Terry was an excellent guide.Was very knowledgeable and mixed in a lot of humor with the history which made her stories very interesting.She kept everyone on time without being overbearing which gave us time near the end to stop and pet the Highland coos.Loved it

Great tour, long day but worth it.

Terri our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging with everyone. I loved the stories and learned a lot about Scottish history. The scenery was beautiful and they really made sure we got the best photos. Our amazing driver surprised us at the end with a visit to meet some Highland coos. It was a very long day and lot of time spent on the coach but overall it was very enjoyable and I would recommend it so you can see the Highlands and Loch Ness all in the same day.

Excellent!

Excellent tour. Very professional, very well organised, super interesting and captivating - it offers most of Scotland's attractions/highlights you can possibly see within 1 day! 12 hours of travelling and over 600 km covered - it will leave you in awe! Dean the guide and Allen the driver were super friendly and engaging and did an excellent job. Thank you Guys!

Best Day Trip with Keith & Terry!

We had the most amazing experience during our Day trip. Keith & Terry definitely made this trip worth every penny. From the lovely stories shared, to the history behind every location we passed, to the pure comedy these two shared, they made this an experience unforgettable. Not to mention the breathtaking views we passed and stopped for. They even squeezed in a surprise stop to see the beautiful hairy coos! 11/10 experience!

Best tour ever!

Do not skip out on the cruise/castle part of this tour. Loch Ness was amazing, the Glen Coe area was beautiful! I am in love with the highlands. Graham and Jacqueline were great and had a wealth of knowledge they shared with us. I would do this tour again tomorrow if I could.

Very disappointed

If you want to take photos at Loch Ness and have a nice walk around, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS TOUR. Two stars are for the staff and the nice weather. 2 years ago I booked a similar tour (not sure if it's the same company) and we were given 2 hours at Fort Augustus. There was an amazing Lovh Ness view point and plenty of restaurant options. However today we were dropped off at Clansman Harbour which was in the middle of nowhere. Although they said the cruise tour was not compulsory, people who don't join the cruise tour like us had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do there and had to wait for 1.5 hours for those people to return from cruise. After that I thought we would stop by Fort Augustus for some photos like every other tours do, WE DIDN'T. Turns out we spent 13 hours on the road and couldn't take any photos at Loch Ness.

AN AMAZING DAY TRIP

This is a full day trip. It was a truly amazing scenic experience. To see all that we saw in 1 day was incredible. Our tour bus driver John did an excellent job of keeping us all safe, there were some very windy roads. Our guide Terri was not only knowledgeable, she was funny, sweet, knew when to share info with us, knew when to stay quiet. We are so glad she was our guide. Bonus, they were able to stop off on the way back to Edinburgh so that we could see the cutest hairy coos. This is a MUST DO trip.

WOULD DEFINITELY DO THIS AGAIN

Alan and Jacklyn were very informative, kept us on schedule, and were very nice and helpful! We loved the beautiful Scottish music playing during our ride and all the information given to us along the way. We also enjoyed all the stops. The Loch Ness boat ride was extremely quick; we were expecting a little longer ride before arriving at the castle. The ride was comfortable. Beautiful views along the way. Plenty of stops to use the bathroom and grab a snack or souvenir.

A Day in the Highlands

Overall, the trip was wonderful. We saw a lot of Scotland in one day. Louise was a good tour guide. The driver, Stevie, handled the bus travel very competently. Our on,y feedback would be there was not enough time at each place. However, this needs to be balanced with how much of the land and history we were exposed to. All in all, we’d recommend the day trip!

Amazing day out!

This trip was a wonderful day out, our guide (Louise) and driver (Steve) were both fantastic and highly knowledgeable. They give you some great recommendations for the places we stop at, which I would definitely follow to make the most out of your trip. I would say to bring some snacks with you, but they do give you the chance to pick some up at pitlochry when you stop. We also left promptly from each stop so by avoiding being late back to the coach we had some extra little stops thrown in that was great! Because of this we were never sat on the coach for more than around 2 hours at a time so it didn't feel like a 13hr trip, and there were plenty opportunities to go to the loo so there's nothing to worry about there! Overall I think this is a trip definitely worth doing if you're up in Edinburgh, fantastic value for money and great to do as a solo traveller!

Amazing Tour - a must do.

This was a great trip! Our tour guide Terry and driver Dave were amazing. I was worried about the 13 hour time frame but They chose great places to stop and had great stories which made the time go by nicely. Thank you for a great tour!

Scotland experience in one day.

What a great way to see a lot of Scotland in one day. Great bus driver. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, authentic and great at telling stories. There wasn't anything that I wasn't in aw of.

Worth to go!

Highland mountains must see attraction. There should be more time to spend in mountain less in Loch Ness. Loch Ness town is dull. But other attractions are breathtaking views and enjoy yourself😃

Thirteen Hours of Totally Worth It!

If you’re on the fence, you should do yourself a favor and book the trip! The bus is comfortable and has USB chargers, which I appreciated. Terri was extremely knowledgeable and delightful for 13 hours. The scenery is stunning, the cruise and castle add ons were so worth it. Lots of stops for pictures and taking it all in. John is an excellent driver and we always felt safe. I can’t say enough good things about it!

