A Day in Geneva

Awesome trip that gives you great views of the city! I highly recommend doing both the land and boat tours, you will be sure to have a good time.

Disappointing - use free public transport and do it yourself

This would have to be the worst sightseeing tour I have been on. If you only have a couple of hours in Geneva and are happy to whiz past the sights with very little useful commentary then this is your tour. It would be better to use the free public transport that Geneva gives all visitors to get around and then look up the sights in Wikipedia. The information you get will at least have some useful content and you will have the opportunity to look closely at what you are seeing. This is not a hop on hop off experience so once you get on you will find your self doing a loop and then going back to the start. We decided to hop off the bus half way through and then walk back to get a closer look at the sights which turned out to be amazing. I would suggest that the guides give a little more in depth information about the sights - eg how did the water jet come to be in the middle of the lake. I also think that the ticket office needs to be clearer about the tour. I asked whether we could get off to take photos and he said yes the driver will explain. There are three photo stops of about 5 mins each in a 75 minute ride around town. Lastly the bus roof was rolled back but not secured so each time the bus stopped and then took off it rolled forwards and backwards along the tracks. It was very difficult to hear the guide over the noise and I’m sure he must have heard it but seemed oblivious to the loud noise. I finally asked at a stop whether it could be fixed and it was but why did I have to ask ??

Gabriel was outstanding! I learned so much about Geneva from his narrative. He is a wonderful ambassador for Geneva & your company. The train was a fun ride through the old city. Lastly the boat was a relaxing way to wrap it up, with fabulous snacks. The Captain was a sweet man, who went out of his way to enhance of ride with information. Gabriel took such care to be certain all were comfortable & knew how to get where they needed to be. I had a fantastic experience, thank you. -dlf

Keytours the worst Switzerland tour operator

On the day of the tour we arrived before the agreed time when the tour time arrived and we and others people who would participate in the tour did not see the bus or the guide, we began to ask at the keytours offices in front of the meeting point and no one knew anything information they only told us wait outside of these, 35 minutes later the guide arrived and told us that the bus was broken, 50 minutes after the time set for the tour, the bus arrived, as a result of this delay when we arrived at the dock for the boat cruise, it was close and we had to wait about 3 hours to catch the boat at another dock, we can not wait that long because we had to take the train to return to Zurich which was where we staying, so we missed that part of the tour after having paid for it .

Perfect Get Acquainted with Geneva Tour

Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Most of our tours are out of the city so it was nice to see and get to know the city of Geneva better. The first hour or so was on the bus and took us primarily to the international part of town. Then we took the mini train tour through Old Town and got acquainted with that area. Finally we took a one hour boat ride on the lake which was just beautiful. We both felt it was a great introduction to Geneva and we enjoyed it very much.

Okay tour

Okay bus and mini train tour. Meet up could have been better executed. Narrative on bus was difficult to hear. Driver did a decent job of getting views to sites. Ministration was okay. Good narration but not enough stops.

It was absolutely worth it

It’s a perfect overview of Geneva city history, not too long, not too short, just enough to get an idea and some general knowledge about Geneva. My favorite part was the tour to the old town and a boat ride. We got right to the bottom of the fountain. It was cool. I highly recommend the tour!

Geneva City tour

Just an average city tour. Being honest, never liked the 5 minute stop for pictures on broken chair. There were a lot of crowd and to take turns for pictures, no way it could be done in 5 mins, it could've been extended to 15mins at least. Old city tour was good. Boat cruise, we were just left there to ride with ourselves, no orientation or anything. Seemed like, we're being rushed and never had chances to take wonderful pictures. Guide wasn't really accommodating in my opinion, just finishing up a work day, not very conversational except for what he needed to say in the bus. This was on a Sunday 2pm slot, May 12th, 2024.

Big tour bus for 3 people. With all due respect to environment concerns expressed by tour guide - it was weird. Otherwise: well organized, covered most landmarks, good experience with train and great experience with boat private tour.

A short day trip to see Geneva

A great way to see as much of what Geneva has to offer on a tight schedule. The tour guide Gabriel was excellent giving us the running commentary throughout the tour and looking after us. We would have loved to have had more time to stop and take in the many points of interest.

Great tour for those unfamiliar with the city -- interesting facts and the end little train ride through historic Geneva was just the right touch. Not too long and not too short! Gabrille (guide) and Orlando (driver) made it extra special!

Great way to get a feel for what Geneva has to offer.

I fund this tour to be a great and relaxing way to get an overall view of Geneva to help plan further excursions around this amazing city! The bus tour part showed us the UN and Red Cross as well as the international part of the city. The train ride took us around the old town and its many sites. The boat ride on Lake Lemond was very relaxing and some wine was served which made it even more relaxing. Our tour guide was very outgoing and informative during the bus ride. Overall, I had a very good experience and all my expectations were exceeded

Value for money. Informative pleasant and enjoyable

Gabrielle was a well informed and pleasant guide for bus tour. Old town tour on train was good but information on speakers hard to hear & understand but enjoyable. Boat trip on Lake Leman was also very enjoyable.

