Sharjah City Tour from Dubai

Consistency needed

Unfortunately the weather was atrocious, so activities listed as included weren’t open. A substitute was found but the conditions were very difficult, verging on dangerous, and in my opinion, should have been proactively cancelled by the operator instead of waiting to see if customers would cancel themselves (thereby losing their money paid). If schools and museum venues were cancelled for the day, surely the tour operator also has a duty of care to its staff and customers to avoid any risk. The onboard refrigerator was stocked with bottled water but that wasn’t offered to passengers as it had been on a previous tour. And finally, not for the first time, my preferred meeting point was listed as an option but I was later told it was outside the pick-up zone and so I incurred a taxi fee to travel to another location. The driver and guide were helpful in difficult conditions but that isn’t enough for me to recommend this operator.

Mehboob is the Best and Honest Tour Guide

Sharajah is a beautiful city. The tour has been on point with many stops with enough time to enjoy each location. But most importantly it has been safe. I left my wallet on the tour bus on a morning tour and it was returned to me by Mehboob the tour guide the evening with all my belongings; credit cards, ID, and $160 in American money. The attention to detail and follow through is amazing and greatly appreciated.

Great experience

Sharja tour

Very interesting tour and polite personel. In particular Rizwan who stopped the bus when we had problems needing the toilet.

Nice excursion

The tour was wonderful. We enjoyed our time on this trip. Most of the tour was in the Museum of Islamic Civilization and the local market. Thank you. We will repeat this tour again.

Going back to real values

The trip to Sharjah brought back wonderful memories from days gone by. It gives you an insight of the real values, traditions and hospitality of this country. The Islamic history Museum is not just well presented, but also educational. The souks were charming and selling a wide variety of goods. The audio system was clear and information were accurate and informative. Thank you to our driver Ubaid who made this trip special and memorable.

Good Tour

Good history. Different from dubai which was interesting. Flip side of Dubai. Souks were disappointing. Glad we went.

Was not guided

Advertised as guided, but on our experience it was an informative recorded audio tour of the city (not guided) At each location the guide advised meeting time and was there to answer questions as required.

Not happy

The communication from pick up point was very poor. We were given the silent treatment. We had to finally ask the guide what was happening then he abruptly spoke to us. Not professional at all

Great short duration tour

The whole tour was great but mostly the museum of islamic civilisation and the local souk. Our guide Samuel was great and really patient.

Having Rizwan as a guide he took us every ware he is a very informative and polite man gray line should be proud of him hope to come back soon I will ask for Rizwan again

Don't do it!

What a waste time to go to different Emirate! Not much to see in Sharjah. Tour guide is very nice and informative. But the tour itself, I don't like it. Don't waste time here. I would have done other things in Dubai instead.

Amazing…

Rizman had a wealth of knowledge! He was very kind and patient with all our questions. We enjoyed the city tour with him very much and hope to have him as our guide again! Great experience!!

Brief tour but exhilarating.

Very good experience. The weather was harsh but we were able to enjoy the best we could. The driver was helpful and kind.

Trip to Sharjah

More focus was given on time going to the souks rather than driving around seeing more of Sharjah. I would have preferred not spending time at the shopping malls.

Short Enjoyable excursion that could have been better

It was a great experience in the 4 hours of time. I must say, out of the 5 excursions I enjoyed during my trip, this one had the least interaction from the trip sponsored. I had to reach out over 3 times to confirm and ensure pickup. We drove one hour out of the way to drop people off during the 4 hour trip, so that was indeed frustrating, especially since we were rushed to end our trip. Had we been able to enjoy all of the 4 hours, I would have given 5 stars - more time at the shopping center would have been appreciated. The guide got a little irritated but took no accountability for being late or using one hour of our time to drop other passengers off.

Horrid

We sat on a bus for an hour then had to switch to a van. The driver did not engage nor give us his name. He was on his phone for the entire tour.when we got to the souq, the shops were closed.

Don't Waste Your Time With a Broken Van with No AC

Where to start with how horrible this experience was? The only reason it's not 1 star is because they did eventually show up. The driver was over an hour late to pick us up. The minibus was dilapidated with no air conditioning. We were all sweating and suffering in the minibus. The driver spoke on his cell phone loudly the entire drive. We had a few minutes at each stop, except for the museum where we had a bit more time. The driver at the end greeted everyone for a tip and was disappointed when we all ran away as fast as we could just to get away from the broken down minibus. I would recommend to stay as far away from this tour as you possibly can.

