Our tour guide, Alistair, was knowledgeable, engaging, and friendly. He provided fascinating insights about the history and culture of all places, making the trip both educational and enjoyable. Hes enthusiasm was contagious, and he was always ready to answer questions. Each stop was well-timed, giving us ample time to explore without feeling rushed. Spectacular Outlander Tour

Incredible Day Trip

What an absolutely lovely day. From the gentleman at the checkin to our delightful tour guide/ driver, Paul. We enjoyed seeing and experiencing all the stops. Outlander viewers and non viewers would enjoy the history and countryside seen on this tour. I highly recommend this day trip!

Entertaining & Educational

It was our 9th tour with Timberbush but also our second one with Gary!! We had him as our driver-guide more than 4 years ago and it was so amazing to have him again! He is still a very friendly, funny, cool and full of knowledge driver-guide! We had a wonderful day with him, thanks so much to him for all these memories, he is an amazing driver-guide ❤️

Perfect day

Fun

We had a great lot of fun with Mark. Lots of story's (not only about Outlander but also some Scottisc culture) and good driver too.

No Lollybrock

Our guide was fantastic. He was quite a Scottish history enthusiast, which added to the richness of our experience. The downside, which was major, was the closures of primary attractions and the complete inaccessibility of Lollybrock. None of this was disclosed prior to ticket purchase. It would have affected our decision to buy this excursion. What we were able to see/experience was greatly enhanced by our guide. Kudos dude. You rock.

Good and a few laughs

Good tour, I wish we would of added Castle Leoch, but it was good. Rosie is knowledgeable. She told us that there was some filming going on at Leoch? The actors strike was still on. Other than that it was good. She made the day fun.

The tour was great. Some of the places it could be a little more time. But Rouse was greatttt!! Well organised experience

The journey was well organised and I had a wonderful experience thanks to the brilliant guide Rose. Totally enjoyed the day!

Fantastic!

Had an amazing day exploring the outlander spots with my cousin. A must tour for outlander fans. Our guide Jim answered all our questions and gave us very usefull tips during the tour. Tips: bring enough snacks and check the locations for the different spots, especially in falkland and culross before you arrive. We did inbetween the different stops, when we were in the bus, and then we could go straight to the places to take our pictures without so many peoples in the «way».

Great Tour

This was such a great tour! It was entertaining, informative, and Marty, our guide, was super funny. He is also a huge fan of Outlander so it was great having someone take us around who knew what he was talking about. He even played music from the TV series. We also got to learn about history of the sites that wasn’t related to Outlander so that was a plus as well. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Great time

Great time! Our guide Gary was so nice and had a good sense of humor. We really enjoyed the sights. There was a historical component as well as entertainment.

I loved!

It was absolutely perfect! Being among Outlander fans (even if you're not a huge fan yourself) was fun and exciting. Even if you don't see the castles, abbeys and cities through Outlander eyes, you will be immersed in an undeniably impressive story of this graceful Scottish people. And you will truly be moved! The auto tour point? The guide: Rose! Competent, welcoming, available, lively... all the best and more! I highly recommend!!!!

Wonderful trip

The trip was amazing. We spent a wonderful day with our great guide Marty. This itineraire is so interesting, especially the visit to Falkland with the gorgeous Falkland Palace and their gardens and also a beautiful square with the Bruce Fountain in the middle of town, which is important for those who admire the Outlander film.

Outlander

Marty was our driver. He was witty, knowledgeable about Scottish history. Entertaining when he was driving but a bit stand offish when getting off or on bus. He didn't take us to standing stones and got us back a 1/2 hr early.

Entertaining tour and guide

Marty was an excellent tour guide. Very entertaining. Favorite stops were Midhope and Falkland. Definitely would recommend.

Outlander, forget about Jamie.

I did this tour and I absolutely loved it. I had Brian as a tour guide and he was absolutely brilliant. If you come to Edinbrough make sure you do this. P.S Brian is gorgeous and can I have your number.

Outlander Tour

Loved this tour. Very relaxing. Only reason I gave a 4 was because I didn't feel that it was made clear that it cost more to get into several of our tour stops. Nominal fees, but the tour itself was not inexpensive. Maybe be clearer on that point for guests. Otherwise, Donald our guide was knowledgeable and humorous. He played music for us a few times that added to the fun. Enjoyed exploring what interested us.

Outlander fun

We loved the freedom of doing what we wanted in each of the stops but enjoyed the commentary we got as we drove to each location. David was amazing and very entertaining. Highly recommend the tour.

So well worth doing!!

Brian, our tour guide and driver, was brilliant. His sense of humour, his knowledge and his obvious love for his country were so evident. The trip appealed to all guests- even those who are not Outlander fans. Culross and Falkland were true gems - could have stayed there longer! Brian kept us entertained with his jokes (??!!), his music and his knowledge- will definitely recommend this tour to family and friends.

