Panoramic Views!

Panoramic view from the hill. Beautiful especially Edinburgh castle. If you have difficulty walking may not be the best option as it’s a 3hr tour and steps to climb on the way. Tour guide Robert was informative and knowledgeable about Scottish culture and history.

Underwhelming & overpriced

Nice, friendly guide but very underwhelming tour. Very overpriced for what it is. Basically just walked around a little & told some stories many of which were written write on the buildings or plaques.

Overpriced and underwhelming.

I cannot believe the cost of this tour per person. I could have done this walk myself and found the information provided by the guide on Google. For the price I was expecting something interesting and exceptionally informative. I typically don’t do guided tours because I find the information provided watered down and the guides going through the motions to move on to the next group of tourists who were gullible enough to pay money for something they could have learned themselves. I thought this tour would be the exception because it is a private tour, not a tour with strangers. I was wrong. This was a complete waste of money. I gave it a 2 instead of a 1 because our guide did show up and do the tour in cold, windy, and rainy conditions.

Fun, interesting and educational day in Scotland!

We had a wonderful private walking tour with Ross. He was so knowledgeable about the area, the history and the best spots for photos. It was very cool to hear about everything from the families who lived in Edinburgh to the government to the family tartans and kilts. The castle is huge but Ross took us to the best spots and had great historical stories to share along the way. Definitely book this tour - it is fantastic!

Great private walking tour of Edinburgh

Our guide, Mike was terrific. His knowledge of Scottish history was remarkable. He kept us entertained with readings in Scots from such luminaries as William Burns and David Howe. The tour itself covered all of the areas of the city that we were most interested in. There was never a dull moment and we greatly appreciated his droll sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and happily gave it a five star rating.

Edinburgh well done in 3 hrs

Andy was a great guide. He catered to my 10 year old and told stories that made us both laugh. For 3 hours, you really get to see a ton of Edinburgh’s history.

Ross was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. He braved the weather with us and thoughtfully and patiently answered all our questions.

Would recommend to a friend

Susan was so great! She was so knowledge and sweet, we had a fantastic times with her and learned so much. We were in Edinburgh for such a short time and were worried we weren’t going to see everything we wanted but if just a half day we saw almost everything we wanted to! We covered so much ground and just had such an overall great experience.

Edinburgh Walking Tour

Ross was absolutely amazing. He was prompt, professional, and pleasant. He really knows Edinburgh, and we saw many things we wouldn't have without his guidance. Ross is extremely knowledgeable!

More time needed in Edinburgh!!

Thomas was brilliant. This is a hilly town, so there are several inclines and steps. Well worth it. This was our first time in Edinburgh and we did not spend enough days here. We will come back. A fantastic city with fantastic people and food.

Perfect jump start

Great tour of all the major sites. Our guide Marty was personable and friendly. Being a local he not only knew the "official story" he offered additional insight to fill in some of the blanks between the lines.Marty also shared some great advice that help us odd the beaten path. Great way to start our vacation!

Impressive building perched at the top of the city...where we go and where we return It goes up constantly like all the streets of the old town
