Wonderful tour and Stewart the guide is amazing!

We had a lovely little tour group and our tour guide Stewart was amazing. We had plenty of time at each location and even had a wonderful lunch that Stewart booked reservations for us. He went out of his way to suggest a great restaurant rather than the one usually used by the tour and it was very good! Stewart showed us nice picture locations and even offered to take family pictures for us so we could have a lovely picture with everyone in it. The stop to see his friends the highland cows was a wonderful extra stop. He also made suggestions about other tours and stops we may want to make on another day or tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone, we really enjoyed our day.

Highlight of my trip to Scotland

I booked this tour because I wanted to see Loch Lomond, but wasn't that sure about the other places on the itinerary. I ended up absolutely loving every minute of this trip and our guide, Niall, was so entertaining, friendly, and knowledgeable. I learned so much and it's definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Scotland. I highly recommend taking a tour with this group!

Great adventure in Scotland!

Our trip up to Loch Lomond, the Kelpies, and Stirling Castle was brought to life by our guide Gregor. He was full of energy and an endless source of information. We had plenty of time exploring all areas and felt the detailed information he gave us regarding the history of the places we visited, as well as Scotland in general was fabulous. I definitely recommend his expertise as we thoroughly enjoyed our excursion. Thank you, Gregor!

Wonderful tour!

Wonderful day trip from Edinburgh! Ian, our guide, was amazing! He was fun, knowledgeable and had so many great stories and interesting facts to share. It was a nice and relaxing change from sightseeing on foot by ourselves. The small group size (16 people max) was great, and the bus offered wonderful views from every seat. We loved it to bits!

Great tour!

Loved our tour guide Trevor. Knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. All parts of the trip were beautiful and interesting but I loved the cows the most!

A Memorable Day!

My husband and I just got back from taking the Rabbie’s Trossachs / Stirling Castle and Kelpies tour lead by our excellent, informative and absolutely hilarious tour guide/bus driver, Jim Scott. We stopped at the majestic Kelpies long enough, about 20 minutes, to take wonderful pictures, use the toilets, and get a snack. We then headed to Trossachs National park for a steep but manageable climb along a trail with excellent views before descending to the “Bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond!” It was breathtaking! We stopped for an hour lunch in the quaint little village of Callander. Then off to Stirling Castle. The castle was fun, with staff as medieval characters interacting with visitors. As gardeners, my husband and I really enjoyed the lovely gardens and the spectacular views offered from the castle parapets. While driving between stops, Jim was highly entertaining, offering informative, historical tidbits, doing hilarious imitations, playing Scottish music, and getting the whole bus involved in a really fun sing-along… a great time was had by all! Wonderful mix

The hike around the loch, the music the driver played, the history of the castle, and of course the kelpies. But most of all our driver and guide, Trevor. He’s the best and brought the history to life.

Please correct the itinerary

We have booked many times with Viator and Viator has exceeded our expectations. However, Viator, please correct your website. In this Kelpies/Loch Lomond/Stirling Castle tour, we were supposed to be offered the chance to take a 1-hour cruise on Loch Lomond at an additional cost. What actually happened is that we were dropped at a cafe/rest area near Loch Lomond. We were not told that this is the opportunity to see the loch. Had we known that there is no cruise and that we should have walked to some kind of viewing point, we would have. :(

Not to be missed

What a great experience! The breathtaking Kelpies of folklore. The fabled bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. And the beautiful Stirling Castle. Gregor was a charming and informative guide. All around a wonderful day.

Great tour. Pete, our guide, was very knowlegeable about Scotish history. Had interesting stories to tell. Nice views everywhere we went.

Average tour on a good van

Loch Lomond is underwhelming and not worth the long drive. The van was comfortable and had charging ports on each seat. Stirling Castle was good. Kelpies could have been a passby...stop not required. 3* for tour, 4* for our guide Mina. Lunch stop around 2 pm on sunday and most places closed.

Kelpies, Sterling Castle Loch Lomond Tour

My daughter and I did the tour of the Kelpies, Sterling Castle and Loch Lomond. While the weather was awful, the tour was amazing. We had tour guide Gregor who deserves a very high review. He was knowledgeable, funny and make our day even more memorable. Found the time at each place was enough when trying to fit so much in all in one day. We definitely highly recommend this tour company and especially Gregor

Amazing Tour of Scotland Rabbies Tour Group

The beauty of the castle and history. The Klempies and the story behind them. Our guide Duncan went way and above in assisting us. My husband was in a wheelchair and he was azesome in all the help he gave us!! Great tour company!!

What a great day!

We had a great day with our lovely & handsome tour guide Gregor. He's a great storyteller and it was very sweet when he got all enthusiastic while telling you stories or pointing things out on the road. There was enough time to take photos and to enjoy things and we had a good amount of stops to use the bathroom or buy something.

A great overview for time spent...

The trip was adequate. It allowed us to find places and sites we wanted to see when we had our rental vehicle. It provided us with context time-wise and helped us better plan our upcoming activities. Some places seemed "out of context" and left us asking why we came here.

Best guide and itinerary!

Excellent tour guide named Grant! So much history, beautiful sights and educational information. Lots of driving between each stop but Grant keeps you entertained and informed. Excellent three stops as well, it would be hard to pack in so much if you were doing this on your own! Sterling castle is a must see, don’t miss the guided tour and make sure to spend time before or after seeing it all. Kelpies are breathtaking and Loch Lomond is spiritual

Living my best life in Scotland ❤️

Every stop we made was absolutely breathtaking. Our guide Greger was exceptionally informative, bubbly and sweet!! And a great story teller. Mark our driver was also engaging and fun to talk to. I highly recommend as a must see.