Awesome Tour With Spectacular Guides!

Terri and John made the trip more than memorable; they obviously worked together before, and we kept to our schedule so well, they commended us and took us to a couple of extra lookout stops. Her puns made us laugh--"They only get worse; I promise you!"--but her knowledge of Highland lore was exemplary and her stories captivated us. Fantastic Day Trip

We had a fantastic time & got extremely lucky with the weather as well! Chris and Audrey were our guides and they were a great pair. Highly recommend this tour if you have a day and want to see more of Scotland than expected, we didn’t rent a car so this was perfect. Easy pickup and drop off.

Excellent time in the Lochs

Dusty and Jenny were so knowledgeable, and told excellent stories about the history and countryside as we passed through. They were so well prepared, and helped us with anything we needed along the way. The sites we visited were beautiful and so memorable.

In love with

I loved my experience and will recommend to friends and family. The only thing I would ask to be reconsidered is the lunch break which felt a bit rushed. Apart from it I loved it.

Loch Ness and beyond.

Louise and Brodie were great hosts, both knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Views were amazing and so beautiful. Well worth the trip.

Fun day with a taste of lots of things

We ended up booking Highland Tours on short notice when our reservation on the Jacobite Train, made months in advance with another company, was cancelled. Overall, it was a very enjoyable, well-organized trip. Our tour guide, Charlie, provided helpful, funny, and educational commentary throughout about the places we were viewing. This was a 12 1/2-hour bus tour including Loch Ness, Glen Coe, and other places, and there are obvious positives and drawbacks to a trip like this. It was a large bus, with nearly every seat filled, so perhaps 48-50 people on the bus total. The bus was comfortable enough, but I wish the website and description were clearer upfront about the size of the vehicle and group (you can tell on some websites but not all). The trip is long (300 miles or so total) and there is a lot crammed into the itinerary, which means you get to see a little bit of a lot of things, though with a time constraint there isn’t much time to explore. There were a few stops on the tour, some ranging from 5-minute quick stops to snap photos to perhaps half an hour on the longer side once or twice. With multiple busloads of people visiting the same stops at the same time and strict constraints on timing, it was a bit challenging to be given a 30-minute window or less to visit the restroom, look for souvenirs, and grab something to eat. It was not ideal, but it was largely manageable, and the organizers definitely deserve a lot of credit for keeping everyone on time. I definitely recommend the optional Loch Ness cruise and Urquhart Castle visit (extra £28.00 per person); a 20-minute boat ride to the castle and perhaps 90 minutes at most to explore there. The sites (and sights) are breathtaking, and hearing some of the history was fascinating. It definitely left us wanting to come back and spend more time in many of the places we saw. If you’re looking for a taste of a bunch of things and are okay with the length of day and large vehicle, it’s definitely worth doing.

We enjoyed the tour. Great value for the price and indeed an amazing way to explore Scotland especially the Highlands. Very informative tour guide too. We’d definitely recommend it.

A Highland journey to always remember

This tour was exceptional! Our guide, Alan, was immensely knowledgeable, engaging, courteous and friendly. He made the bite journey one that my family and I will never forget. Best parts: All of it: But the Loch Ness boat tour and and the stops near Glen cod and Kilmahog were the highlights. Visiting the Highland cows (Hampshire, Honey and Baxter) were a peasant way to wrap up a long day.

Nice day in the highlands

With Niel and Dave. Had a nice time it’s a very long tour but with stops to get snacks it’s very doable and it a comfy bus. I would recommend motion sickness pills! I’m never motion sick but with all the turns when you get high up it really took a toll on me. The cows were wonderful!

Great Day Out

Great day out with lots of stops along the way. We enjoyed Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle and the Glencoe scenery especially. A great way to see beyond the city and we loved the surprise Hairy Coos stop at the end - Hamish and friends were gorgeous! Neil was a very good, safe driver and had a couple of good still ties to tell.

Amazing!

Neil and Terri were great! They were knowledgeable, kind, respectful, and so much fun. So many pictures. This is absolutely the best way to see the Highlands if you’re uncomfortable driving in the area. Thank you all so much for an experience I’ll never forget!

Thistle and Unicorns

A jam-packed 13 hour day tour. This tour allowed us to see so much of Scotland, which we would not have been able to do otherwise. Terry and Neil were amazing! The next time we’re in Scotland I would love to do another tour with them.

Great day tour

Great tour visiting all the places listed. Unfortunately we were not able to see the iconic Glen Coe at its best view point due to lack of parking. The bus had to park a mile up to road far away from the picturesque view of the peaks. Everything else was fantastic.

Loved it!

Really good experience with Charlie Macbeth (great name!) and Dave. Every stop was meaningful with valuable insights from Charlie. A quick tip: the winding roads can cause motion sickness so bring nausea recommendation, and the trip can be too long for young children. Travel solo or with adults.