Ask for Rizwan as your driver

My driver, Rizwan, was excellent! He was very helpful and flexible about the time spent at each site. Very nice guy! Loved the museum and learned a lot! I would recommend more than an hour at this site if you can spare the time.

Not great

Sharjah has not a lot. It really is the poor man Dubai. Only 25 mins drive. The price wasn’t expensive so not too disappointed. All low level buildings And main places on this Tour we new builds but in old style.

Laid back and relaxing Sharjah

The half-day tour to Sharjah was excellent. It was, indeed, worth venturing into a different emirate entirely as Sharjah is one of seven distinct emirates that form the UAE. We were picked up from our hotel in downtown Dubai on time. The coach was very comfortable. We were provided with earphones for the fully immersive audio history of buildings and landmarks passed along the route to Sharjah. A sweet date bar and a bottle of water was also offered at the beginning of the drive. Our driver, Mahir, took us to every spot advertised in the city excursion. We were given ample time - 30 minutes to an hour - to visit most of the city landmarks including King Faisal Mosque, Heritage Museum (which is a must see and offers an outstanding display of the history of Islam), Fort of Sharjah, Al Arsa Souk, and the Blue Souk! At the visually stunning Blue Souk we shopped for and purchased gold at a substantial discount (a bargain and below spot price for 1 oz). We even had spare time to sit at one of the souk’s cafes and enjoy a delicious cup of savory Karak tea. Sharjah is a bit of a change from Dubai city excursions and offers a more laid back, conservative ambiance in sharp contrast to the bustling and polished downtown Dubai and Jumeirah areas. Nevertheless, the Sharjah half-day trip is highly recommended for any traveler to experience another emirate.

Sharjah is boring

This tour is well organized,the driver was late and the tour guide didn't give us any introduction about anything.it is like a bus trip where u just use the bus as a traffic tool.Sharjah itself is boring,can't blame the tour. Overall,it is a good tour if u like looking around.

Shargah City Tour from Dubai

the tour guide explained a little bet of shargah .We visited the museum. and the gold souk. THe trip is very informative however we were not able to enter the temple.

Love the tour

It was exciting going to a new place to visit. The tour was great, an introduction to the area. I like the shops, the mosque and the older city.

Sharjah City Tour from Dubai, September 2019

I really wanted to give this tour more stars/higher rating but there were many things lacking on this tour. I was so impressed with Sharjah that I wanted to see more and this tour didn't offer that opportunity. Although our tour guide was knowledgeable about politics, local customs, etc I felt he was lacking in facts/knowledge and was more religion focused. He certainly didn't blow me away like some other tour guides from other tours I have been on in Dubai. He took us to places most of us were simply not very keen on or interested in (like the blue souk - which were just gold shops (TOTAL WASTE OF TIME, most of the group ended up sitting by the entrance waiting to board the van again instead of exploring), and he spent way too much time at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization). I wish we had more time at the 1st souk stop "Al Bait/ Souq Al Masqoof" and I really wish he had taken us on a staggered time slot when 5 other tourist groups weren't crowded into a narrow place all simultaneously. I recommend the following: more photo opportunities near the fishing boats or other Sharjah points of interest instead of just outside a mosque parking lot, a stop at local hot spot to grab a nice snack or cool drink, showing more historical areas of Sharjah that are relevant, staggered time slots when other tour groups most likely won't be there. I also didn't like that the tour guide dropped off 1 couple in our tour group in front of their hotel because the wife kept pestering him that they had a desert safari tour to make that afternoon - they shouldn't have scheduled 2 events in 1 day that were nearly overlapping and ruining the tour for the rest of the group. The remainder of group were given the measly option of being dropped off at either Diera metro station or outside Dubai mall, NOT back at our respective hotels - that was simply NOT FAIR. This tour could have more potential and has huge room for improvement.

Great value Sharjah City tour

I was able to book the day before going on this tour, no trouble and had instant confirmation and subsequent follow up to my email clarification. I was a solo traveller. I was picked up from my hotel. The Sharjah city tour was 4hours. Lots of stops for photos at key sites, time in two souqs for shopping. Went to the Museum of Islamic Civilisation- an excellent museum - spent just over 1hour there (ticket included in tour price). At the Blue Souq, I chose to walk along the corniche for about 15 minutes to have a look at the water and parkland. And there was very good commentary via headsets (multiple languages offered) everytime we were in the bus. Our guide/driver was very friendly and polite - made pick up times very clear. Drop off is at the Dubai Mall (although as my hotel was on the way the driver gave me the option - I chose the Mall). And all for USD26 - great value!!

