Tim was funny, knowledgable, and a great driver. We had time to take a few side trips as well as the cruise on Loch Ness (which was too short but I understand they had to keep to the schedule). Definitely a top-notch day!

Day trip to remember

My husband and I had an amazing time on this day trip with our driver lucky. The information that’s he gave us was very informative. Lucky had really smooth driving skills especially on the narrow street where we thought there was not enough space. Lucky’s music selection and sense of humor really kept us going.

It was a wonderful informative day on the bus. Our driver/tour guide, Martin, is fantastic with all his information and anecdotes and excellent driving skills. He definitely should be earning two salaries for his services as other all-day bus tours we took this vacation had both a guide and a driver. The actual Loch Ness was a bit anticlimactic for us as the setting is in a burgh where you can catch a boat, but I think I was expecting trails and wilderness. Also we do live in WA state where it is not unlike the glacial Lake Chelan.

Amazing tour guide and tour.

Ryan was an amazing tour guide. We felt safe and found him to be extremely knowledgeable. We had lots of opportunities for photographs and thoroughly enjoyed his commentary. This was the best tour we have been on and would recommend it to anyone. We are from Australia. Well done Ryan.

Edinburgh tour to loch Ness

We had a great tour with Ryan on the 2nd April, very informative tour with a touch of light humour, some great stories of past times and even a visit to the highland Coo's which he really like himself. Highly recommended for a good day touring. 😀

Highlands in a day

This is a good tour if you are in Edinburgh and have a day to see Highlands. The drive through the Higlands is as much of a part of the sightseeing as the stops. Laurie and Grahm were awesome! Thank you for the stories!

Unforgettable Journey

What a wonderful day this was! Right from the start , early morning we were welcomed by Paul, introducing himself as our driver and our guide. Very polite and helpful ,very smart yet a super careful driver. It was a 14 hour journey and not a minute wasted! There was a time that we were a little ahead of schedule and was privileged enough to view more spectacular scenery !!!! I don't want to miss saying that we were also assisted from a very polite girl at 60 hight street office. We would definitely choose you again Paul !!! Scotland never enough

Second time with Haggis Adventure. They are the best. Scotland, there are so many things to explore. Highlands are the best to visit. Visited some whiskey distillery so far and still wanted to explore more.

The perfect way to visit the Highlands in a one-day tour

My friends and I had the best time up in the Highlands with the Haggis Adventures Tour. Everything was great. Luckily, the weather was in our favour, we made it to all the stops, and above all, our group had the best tour guide and driver 'Brodie' with his funny, kind, and punctual persona, who is also scottish which I hadn't, for a second, got bored of his amazing storytelling, tales, and facts about the places we pass by, which indeed for me made the experience in the Highlands much more enjoyable. Thank you Brodie for making me planning to come again to Scotland and the Highlands.

Trust Haggis Adventures for your Scottish Highlands trip

We booked a day tour to Loch Ness, Glencoe, etc. with Haggis Adventures in the last week of December 2023. And the guide-cum-driver, Brodie was very professional and amazing at what he did. We all were hooked to his knowledge while enjoying the scenic routes at the same time!

Beautiful, funny and entertaining day trip

Our guide Alistair was brilliant, very witty and we learned absolute tons about all things Scottish/Scotland and various other details we would absolutely not have been able to find out by ourselves. The scenery is stunning, the stops entertaining and Loch Ness... just breathtaking really. Highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Always good to see far away places, but I believe there are better tour companies

Well...the cows were cute, got some good pics of them and a few of landscapes. Spent most of the tour on the bus unfortunately 😪 The longest part was in Loch Ness, wish we would've spent the 2 hrs at a more interesting location. Not to mention Viator booked my excursion incorrectly, and we weren't on the list! Thankfully everyone working that day was amazing and got us in the last 2 spots on the bus! But will I book through Viator again, more than likely no.

Great tour

Great tour guide who was very informative and interesting. Bus driver very friendly. Lunch was a little underwhelming.

Great day but we were definitely tired

Our guide for the day, Sophie was fantastic. She told us lots of historical facts in a fun & friendly way without talking constantly. She was amazing at her job & a lovely girl

Left stranded when the bus left early and not even willing to refund

The ground staff on the Edinburgh bus station was imcompetent and untrained on how to deal with the customers. Our bus left without us while the ground operator trying to locate our names. Should he not be knowing that they are a few passengers short? One the of agent Roland was very rude and tried to put blame on us as we were not early enough. Another lady however eventually tried to help to get us on another tour. Every other of their tour bus was leaving at least 5-10 minutes after the scheduled time so it's not that they are very punctual. I suspect they sold our tickets to someone else and as soon as the bus was full it just left. We eventually ended up doing our own day tour. Haggins are not even willing to refund our tickets.. Very Poor expereince with Haggins..

