Beautiful, fun, and comfortable!

Our trip was excellent! Euan was our guide, and shared fun history and stories, and made our experience really memorable. The trip was easy, comfortable, and we saw a ton of cute places. Scotland is stunning, can’t wait to go back! A warning for the motion-sick-prone people, do not forget to take your Dramamine like I did, there wasn’t any in any of the shops on the road. It’s a very narrow windy road.

Stuart!

The tour was great right from the start, at the meeting place the guy doing the organizing was right on top of things, he even made sure that when we were ready to board the bus the people who charged ahead of us were held back, as we had arrived first, much appreciated! The bus was clean, new and comfortable, the route was well planned and stops were the right amount and at the right time. But, the real gem of the tour was Stuart, our guide, he was absolutely fantastic!!! He was so informative, kind and patient! He told us so much history, it was terrific!

Great day trip tour!

This is a must do day trip in Edinburgh! Loved seeing the country side - the Highlands and mountains. We had multiple stops and saw a lots of this beautiful country. It included time to have lunch in a cute little town and multiple castle visits. We definitely recommend!

Great scenery, history, stories and castles.

Mark, the guide was fun and informative. Would have given 5 except for the lunch stop place. Food there was barely acceptable. Ark did ad a bonus stop near Sterling Castle for outside photos. Mark was great

Great tour, worth the price

Our tour guide Natalie told us informational stories along the way and she played great traditional and modern Scottish music. We would definitely go on a tour with Timberbush Tours again.

Wonderful Scotland Experience

Beautiful one day tour

We had a beautiful day visiting Stirling Castle (not planned originally for the tour but the other one was closed for some reason) and the cemetery right next to it, the town seems lovely, but not enough time to visit. I loved the second castle with beautiful gardens, fully furnished and the amazing kitchen, loved it! Loch Lommond and the little town was also very nice. Marco was our driver and tour guide, he was very nice, attentive and amicable. During the ride on the bus he played a very nice Scottish music playlist.

Wonderful trip to the West Highlands

Great one day tour of Highlands

This was a perfect tour for a shorter trip to Edinburgh. We didn’t have multiple days to spend in the Highlands or outside of Edinburgh so this was a perfect way to experience it and not have to rent a car. Our tour guide, Alistair, did a great job. He was very knowledgeable and kept the tour on time.

A Day in the Highlands!!!!

Great experience

We had a very nice day in the Highlands. Our guide was Eric, he did a great job. Before the tour we were a bit concerned about scottish accent since we are from Germany, but all the information and jokes were very easy to understand. Our trip was perfect for us, not too long driving distances and in between interesting places and nature to see. We saw a lot and were’nt exhausted at the end of the day. We can highly recommend this tour and Eris as well.

Awesome History and Sight seeing tour

This was such a fun tour! Marty was a blast. We saw so many beautiful sights and also learned a lot. In addition we also loved that we were on private van with our group vs a very large tour bus. That was a nice surprise!

A really fun trip visiting the highlands and all the castles

So the day before I visited loch Ness. But this trip took us to the West Highlands and to the castles. One of the castles was the one where Monty Python and the holy Grail was filmed. The council's just a shell and they charge $10 to go inside which I did not do. I did visit the other castles and took pictures of others that we didn't stop at. Lots of information on the tour and the tour guide and I compared information from the tour Guide I had one I visited loch Ness This is a must tour for those who want to see West Highlands

Excellent

Never get tired of the spectacular views of the Highlands. The castles were nice to see even if some were not open on the day we booked. However the stop along the way were lovely and finishing off with Loch Lomond was perfect. A rainy day but we still enjoyed it. Marty our guide was excellent!

Great tour

Peter, our guide was knowledgeable and fun. We really enjoyed each stop and Peter played the lovely ballad, Loch Lomand as we were leaving the stop there.

Read the fine print

We got an email stating further tickets were neededed. Other entrance fees were required upon arrivals. Waste of time at lake area, the second castle was beautiful. Driver did not seem to want to talk to folks once he parked bus. Felt ripped off with the extras that were not included.

Well-thought out trip, friendly guide and wonderful service!

