Great Time in the Highlands

Great experience! Definitely worth hiring a private car for this tour! And Joao made the tour more memorable. He was full of knowledge of the area and a pleasure to talk to. We would highly recommend this tour!

Most beautiful scenery

Most beautiful scenery We ever seen. Stunning view of landscape, many surprises, from land to mountains, mountains to water (lake/loch in Scottish), and many more. Corrinne our tour guide doing a great job. He trying do everything to make us comfort and happy. She’s very helpful, friendly, attentive.

Great trip!

It was a long day but Martin was the absolute best! We saw so many things, castles, highland cows, more castles, the highlands, Glencoe, I highly recommend if you have limited days but want to as much as you can.

Stunning views! Good fun all around.

Jimmy was just great! The whole family had a blast and every view was more spectacular than the last. One of the highlights was the “Hairy Coos”.

Good with some changes

This is a hard tour to review. On one hand, our driver was really informative and he took us to some beautiful places that weren't on the tour - such as a special kirk and oyster tasting. The reason for the lower review was the car. We were much too big to sit in that car. It was very uncomfortable. The tour also lasted 9 hours which was far too long to be in an uncomfortable car. We also felt slightly rushed at each place. I would recommend this tour with a more comfortable car and less sights to see with longer stops at each site.

Amazing experience in the Scottish Highlands!

Taiymur was an excellent tour guide and driver! We had an amazing experience exploring the Scottish Highlands. We saw the Loch Lomond, Inveraray Castle, the Kelpies, Argyll Forest Park, Glencoe, the Three Sisters, the Jacobite train ( Hogwarts Express!!), Doune Castle and most importantly the Highland Coos!! This was the most amazing day. The Scottish highlands are incredible and Taiymur was able to show us so much in one day. We saw many castles, churchs, mountains, and waterfalls. The three sisters in Glencoe was breathtaking! Taiymur was super flexible with our group and made sure we saw everything. He was very patient and explained extensive Scottish history. Highly recommend this tour!

Highland tour with Corrine

The tour was fabulous- the views were incredible. Our guide, Corrine, was engaging, informative, friendly, and entertaining. We most highly recommend her as your tour guide.

A wonderful day with wonderful sights

We had a great day with Simon! We saw some of the beautiful landscapes and places along with the infamous cows. Simon even had some local items for us to try. It was a great day.

See Scotland in a day!

Jimmy was really personable and prepared. We had little kids and it was a long day for the kids but he did a great job and we feel like we had a full Scottish experience in one day!

Our tour of the Highlands...

Our tour of the Highlands with Corinne was awesome! She was a wonderful guide and we were able to see so much just in one day. Feeding cows and seeing the beautiful scenery is a must on a trip to Scotland.

Not worth the extra money

It was a lot of money (10x the amount) compared to the larger group ones so we thought we'd get a better experience. We discussed in the morning what we wanted to see and went on the guides recommendation and then ran out of time. We didn't see Glencoe...that was the whole point. He was also in a rush to get home.

Our guide knocked it out of the ballpark!

Our guide, Taiymur, really made things happen on this tour. I was excited to see one castle on our tour since it was in the area of some of my ancestors. I mentioned that another castle linked to my ancestry was pretty far north and would have to wait for another trip. But Taiymur checked on it and said it could be done if we adjusted a few things, and off we went! and that castle was particularly special to me. This did put us behind a little and I resigned myself that we would miss out on the Highland Coos - but no! He made that happen too. "Rosie" came right up to the fence and made some lovely facial expressions for us! This tour really made our trip.

Troy was the best guide for the Highlands! Authentic, knowledgeable, and quite fun throughout the trip! We hit all of the highlights as advertised, as well as a few pleasant surprises mixed in. A wonderful day! Highly recommended.

Wonderful trip to the Highlands.

Fantastic trip! Our driver, Corinne was great. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Corinne made sure we saw and did what we wanted. She is an excellent driver.

The most rememberable Scotland experience with Skak!

