This tour experience was fantastic, highly recommend! Very experienced and engaging tour guide(Martin) knowledgeable of the ecological, indigenous and white history of the Island delivered in a wonderfully respectful manner. Martin skilfully navigated the comfortable coach with seatbelts over the tricky one way sand tracks while providing commentary about the transitional forests and unique geological formations. Sightings of Whales, Dingos, kingfisher and other birds. Thank-you

Thoroughly worthwhile

The day ran smoothly from pick-up to drop-off. We saw an array of wildlife ( including whales, dingos and sea birds) and experienced a variety of vegetation zones. Our guide Blair was both informative and entertaining, covering a range of topics, cultural and nature based. The day was full but didn’t feel rushed. A buffet lunch provided ample nourishment for the day. All in all, highly recommend this tour.

Amazing trip

This tour company were amazing! Another tour company cancelled on me 15 minutes prior to departure and this company were able to add me to their tour very last minute instead without any hesitation. Seamless trip with an amazing guide (and driver) Steve. A wonderful day on K’Gari ending with a trip back on the sunset ferry watching the dolphins.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!

What an awesome tour!!! This tour is worth every penny and more in my opinion! Steve, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable, a really friendly guy that educated us on so many different things about the island. Honestly, I’d go on that tour again just for Steve’s commentary alone! I learnt so much that I can’t wait to get home and google all sorts of information that Steve shared with us. We even went on the joy flight and it only cost $100pp more. Totally worth it, we saw a pod of whales from the air, amazing! The buffet lunch was great, the 4WD coach comfortable and loads of fun. There’s way too much for me to share here but I guarantee you, you’ll LOVE IT! I was a little unsure about booking it at first as they suggested “moderate” fitness and I have some chronic pain and stability issues but I got through it easily because it was just so much fun. 10 out of 10 for a fantastic experience. Thank you to the tour company and especially Steve, my partner and I had an amazing day ☺️

Epic K’gari tour with Keith

What a fabulous day on K’gari… truly paradise island!!! Our guide Keith was a LEGEND!!! So much information and an obvious passion for what he is doing. Even getting bogged on 75 mile beach was value-added!! BOOK THIS TOUR!

Adventure 😊

The views was amazing. Seen whales and dingos !! We took so many photos, the bus lost its fan belts but that was perfectly fine got help within 20 minutes and also got lucky to see a dingo while being outside the tour bus. All Thanks To Kurt 😁

Awesome day out

What a day! Ferry ride to the island, magical sand tracks and rainforest. A swim in a pristine sand purified fresh water lake. Dingos, Whales, spectacular buffet lunch, sunset ferry ride home, just magical!

An absolute K’gari must do!

An absolutely incredible experience and a must do if visiting K’gari Fraser Island! Our guide, Martin, was outstanding - so knowledgeable and engaging and genuine. This tour as the name suggests takes you to all of K’gari’s key beauty spots and its mind blowingly beautiful. Driven around in a 4WD bus and a delicious buffet lunch at Mackenzie’s at K’gari Beach Resort.

Awesome day, 10 hours of wonder and amazing sights

Elissa was an awesome guide, she handled the 4WD bus with ease, excellent knowledge about the area, kept us safe and entertained! Highly recommend this day tour, you see Eli creek, the Maheno wreck, old growth rainforest walk, Lake McKenzie, and of course the Dingoes. Doing the tour covered much of the island, and saved wear & tear on our own 4WD!

We didn't know much about K'gari but after the tour we left with a new appreciation of how diverse this island is.

Such an amazing tour ably led by our guide, Keith who provided us with his intense knowledge of the island mixed with humour and Aussie music. 10 out of 10 Keith.

Awesome experience

This is an all out fantastic experience, Steve our bus driver was very good in informing us about the history of the island. The food was excellent and the views just beautiful. We took the plane that takes off and lands on the beach and the view’s from above were breathtaking. Highly recommend

Nothing could beat it!!

