant trip to Chamonix but be aware this price is for transport only

We had an amazing time on this trip to Chamonix but be aware this price is just for the transport and the train cost an additional £50 each. We went in December and the cable card was not in operation due to maintenance that happens for a few months of the year as well so be aware it might not be open and if it is will again cost extra. The mountain train was highly worth it though and the town of Chamonix is also very nice and much cheaper than Geneva.

Anthony was wonderful! So helpful and knowledgeable. And funny! Scenery was amazing!!! Bus was very comfortable too.

Fun guides and a beautiful day

Extremely nice guides and we liked having free time. The attractions being separate was confusing from the initial descriptions on the website. We still had a wonderful day thanks mostly to the two fun guides .

Overprice tour with no fun activities

Average tour nothing great . Due to bad weather many things were closed so just charging 100$ USD for transfer from Geneva to Chamonix and back seemed pricy . Had to pay additional 30$ for the cable car. The chamonix town is small and pretty average . Most of the shops were closed to nothing much to do. Overall very average tour and over priced.

Great memories

The journey to Chamonix was breathtaking and the tour operator was very nice and informative. The bus ride was pleasant and return. it was my 50th birthday celebrations and we were very happy

Chamonix off season not worth the trip

There were many reasons why I was disappointed in this trip. 1) it was never made clear that Chamonix is in off season right now. Normally that wouldn’t bother me. But apparently that means that some businesses are closed completely and others are only open limited hours. For example, it would have been really helpful to know that there is only one restaurant open at all and it is only open for lunch from noon to 2 then the kitchen is closed until 7pm for dinner. That would have been important information for anyone wanting to have lunch in the village. 2) I arrived late because I injured myself on the way to the tour pickup spot. There were two employees that I interacted with. One of them was very kind and did everything within his power and authority to make me comfortable while I dealt with a painful and frustrating situation. The other employee was curt and very unsympathetic. When I asked if I could get a refund, it was a flat out “no.” Why, then, does the app have a button to request a refund? When I asked if there was going to be a lot of walking she very flippantly said “it’s a village. You walk around as much as you like.” But the village was practically vacant. I had hoped to spend time relaxing somewhere with a view so I could rest my back and maybe have a nice meal. If I had known that wasn’t going to be possible I would not have even gone. So basically this was just an $80 bus ride. Totally not worth it. Don’t go to Chamonix off season. Save your money and spend time in Geneva.

Misled, Mis-sold and Angry About It!!!

We booked the Self Guided tour of Chamonix because, according to Trip Advisor, it included both the cable car and glacier train but didn’t tie us down to a tour group. This was confirmed when we got our e-tickets. Once we were on the coach, Chris the guide advised us that it was transport only and didn’t include any other tickets. When I pointed out what was written on my e-ticket, he more or less rolled his eyes and said “Oh Tripadvisor!”. We had to pay to upgrade. I’m glad we did because the trip on the cable car and the glass cube were amazing. However I’m really angry at being misled in this way. I can’t imagine what our day would’ve been like had we not been able to afford the upgrade. Also Tripadvisor or the tour company also mis-sold the glacier train tickets knowing that it had already stopped running for the season.

Tour guide was good and...

Tour guide was good and helpful. However we were informed by the tour guide that the €83 only covered the transport. We then had to pay another €80 each for the cable car and train. Information provided by viatour was incorrect and misleading.

The Aiguile du Midi was a...

The Aiguile du Midi was a unique experience. The Mer de Glace was not open. Did not get enough chance to explore Chamonix. I had to be alert because tour guide doesn't wait if one is not in time at the specified spot, which made it a bit stressful.

Amazing trip!

The views from Mount Blanc were breathtaking. Loved it! The train to the glacier was great. Did not explore ice caves because of all the stair to get there and back.

Bucket list - a must do

Chris was a great guide - supporting all guests with multiple requests. The bus was clean and comfy (hot for me) , the journey was smooth and had just the right amount of commentary. We were very lucky with the weather - keep an eye prior to travel and switch if you need to . Chamonix was stunning as expected, the cable car queue was very quick and we were taken up to the views . Beware of altitude if you haven’t been 😳, it’s worth going to the top and is no extra cost . Again the train to the glacier takes in stunning views. Over all the day was well paced and organised, we saw breathtaking views and would highly recommend, Chris made us feel looked after thanks 😊

Fair

The bus ride had some great scenery. Sadly the Gondola does not run from 11/15-12/15 for routine maintenance. Instead of shorting the day, we were left to roam around Chamonix for 3 or so hours just waiting for the Train ride. Most restaurants were closed because it was morning. Chamonix excursion

The most beautiful nature veiw in the alpes. Especially the cable car to the top of mont blanc and the train too. Very Recommended.

Beautiful scenery!

This is a wonderful tour, the only thing that would have made it better is if we could have gone to the top. Beware the 500 steps down to the glacier you have to climb back up but worth the trek down.

<p>The ride wasn't too long, about 1 1/2 hours. The guide was a bit grouchy but we ignored him. The town was so amazing and quaint. The lift to the top f Mont Blanc was scary. If you are afraid of heights you may want to think twice and the air was very thin! It was cold, icy and raining at the top so we didn't get to see much. The lunch was at the most adorable restaurant and we are still talking about it! Really loved it. The train ride was fun but again, if you are afraid of heights once you get up the hill on the train you may want to stay in the restaurant/store if you don't want to ride another lift down to the ice caves. Over 400 steps to climb up and down in the ice caves. All in all this was a pretty scary but fun adventure.</p>

El clima es una lotería

En general todo estuvo bien. El guía muy agradable. Son muy pocas horas para disfrutar por lo qué hay que correr un poco. Nos tocó un día nublado así que tendremos que volver.

All inclusive far too expensive. program not adhered to.

We booked the package tour for CHF 210 per person. Fellow travelers did not book this package, but booked the bus trip, the cable car and the trip to the Glacier de la Mer separately online for CHF 150 per person. We were together all day, except that lunch was included in our offer. We cannot understand the large price difference. \nThe afternoon program to the Glacier de la Mer did not take place because the cable car was closed. We were informed much too late, only at 2:30 p.m.! As compensation, we only received CHF 20 per person back, despite complaints on our part.
