Excellent off road trip!

If you’re not afraid of the dust and love to go off road, this is the perfect trip. Everything is well organised and the guide is very friendly! We loved it!

Fantastic safari buggy tour

We had the best experience ever, we did a similar buggy safari in the Porto area last year which we absolute loved, so we made it our mission to do one whikst in the Algarve, we have to say this was even better. Right from arrival we were given a warm welcome and clear and thorough safety briefing, we did the 3 hour safari tour and it was absolutely fantastic, you cover multiple terrains, experiencing the full capabilities of the buggies. We stopped in a lovely little village for a coffee. The whole tour was brilliant and the highlight of our holiday, would highly recommend Algarve Buggy Tours.

This tour is a must!

Outstanding trip! Safety was a priority without tamping down the fun. The trip is well worth the money and far better than any we have been on before. The equipment, safety gear and guides are top notch. The terrain is beautiful and challenging. I couldn’t have been more pleased This tour is a must!

Fantastic

Really enjoyed this off-road tour. Great buggies and impressed with the attention to safety, with proper crash helmets, goggles and dust masks all provided (unlike other buggy tours we’ve done where you’re expected to make do with your own sun glasses and masks). Three hours of off-roading through a variety terrain, with a break midway for refreshments in a quiet, pretty local town. This is the second time we’ve done this tour and will definitely look to return when next in the Algarve.

Great experience a must

At first we didn't know if we were going with the 90min, 3hr or the 6hr tour. We ended up with the 6hr and didn't regret it at all. Never a dull moment riding in the mountains and it was challenging. We had a few stop and ate for lunch local cuisine ant it was delicious. I recommend it to everyone.

Off roading

Great experience for a bit of off road adventure. Good for those wanting something other than tourist sights and a bit more of unique experience

This was a 10/10 experience! We were given a very through safety briefing in advance, the guides were attentive to ensure we felt safe - then the buggy ride c.3 hours was a great length, filled with adrenaline driving up and down steep hills, round tight corners, over rocks, through dust tracks at speed - it was fantastic. Then at the end the guides also air sprayed us down to get rid of most of the dirt before we drove home, a nice bonus. Highly recommend. We’re in our 30s, there were people of all ages on our tour inc a family.

Disappointed

Was hoping for a buggy tour that took it's time and took in the local history and sites. Instead the tour was focused on how fast you drive the route. At one point I was told if I didn't speed up we wouldn't finish the route. I explained I couldn't see the road from the amount of dust being kicked up from the buggies in frt of us. A dangerous situation given the roads we were on. The couple behind us claimed they nearly missed a turn due to the dust and almost went off the top of a hill. We did stop at a quint village halfway through although we had no time to explore it. I wouldn't recommend this excursion unless you just want to ride as fast as you can on dirt roads.

Best buggy tour

Well, this was an excellent experience and Pedro was a fantastic guide. We were the only 2 people on this tour so it ended up being a private, customized tour for our preferences. We went to a small village, saw lots of animals, and went through rivers. It was wonderful.

Great Activity

Fantastic activity exploring the countryside. Very friendly and enthusiastic staff offering just the right mix of advice and instruction to keep everyone safe while enjoying the trails. All equipment was to a very high standard and the buggies seemed almost new. No hesitation in recommending.

Exhilarating fun a truely fantastic experience

WOW What an experience we are a couple in our late 60’s and we just had the best time . Exhilarating and totally unexpected. We went through rivers steep inclines and a bit scary challenging declines 🫣 but just loved it . Don’t hesitate book this tour if you want to explore rural Portugal a endure a truly fantastic experience.

Incredible experience. Absolutely the highlight of our holiday. The guide was fantastic. I cannot rate this highly enough. Would return to Portugal just to experience this tour again, from start to finish it was thrilling , absolutely unforgettable. Thank you so much to the staff for making us feel so & for helping my mum feel part of the adventure. Utterly loved it, we’re still buzzing from the excitement of the tour, just wonderful. Fun for the entire family

Our family had a great day. We did the three-hour tour and it was a mix of traveling on paved roads and mountain trails. The highlight of the day was the river crossing, make sure you wear shoes that can get wet!

What a great experience.

Wow - what a superb experience this was. The tour took us up some serious inclines and down some huge down hill drops, through various river crossings… not to mention the different terrains- rocks, gravel, mud, roads and tracks. Really a bit of everything. Paulo started off with a very clear health & safety, and run through of the does & don’ts. Edwardo the tour guide certainly knew the bests places to go. Without doubt the hi light of our short trip away. Well worth taking the time out of a holiday, for an experience you won’t regret.

Great time on the Dirt and Dust Tour - would recommend

My husband and I, and our 2 children (age 7 and 12) recently did the 90-minute Dirt and Dust Tour in the 4-seater buggy. We all had a great time. My kids especially loved going through the water and getting their fit wet! We even stopped to pick some fresh oranges to have a mid-tour snack! Would definitely recommend.

A fabulous experience

Husband and I took 12yo and 14yo on a 3 hour tour. So much fun! We had lovely and views were wonderful with beautiful wild flowers. Some of the terrain was challenging but nothing scary. Kids enjoyed going through the river. Pace seemed just right, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Would go again. Top tip: definitely don’t wear nice clothes (or a white bra!). Anything I’d change: would have loved to stop and take some photos of flowers/views but perhaps that’s personal preference and I realise that would impact on time behind the wheel.

Amazing Buggy Tour

We had an absolutely amazing buggy tour in the mountain region of the Algarve with guide/owner Eduardo. For over 3 hours we travelled up and down unbelievably steep, rutted and rocky paths, we forded streams multiple times with water rushing into the footwells, we drove on roads so narrow it would be impossible to pass an oncoming vehicle, we visited a mountain village for delicious coffee and pastries. This was a thrilling adventure, not for the faint of heart, but led by a competent, friendly and helpful host. Absolutely worth doing!

