Fun and interesting tour

We really enjoyed the horseback riding and the drive to and from the canyon. Our driver Oscar was very friendly and was patient with my basic Spanish. He explained many things about the city and area on the drive and we felt very comfortable with him.

Private horseback riding and La bufadora

This was the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide Oscar was lovely. The horse ride was on a private beach and the views were gorgeous. Everyone loved it. After the horse ride, we went to La Bufadora which was not that great: crowded, hot, and you had to go through an alleyway full of vendors. But Lydia’s tacos were delicious! Highly recommend this tour because of the horseback riding on the beach and the tour guide was super accommodating.

Great Value!

This was an amazing excursion at a great value. I really enjoyed having a private driver and getting to experience things in a more intimate setting. Our driver Chuie was great. He answered all our questions and pointed out many things of interest along the way. The meeting point was an easy walk from our cruise ship! I highly recommend!

Not the best

Not a great excursion. The entire itinerary was not explained to us. Our driver knew very little English. It took almost an hour to get to the spot where we went horseback riding. The horseback ride was good. The horses looked healthy and well kept. The ride lasted less than an hour. The we were driven to the Buffalora. The driver pointed down a street with vulture like vendors selling their wares. We did not understand that at the end of the street was the actual Buffadora. The driver drove us back and wanted to drop us off on the shopping street, but by that time we werr feeling uncomfortable and just wanted to get back to the ship.

We did not like the horse riding part

The tour with car was ok but the one of the main reasons to do this tour My daughter 11 and myself wanted both horse riding peope to do the horse riding on the beach - the horses where extreme skinny - bad fed and kept - so my daughter refused to ride - beach themselves was als bad - so huge dissapointment / the rest of tour was ok - driver was nice

Great trip!

We had a great experience with our excursion! Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure we were comfortable and have great recommendations on where to eat at La Bufadora!

Great trip will do it again

4.5 it was great fun the only thing we wish if they gave us more instructions for a teenager daughter they just put her on a horse and said let's go but me and her mother have horseback riding experience that helped her

Just the trip from the boat to the horses was long. Wished the horses go more into the water. Wished it was linger

Best day ever

The views were breathtaking. The horses were well kept and I wish I could have remembered our guide. He was an older man but with so much energy and extremely personable. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such an incredible experience.

Good

Good tour. The driver was really nice. It was a good tour and nice: If you go to have a driver take you places. If you go to bufadora, go to Gordos restaurant it’s beautiful with a view. Not as crowded as others.

Great tour guide, average horse back experience

Jose was a wonderful tour guide. He made sure to get us to our destinations and was extremely helpful with making sure we were safe. The horse itself was extremely uncomfortable as it was not adjusted for someone of my height, but the ride itself was just okay. The guide did not communicate clearly on what was expected, so myself and my party were frequently apart from one another and could not share experiences.

Beach Horseback Riding and La Boufadora

Our tour guide, Oscar, was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great day and a well planned and executed excursion. The company was quick to respond to answer questions and reschedule our excursion when our cruise rescheduled port days.

Enjoyable Horse Ride and Wonderful Driver/Attendants

My son really enjoyed getting to ride a horse (1st time). The horses were mellow and the beach was peaceful. Our driver and the two horse attendants were very friendly and helpful.

Horseback riding on the beach & visiting the famed blowhole, La Bufadora

Juan Carlos was a great tour guide, knowing his way around Ensenada. He knew so many folks everywhere we went, and helped us navigate the sights in many ways. At the end of the tour, he took us to a great local taco shop, which I recommend, called Tacos Puebla... great experience, 🌮 tacos and price.

Horrible and confusing

Was really looking forward to this experience until it became a nightmare with the driver not showing up. Instructions and time need to be more clear cut. Tried to contact the number listed and was unable to reach anyone.

Horse riding on beach

The horse riding journey was great. The gentleman driving us was very nice. Unfortunately, the flea market was less desirable. The solicitors were overwhelmingly aggressive.

Worth it. Lots cheaper than cruise ship excursions!

We weren’t expecting the...

We weren’t expecting the guides to know English but they just get you up on a horse and didn’t explain how to control the horse as a first time rider group with only one guide per group. Our guide was holding onto 1 of the bad horse while all the other horses went off on their own within the group. A rude rider came towards our group claiming “her horse didn’t like her group” and caused both her horse and my friend’s horse to run off, end result my friend fell from her horse. There was no help from the guide once she fell from the horse as he was far away but lucky there were some people on the beach to help. The driver from the pickup and drop off was amazing though. He was able to get us to and from the port to the destination as well as a spot for lunch.

A wild, but good western ride

The overall experience was pretty good. Willy, our driver was really awesome! The horses we rode weren’t trained very well and one specifically kicked at two different horses while we were on the ride. The market was great and our driver had a lot of awesome suggestions.

