Amazing experience.

Eugenia was an amazing tour guide. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and super passionate about giving you the best experience. She gave us some great tips for our next trip to Ensenada. I would highly recommend booking a tour with this company instead of with the cruise ship. The tour is much more informative and efficient since there will be less people than on the cruise tour. We had time to enjoy the Bufadora and shop/eat in the neighboring area.

La Bufadora Tour

Eugenia was SO sweet and did a fantastic job at making sure we had the best possible tour! She was able to tell us who the local artists were and made sure we always got the best bang for our buck. 10/10 would recommend this tour!

Great experience

The drive to La Bufadora was relaxing and informative. Our guide Thaiz was very informative. The vendors at the market were really aggressive, but Thaiz stayed with me and my daughter the whole time giving us recommendations and suggestions and making us feel safe and comfortable. We went to Ensenada on a cruise so it was nice to get to see and learn so much in the short time we had.

Awesome Experience!

We had a great tour with Eugenia. She was extremely knowledgeable about Ensenada and La Bufadora. She introduced us to some great vendors along the market. She also recommended good food options.

Great time at La Bufadora!

Perfect weather, the drive to the Bufadora was relaxed and very informative. Our Guide, Eugenia, was amazing. She picked us up early as we were all at the meeting spot already. The personal tour and route was narrated by her and her experience living in the area, knowing the culture, people and business of the area. She was fantastic! The Bufadora was in full display and very active. Such a great time was had. Shopping, eating and exploring the area on our own while heading back to the parking area was a blast. Highly recommend this tour!

Great tour company! Highly Recommend!

Luigi and Eugenia were great! They were great communicating where to meet them (after we got off our cruise) and took us in their nice, clean air conditioned van and had some treats ready for us! They were great in explaining the history of Ensenada and even walked down with us towards the shop to help us get some good prices and items. We really appreciate their kindness, promptness and definitely want to come back and do the wine tour with them!!!! Highly recommend it!

Tour to La Bufanda

Jorge was awesome and just a wonderful nice person all around. He stayed near me and my friend as we were lucky to have a small intimate group and he stayed attentive to us the entire time.

Pleasant trip and Beautiful views

This was such an amazing tour that really made our cruise vacation! Eugina was our driver and guide and she went above and beyond for us to make sure we learned about the area, tasted the best food and experienced Encenada!

Pretty good

Ensenada Tours The guide was easy to understand, friendly, courteous and helpful. The reason for the 4-star rating was that I made it clear that the people on the trip did not know each other, or even me who organized the trip, and that I needed the guide to hold a sign with my name (or even their company name) on it. He did not, even when I mentioned it to him. He said he wasn't able to make one. My husband took a piece of paper, wrote my name on it, and held it up for others to read. Not his job. The geyser eruptions are advertised as 100 feet in the air every 20 seconds. That depends on the weather and the time of day. It needs to be windy to make wild waves, and high tide is needed too. When we were there it was a mild, no windy day at high tide. The eruptions were every 5 or 10 minutes and about 30 to 40 feet high. The tour and the guide were good. Was it worth the 45 minute bus ride? Sort of.

Very enjoyable day!

Eugenia met us at the cultural center and told us all about the interesting history of the building. Then on the drive out to Ka Bufadora, she answered all our questions and shared her knowledge of Ensenada. The market “walk” to get to the geyser is a bit intense with venders but with her help she quickly pointed out the true Mexican artisan shops were. The geyser was beautiful, ate some shrimp skewers with a beer and headed back. A great tour. We were lucky to be the only 2 people on the tour.

Worst customer services I had experienced!

Worst customer services I had experienced. I booked the excursion for the cruise I was on, however, the cruise captain notified us that the cruise couldn’t dock at the port for the safe concern, so my family and I were not able to get on the land. I called Viator customer service immediately to cancel the trip, the agent on the phone told me it will be processed in 5-10 days. When I’m back from the trip, nothing was done. I had to request again myself, the customer service agent had no help but trying to deny the responsibility as a platform agent. No solution was provided, no communication was bridged between me and the vendor. Any solution from the platform I would consider use the service again, this is my first time and last time being your customer!

Knowing the history of Ensenada and the guide is very nice and knowledgeable. The drive was very smooth.

No going to the trip at all but charge us full amount of money

We have just finished our cruise (Carnival Miracle). We booked a trip via Tripadvisor for La Bufadora Tour in Baja California (the day of the trip was 12/30/2023 Saturday). However, at around 7:30am in the morning on that day, the Captain announced that unfavorable sea conditions (high wave) prevented us from safely docking in Ensenada that morning, and we sent message to inform Eugenia (our tour guide) regarding that immediately. The trip started at 10am on 12/30/2023. We total 6 people, did not go to the trip at all on that day, and request The Wine Route to give us the refund to us. It is unfair to charge us the full amount of money because we did not go to the trip at all. Thank you!

La Bufadora Tour with Jorge

Jorge was a great and friendly guide that helped us to tour the La Bufadora and the Cultural center of Ensenada. He talked a lot about Mexican culture and history. Looking forward to be in his tour again next time!

Ricardo is the best

Ricardo was amazing! I would ask for him to be your you guide! Bufadora was fun to see. Being bombarded by street vendors was overwhelming especially for my little one.

Just ok

We were disappointed with our visit to this landmark. The ocean views were nice but it was actually hard to see the blow hole from above. The sellers you walk through to get to the blow hole were very aggressive. I appreciate that they are making a living but unfortunately it did take away from the overall experience.