It exceeded my expectations. Non stop, fast paced fun.

We had a small group so there were no hold ups on abilities from other people and the guide didn’t hold back. Would do it again

Had the most amazing morning, being guided through the hills of the Algarve. Views and scenery were amazing. Great hosts, very friendly and so much fun! We literally smiled and laughed the whole way round. Would give this 10 ⭐️ if possible. Will definitely come back if in the area again! Thank you 😊

Fantastic 3 hours

A real professional company. Great fun, organised and the best personnel. I would recommend the buggy tour yo anyone. Its even better in the rain.

This is one of those 'must do' activities, so much fun!

I took the Safari Tour which was about 3.5 hours including a short stop halfway. Has to be the best fun I have had in years. A professional setup with a comprehensive walkthrough of the modern equipment beforehand and a description of what to expect during the journey. Wonderful views of the landscape during the trip with the excitement of steep hills, rocky terrain and overgrown greenery to keep you on your toes. Well worth the money, highly recommended, hope to do it again.

Fantastic Experience

We hired 5 buggy’s for a private 3 hour Safari, it was fantastic Paulo and the team couldn’t do enough for us. It was an extremely warm day but the buggy air hitting at speed was really refreshing and the stop off for lunch at a little cafe was a real hidden Gem. I’d recommend this experience to anybody and 3 hours was a perfect amount of time for us.

Great trip! This is a spectacular experience to free your adrenaline and go around little paths, mud, high hills, bamboo caves, and very sharp ups and downs! Beautiful landscapes and villages!

Fantastic day out

Fantastic day out. We went last year and enjoyed it that much we booked for this year also. Great way to see parts of Portugal that you wouldn’t normally see. Great pace. Well worth the money. Great staff.

Just do it. It is a blast!

I am a wimp, but for some reason this really appealed to me. I was nervous, but this was just the right amount of thrilling without being too scary. It takes about 5 minutes to get used to driving the buggy. After that you are good to go. My daughter and I had a blast. The guide and staff were beyond nice and I always felt safe and in good hands. I thought the 3 hours might be too long. It wasn't. I thought doing it in August might be too hot. It wasn't. It was a highlight of our trip.

Great half day activity in the algarve

Welcoming, friendly staff on arrival. Briefing was accurate and straight to the point. Offered in different languages for the people attending. For us it was English which was very clear. We did the 3 hour buggy tour which took us through rocky terrain which was broken up by some main road driving. Just over an hour in, we made a stop off at Qurença which is a beautiful village in the hills where you can use the toilet facilities and grab a drink or 2 from the local bar. At this point you can change drivers if both have a driving licence, which gives a chance for both people in the ATV to experience the off road terrain and spectacular views from the passenger side. We took a different route back to base which took us though narrow wooded areas and more spectacular views and local farmland. On arriving back to base we had a chance to dust off, with the help of the staff and a compressed air line!! (Great idea guys! Because it gets everywhere!!) Thanks to the team for a great day out and we will definitely be back on our next trip to the algarve! Well worth the money for a great half day adventure!

Awesome off-road experience with friendly staff

Great fun off-road buggying experience with a mix of steep technical descents and fast flat sections.... Lots of dust for extra epicness. The staff were super friendly and made the whole experience very pleasant. The guides will go at the speed of the group so if you are all safe, keep your spacings and drive properly, you actually get to go faster. Includes a nice cafe stop where you can get ice cream and cold drinks. The lady that runs the cafe is also very welcoming and friendly.

Pure adrenaline

Great adventure on brand new buggies. We drove along roads, dusty dirt tracks, rocky dry river beds and many steep ups and downs. Half hour stop in a lovely village for a drink and rest. Well looked after by our group leader.

Amazing!!!

Wonderfull! Good Guides and well chosen roads to drive on. A lot of turns, a lot of ups and downs, drivning in the woods and on the roads, perfect. Very good! We took a 3h safari tour, which stopped in the middle at a local village with a good cafe and old church to look at. Overall very good trip with really good guides. Very well worth a trip with Buggis! strongly recommend!!

Fun Saturday morning

One word - Brilliant

An absolutely brilliant experience. We could tell from the start that the company were very professional from the health and safety briefing to the brand new buggies we took out.The 3 hour safari took us over some challenging terrain including (spoiler alert) the hidden tunnel on the dry river bed. The tracks were exciting and challenging but we felt safe and in good hands throughout with a great coffee stopover half way round. We'll be booking again in August and I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Buggy tour

This really is a must do if you go to Vilamoura/ quarteira/faro areas. Brilliant value for money and just the right lenght of time. We did the 3hr tour , anything longer would be hard work!😁 the roads and lanes and offroad sections were extremely demanding in places for those who are inexperienced but easy enough to actually do and enjoy at the same time👍no going slow either, got some good speed up and was an excellent excursion, recommend this to everyone 🫵👍😁

Possibly the best run driving experience I've done.

Booked this for my girlfriend's birthday. Whilst at first she was a little nervous, the guide was super calm and confidence inspiring. He paid particular attention to her and convinced her to have a go at driving. Sure enough, once she started driving she loved it and was sad to hand the keys back after the tour. The little village cafe stop was delightfully off the beaten track! Also worth noting...we did the buggy tour in the rain. Whilst the views weren't quite as good as they could have been according to the guide, not having to worry about the dust kicked up by the other buggy was a huge win. If I did it again I'd also book it on a wet day.

Great time out. The guide is always looking out for you and what is in your best interest. Would recommend as long as don’t mind getting a little dusty/muddy.