It was a great experience. It’s so fun to explore the island and world heritage with Steve in the bus! You get the feeling that you’re somewhere else on the planet, not just easily accessible and all damaged by humanity. It was beautiful, especially because I did a 15 minute flight over the island for just $100! It got offered in the middle of the tour and was exceptional! We saw dingoes, bathed in beautiful crystal clear water and got to know so much about the island. Lunch was great 😋😋😋 thank you so much, it made my experience more than awesome

A unique nature experience

Fantastic day with great tour guide, Andy. An 8 hour day packed with magnificent scenery, illuminated by educational and interesting commentary. Included great stops, both well timed and enjoyable. Started with a beach ride on 75 mile beach, and unique walks in pristine settings. The day included a welcome buffet lunch, and ended with a swim in a spectacular freshwater lake. A fantastic way to spend a day in nature and learn much in the process. Highly recommended.

Amazing day. Dave was a great tour guide. Morning tea was great. Lunch - Wraps were abit dry! Pineapple was not very ripe!

Day tour to paradise

Absolutely fantastic trip with Keith as our tour guide. He was full of interesting facts about the island (as well as unreal tunes for the bus ride) and was really passionate about the nature and history of the island! The scenery is absolutely stunning but Keith made it even better!

Highly recommend the 1 day tour with K’gari Explorer Tours. We were so well looked after from the moment we were collected to when we were dropped off and saw everything we wanted to see. Exceptional Kgari Day Tour

This was a wonderful day tour with our great guide, John. John was informative and professional on all aspects of the tour. We saw everything that made Kgari (Fraser Island) a great tourist attraction, dingoes, crystal clear Lake McKenzie for swimming, Eli Creek, rainforests, and the Maheno shipwreck. A really excellent day out!

We were picked up in Hervey Bay for the bus out to River Heads, where we caught the ferry across to Fraser Island. About 20 of us then boarded our 4WD coach, for what was one of the bumpiest experiences of my life! The tarmac runs out after leaving Kingfisher Bay resort, and the rest of the trip is either on pitted dirt roads, or the white sandy beach on the East coast. The tour took in the cool clear freshwater lake McKenzie, where we were able to have a 30-minute swim, then onto central station, for a forest walk, and then to K'Gari Beach resort, where we stopped for an adequate buffet lunch. The afternoon was spent driving along 75-mile beach, with the waves breaking to our side, and the endless stream of 4WD vehicles racing past us. You get used to it! We stopped at the SS Maheno shipwreck, The Pinnacles, and Eli Creek, where we had a paddle. There was also the opportunity for a short flight over the Island, although we passed on the chance! Then a long return drive back to catch the ferry, and to be dropped back in Hervey Bay after a 12-hour day. We had a fantastic time, and the Island is well worth seeing. Our guide was an endless source of relevant facts and info and was brilliant. I wish we could remember his name!

It was an amazing day seeing lots of wonderful places on the island. Impressed by knowledge and driving skills of our guide, Kurt. Age range of our group was 7- 72 and suitable for all. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect K'gari Day Tour!

My girlfriend and I booked this tour very last minute and was unsure what to expect as all we wanted was to see the island. We had an easy connection to the island which consisted of a bus to the ferry and a ferry across from which our tour guide Kurt welcomed us onto his 4x4 bus. We got to see some amazing sights on the island, including: Lake Makenzie, Central Station and Eli Creek. All whilst Kurt was providing us with unique and very interesting stories and information regarding these locations. We also took an optional flight across the island which was a tiny bit expensive for a 15 minute experience, but we thoroughly enjoyed it - this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Overall, Kurt ensured we had an amazing time on K'Gari. We have been on many tours similar to this one across Australia, but Kurt's passion for the island and wildlife resulted in this being our most enjoyable tour so far. Kurt has been our best tour guide and we would highly reccomend him and this tour to anyone! Thanks, Kurt!