Very tiring Journey

It was very long journey. The place where stop was given was not a photo genic. While Seats are also very hard. In the trave time of 12 and half hours, seat must be very comfortable. The last stop where we visited Scottish castle, the cafe was closed and there were no toilets there. The tour was very long..it should be cut off and stop shall be taken at highland only

We enjoyed this trip very much! It was a long day but worth it. We saw a lot of beautiful places, castles, and took a boat ride on Loch Ness. Dave and Charlie were great! They shared a lot of history and had nice stops along the way. Even fed some Highland cows!

Tour experience 10/10

Enjoyed the trip to the Highlands, Glen Coe & Loch Ness. The bus was super comfy and the ride was smooth. Our trip was remarkable specially due to Hugh and Charles, our tour guides, who were absolutely amazing! Their knowledge, sense of humor, passion & hospitality, made us feel right at home and made the trip even more memorable. Their vast knowledge about history, geography, the country, stories of the legends etc, you’ll learn so much on this trip in a very fun way. Highly recommend booking with them if you want the real warm Scottish hospitality & a fun tour specifically with this marvelous duo (Charles and Hugh). An experience we’ll never forget.

Absolutely loved it

Had a remarkably amazing trip with Charley and Hugh! Jaw dropping views, interesting stories about Scottish history and a good mood - everything I needed! The trip pace was very well organised, had time to buy food, go to toilets and take photos. I was really impressed with Scotland on this trip. Thank you for opening my eyes on such amazing country! A great Highland tour!!

We had Chris as our driver/guide and was a amazing time, he was very informative along with a great sense of humour! Saw so many amazing views especially in the Highlands. But we were very appreciative of the last stop to see the "Hairy Coos!" I was concerned before the tour that there would be an issue of no bathroom on board but there was enough stops to deal with that!

Nice trip

Me and my daughter really enjoyed the boat trip and visit to Urquhart Castle. It is a long trip but other stops were too short.

Highlands

The whole trip was great. Charlie and Paul were excellent. They provided a good mix of history and local Scottish customs.

Great drive-by trip of the Scottish Highlands

The Scottish highlands are beautiful. Most of the trip is riding on the bus and seeing the countryside. You get to stop every couple of hours to see small towns, monuments, scenic mountain views, and Loch Ness. You have the option of getting a cruise and castle tour for extra money—they only accepted cash on the trip, but you can buy in advance using a card, I believe. Alan was the name of our driver and had good stories and a great voice. He must’ve talked for almost half the trip with hours of information about all of the places; it was quite the feat! I would recommend the trip, but make sure to bring cash if you want to buy the tickets same-day, and don’t expect to do a lot of walking or exploring—it’s mostly coach-rest-coach-rest.

Absolutely loved our tour guides (Terry and Graham). Beautiful scenery and lots and lots of information was given during this tour.

Marathon tour

Pros- bus is very comfortable with usb ports to charge your phone. The highlands are incredibly beautiful. Loch Ness and Urquhart castle are highlights of the trip. The bus makes a stop every couple of hours so the passengers can take a bathroom break or grab a snack at a local shop. Cons - Tour is very long, 12 hours! You do see a lot of the country side but it is a long day and small children would probably not enjoy it. The PA system also had problems al day and it was hard to hear the guides commentary on the sites we were passing.

Bonus Stop if you Observe Time Management!

Apart from her bad jokes, Terry was an excellent guide with her positive energy radiating throughout the day. She also did a really great job with time management, ensuring that everyone returned to the bus punctually. I honestly never seen someone so young better manage a large so well, especially the tricky bit with the cruise and castle. The tour itself fulfilled all its promises with good stops for photo taking, including of the 3 Sisters of Glencoe. We didn't do the castle but we did buy tickets for the Loch cruise. It was lovely with a hot cuppa of whisky choc. And if everyone gets back on time early from all the stops, you will get to enjoy a nice bonus stop, which proved to be very memorable for the young and the young at heart. I won't dream of ruining it for you!

Amazing Highland experience

This tour was brilliant! Get to experience the beautiful scenery of the Scottish Highlands including Glencoe and the Nevis range take a cruise on Loch Ness and explore Urqhart Castle (optional extra £28, which l'd recommend), travel back via Stirling and generally get to see a lot of the Scottish countryside. Our tour guide Terri was most informative, entertaining and full of energy. Both Terri and Mike our driver were really friendly and made the tour a pleasure. Would recommend!

Thank you Scotland

To say it was an experience is putting it mildly. Money well spent. The views and the places we visited were magnificent, and will remain with us forever. We could never have achieved it all without touring with this very professional company. A big thank you to Graham for his expert driving and snippets of information, and to Dejan {apologies if incorrect } for divulging the history surrounding the countryside from both a serious and humorous angle. Two very grateful passengers, even though we are English.{ Southend on Sea does have the longest pleasure pier.}

Wonderful day out, long but worth it.

Loch Ness is amazing so scenic. Unfortunately Urquart castle was ruined by a very angry, surly and rude guide. The Cairngorms National park and the history was a high point then the hairy coos at the end. Absolutely loved our tour guide.