It was OK if you have little time, otherwise spend more time at Stirling Castle

The Kelpies are impressive, however, they look far more impressive in pictures as they were situated next to a busy highway which took away much of their appeal. Loch Lomond's stop should have been longer to give us a chance to see more of it vs. leaving to get lunch at a less appealing town nearby. Stirling Castle was impressive; after experiencing the guided tour, I recommend the self-guided audio tour which would give you more time to see what you want vs. only a few items.

The tour guide, Aliaster was excellent, a real credit to your company. He was helpful, friendly and had a wealth of information and stories to pass. He made the trip so enjoyable and informative. The weather was great, a plus for Scotland and fellow travellers very friendly.

Excellent day trip

Stirling Castle has much history to enjoy and includes compelling exhibits. This is a lovely day trip from Edinburgh to experience the beautiful countryside, see lovely Loch Lomond, the Conic Hill separating the Lowlands and the Highlands, and learn the story of the Kelpies.

Scotland loves its history

It just seems like Scotland has a different style tour than I have been on before. There is a lot of history there and they focus on it to the degree that you feel like you are in a high school history course of some sort where no one is listening and no one cares that no one is listening lol. On our particular journey while the guide was certainly nice. He faced forward the entire time and just gave a spiel did not really engage us whatsoever. The only way I know how to describe it is like being on a trail horse of sorts. They know the route they know what they have to do to get back and that’s kind of how this felt. The locations that we went to, however, were wonderful and definitely worth seeing. I just would not get too caught up in the tour guide aspect of it.

Great guide/great tour

Gregor was an outstanding tour guide. He knew each of the sites we visited and provided considerable historical and cultural background. Beyond this knowledge he has an energy, humor, enthusiasm for his job that few guides can match. He loves Scotland and wants you to also.

Definitely worth the tour.

Trevor, our tour guide made the trip worthwhile in itself. He was really personable and funny!!. Loch Lomond was beautiful, Stirling Castle is worth a visit and the Keplies are just a quick stop. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Enjoyable tour with a great tour guide!

Our tour guide Gregor was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Scottish history and I enjoyed listening to him. He also played very good Scottish music on the bus between points which I enjoyed. It was a beautiful day and each stop was a delight. I highly recommend this tour which was the best of three I took this week.

Super interesting tour

The Castle was stunning and very interesting to explore. Loved driving past the highlands and learning so much about Scottish history. Gregor was an amazing guide and kept everyone’s attention. He was passionate about the history and super helpful to ensure we had a great time and saw the best viewpoints

Really nice day trip.

We enjoyed our visit, particularly the Kelpies. Our guide, Lindsey ("Lyn") was very informative. We came away with a better understanding of Scottish history.

Our tour was so very interesting and beautiful. Our guide, Stuart, was amazing! We learned so much about Scotland: History, culture, climate, geography, music, city rivalries, and more. Stuart conveyed all of this with humor and a wonderful speaking voice. The route included beautiful scenery, ample opportunities to use the loo, take photos, and stretch our legs. A great day in Scotland!

Fun with Trevor

We had a great tour with Trevor. He was both knowledgeable and funny. He changed the order of the tour which helped beat the crowds at Loch Ness. We really enjoyed seeing the countryside and would recommend this tour. Thanks from Canada

David was very knowledgeable guide and had lots of historical insight. Stirling Castle was great. Definitely take the guided tour.

Great way to see more of Scotland without renting a car.

Views were great, very fortunate to have beautiful weather when we went, Gregor was a great guide, plenty of stops on the bus to stretch legs, use the bathroom and take pictures.

Solid tour

Our tour guide JP was excellent. He provided good information, pointed out areas of interest, and entertained us with outstanding “dad” jokes. I’d give him five stars. The overall 4 stars are due to the following: a) while the kelpies are amazing, they are located next to a busy freeway and powerlines, which dimished their appeal, b) I would have combined the lunch stop with the stop at Loch Lomond, giving us more time to enjoy the Loch.

TLDR - just book it and do it with Mac

TLDR: I doubt after their glowing reviews you’re on the fence - but if you are - just do it. There are not even words to describe the professionalism, educational, and love of land that this company has - and I have to give utmost props to our tour guide Mac. My family of 4 went from Edinbrough to the Kelpies, Stirling Castle and Loch Lomand. Mac’s stories - enticing, engaging and easy to follow. Their customer service - I am pregnant and had to take an emergency stop on the trip. This teams knows the country like the back of their hand, and Mac’s trainee, Dave, even spared me the coins to get into the public restroom. I have never felt so cared for. Astounded. Their love of land - Mac picked up trash at every stop. We asked - he doesn’t have to. He chooses to, and encouraged every other guide to do the same to keep Scotland beautiful. Lastly, Mac even did extra stops due to saved time, and played us the bagpipes while looking over the highlands. Highlight of our trip, and our family has been talking about Mac ever since. If we are ever back in Scotland, we will use them for every trip.

A wonderful tour!

Mac was an amazing tour guide; knowledgeable, entertaining and fun. Mac was so considerate of all needs of each tour member, particularly a pregnant member of our party. Without fanfare, Mac picked up trash at each stop we made, which is just one example of his love for Scotland. His entire presentation reflected that love of his country, its culture and history. He made a lasting impression on our family. Mac added in a few stops that we weren’t expecting, but truly enjoyed. A wonderful tour! Thank you, Mac!

Great tour

Mack was a terrific guide. Told some great history and kept us entertained. Stirling Castle was splendid. And Loch Lomond was so beautiful.

wonderful tour with extra

We absolutely enjoyed this tour. Our guide Nile and our driver Ken were fantastic. Nile is a very good comedian and he told us lots of interesting tales with great local knowledge. They took us to two more extra spots were not listed in the tour.