Amazing day out with fantastic guides

Had an amazing day led by our guide Kurt. We had a very full group but Kurt ensured everyone had a great time. We had plenty of time at each of the stops and Kurt was extremely personable and knowledgeable on all the areas. We saw a good number of Dingos and the provided buffet lunch was good quality. Cannot rate Kurt high enough 🙌

Loved the tour so much

We had the best time. Our guide Curt made sure we got to see all the good spots and he also told us so many interesting facts about the island. We would totally recommend this tour.

Had the best day on this tour thanks to the best tour guide Blaire! He made it a really memorable day, you get to see so much of the island in the day & plenty of time to wander round and have a swim down the river. Definitely recommend !

Memorable day on K’gari

Our guide’s name is Guy. He is extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the island, and shows a passion to share his knowledge. Lunch was great. To see the highlights of the island in one day was very convenient. We must say that Guy made the trip extremely memorable. K’gari is worth seeing and if you have a short amount of time, this is definitely the trip worth doing. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and making our trip fantastic! And thanks for organising the dingoes to show up so many times 😉

Unforgettable and super fun

What a truly unique and fun experience! Guy was our guide and had so much knowledge and many stories to tell… including a brush with a deadly snake! I’m not a 4WD person but the bus was comfortable and according to Guy, much smoother than other vehicles. Definitely the highlight of my trip to Hervey Bay. Recommendations- take snacks; prepare for all weather; use the toilets when you have the opportunity; participate in all the experiences - you won’t regret it!

Came for K’Gari, stayed for John

From start to finish was an easy and fun experience. Fantastic tour guide (John) was very informative and made the trip very enjoyable! Great lunch and activities. Stopping times were just long enough and the lake stop off was made amazing by appearance of a dingo! 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone who wants the K’Gari experience!

Informative, entertaining and safe.

My husband and I did the Day Tour from Hervey Bay and our experience was greatly enhanced by the thoughtful, courteous and informative leadership of the tour delivered by Dave D. He made it a thoroughly enjoyable and safe experience due to his superb driving and people skills. Over the course of 7 hours he displayed a broad knowledge of the Island, its people, culture and history. Based on our experience we have no hesitation of recommending the tour.

We had a great trip to the island! Our guide Keith was very knowledgeable and passionate about K'gari and gave an interesting commentary throughout the day. The coach performs great over the bumpy terrain and driving on the beach is great. Swimming in Lake McKenzie is a must. A great day.

K’gari from Rainbow beach with 4WD bus

K’gari is a beautiful and 1 of a kind island with (quartz) sand. Lake McKenzie (filled with rainwater) is stunning. Our guide, Keith, was the best. Knowledgeable, cheerful, positive and respectful (to passengers and Butchulla people). What a nice man. We covered a lot of distance (200 km) but there were enough stops and we found the time we had at those stops, more than enough. The food at the restaurant (hot and cold buffet) was satisfactory (not everything was hot) but this is a detail.

We had such a wonderful day tour on Fraser Island. Our guide, Butch, was excellent and was very knowledgeable about the island. We had the opportunity to sit in front with him on the bus. Beautiful island with gorgeous scenery.

A memorable day from beginning to end doing the K’gari 4WD day out

A fantastic day out. The scenery and the places of interest were better than we expected. An awesome Lunch was provided with an opportunity to purchase souvenirs. Our driver Hayden was great. Very knowledgeable, well spoken, accommodating and very experienced at driving the 4WD tracks. Felt very safe at all times. Saw Dingoes too. Our favourite spot was the fresh water streams on the Eastern Side. 💙

1 day tour on Island

It was wonderful day I spent on the island. Our tour guider Blair has extensive knowledge on the plants and island. We were also amused by his sense of humour. The buffet food was quite satisfying as well. All in all, we enjoyed it.

A little Oasis in K’gari

My family and I finally made it to K’gari on Monday. It was a full day tour. Dave, our tour guide was amazing and shared all his knowledge about the Butchulla people and the land. It was very informative while driving on the very bumpy tracks in a pod.Lake Mc Kenzie was the highlight of the whole tour. It was a little oasis out of nowhere on the island. You have to visit the Island to see everything it offers. It is worth the money you spend to see this beautiful paradise. Country is awesome.
