This was a fun tour. You tour the city in a Model T replica car. Our guide was Chuy and he was excellent!!

Ensenada at its BEST, by Chuy “The Guide” Sainz

10/10. Jesus “Chuy” Sainz is a wonderful guide and a very safe driver. He is extremely polite, friendly, and an expert on Ensenada history, geography, and culture. Chuy stopped at highlight spots along the way and gave us great insights. You could feel his love for the town he calls home. He is also a great photographer. If you book, you must must must request him. You will not be disappointed. Also, wear sunblock, sunglasses, and a big hat so you can pull back the convertible top. You’ll see the sights so much better. Some not so great things, but not a deal breaker at all: The vehicle is an a cute, vintage vehicle so things can get just a bit noisy and a little bumpy at times. We loved the vibe though…made it all feel very old world and gave it a historic, vintage vibe! Loved it ALL.

Very convenient way to see the city!

We really enjoyed this tour! It was a great, fast, and easy way to see the city. Rafel, his son and driver were very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Outstanding Great Adventure in Ensenada!

Yes, had a great and outstanding good time going around to all the outstanding places in Ensenada. The car and our Driver was great. Our tour guy made us feel like VIP every place we went, nothing but First Class Service, I was very happy to see everything without doing a lot of walking around . We got to pull close up at all stops and he explained Ensenada to us and answer all questions about Ensenada!!!!✅👍🚢😁😀

Great city tour!

Highly recommend the Model T tour with carcachitas bc, our guide Chuy was prompt, informative and SO friendly! We had been to Ensenada multiple times, and we were looking for something different - this was it. Not only fun but learned about the city and visited spots we had never seen. If your on a cruise, it’s a short 15 minute walk to the meeting point - you just need to let them know pick up is port. Thank you Chuy & Rafael!

Unique way to see Ensenada

Rafael was so nice and gave us excellent local food recommendations. He gave us enough time at each spot he took us to explore. He also gave us a lot of history on each place we visited.

Great tour guide and overall great experience! Loved putzing around Ensenada in the Model T; we had a blast! A unique way to get around town that was memorable.

Great 2 hour excursion to see the city sights and points of interest.

We did the Model T tour with Ana during our stop to Ensenada while on a cruise. We had such a wonderful time getting to explore the city and seeing some of the historical points around town. Part of the tour included a mezcal tasting and a stop at the cities historical center, birth place of the margarita. Ana was a fabulous guide and we had a great time with her as our guide.

Late & unorganized

They tried to change times on us super last minute then showed up more than 20mins late so we had to cancel. The cars also do not look like the pictures

Model T Tour

Excellent service and knowledge of the area and history. Would recommend this to everyone. Raphael was an excellent driver and historian. We were not rushed and enjoyed the tour.

Not much to see

We were on a cruise ship and had prearranged this tour. Pick up went smoothly except our first stop was at the gas station to get gas and put air in the tires. The only memorable stop was at the ocean just to see the beach. basically there’s nothing to see on a car tour in Ensenada. I would suggest spending your time differently.

Book this! Exactly what we wanted for our first trip to Ensanada!

HIGHLY Recommend! This was an amazing excursion. Traveling with mom who uses a walker. Rafael the owner was so accommodating and helpful from the minute I booked online to finishing the tour. Ana our driver was engaging, super sweet, and fun! We learned so much about Ensenada and the history. We got to see popular sites and local favorites. Margaritas were amazing, but the people made it special. Thank you Rafael and Ana for the most memorable part of our trip!

Pleasant and relaxing

Rafael was awesome. He gave us a lot of good information and went above and beyond to meet our needs. His knowledge base of the history of the area was remarkable. We really enjoyed learning the things we did. History of the town, buildings and some of the different alcohols. This was the end of our trip and it really was a great finish.

Fun unique experience great guide ask for Anna

I booked this tour in a replica Model T through Viator. When we got off the ship neither my husband nor I could get service on the phone so we couldn't double check where to meet. Someone who worked for a company kindly showed us where we had go, which was about 1/2 mile away from the ship. We still couldn't get service there to show our tickets but Anna had us on her list so it was no problem. We enjoyed going to the beach and other sites and saw where the margarita was created. Anna spoke good English. She had interesting things to say. She was willing to customize the tour if there was anything we had in mind. We kept it as is. There is a top to the car so if it's raining you're OK. We took this in February and the weather was perfect. I would imagine in July it might be a little warm so think about taking a bottle of water with you.

Great time!