Skip the City Tour and Go Straight to the Boat!

The city tour was just mediocre. The guide was very nice but the whole tour could have lasted 45 minutes. No way we could have walked the whole route but we could have seen a lot with public transport and saved a lot! On the old town tram, I couldn’t hear any of the audio. It was frustrating. The boat cruise on the other hand was spectacular! The captain was fabulous and it was so enjoyable.

Lake Cruise, going past the water shooting straight into the air was amazing. The mini train tour. Being able to see a lot of the town was inspiring.

City tour was excellent. Boat ride on lake with drinks and nibbles was excellent. Highly recommend. Don’t have anything else to add here

Loved the boat tour and bus tour. Gabriel is a wonderful guide. We also enjoyed exploring the international area.

3 mini trips of fun.

The first part tool inthe International area. I enjoyed seeing building of places I'd only seen on TV like the UN. The stop at the broken chair was nice. Second part was the old town. It was brief but showed me where I needed to go back to. Third part on the little cruise boat was fab. The smaller boat went where the big paddle steamer couldn't. The wine and nibbles were a nice treat.

The first half of tour on the bus was ok, but the second half of the tour, the boat cruise was the best part.

The lake cruise was wonderful and the wine, cheese, crackers and Tuna was unexpected. Very pleassnt.

Not the best tour.

Not the best tour. Firstly the bus tour of the international part. The bus had open windows and as it was raining, seats were all wet. Secondly, the tram tour of the old city. The sound system was so low we couldn’t hear. Then the boat cruise was swapped to a bigger boat. But there was no commentary at all. Hence we sat on a crowded boat and just sailed up and back. We learnt very little of Geneva in the 3 hours.

TOTAL RIP OFF AND HORRIBLE UNCARING CUSTOMER SERVICE

We had our day ruined because of bad communication between the local company and us. I was there at the Geneva bus station at 2 and there was no signage or anything for VIator. When the previous tour unloaded they said wait on the bus. Then when it was time to depart they said, no, your tour left 15 minutes ago. But there had been no other tour bus in view! Service personnel had a 0% caring attitude, rude and ZERO customer service

Avoid at all costs

I checked in 20 minutes early for the tour at the bus station. Tour operator representative told me to wait for a bus that said Swiss Tours/Key Tours on it. There was a bus with this on it so I waited for that bus. Apparently the tour was on a bus called Geneva City Tours, which is not what I was told. I checked in for the bus and the bus left without me despite me standing right in the parking lot. When I complained the tour company said I checked in after the tour left, which is a bold face lie because I have the boat ticket the representative gave me before the tour. I would avoid using this company at all costs.

Avoid Key Tours and Geneva City Tours at all costs

I checked in early and the tour operator told me to wait for the wrong bus. The actual bus left without me despite the fact I was checked in but not on the bus because I was told to wait for a different bus. I would avoid Key Tours at all costs. After I complained to them they told me I checked in late after the bus left, which is a lie. I even have the boat ticket that was part of the tour, how could I have that if I checked in late?

Boat tour. It is amazing, calm, and relaxing. I recommend it to everybody, you will enjoy it a lot. Nice clear water, good wine, and butifull music.

This was an essential tour that helped get us our bearings in the city. Beautiful area, with luxury retail shopping and great food everywhere you go.

Surprises!

The entire tour was wonderful. The train through old Town was a surprise as were the snacks and wine during the boat tour. The only drawback was the non-stop commentary of the tour guide pertaining to unnecessary things, like what was happening with the traffic, how warm it was, etc.

A one-day tourist in Genève

I only had one day in Genève so this tour allowed me to see the international, modern sector of the city, the older, hilly sector across the river in comfort, and enjoy food and drink on the lake. Very well organised.

Geneva - quick and easy

A great way to know Geneva in a single 3 hour trip. Keytours also have a good service - I booked the afternoon tour originally but due to a Pride event, the tour couldn’t proceed as scheduled. Keytours emailed me the evening before with recommendations and I was able to change to the morning tour. Prompt service. The bus and train / tram component should not be missed as these will give you the info about the city. For the boat, it’s optional as it was rather small. And there are bigger ships that you can take which should give a better experience

Excellent and fun tour

This tour was so much fun. From the bus guided tour, to a fun little train ride through old city, to a relaxing boat ride across Lake Leman with wine and cheese. Our guide, Gabrielle, made the tour extra special. Kept us informed and entertained. I would recommend this tour!

Nothing to see

There wasn't really much to see on this tour. We saw several government buildings and that was about it. The boat cruise was really boring. We just went out of the harbor and back. There was nothing really to see and there was no narration about anything along the shore. Would not waste my money on this excursion.
