The 12 hours day trip from Dublin to Giants Causeway was so amazing -- I have been bragging about it for the past two days in my social media :-). James our driver and guide was fantastic. Wonderful Ireland Adventure with Expert Guide

This is my second tour with James and I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. James has a knowledge and love of Irish history that makes each place you visit and the places along the way come alive. His expertise in heading tours around Ireland make it so easy to see the sights and adjust the schedule when the weather throws a wrench in things. The giants causeway is a must see magical place along with bushmills, the dark hedges and other game of thrones sites along the way. You will enjoy Ireland so much more with James as your guide. Worth it.

Drago took great care of us on this long excursion. He picked us up at our hotel and provided interesting commentary about everything we saw. A beautiful sunny day allowed for great photos of Dark Hedges and Giant’s Causeway. Since we aren’t fond of large bus tours, and didn’t want to do an all day drive from Dublin, this small van was perfect for our group of 4.

Our driver, Drago, was great and very informative. The van was very comfortable for 5 passengers. We went to the Titanic museum in Belfast, Dunluce Castle (runes) and the Giants Causeway.

William took us many places . Giants causeway, Dunluce castle Carrick -a rede bridge the dark hedges .

William Schindler was out private guide for the day . He was so knowledgeable and speaks many languages.

Breathed the air of our ancestors!

Our driver was Drago! Our first trip to Ireland to breath the air of our ancestors (as Drago suggested) and actually it truly seemed like it was the case. What a day logging 13 miles in steps and not sure how many driven miles. We packed in so much from the Dark Hedges to Giants Causeway to Castle ruins to coastal drive to Belfast Castle to political murals and back to Dublin hotel. Full day with great history conversation. Drago took care of everything including a recommendation at a cabaret with a VIP reservation learning a song title ‘Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears’ that I had never known about. Thanks Drago for memorable times.

Highly recommended trip

Driver Turfeeq was so knowledgeable and professional . The long way from Dublin he kept us busy with history and stories. Trip was one of our most memorable from all Europe. Just breathtaking, as seen in movies and wish you can one day go.

An unforgettable day

My son and I had the absolute pleasure of exploring Northern Ireland with our kind and delightful guide, James. It was a lovely day, from start to finish. James was thoughtful in planning every aspect of the experience -- including all of the must-see places and those of particular interest to us. We appreciated him sharing his knowledge of/insight into the culture/traditions, food, music, history, and current events of this beautiful country and its people. The tour and James were 10/10!

This tour is a must!

If you’re debating about whether or not it is worth the money, it definitely is. James is incredibly prompt and polite and provided us a very comprehensive tour that was unforgettable for our first day in Ireland. The experience you get with a private tour vs a group tour on a bus is not even comparable (we did a cheaper group tour the next day on a bus). The trip was not only customized, but comfortable. He also was very knowledgeable about the area and provided us cool information we otherwise wouldn’t have known. This tour is definitely highly recommended!

Missing James

Had a wonderful time to the North of Ireland, James made it extra special. Highly recommend Liberty Irish Tours/James. We missed him the next day.

Save your money

This was supposed to be a 12 hour tour , they shorted us 5 hours! This was over 1200 dollars definitely not worth the money. The luxury sedan was a Mercedes’ large van, no drinks or anything special offered for this amount of money. Would have been way less expensive to just have taken an Uber or Taxi to causeway. Driver only this is not a narrative tour. Definitely felt wasted money and dissatisfied.

Very Informative

We did a one day trip from Dublin to Northern Ireland. It was a long day, but saw amazing scenery along the north coast! James was our driver and he told us a lot about the Irish/British, Catholic/Protestant conflict that we didn’t know. Being a private tour, we could stop when we needed/wanted to (within reason, of course!). Private tours rock!

Skip the Large Bus Tours

This trip was a welcomed relief from the big tourist bus scene where you are packed on a large bus and have to be looking at your watch at each stop to get back on time OR otherwise it leaves without you . If this is a truly a vacation it needs to be relaxing plus energizing and that is exactly what James provided today with my group of six. He was on time at our hotel, very accommodating to our bathroom stops plus provided the best schedule from Dublin along the beautiful northern coast. His choice of stops were outstanding and such a pleasure not to be rushed . He connected with my friends and shared his vast knowledge of history, politics, and Irish music. We loved the stories about U2. My friends agree that this was the best day of our trip and so happy we scheduled our adventure with James. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone because this is what a vacation is meant to be!!

Great Custom Tour!

James took us from Dublin up to the North to visit Giants Causeway. Very comfortable ride for the five of us. He made sure we were comfortable and happy. We were able to customize our day to fit our needs. James was very knowledgeable and shared his stories with us! Would do it again!!

Wonderful day trip / lovely and insightful driver/guide

A bit of a splurge, but it was my birthday and I wasn’t yet ready to brave a bus tour! :) Liam was a lovely guide - we surprised him at times with what we wanted to do and what we didn’t, but he rolled with us. We spent a good amount of time in Belfast looking at murals and discussing The Troubles. Murals were gorgeous; his perspectives on the history very insightful. Giants Causeway was amazing for anyone who likes nature and a good hike! We even hit a few Game of Thrones sites along the way, which thrilled my husband (and drove past the Belfast set!). Liam knew his way around N. Ireland without a map or GPS!! “Hmm, I’ll just turn here, should be right ahead” - and it was! The best kind of splurge.

Giants Causeway!

We had a great experience! James was a great tour guide. He took us to interesting and beautiful sites. He researched activities our (teenage) kids would be interested in, such as stopping by the Christmas market in Belfast. The giants causeway was amazing. James provided us with detailed narratives of the irish folklore and more recent historical events pertaining to Northern Ireland and the giants causeway. I highly recommend!

Bespoke two-day tour of Ireland

My family had the privilege of touring Ireland for two days with James of Liberty Irish Tours. We designed an itinerary specifically to fit our small window of time and interests at opposite ends of the island. James was incredible. His knowledge of Irish geography and history was staggering. His sedan was very comfortable and he was a smooth and excellent driver (I did not even get motion sick as I usually do). James was also very helpful and flexible with last minute changes we needed to make to our itinerary. We feel so lucky to have found his company and to have had the chance to get to know Ireland through the eyes of such an outstanding local. I cannot recommend his company highly enough. James even offered his contact info to our son who is studying abroad in case of any type of emergency.

Best of the best

Fantastic tour! Excellent guide, beautiful scenery, what else can you ask for? The company was so helpful and accommodating. We were staying out in the country and the driver spent the night with family nearby just so we could get an early start. Val was amazing! So knowledgeable, personable, professional, funny and kind. Having been on many of these tours all over the world, I have to say this was the best we have ever been on. We have another tour booked with Liberty Irish Tours later this week and we cannot wait! Do yourself a favor and book with them soon and often!

Amazing Tour to the Giants Causeway and Northern Ireland with James

This was by far the best tour we went on during our trip. All the places we visited are so beautiful and breathtaking. We were able to take our time at every location. We didn't feel rushed at all. James was the best guide. He is so knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history of Ireland and Northern Ireland. James is such cool guy and we are blessed we got to meet him. He recommended some great places. We are dying to go back. We will definitely be in touch for a future tour. We also did the Black taxi tour which is so interesting and informative. We recommend that as well, it is heartbreaking but very eyeopening. We are very glad to have had the opportunity to attend the Black taxi tour as well.