Beautiful day of sightseeing

Our driver, Willie, was right on time and very sweet. We really enjoyed his company and his suggestions. He took very good care of us. When we were riding on the beach we were able to see Humpback whales just off shore! The ride was beautiful, but we had one rider that wasn't experienced enough to handle the horse well. No crisis, but it was an issue. La Bufadora was impressive and I am so glad we were able to experience its exceptional power and beauty. The gauntlet of sellers outside La Bufadora trying to get you to come buy their goods was overwhelming. If you love to haggle, and want to buy souvenirs, then you will enjoy it (my adult daughter did) but it wasn't my favorite part. It was a wonderful day and we appreciated Willie so much!

Ensenada

Horseback on the beach had some great views and experience was awesome. Blow hole was neat to see along with some great deals at the flea market.

Beautiful ride on the beach.

I had never ridden a horse before, but our guide was so confident that made me feel safe. My ride on the beach was so beautiful and made me feel at one with nature. It was a great experience. My guide Jose Luis was friendly, knowledge and respectful. I will recommend this activity to everyone.

It is very unsafe and lucky to make it back safe.

Horse riding is a very unsafe journey, and we had three people, each people were riding one horse, but there is only one person leading the horse, one person leading two horses, while the other horse was not controlled, my 72-year-old father was riding the horse, the horse was out of control, luckily there was no accident, but we will never go again.

We booked last minute when Carnival canceled our horseback riding trip. Great driver and lots of fun!

Great experience

This tour was a lot of fun!! But what made it such a great experience was our awesome guide Armando!! Armando helped us negotiate some deals, took us to a great restaurant, and showed us some really cool overlooks on our way back to the ship. He really helped make this day more fun than we could have imagined. The horseback riding was fun, the blowhole was cool, but I will always remember our new friend ARMANDO!!!

Perfect family tour

We had Alfredo a aguide and Agustino a a driver. We had 15 in our family and they were awesome! The zipline was fantastic and they have us plenty of time at the bufadora for shopping and tacos and sightseeing. Highly recommend! We had a large van with just our family. Perfect cruise day in Ensenada! We didn't do the horseback, but did do the zipline work 8 year olds and teens and grandparents.

The highlight of our trip! Highly recommend

This is the best tour ever! We loved this tour. Our tour guy Oscar is so nice and helpful, love how he introduced us this city and gave us lots of tips for wondering around. He bought me some yummy candies too. The horse ride at the beginning is a little bit rough, but our guide is so helpful. We did not have a high expectation at the beginning, but it became our highlight for the trip! I highly recommended this excursion for everyone. Last thing, the owner Jesse is awesome, he was at the pick up location to welcome us as well, I feel so grateful!

Nice

It's very nice and recommend if you have never ridden a horse before, it is a great excursion to do.

It doesn’t get any better than horseback riding on the beach

It was such a cool experience, riding horses on an empty beach, covered with sand dollars! Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t the best, and we would love to do it again when the sun shines.

Very nice people and fun tour

Excellent excursion. Carlos was our private driver and he was awesome. Very friendly, helpful, and laid back. He let us choose what we wanted to do and the time we wanted to do it in. Last time we were in Ensenada we were an over crowded bus that took forever to get anywhere. This experience was definitely the way to go.

Mean horses

Our driver was great, but the horses were horrible. 3 out of 7 were aggressive. 1 of riders had to get off and walk because she was so scared of the horse. 2 horse were good. 1 horse looked more like a mule that was at the end of his life. Unfortunately this was not worth the money.

Nice and memorable day

Private transportation during the whole tour. Picked up right at pier. We felt very safe. Very nice driver but no English. Have your translator ready.

Great excursion experience!

Very nice excursion! The host was easy to communicate and the driver was on time to pick up and drop off us to the cruise terminal. He was also very nice and explain many things about Ensenada The horse riding experience was great and we enjoyed very much. Highly recommended!

Excellent experience!!

We had the best tour guides. He was very helpful and patient with our group. We saw a lot and the weather was perfect. 10 out of 10 for the whole experience!

Even with little ones

We definitely do again. Had little ones with us who needed to use the restroom right after we got off the ship. We were taken to a clean restroom at a nearby gas station. The girls love the horseback riding we even had our 16 month old ride with daddy. After the horseback riding, we were taken to the blow hole. Really didn’t enjoy the walk to the blow hole due to the vendor. After the blow hole had our drive back to the port, which we all slept inside the car. My kids are already saying they want to do this again next year.

Amazing experience for first timers in Ensenada

This excursion was the highlight of our trip! The guide was courteous, friendly and prompt. The horseback riding on the beach was amazing! It’s a beautiful, quiet, private beach the guide was helpful and polite. Their recommendation for tacos was an amazing spot! Best tacos I’ve ever had. 100% would do this again! La Bufadora is not to be missed!

Fun Family Excursion

We had a wonderful excursion. Our driver Tomas was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. We had some rain in the morning but by the time we arrived to ride the horses it had stopped. Our horse guide was amazing as well but I am sorry I don’t remember her name. After the ride our driver took us to La Bufadora. Our stay there wasn’t as long since my kids didn’t want to shop. Overall I would definitely recommend this company and this excursion. Their customer service was by far one of the best we’ve had.