We had the most rememberable Scotland experience with Skak! He was attentive to all our needs from needing Gluten Free and one had motion sickness. Shak spent all the extra time we needed to see all the stops in the itinerary. We had the best of time. Shak has great humor and made us laugh all along the way. When you book this tour...ask for Shak! You will not be disappointed.

Drive through the Highlands

Full day out in the highlands getting a feel of the country. Beautiful scenery and hearing stories made it special. Inveraray Castle and riding through Glencoe were just some of the special highlights we saw.

Wonderful Day Trip!

We loved our trip to the Highlands with David as our guide! He knew the best places to go and made sure we were comfortable and had food stops. He went out of his way to find the coos for us to meet! The coos, the highland scenery and Inverary Castle were our favorites. Highly recommend visiting Inverary Castle and the gardens.

Definitely a Highlands "greatest hits"

We wished we had about two more weeks in the Scottish Highlands, but this was a great sample of activities. We loved driving around, seeing the scenery and castles, and spotting all the adorable coos! Corinne, our guide, was friendly and accommodating and made sure to check in about our preferences. Definitely would recommend this :)

Hello Highlands

Our tour guide, George, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He was very concerned that we had a wonderful trip and he succeeded in his mission. We visited an ancient village. Saw a “modern” church which was 100 years old. The castle we visited was gorgeous as were the gardens! We were overwhelmed by the beauty of the Highlands. Needless to say, this tour was one of the very best parts of our trip! Thank you, George, for a wonderful experience!!

Beauty at every corner

Wow! This tour was absolutely exceptional made even better by our lively guide Shak! We did so much on this tour and saw so many beautiful vistas that I was left in awe. Shak was always very attentive with us and made sure that we got to see everything we wanted to. We now know that the highland coo’s love bananas after the carrots run out. Loved this tour

Our tour guide, Shaq, made this a very memorable experience. He obviously loves Scotland and the Highlands and his love is infectious. He showed us how beautiful the area is and how much he appreciates the country. We fell in love with Scotland and its beauty on this tour. Shaq made sure that we were comfortable every minute and he was very attentive to our needs. The Highlands are beautiful and unique and Shaq was an excellent tour guide. Great Family Tour Experience

Really great private tour with our extended family of 8 including 2 teenage girls. Martin was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Spent time where we wanted and provided snacks and other treats for long duration tour. Outstanding nature scenery, castles and towns. Day trip to Highlands

What an amazing day! We saw so many beautiful, remarkable and historic places on our day trip from Edinburgh to Glencoe. Taiymur was a gracious and knowledgeable guide who took care of us and ensured we had a memorable trip! He made stops to let us take photos (and took some for us!) all along the way. We especially appreciated when he took us to an alternate farm to see Highland Coos when the usual one was unavailable. We highly recommend this day trip, and Taiymur, if you want to see a lot of Scotland in one day!

Highland Tour

We had George as our personal driver. He had route planned, but he was also flexible on times. He was a great tour guide. He even brought a bottle of whisky and we were having a toast in the Highlands. He also brought us bags of carrots to feed the Highland cows. We can recommend this tour. Thank you George! Amazing tour with E2G and George!

The tour with E2G was definitely the highlight of my trip to Scotland. The amount of history, sights, and overall Scottish experience was second to none. My tour from Edinburgh was with George. He is an amazing person and terrific guide. I like to think that we met as strangers that morning and departed as friends that evening. Outstanding Highland/Castle/livestock tour from Edinburgh

We had George as our personal driver and guide. Outstanding ! He arrive way in advance of our departure, had route planned out but also extremely flexible on time constraints locations we wanted to see. He was extremely knowledgeable , friendly and so positive . He even brought a bottle of scotch to have a toast at the top of roadway in the Highlands at 3 Sisters . Spectacular unforgettable experience

George from E2G Tours gave us the highlight of our whole trip with this tour. We had trouble finding a day trip from Edinburgh to the highlands, since we were traveling with a toddler, but George was so accommodating. They provided a car seat and gave us freedom to stop whenever needed and adapt our itinerary. We started by seeing and feeding highland cows, then worked our way into the highlands, stopping by quaint towns, castles, incredible views of the mountains and lakes. Lunch was great, even with vegetarian options. The best part was the view of the Glencoe mountains! George was so amiable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour!!