Great trip experience! The guide, Peter, was knowledgeable, friendly and an expert navigator. He took the effort to interact with guests and shared interesting knowledge about the sights throughout the whole journey.

Not the usual good experience with Viator

I book through Viator because I trust it and know all arrangements will be handled professionally. I won’t be ripped off or taken advantage of by a tour operator I don’t know and shouldn’t trust. So I was disappointed in the way this transaction was handled which caused us a great deal of stress and lost time. Booked this excursion weeks in advance. The day before departure, I received an email with a link requiring me to click the link and pay admission fees in addition to what was already paid for the tour. Fine print said entry fees were not included so I expected to pay at the gate. Not at an unexpected link at the last minute. Instead, I get an email saying Viator will never send you links requiring you to pay fees online and to be very cautious if you get such an email. Naturally, I was very concerned. I called Viator who said they had not sent the email, it was sent from the tour operator. I suspected fraud and told Viator I wanted to cancel. However, since the tour was now less than 24 hours away, I was informed no refund would be made. This despite the fact that I received the suspicious email less than 24 hours before the start of the tour. This tactic is deceitful and undoubtably employed so those of us suspecting a scam are unable to cancel our tour without penalty. I spent a lot of time on the phone trying to speak to someone and resolve this situation. Ultimately, I did go on the tour which only went off with a multitude of hitches because of road closures and other problems which were no fault of the vendor. Tour Coach was very uncomfortable with poor circulation and shortage of restroom stops. Very late return to appease some of the travelers was unfair to those of us who didn’t want to stop for a single photo opportunity which was not on the agenda and extend the return time for several hours.

Great day road trip from Edinburgh

Very nice trip. Our tour guide (Sean) was very informative, nice and answered all our questions. The I my thing I would complain about is that we have very little time in some stops. But overall everything was very cool.

Highlands, Lochs and Castles

Our guide Iain Buchanan was pleasantly friendly and knowledgeable. He was apologetic about the rain which made viewing some scenes impossible. The weather is out of anyones control but it was still a great trip.

One day tour of West Highland Lochs, Mountains and Castles is very cool and our guide Euan is knowledgeable, kind and funny. His music playlist is perfect for the trip, we did sing along and had so much fun! He is an amazing guide and storyteller, also great driver! We're grateful for all the knowledge and opportunity to see beautiful Highlands. We'll cherish these memories forever. Thank you Euan!

Tour was good except...

Tour was good except Timberbush Tours couldn’t be contacted to discuss why my Credit Card was charged twice for the same purchase of castle tickets. I had to contact American Express to get the charge taken off my account. Poor customer service.

The tour driver was so nice. The weather wasn’t on our side, but he made the trip memorable. He was very knowledgeable

The castles were stunning, tour guide was lovely! The bus didn't have heat. It made for an uncomfortable ride.

Wonderful Day Tour

We had such a great day on this tour! Beautiful stops and sights with plenty of opportunities to stop and take photos. Sean was great! He was personable and informative. He had great driving skills too!😀 Highly recommend!

Scottish Highlands tour

Our tour guide Jim was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and personable. Added alot of perspectives on things that are not part of normal presentation. He played Scottish music and even wore a Kilt. He made some other unscheduled stops for us, like a place to see and feed some Hairy Coos. Sights and stops were amazing. Beautiful country. Would highly recommend this tour.

Great Highlands Tour with Gary of Timberbush

This is a repeat tour for me, first time with my day 12 years ago and this time with my youngest son to see where our family came from. Gary with Timberbush was an amazing guide and driver. Loved how he told the history behind all we saw and his sense of humor. I highly recommend this tour to folks who want a comprehensive visit to the Highlands.

Wonderful!

We bought this tour in August, during our holidays in Edimburgh. Our guide Paul was absolutely lovely, funny and brilliant , the tour well organised and interesting. We could visited lots of wonderful places and have time for enjoying our lunch, taking photos and having a walk. We highly recommend this tour!

West Highlands with Paul Santa!

Paul Santa was THE BEST guide we could have had. For the money, we got amazing views, awesome banter and history, and a guide who cared about us and what we got to see. Completely worth the day trip around the West Highlands.