Rafael was very nice and accommodating with us and my mother’s foldable walker. His English was good and we never felt rushed. Nice excursion, I would recommend it to anyone that wants an overview of Ensenada with little walking.

If you want the best Mango margaritas, Rafael knows.

Our driver Rafael did an outstanding job of explaining the history of Ensenada. The highlight of the tour was the stop at the Rivera de Ensenada where I had the best Mango margaritas I have ever had.

A perfect day in Ensanada!

Go on this tour! Rafael is an excellent tour guide. He took us to a number of interesting spots, and was very informative with facts and stories about Ensanada and the stops along the way. We enjoy views of the beach, margaritas, wine, mezcal and the best street tacos we've ever eaten. It was such a lovely day and I would 100% recommend Rafael and this lovely tour. Thank you for the most enjoyable day and memories.

Unique experience and enjoyable afternoon!

This was a cruise port stop and I had to find something that my husband (who has Aphasia) could enjoy. This was a perfect choice. We were picked up at the Corona Hotel, as requested, before heading to the beach for a photo stop; then onto the Alter where a beautiful wedding was about to take place on the lawn. If you stop, be sure to get a Margarita Mango...the best. After this stop we requested fish tacos. Now that's what a fish taco is suppose to taste like - absolutely delicious. Yes, it was from a sparkling clean food truck...and not walkable from the ship, but simply amazing. Our tour guide was so genuine and helpful, which made for a lovely afternoon ride. No request was too much to ask...thank you!!!

Good time and ver informative

Good tour guide was very accommodating. He took pictures and was willing to wait for us to get a drink or ride horses. We didn’t do the horses because it was a cloudy day but was a nice time anyway. The guide was on time and picked us up close to the cruise pier.

A very enjoyable experience

We did this tour at the start of October. Rafael confirmed a couple of days before confirming where the pick up was and timings - which was good. Easy to find the tour. We were 2 in a bigger party of 6 - so 3 cars came along and went in convoy. We stopped at regular intervals either to hear a bit of history from Rafael or to see some sights. We stopped off for a Margherita around town - which was nice. Very well organised and much enjoyed.

Model T Tour

The car was fun, but the actual tour was lacking. Only went to 4 sites and there was little to no commentary while driving.

Had such a fun time with Rafael! He was able to tailor our tour to what we wanted to do! Driving around in the Model T turned heads. What a fun unique experience !

Best way to explore Ensenada!

Our driver Rafael was super nice and friendly. He was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us a great tour. He showed us the while city, not just the tourists areas. He gave us options as to what he could show us and let us explore places at our own pace. He even paused the tour so I could take my daughter horseback riding on the beach. He provided us with dining recommendations including some of the local's favorites. Definitely wouldn't of got this kind of experience going with one of the cruise ship packages and definitely a better value.

Fun short tour with delicious food!

It was our first time in Ensenada and this was a fun short tour to go on if you don't have much time. Rafael, the owner, was a great tour guide. He texted me a few days before to let me know where the meet up point was. My friend and I were coming off of a cruise and if you are too, give yourself some time to walk towards the meeting point. He was 15 minutes early and came around the corner honking the old school horn! We immediately knew this was going to be a fun tour. Our first stop was by the beach where you can go horse back riding. We opted not to ride horses and Raphael helped take our photos. We weren't big drinkers so he was able to change the itinerary for us and took us to a street vendor that he recommended that had amazing fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and chimichangas. It WAS DELICIOUS. The street vendor was so kind and helpful too. Would definitely recommend! As Raphael drove around, he would give us information and history about the area while driving. We went to Centro Social Cívico Cultural Riviera de Ensenada to have a margarita at Bar Andaluz and take a look around where it used to be a hotel and casino. Next stop we asked if we could go souvenir shopping so Raphael drove us through the downtown area where the shops were and showed us another shopping area where the prices were a bit less expensive than on the Main Street. He was able to drop us off at any location requested so we went souvenir shopping. Make sure to bring some cash if you're going to purchase food, drinks, souvenirs! Overall, a fun short tour and Raphael was friendly, helpful, funny, made us feel safe, and I appreciated his flexibility. My only suggestion is needing a bit more time to enjoy the margaritas, food, and shopping so we're not pressed for time, so if the tour was 3 hours instead of 2.5, I think that would have been perfect. Thank you Rafael!

Family fun

We had so much fun driving around! Learned some back history of Ensenada while kids got to run around. Plus shopping and eating. Something for everyone.

Great tour of Ensenada

Our driver was very knowledgeable and took us to interesting spots. We got to sample margaritas, wine, and local street tacos. We did not feel rushed and he was able to drop us off where we wanted to. It was a good way to sample the city as we were traveling with a child. Would recommend!