Highlands family tour review

Had a lovely trip to the Highlands tour with my family and Shak. There were some amazing views and photos taken. All of the stops were great and very family friendly. Shak did a fabulous job stopping when we needed on the trip / flexing it as needed and making sure we got the best pictures and sites to see possible! Had great information about everywhere as well. E2G travel also is a great company to book trips with as they are very accommodating and work well with you! (Especially when you mess up you own booking lol) also provided a child car seat which was a plus when traveling with a little one! 10/10 customer service.

Must see the Scottish Highlands

Martin was an excellent tour guide! He kept us comfortable with local snacks & food. A wonderful sense of humor, we laughed the whole day. He made sure we saw everything we wanted to see. Parts of the day were rainy & cold, but we still loved every minute of it. The highlands are beautiful and the roads are windy. Booking a private tour was perfect for accommodating upset stomachs or bathroom breaks. We are definitely coming back & definitely booking with them again. Fiona was a delight. She showed us everything from the Highland cows to the Kelpies to the Three Sisters and so many things in between. Fiona made sure we enjoyed our day of adventures around Scotland. Highly recommend!

Scotland Forever!

We booked the “Private Tour of the Highlands from Edinburgh” this past December. As expected, the weather was less than perfect. Despite ample rain and cooler temperatures, Martin, our tour guide, remained committed to our Scottish Highland tour. Unexpected Road closures meant Martin and his team had to quickly pivot and find alternate routes for our itinerary due to fleeting daylight hours. He safely navigated roadways, advised us of interesting Scottish history, and treated us to delicious sustenance during our journey. In the beginning, we were less than optimistic our tour would commence; but working in unison, Martin and his team ended up providing an enjoyable Highland experience. Martin was kind, friendly, and accommodating to our needs. We will not hesitate booking Martin for any future tour upon our return to Scotland.

Truly memorable!!

Chrissie was such an amazing tour guide & made sure we had the best experience possible. Even with limited light and chilly temps, it was AWESOME! The views of the highlands and the photos we got were truly memorable. We heard it’s prettier in the spring but can’t imagine how it could be better than these snow capped vistas! I’d definitely recommend Chrissie and this company to my friends.

A good one day introduction to the Highlands

Our guide, Martin, was very informative, and conversational. He tried to adapt our tour to what we preferred. He did a good job keeping the tour entertaining despite some bad weather. We had some very interesting stops along the way and we had some good photos. He also provided some tasty local treats and we tried some whisky! He was a good communicator before the tour so we knew all of the details about pickup. The large van worked well for our family of 4 with plenty of room. He was very kind and cared about our experience. Be prepared for long stretches of driving from Edinburgh.

Not A Good Way To Spend A Day

I was so disappointed in this tour. I knew there was a problem when a small Toyota sedan arrived to pick up four adults for a full day tour. Once inside the vehicle, it clearly was a smoking vehicle, which left me with a scratchy throat and headache for two days. I had the clear feeling we were on the outside of all of the attractions all day. Arriving at the Kelpies long after everything was closed. While the guide was pleasant, I paid a lot of money for a private tour, which ended up being a long day in a small car, that you really couldn’t even enjoy the sights from the back seat.

Just what we wanted…

The whole experience felt intimate and enjoyable. Traveling as a family of four with one the most friendliest tour guide (Shak) made this experience memorable. It allowed to see and enjoy at our pace and the sights were breathtaking. Highly recommend doing it this way!!!

Great day in the highlands with my mother and aunt.

We were very well looked after by our guide George. I was taking out very senior relatives and one with restricted mobility. They were given every opportunity to enjoy themselves and with utmost comfort.