The Best of La Bufadora

Our tour with Eugenia to La Bufadora from the cruise ship pier area was Excellent. We called her before we left and she confirmed directions and set our minds at ease to get to the meeting place. She and the driver were so hospitable and informative. The tour was a delight because of them! We enjoyed the snacks as well and narration both going to the site and back to the ship. It was fun to interact with the vendors and have their samples of drinks and candies. Eugenia's pointers about negotiating were also helpful. I would highly recommend any of the tours from The Wine Route and hope to go with them again in the future.

Ahhhh, skip it

The most memorable part of the trip was sitting in traffic for a couple hours because of construction. Also, the vendors from the place we parked to the actual Bufadora were loud and obnoxious. There are better things to do with your time and money. I will say that we liked our tour guide very, very much and enjoyed the tour of the cultural center before the drive. This company offers other tours to the wine country. Take those, not this

Great service equals great memories!

The trip was well worth it. Our tour guide Eugenia was very friendly and so knowledgeable about Ensenada and the La Bufordora. She was very easy to understand, spoke very good English and Spanish to accommodate everyone. Seeing the La Bufodora geyser was a memorable experience! The shuttle bus was air conditioned and they provided water and a snack. Would definitely recommend this tour. The price was great also!

Great day seeing Ensenada

We enjoyed seeing the Centro Cultural Center Riviera in Ensenada with our wonderful guide, Sergio! He was well informed, professional & friendly. We traveled to La Bufadora. Sergio truly exercised patience & kindness with one of our party , who had ambulating issues. I really appreciate his guardianship! Sergio deserves 5 ⭐️!😎

TOURIST TRAP

The epitome of a tourist trap! The blowhole itself is a mildly interesting natural feature, but just watch a video online and you get the picture. To get to it you have to pass dozens and dozens of shops selling the same junk and pestering the #### out of you.

Amazing experience!

I was so lucky to have Eugenia as my tour guide through this experience! We walked through the market as she pointed out the best shops to visit and places to eat, then set us free to explore on our own for 2 hours. The blow hole was great, but the food, atmosphere, culture and kind people are what made it special. The drive to and from downtown Ensenada was so much fun too! I’ll definitely be back! Ensenada, La Bufadora.

It was a great experience, The place were we meet was just 10 minutes away from the ship and it was a safe walk. Sergio, the guide, was amazing. I definitely recommend this tour.

Great personalized tour!

Eugenia was wonderful from start to finish. Her email communication was prompt, clear, and thorough. She picked us up and was patient enough to wait for us as we were running late from the cruise ship. She was also very flexible and offered various alternative options - our booking was originally for 4 adults and one baby but baby got sick so it was only 3 adults who joined the private tour. We visited La Bufadora before the crowds and then the cultural center and then one of the wineries in Vis de Guadalupe (which was the highlight of the tour). Super friendly, great attitude, knowledgeable, able to pivot quickly … only great things to say about her!

Great and safe

We were a little nervous about getting off the cruise ship (based on what others had told us), but we felt very safe the whole time. Sergio was very professional and informative. The ride to the geyser was very smooth and some of the views were amazing. We didn’t like the market area on the way to the geyser because the vendors are very assertive. We didn’t feel unsafe, just would have prefer to shop around but there was constant pressure to buy. It’s better to completely ignore them but we just can’t help saying “no thank you” which is just enough to motivate them. Otherwise we had a great time. The churros and pina coladas were delicious!

Loved the blowhole - shame about the vendors and the guide.

Tour was good (went through princess cruises) but the amount of vendors that hound you on the way to the blowhole. Ive since been to Cartagena old walled city and there was not nearly enough vendors as this place. We walked back up with another couple, safety in numbers. Tour guide Gloria was useless. No help what so ever, she just wanted you to visit her shop in la bufadora so she would get commission. The bus was so old we couldnt hear her at the back of the bus. And the tour in Ensenada was not that great either. By the time we got into the room Gloria had already finished talking and onto the next room.

An Amazing Tour with Oscar

We had an amazing tour of Ensenada on Dec 21, 2022 with Oscar as our tour guide. We would like to thank Oscar for sharing his knowledge of Ensenada with us, as well as showing us so historic sights. In the future, we would request Oscar as our tour guide when next we visit, and of course, we highly recommend him to our friends.

Affordable and Great Overall Experience

For cruises, the pick up point was across the main street at the Riviera Cultural Center which was about a 10 minute walk from the cruise ship and easy to get to. Our tour guide was Jorge and he was great! We got a confirmation text the day of from him, and once we met at the cultural center we started with a small walk through tour there. We were a smaller group of 4 but we were driven back and forth in a private minivan, so there was plenty of space and we were comfortable all throughout the drive. There were also some snacks and water prepared for us. Jorge was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the history of Ensenada during our tour. We had about an hour and half to view the blowhole and then walk around the marketplace to do some shopping and pick up food at the vendor stalls, which was plenty of time. Jorge was very accommodating throughout the whole trip, never rushing us, and also even gave us a few safety tips while we were at the marketplace. He also snapped some pictures of us throughout the tour which he sent over afterwards and was a nice touch. La Bufadora itself was fun to see and even though there were a good number of people there, there was enough space to get to the front and watch up close. Bathrooms closest to the blowhole were 50 cents per person to use. The marketplace has a lot of different vendors and there even is a small animal exhibit that was tucked away towards the end that had panther and lion cubs. Definitely recommend, it was a fun experience!

La Bufadora trip from Ensenada port.

Read the whole description before visit. Service was good, but depending on no. of visitors the vehicle changes. It won’t be a mini van for 2 people. If you are only 2 ppl then you will be transported in the car.

Beautiful and proficient!

Miguel, our tour guide, was great! Our port day for our cruise was rescheduled and they were quicker than the cruise to notify us and help us reschedule our tour so we didn't miss it! He was informative and entertaining! La Bofadora was beautiful! A great visit, Highly recommend!!
