Half Day Snorkel 2.5hr Turtle Tour on the Ningaloo Reef, Exmouth

A wonderful introduction to Ningaloo Reef :)

We count ourselves fortunate to find this tour the evening before (2 spots available only). We left making bookings too late for whale sharks but continued to search for an experience. We were collected from our accommodation and transferred to the other side of the peninsular where we cruised off to snorkel. (I apologise, I am hopeless remembering names) our driver and eventually snorkeling guide is a German lass. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Enjoyed learning some of the history and statistics of the Communications Network located at the tip of the peninsula. Small but excellent boat. Captain helpful and friendly. Both he and our guide demonstrated great care regarding safety. They provided our snorkeling gear and into the water we all jumped. Our guide towed a floating yellow bar and we followed her around different coral outcrops and bommies. Colours of water, coral and fish so special. No turtles that day but sooo many fish and such a variety. We also saw a lion fish, several reef sharks and a large stingray. Between snorkeling locations we were provided with crackers, vegie sticks, dip, cake and fruit plus water and cordials. Highly recommend this tour.

Fun

We had a great time snorkelling this morning. The company was was very professional warm and friendly. Jamie was particularly good thanks again guys.

Fabulous experience

Amazing experience highly recommend! Super friendly team relaxed and knowledgeable Turtles dugong rays octupus and sharks. Lovely small group.

Great half day tour!! SAW TURTLESSSS

Such a great half day trip!!! Perfect amount of snorkel time in the water. We saw sooo many fish, amazing coral, a few turtles and dugongs! Kev, Janine and Jamie were such amazing guides for the day, so much energy, made everyone feel super comfortable, and very knowledgeable about the wild life and history of Exmouth. Couldn't recommend enough for a half day tour.

Fun and Fish

Had a great time on this tour! The water was pretty choppy while I was there, so they opted to take us to one snorkel spot and gave us a longer time there. I was surprised by how much life was in this one spot! We saw a turtle, an octopus, and a huge variety or fish and coral. The crew was great and made sure everyone was taken care of and enjoying themselves. I would say that the amount of time in the water was less than I expected (about an hour) as it’s a ways out of town, then it also takes time to get to the spots with the boat, but with the wind and waves it was about the perfect amount of time for me. Would recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyable

We had a lovely morning with Ken and Janine and Jamie. It was a brisk morning but once in the water the beautiful reef opened up its many treasures. We saw turtles and many beautiful fish. We were well looked after. Highly recommend

A wonderful experience

Absolutely amazing snorkelling. So many beautifully coloured fish, even saw a few turtles. The guys were absolutely amazing, so informative and helpful. Plenty of snorkel time in the water and lovely snacks when you get back on board. I would highly recommend this company, just a small business but with excellent service.

Great family friendly tour with all the equipment supplied. Flexible to changing conditions and guests ability.

Captain Ken and first mate Jamie were great hosts. They made everyone feel at home with friendly chat and a bit of banter.

leisurely beautiful snorkelling experience

This is a lovely snorkelling trip - not too strenuous if you don‘t want a full on day but still a beautiful experience with great marine life. The leopard shark was great! And you get very well looked after with yummy snacks on board. I will book this again next time I‘m up there.

Great tour, quality not quantity, excellent would recommend

Everything was great, we were picked up on time from our accommodation, a/c small van, boat was waiting, hopped aboard, friendly staff and captain, mask/snorkel was provided, safety information was explained, a spot on reef was chosen, snorkeling begins !!! Snacks and fruit, water, sunscreen provided. Information about the reef and surrounding Indian Ocean, guide was looking out for different sea life to observe 😎

Excellent tour

We had a great time on this tour. Lots of snorkel time and the staff were amazing and knowledgeable and very friendly. My kids loved it and felt safe and happy.

Great day on the water.

Loved this experience. Guides were very informative and friendly and picked us up right on time. Really well organised and we got to visit two amazing locations with beautiful choral, fish and sea life. Guides were great in pointing out things of interest and of course found a couple of turtles. Would do it again if had the opportunity.