We booked the West Highland Lochs, Mountains & Castles day tour, our driver Stevie was friendly, knowledgeable and professional, he made us all feel comfortable making jokes, he made the whole experience well worth it and fun! Would definately visit Edinburgh again and book another tour!

Beautiful castles and scenery in the Highlands

Our tour guide Euan was very good, not only for his storytelling but also for his expert navigating through the winding roads of the highlands. Castles and sights were beautiful despite the crappy cold weather. Would definitely recommend this tour to family and friends.

Great tour

Excellent choice of locations within reasonable distance of Edinburgh to get a good glimpse of the Western Highlands. Our guide / driver Mark was excellent and provided us with lots of info and funfacts on each of the places we visited. Defintely recommended.

Amazing!

Mark has been an excellent tour guide. I have been to many guided tours before, but our experience with him is fantastic. He was so knowledgeable, clear, and entertaining. We even have a pop quiz at the end, which was the best way to refresh our knowledge about scottish history, which we liked. I highly recommend Mark as a tour guide and timberbush

Highland cows were a bonus!

We were lucky enough to have good weather which made this trip even better. The lochs and castles were beautiful but the trip was made even more enjoyable by having a knowledgeable guide/driver. Our guide told stories of Scottish history and played great music during the time we were driving between stops. He also made a point to stop for pictures and snacks, so there was never a long interval of being on the bus. Highly recommend!

A beautiful way to see the highlands in a day.

Peter was wonderful! Our bus broke down, causing a little delay, but we were picked up by another bus in an hour and on our way again. I wish there were one more castle stop (even just to view the outside) instead of one of the loch stops, but those were also beautiful and gave us another view of Scotland. Thank you!!

Best tour ever!

Everything about this tour was wonderful. We didn’t feel rushed at all, we got to see beautiful castles, the rolling countryside, the shores of Loch Lomond, and learned so much about Scotland from our amazing tour guide Paul B. I would recommend this tour to everyone I know and would honestly do it all again myself! Paul made everyone on the bus fall in love with the Highlands. Scotland was always on my bucket list but after visiting I know that one visit isn’t enough. I can’t wait to go back.

Amazing choice for Highlands and Castles

Loved this tour. I reviewed options for months before settling on this one as our goal was to see as many castles as possible while also sampling the Highlands. Did not disappoint! Collin was amazing too. The coach was comfy too.

Castles, lochs and valleys... Perfect!

Our driver and guide, Stewart, was great. Very knowledgeable, he gave tons of anecdotes and histories. I'm French from Quebec and I was able to understand almost everything :-) The circuit is beautiful, castles, valleys, lochs. The mini bus was very comfy and the sound was great. I highly recommend this tour.

Disappointing

Very knowledgeable tour guide. However, the tour was not worth it for the price being. The time given is good for what you are going to see but pretty much for $82.00 it just covered transport and no entrance tickets. There was no wow factor. I don’t recommend it! Save your money, stay in Dublin there’s more to do there. Spend your money doing something else

West Highland tour

Beautiful tour yesterday October 1. Our driver Santa was wonderful. All the way to and from the West Highlands he entertained us with his knowledge of the history of Scotland and most of all with is humor. Thank you Santa. All the best from Belgium. Agnes and Caroline.

Our tour Guide was “Santa” Paul. He was very entertaining and gave us a safe and informative trip! The Castles and the Highlands were amazing! Definitely a highlight to our quick trip to Scotland

The knowledge, storytelling and enthusiasm of the driver was excellent. Bourne Castle was awesome. Views of the highlands and locks was great. Highland weather was a negative.

Loved visiting the Highland cattle. The little town of Luss was lovely. I enjoyed the bagpipe music that our driver played on the trip. It was a lovely day.

Recommend this tour

Great tour, well organized, worth the price. Our guide/driver was great. Tells a lot of "dad jokes" but that's okay. I saw my favorite part of Scotland, "the highlands", loved every minute of it.

Great tour

We had Martin as our guide and he did a fantastic job. We enjoyed his commentary and history that he shared on the journey. He was very approachable with questions. The tour itself was great, hit some top attractions and we stopped often enough to explore some small villages to grab refreshments. We were never bored.