Rafael is the best!

Rafael is the best! I injured myself the night before and he was super accommodating. He showed us around while giving us really good information about the history of Ensenada. He was super patient and gave us a great food recommendation where locals go. He made our one day Ensenada stop a great experience. Came with my boyfriend and when I come with my family next time I will definitely book again.

Great personal tour

We had a great tour guide. He let us take pics and stop and get out a lot. It was very comfortable and such an experience. A great tour for the price and an experience. If you do not drink alcohol you might be a little bored but the sites are worth it. I felt very safe as well.

Short Tour but Vehicles and Driver Made it Fun

Fun activity and friendly staff. Our carivan of little cars visited local highlights of Ensenada, but the vehicles range and speed limited what you were able to see in the one hour tour. Our tour highlights were the beach, Riviera Hotel, winery (in-town), drive-by of Hussong's Cantina and drop-off in main shopping area. I thought the cost was a little high for the limited time tour. Overal we enjoyed it and would recommend it to friends.

A fantastic tour of Ensenada with a fun Mezcal tasting, Margaritas, Mexican dancing and TACOS!!

Rafael was the absolute BEST tour guide I have ever had! We were able to customize our tour according to what our interests were and he even arranged a private Mezcal tasting when the tequila museum was closed the day we arrived. Afterward, when we were hungry, he took us off the beaten tourist path to an authentic taco stand with, hands down, the best fish tacos I have ever tasted! I fully recommend this tour company each and every time you come to Ensenada- he can make every visit unique and different! You won't be dissapointed!

The best way to view Ensenada

What a fun and personal tour! Got to see a side of ensenada I never new, got to visit the birth place of the margarita and had the best fish taco I've ever had in my life! Recommend this for anyone wanting to get to know the beautiful city of ensenada!

The best trip decision!

We had a great time! The communication was excellent. Our tour was great and custom, he took us to some really cool secret places he also has tour vehicles that fit up to 5people. Check it out you won’t be disappointed!

Fun tour of Ensenada

Our tour guide gave us individual attention and took us to find nice gifts. The model T replica cart came complete with an old-fashioned horn (ah-oooooo-gah) to greet people along the route. It was fun. He took us to a local beach and the historic building as well as through the shopping district.

Awesome Customer Service

Awesome Customer Service. Our ship arrived 2 hours late and I thought we would miss this opportunity to see ensenada our way. I contacted the company and explained the problem and they were more than accomodating. Our driver (Rico ??) took us to all the places we love to see in a new place. His hostory knowledge was great and explain the historical sights he took us too. I loved seeing the Mission and the old Churches and parts of the city most tourists don't travel too. He took his time and took us to all the places we decribed to him, that we like to see when traveling. I would definately reccomend this for anyone wating to see the non-tourist sight in Ensenada.

Different but so much fun

Came in on the cruise ship and so we were so hesitant to book anything like this because you never know, because doing anything outside of the cruise line your taking it in your own hands. But after reading tons of reviews, I could wait until we went and let me tell you I would book this every time I go now. They will take you to all the main areas of Ensenada, The beach, Ensenada sign, shopping, tequila tasting, and so much more. Don’t hesitant and just book it NOW. I’ve never been a fan of Ensenada MX but this has totally changed my mind and now we have a new place to check out.

Custom Tour

The itinerary given on Viator was incorrect, but our driver took us wherever we wanted. We had booked 2 cars for our group of 6 and they offered for us to use a bigger car for us all to fit. We had a group ages 14-mid 60s and everyone enjoyed it.

Ensenada experience

Lovely tour of Ensenada with a nice stop to buy those last minute gifts. Our driver was very knowledgeable of the local history and accommodating to what we wanted to see. Would use them again if I came thru the area.

Amazing and Awesome

I received a text from Rafael about an hour before letting us know where he would pick us up and he was there early and we took off. He is so FUN and knowledgeable about so much. He took us to the most amazing places. This is a MUST do.

Fun way to tour Ensenada!

What a fun experience! We unexpectedly had 2 days in Ensenada on our cruise due to a schedule change, so were able to add this tour a few days prior and there was still availability. We were picked up at the port at 9:45am and let our guide Rigo know we do not drink alcohol and he customized our tour to several other areas in town. We went to a couple nice photo op stops, a stop at Playa Hermosa Beach, walking around the civic center and just around town for a total of about 2 hours before dropping us at the historical museum per our request. Absolutely would recommend this tour! Thank you for the excellent service!

Fun family adventure