Nice fish spotting, small group, nice staff

Saw lots of different fish close up and some turtles on the surface. The staff were very kind and helpful and they served some nice snacks. The sail out to the reef was not.far amd the skipper took good care to make a smooth ride. A small group which was cosy.

Leopard Shark, Turtles, Dolphins and so much more!

Amazing morning with Elle and Dan(?) We snorkeled 2 sites: Rangers and Coral Gardens. Rangers had heaps of fish and 4 sharks including a beautiful 2m Leopard shark that waited patiently till we’d all taken our photos, before swimming away with a quick flick of its tail. En route to Coral Gardens we came across a pod of 4 Australian Humpback Dolphins that swam and played around the boat, plus a turtle swimming on the surface. Coral Gardens were, as the name suggests, densely populated with enormous, majestic corals of different varieties. Followed another turtle as it swam lazily around. We were back at the Tantabiddi Boat Ramp by 11:30am, after a relaxing morning with just 10 passengers on board. It was much better than snorkelling at the Muiron Islands - recommend diving there and snorkelling with Cape Immersion - just book directly rather than through TripAdvisor as the latter gave us the wrong pickup time!

Brilliant experience. Great boat and facilities and excellent knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend this trip. Half day on the water is just about the right amount of time. The coral and fish are amazing on Ningaloo.

Serial experience

Only saw fish but a great snorkelling session otherwise!

Didn’t see any turtles which was very disappointing. Only saw different types of fish. Was hoping for a bit more marine life. However, crew were absolutely lovely, so welcoming. Very easy, relaxed, and enjoyable. I’d done a few snorkels at ningaloo and this was the most comfortable experience I’d had both on the boat and in the water!

Nice few hours

Bit deep for not confident swimmers but staff are very helpful. Good to see so many whales returning to these areas. And plenty of turtles.

Incredible!

This is one of the best snorkelling tours that I’ve done, & I’ve done a lot! I didn’t plan on doing this trip & only booked last minute. I kinda thought it might not be that exciting. How wrong I was!!! This was definitely every bit as amazing as all the previous reviewers said! The water quality is next level amazing, the snorkels & fins were good quality, the staff were friendly, & the wildlife was AMAZING! We saw turtles, octopus & so many beautiful fish. Definitely do yourself a favour & book this!

Great half day event definitely worth it

I loved this trip. We saw a reef shark, turtles, fish, dolphins and stingrays. Nice crew and 2 great snorkels in beautiful clear warm water.

Nice short trip

Everything worked well, good boat, well organised, food, snorkelling. Good staff and lovely area. No turtles though, but that’s just bad luck, or good luck?

Fabulous snorkeling experience

We had a great time snorkelling Ningaloo with Cape Immersion. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

Fun day on the turquoise water

Enjoyed our snorkel trip even though it was a bit windy, choppy and cool. Janine and Max were friendly and knowledgeable. Saw a couple of turtles resting while we snorkeled, lots of brightly coloured fish, a few large rays and a good sized reef shark. Visibility was pretty good and the coral colourful. Lots of turtles sighted on the return boat trip. Definitely worth it!

A marine wildlife adventure!

Amazing schools of fish, unexpectedly saw a Dugong and calf! Watched lots of turtles and dolphins, a wonderful experience would highly recommend.

Would do again

Seeing rays and sharks was most memorable as wife saw turtle but I actually missed it,very enjoyable 😉

Brilliant experience

These guys are spot on, they knew exactly where to take us to snorkel where we saw, turtles, manta rays, stingrays and then out to see whales and we saw heaps of them breaching the water and took great pictures, from start to finish it was brilliant and cheap at that, highly recommended.

Family Fun - an Exmouth must do!

Lea and Max were amazing and so friendly. There were a lot of young children and one who was really scared to get in the water and Lea took her under her wing and she ended up having an amazing experience in the water and loved it. Max was so knowledgeable and made us feel feel safe and spotted Dugongs and Turtles and it was just a really special experience all round. Even our 4 year old jumped in the water for his first swim in the ocean!