First class tour

Our trip was just amazing! Our tour guide, Brian, was an excellent driver, extremely knowledgeable and friendly and made the whole experience first class. We had just the right amount of stops but could have spent all day in Culross and Falkland. We would definitely recommend this tour with this company. Thank you, Clare and Pat

Andrew T Rocked It !!!

Our tour guide Andrew T made the whole trip fun and immersive in Scottish history. We certainly enjoyed the “Outlander” entertainment bits but really appreciated so much of the historic and cultural insights that Andrew provided. A lot packed in but adequate time generally to appreciate each of the stops.

Fast paced fun for Outlander Fans

I was amazed that we were able to visit and see as much as we did in one day on this trip. Not only were we able to go to three Castles at specific locations but also visit two towns that were recreated to embody fictional settings (and they also had a castle/a palace to visit too). Marty was a great tour guide who helped us make the most of his experience.

A great tour!

Our guide Badger was knowledgeable, personable, courteous and helpful. I am recovering from a knee injury and he was an arm to lean on a few times. Very enjoyable experience.

Great Tour!

This experience was so much fun! Donald was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and kind. There were a few hiccups in our route out of town but all was fine and Donald was able to navigate that well. The only thing that is misleading from the description is that you do have to purchase tickets to the sights, it’s not free like it says here. It was less than £20 but that is important if you’re on a budget. Overall this was a great experience and I would do it again.

A must see

Gary was our guide. He had exceptional knowledge of Scottish and UK history. He was friendly and a joy to interact with. If you are an outlander fan, this tour is a must.

Outlander tour

Our guide Jim was fantastic, knowledgeable, funny and enthusiastic. We left and arrived on time ! The only change, I was not aware of the additional charge of entry for some of the sites. I may have missed it in the email.

Extremely disappointed

I had book a day trip to lochness and glencoe highland Which was about to start on 23rd July 8am m calling the tour operators since 7:45 am and Nobody is answering the phone and as I was informed that the tour leaves from Edinburgh bus station I reached there while reaching upon that location I was informed there is this other location to reach which was 20 minutes away now they are saying we cannot help you to get the tour they are also not re scheduling trip for me despite my constant request. They are not even giving my money back as well. It’s really sad that we came all the way from india to visit and they throw cold shoulders on us

100% recommend

One of the best tours we’ve ever been on! Gary was a great tour guide with LOTS of knowledge about all the sites (and great jokes). The tour bus was great especially with the USB plugs and comfy seats! We were able to stop for lunch in Culross which is such a quaint and picturesque town! Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!

Awesome!

A combination of informative and fun tour for an Outlander fanatic! Marty our guide was absolutely great! The option of paying or not paying on castles/palace you as a tourist would like to enter was convenient because we had a couple of palaces that we didn’t care about.

Outlander as seen by Americans

Gary was very knowledgeable! It was great seeing in person what we have watched on tv. The time given for each place was great!

Great experience

We had a wonderful time in this tour. We learned not only about the Outlander books and series, but also about Scottish history and traditions. We would definitely recommend for any Outlander fan.

Fun tour for Outlander Fans!

Loved visiting the small towns included in the tour - very charming and we would not have gotten to see them otherwise. Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and had a lovely, lilting voice!

Cancellation sucks

Cancelled the tour without notice. We were already on our way. Ridiculous and very disappointing. Ruined our plans but we made the most of it

Great tour for Outlander fans

Had a wonderful experience seeing the spots Outlander was filmed. Our guide Paul B gave us the actual history of the times as well as the tie in to the Outlander story. Great tour.

A Must Do For Outlander Fans

Our guide, Gary, was very knowledgeable not only about the sites but also about other historical and important places we saw or drove by. The van was very comfortable and the weather was amazing. On the way back into town he played some wonderful Scottish music classics for us as well. I would recommend this tour for both Outlander fans and those who don't know anything about Outlander.

Outlander in a day

It was great being able to see so many different things in a one day trip. The guide was funny and interesting.

Not just Outlander!!

The bus was very comfortable. Our Tourguide, Marty, was fantastic. He was funny and very informative! We chose this tour because we couldn’t get on the highlands tour. However, we saw so much on the outlander tour! We saw fascinating sites a few castles, a Palace, or two, and gorgeous scenery! One of the people on the tour fell and damaged her knee. Marty was on top of it and coordinated everything perfectly. Yes, we were an hour or so late getting into Edinburgh, but we all wanted to see our fellow companion, well taken care of. Afterwords, Marty drove us back to Edinburgh, and gave a stories and recommendations. Thank you again Mattie for a great trip! You added a lot of humor to our day and a lot of interesting facts and information.

Good Tour

The tour itself was great, however, our guide acted like he had rather be some where else. No personality at all.

Loved it!!

Loved Martin sharing all of the history of the locations we were visiting. The whole day was pleasant so we booked another day trip while on our way back to Edinburgh.

Great day out

Our driver, Paul B was really kind and entertaining. The outlander aspect is great, but it's also a good way to see the countryside and local towns around Edinburgh, lots of the Firth of Forth, including three famous bridges.