Perfect excursion package for our family of 3

We've just returned from our weekend cruise to Ensenada. We knew that we wanted a different excursion option than what was offered on the ship. I found Jesse and his company, Ensenada Excursions, online. Happy to report that we were happy we did. Oscar, our tour guide, picked us up at the port with a personalized sign so that we could easily find him. He had a nice taxi with A/C and a device to help us communicate (translating from Spanish to English for us). He knows a lot about the area and shared a lot along the drive to the beach where our horses awaited us. We had a leisurely ride on the bach for an hour. The horses where gentle and the ride relaxing for my kids and I. After we returned from our horseback riding tour, Oscar was waiting for us, taking photos and video of us as we rode back. (He shared those photos and videos with us once we got back home.) Oscar gave us great recommendations for where to get the best tacos at La Buffadora and he was right on. Lidias tacos did not disappoint. He also gave us tips about what NOT to buy (fake designer bags, etc.) on the vendor street leading to the tourist attraction. We had an amazing time and I would highly recommend Ensenada Excursions. If we return to Ensenada, we would not hesitate to book one of their other tours...maybe a massage too next time.

Wonderful excisions!!

It was a wonderful experience that our family and friends have. Horse back riding on the beach and was able to see the blow hole. The tour guide is super friendly and nice. The owner Jesse has kept in contact with me before the trip to make sure everything is going well and set for our big group. The only thing I wish could be better is a little bit more time on the horse on the beach. Be very careful at the eatery over at the blow hole. I spent $54 on food and got charged $26 tips…..

A perfect taste of Ensenada in one day

We have great memories from each part of our entire excursion but we especially appreciated having Pedro as our guide. He was friendly and very knowledgeable and really made us feel at ease and that we were in good hands from the very beginning.

Great time!

The experience was easy and fun! Our driver, Oscar, didn't speak too much English but we communicated well and he went out of the way to make sure we had a great time and tons of options to do! The private horseback ride along the beach was nice, no crowds. Would definitely recommend the private tour if you have 4 or more people in your group!

Great Experience

My family recently cruised to Ensenada on the Disney Magic. I knew that I wanted to experience more of Ensenada than what was offered through the cruise line so we opted to book our excursion through Ensenada Excursions and Tours. After talking about the different options with the family, I elected to have them quote a custom tour that included something for everyone. We ended up riding ATVs at Las Canadas Campamento (one full hour of off-road ATVing), riding horses on the beach at Playa Peninsula, and haggling with the vendors at La Bufadora. We did all of these activities for slightly more than the price of one activity via the cruise line. I was contacted by the company within 24 hours of my inquiry and had constant contact after booking. I knew where I would be picked up, who our driver would be, and when we would be back to the ship. The driver also took pictures for us throughout our visit and they emailed them to us upon completion of the day. I am very pleased with the experience that we had with Ensenada Excursions and highly recommend them.

Enjoyed very much- kind people!

We enjoyed our excursion very much. Jesse, who was our main point of contact before our trip began, was professional and sent us all the pertinent information when needed and was easy to contact with questions. Oscar, our driver, picked us up. He is kind and friendly. He talked to us throughout our trip in good English and used a translator app for the more challenging phrases. We had no problem communicating with him. The horse riding was a “no frills” operation that got us on the horses and onto the beach quickly. There was a nice man who held the rope for my daughters horse (she’s 7 and has never been on a horse before) and he collected sand dollars for her and took good pictures of the full family on our horses on the beach. Then Oscar took us to La Bufadora flea market and blow hole. He told us how to negotiate with the vendors and which restaurants were best on the car ride there. The blow hole was really spouting (!) and we got some souvenirs and drinks. Oscar’s restaurant recommendation (Lidias) had great fish and shrimp tacos and a great margarita. Oscar took a shortcut on the way back to our port. It saved us 20-30 minutes of traffic and then he stopped at the store with us for something we needed before we got back. Overall a wonderful experience if you want the true flavor of Ensenada! This excursion was the highlight of my trip. Oscar was a wonderful guide!

Ensenada experience

We so enjoyed our day with tour guide Oscar. It was the perfect excursion. Oscar was knowledgeable, friendly, and added local insight to the locations we visited. Horseback riding on the beach was a treat, with guide Luis. The horses were extremely gentle, and suitable for any rider. Bufadora is the second largest marine geyser in the world, so of course we had to see it. Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch at Los Panchos La Bufadora, at the recommendation of Oscar. The food was tasty, well-presented, and enjoyable. Views from the terrace were exquisite, as it was located just a few feet from water's edge. We would definitely take this tour again, and would request Oscar to guide us.

Best experience ever!

The whole experience was very memorable! We absolutely loved this ride! I would highly recommend and suggest using viator for this experience! The people were so friendly and understanding. They went above and beyond for us with all of our needs, thank you!

Romantic couple day trip

We had a wonderful time on our excursion in Ensenada! The massage was very relaxing and the horse back riding on the beach coast was the cherry on top! Our wonderful tour guy also took us to get authentic birria tacos. It was a perfect day getaway. Thank you!

Had a great time, but will change itinerary for future visits

The horse riding and message were some of the best experiences on our entire vacation. La Bufadora was a bit of an overwhelming experience. I would've preferred to spend my time downtown rather than dealing with the flea Market, but it by no means ruined our experience. This company is reliable and very nice.