Great crew and knowledgeable

This was a half day tour, which was ideal for me having not snorkelled for years, got me into the groove for the next day we were booked with them again for a full day. Max and Janine were extremely knowledgeable on land and sea, they knew all the history of Exmouth and the good spots to dive. My pictures don't show exactly what you can see but gives a glimpse of what is there, mostly because my equipment is not professional (can't be the operator?). We were picked up at our accommodation on time and were taken to the boat ramp with a relaxing drive and being told the local history. They were very helpful and accomodating and would definitely use them again. Their boat was small enough to get to the shallower parts of the reef making it easier to see a lot.

Snorkelling with life around the coral

Great snorkelling lovely guides unfortunately did not swim with tortoises but did see beautiful fish and coral

We went out the Ningaloo reef & saw several turtles, a sleeping shark & an abundance other marine life

We ventured out of our comfort zone & went on this snorkel & it proved to be everything that was promised - a most memorable experience

Awesome experience

I was impressed by the way we were able to interact with the marine wildlife in a natural way, without disturbing it. The crew was super nice and very savvy about the region and the animals. They were well equipped and I felt safe at all times.

A tour with great snorkelling and sea creature spitting

Early pick up from Exmouth and snorkelled at two locations the first we saw leaped shark , octopus, sting ray . The second we swam behind a log ahead turtle which was a fantastic experience. I would thoroughly recommend Janine and skipper Max very knowledgeable and environmental aware about the reef .

Lovely short tour

Lovely crew, look after you very well & do their very best to spot turtles for you. We had a very clear day, so we saw a lot of them from the bow of the boat, where the allow you to sit. And swam with a couple of turtles, including a big Hawksbill Turtle which made my day.

Turtle-y amazing morning!

We went on the half day turtle tour with Cape Immersion, and had a brilliant day! We had the lovely Jan in the water with us, who guided us along the reef and pointed out so much wildlife - rays, small sharks, octopus, catfish, and much more. The highlight was getting the chance to encounter a turtle in the water, and getting to see many from the boat during the cruise. A fantastic tour, kind and professional crew, and overall a great way to spend a Wednesday morning! Would recommend this tour to everyone.

My favourite tour by far. Our guides were experienced, confident and friendly, and the swim was fantastic. For a more intimate and relaxed tour of Ningaloo, we cannot recommend enough.

Amazing, incredible experience

Our tour guides Ash, Liv & Dave were incredible. So accommodating I'm every aspect. We were able to swim off & know that the kids were completely safe & comfortable with these guys to ask any questions they had or just go to if they needed any help. They were full on knowledge, comfortable to be with & have a laugh! We will definitely book in for another tour with these guys when we come back. Thank you so much for giving us such a great experience!

Great tour and team

Fantastic tour highlighted by a great team We were lucky, we were the only three (our family) on the tour but I am sure the helpfulness and friendliness of the team would have been the same even if the tour was full. Although I did not go into the water, my two children (18 and 20) loved it. They saw multiple turtles but also a lorge variety of fish and other sea creatures. While I stayed on the boat, had nice chats with the staff and enjoyed the fruit and home baked muffins they brought out for us. We also were able to spend most of the time in the water, rather than on the boat hunting for good spots. Very smooth boat ride also for those worried about motion sickness. Highly recommended.

Perfect small group tour

Both Tas & Gen were excellent guides Got to see many turtles along the ride 2 great snorkelling spots in crystal clear waters and we managed to see a reef shark too Best thing its a small group and they look after you really well and make your feel comfortable

Last minute cancellation

Cancelled at the last minute. Really dissatisfied with how long it took to let us know. We had to find someone else at the last minute.

My wishes were realised

We loved everything about the trip. Andrew the skipper Janine the Guide and Luke the trainee were all so professional and polite. Their wealth of knowledge about the reef and their expertise on safety and hospitality made it wonderful we swam with turtles saw whales, dolphins and a shark. Disappointing

We just went on a couple of snorkels and saw small fishes and coral but no actual encounters with turtles. Disappointing experience.