Connor was an AMAZING tour guide! He was so knowledgeable. He was funny and played great tunes. He was a very skilled driver. He ran the tour so well. We loved the personal stories he told and his connection to the area.

The best day of our trip to Scotland! #RichsBus

My boyfriend and I had a lovely day across the Highlands thanks to our amazing guide Rich! He knows every story and how to tell them! He also made us laugh a lot and entertained the trip with Scottish music (classic and modern). He actually told us how to find his Spotify list, which was great since I enjoyed it very much. The day of our trip there had been some high winds and rain, and we couldn't follow the itinerary exactly as planned, which was unfortunate. However, we stopped to see hairy cows and even fed them some carrots and followed some less busy roads, which was a great option for us anyway! We did a lot of things in and around Edinburgh in a week but this one was my favourite for sure and I couldn't recommend it more!

The Highlands via Knight Bus

The Highlands tour was possibly my favorite part of my stay in Scotland! The tour guide: Conner (? I'm not great with names), was phenomenal. He spoke Gaelic! I was surprised the mirrors stayed on the bus along those narrow roads, but Conner had some mad Harry-Potter-Knight-Bus driving skills. 100% would recommend this tour.

Nice host but the experience was not that great

The host gets from me first of all a big 10 out 10. He was enthusiastic throughout the trip and you can see that he does this work with pride and that he radiates. He gave a lot of information about Scotland, but I regret that I have chosen this trip and had actually expected more, partly because I wanted to visit Scotland, specifically to visit this places. I would like to explain below why I think my experience was not that great. This trip started at 08:00 to 20:00 approximately, but we literally stopped twice to enjoy a nice view. The rest of the time we were just sitting in the bus and few times we stopped, but that was purely for a toilet visit. The first stop was to enjoy a beautiful view (which was only 5 minutes) The second stop was Loch Ness (where you could choose to do a boat tour) If you didn't book the boat tour, you really had nothing on this trip. When I was on the bus I had seen a lot of beautiful things, but I missed that because we were only in the bus. I recommend this trip especially to older people, very young children and immobile people. If you are still young I would just rent a car and drive in that direction yourself and then you can decide where you want to stop and go hiking for example if you prefer. You can also book the boat tour by yourself when you get there.

Connor’s personal touch made this a day to remember

If you are short on time and craving a trip to see the Highlands, I recommend this day trip. Trip was very well organized and left on time. Our tour driver/guide, Connor, shared stories of history throughout the trip which helped bring background to what we were seeing. Along the way we passed a number of sites and we stopped every few hours for breaks. Each time Connor ensured we had everyone and stayed on time. Highlights included stops for incredible views and a chance to look for Nessie! Highly recommend for a memorable day.

Beautiful countryside, amazing scenery! The long bus ride was very worthwhile! Went in this tour on 7/10, unfortunately, I forgot the driver’s name. He did a great job, too!

My favourite Memory

This trip was the most amazing experience of my life and is without a doubt my favourite memory, our tour guide Thomas was so funny and kind, he always kept us entertained, it was my 18th birthday and without asking he and Kevin the driver got me a birthday cake and some whiskey and sang me a happy birthday! So grateful 🥲 Thank you for the best day of my life!

12.5 hours long, mostly on bus

The guide was entertaining and played the bagpipes at rest stops. but I had no idea when I signed up for this tour that it was 12.5 hours long and that most of that time would be spent on the bus. I would not have gone on this tour if I’d know it was so long and included so little time to walk around. Length of time on bus + foggy conditions can lead to motion sickness. Plus there’s the opportunity cost of what you’re not seeing in Edinburgh if you only have limited time in the area. Nowhere on the trip description here does it list an end time but it’s actually 8:30 pm. You spend a half hour at a rest stop at a woolen mill where the line for coffee it’s too long, 10 minutes taking pictures at Glen coe, 1.5 hrs a Loch Ness, 10 min taking pics near Ben Nevis, though it’s unclear which mountain that is when you stop, and another pit stop in a cute town of Pitlochry (where you can get whiskey flavored ice cream). Hardly any time out and about and sooo much driving. Have I said there’s a lot of driving? The Loch Ness ferry boat is worth the extra 15 pounds. No Nessy sighting but the cool air on the boat is refreshing after all that time on the bus and the guide tells cool stories about the creatures that have been found in the Loch.

Too Much Bus

You’re really just paying to be driven to Loch Ness and back. Sure the drive is pretty, but you’re out of the bud for 2/12 hours.

Rich was a wonderful tour guide and we had so much fun on our adventures! We got to see so many amazing sites and listened so some excellent tunes and stories along that way :)

Amazing day

Our driver/storyteller Greg did an amazing job on this tour. It was raining on and off all day but I had a great day out. The lunch was good and just right for the packed day we had. The boat cruise was also excellent.

Highlands in a day

Thomas was great fun and gave us lots of information and my fellow travellers were very friendly. It was my first day of retirement and visiting Glencoe was a big tick off my bucket list-stunningly beautiful! Loved the boat trip on Loch Ness-again lots of information given.

This was a great tour,...

This was a great tour, the tour guide (Callum) was amazing. Despite not being able to go to Loch Ness due to an accident, he took us to different places to make up for the time and told us lots of different stories. Tour also proposed to refund the money, so good company

Would recommend

Calum was a lovely guide, just providing the right level of background information along the way. Multi stops for pictures a-plenty. Even Ben Nevis showed its top. Lunch was a ham and mustard roll, a bag of crisps and a single shortbread biscuit so not as "Scottish " as expected. We didn't do the boat tour but I wish we'd done it now, a long way to get there and not much opportunity to walk around the Loch.

Richie, what a guy and guide!

Richie was such a class tour guide. He had us laughing, nearly crying, and generally just enjoying our tour. His honesty and knowledge were above expectation, and I look forward to recommending his tour to all visiting "bonny" Scotland. Thanks Richie!

Great Tour Guide Callum

Collin, our guide, was a great storyteller and adapted quickly to the traffic accident which blocked our way to the primary destination of Lochness. It was very disappointing not to see it or to take the boat ride We had paid for but grateful to Colllum for regrouping and taking us to see the Kelpies, Highland cows and sheep. I would like a full refund of the 33 pounds pad for two of us to take the Lochness boat trip. I look forward to you positive response. Thank you, Margaret Nardi

Rich Loves his job and it shows!

LOCH NESS & HIGHLANDS BUS TOUR Rich is someone who really loves his job and it shows! This was our first bus tour in Edinburgh and I have to say it was way better than I could’ve imagined. Rich Lawrence (the driver/guide) kept us informed of all the local history dating far back to the 10-1200’s. His impressive storytelling makes you feel as though you are taken back in time & century to the events. I just can’t say enough of how great this guide was! Along with his knowledge he also pointed out the locations of tv & movies productions so that if you hadn’t seen the films he spoke of you could take a photo and review it again later after watching one or more of the shows. The entertainment didn’t stop there though he also played his music intermittently which consisted of Scottish music artists, or songs written by Scots. (some that I didn’t even realize were). If you choose just one tour to go on make it this one and be sure to ask for Rich Lawerence, you won’t be disappointed! Riches tour will leave you wanting to see every film ever shot in and around Scotland when you return home with the wealth of information he provides. Oh I forgot to mention the lunch…, sandwiches were made with tasty fresh baked buns, along side chips and a tasty cookie. I should also mention we had several stops to stretch our legs, take photos walk around and see the towns and of course hop on a boat and search for the Loch ness! (Extra fee for the boat ride) I recommend taking this tour! And lastly make sure you take a photo with the Scotland flag that Rich provides, I’m now regretting I never did. :-/ #HaggisAdventures @Haggistours

Very worth it!

It's a great day! The tour guide, Rich, is hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. He was mindful of great photo opportunities and was very personal. Definitely do the Loch Ness cruise even if the weather isn't perfect (although we got lucky yesterday). Really beautiful time. Although it was just a nice thrown in extra town, I wish we could have spent longer in Pitlochry!

Callum was a fantastic guide and great story teller. The our was well paced, entertaining with the right amount of information and opportunities for picturesque photo stops. I had a great time and it was an amazing opportunity to experience the highlands and Loch Ness in just a day.

Great stories and views

We had a great time on the trip, far exceeding our expectations as we had never been on one before ! Tom was a great guide, kind and helpful with great storytelling skills! He had a great playlist of Scottish music that he shared with us. We saw so much of the Highlands on the trip and learned a lot. The Loch Ness tour is well worth it! Lovely lunch too.

Did this tour and was really impressed with the tour guide Scot and all the knowledge he had about Scotland. He was fun and sang! Great tour guide and company! Sandwiches were also good and tasty! Would love to come back and do a longer tour that was recommended!

Wow! What a brilliant day. I don’t do coach trips and get quite travel sick, but our amazing guide Scott, kept us entertained from beginning to end. What a wealth of knowledge this guy has! We learned so much about Scotland on this trip. We did the Loch Ness cruise when we got to Fort William which was great (but cold). The best part was Scott though. The stories and tales he came out with were amazing. Thank you so much, you made the trip.

Great experience

Great places to view, a bit on fast forward but it would be impossible to spend more time and see all these in one day. It is well organised and our driver Rich made the trip more enjoyable as he told us many stories and gave us a lot of information about places. I totally recommend the experience.