A very nice tour but i booked a group tour then i was all alone yet i have a very good guide and very nice and organize. GRAYLINE did a very good job

Beyond memorable!!

My mom and I absolutely loved and would highly recommend using Grayline for any tour! Big shout out to our amazing guide, Anas! He was very knowledgeable of the city, resilient & creative when there were a few snafus (ie souks were closed on Fridays - when we were scheduled, so he pivoted for us) and went above and beyond to ensure our tour was maximized to its fullest enjoyment! Five stars to him for sure! THANK YOU!

Bom, poderia ser melhor . Foi anunciado um kit de boas vindas ( não teve) . Não fomos ao forte , como anunciado . O guia queria nos deixar no Dubai Mall, porém havia mais opções de Mall que tivemos que insistir em nos deixar , já que íamos no Dubai frame

Par chance nous étions que deux mais le tour qui devait durer 4h n’a en fait duré que 2h, on nous emmène dans des souks et nous explique ensuite qu’ils sont fermés donc rien à voir. Le seul point positif est la visite du musée et encore nous n’avons eu que 45 min pour 4 galeries alors que nous étions en avance sur le tour. Et pour finir on nous dit que le lieu de dépôt est le mall of dubai alors que dans la description il a plusieurs lieux de dépôt cités et que si on veut être déposé ailleurs on doit payer le prix du taxi. J’aurai du m’abstenir en lisant les autres commentaires.

A éviter absolument

Aucun élément du programme a été respecté, On nous a imposé la visite de 2 souks soit près de 2 heures perdues. Quand on vient de Dubai cela ne présente aucun intérêt de voir des souks. Nous avons visité le musée islamique ( qui n'était pas prévu dans le programme) qui est très intéressant mais nous n'avions qu'une heure pour le parcourir. Je déconseille cette expérience, c'est inadmissible d'annoncer un programme de visites culturelles et d'imposer la visite de souks sans intérêt.

Muito bom

O tour para a cidade de Sharjah realizado pela Gray Line de Dubai é um passeio muito bom, é somente pela parte da manhã e antes das 14 horas eu já estava de volta ao hotel. Pela manhã, o motorista de van, pega os turistas de porta em porta em seus hotéis e no retorno, o final do tour é no Dubai Mall, o motorista até deixa quem quiser ficar no hotel, eu eoutro passageiro pedimos se podíamos ficar emcada um em seu hotel, mas foi preciso pagar para isso. O tour por Sharjah inclui parada pra foto na Mesquita "King Faisal Mosque Sharja", parada no Al Shanasiyah Souq, local simples com lojas, cafés, muito bom; parada e entrada inclusa no museu "Sharjah museum of Islamic Civilization"; e, por último parada e visita ao "Blue Souq Sharjah", após retorno para Dubai. è um passeio bom e rápido e anda o tempo todo de van com um motorista a espera, mas é bom ficar atento ao tempo dado, sempre em torno de 15, 30, 40 minutos para retornar ao veículo no estacionamento. Recomendo, vale a pena.

Todo a las carreras

Nos recogieron en el hotel una hora antes de la salida sin habernos informado. Y llegamos al punto de encuentro o salida como a las 09:00 am y salimos de allá a las 09:50 am. Solamente nos dieron un carro para mi esposa y para mi y salimos al tour muy rápido terminando este a las 12.30

Annulation d'une excursion par l'agence la veille du départ

Cette excursion a été annulée la veille vers 18h suite à des problèmes de maintenance annuelle à Sharjah et attractions touristiques annulées. L'agence a essayé de proposer d'autres excursions jusqu'à tard dans la nuit. Grand professionnalisme de l'agence et réactivité vis à vis du client. Au final remboursement total.

Muséum splendide

J'ai eu une mauvaise aventure car j'ai loupé le RDv pour 10 mn seulement. Retard du à cause d'un test PCR que j'ai du faire avant mon retour en France. Cependant le tour opérateur m'a spécialement commandé un pickup pour faire la visite avec ma femme. Nous n'étions que 2 . C'est pourquoi je mets 5 étoiles

Belle ville.

Une belle visite une ville avec une histoire et monument. La mosquée le musée Islamic le souk la corniche. Par contre le chauffeur au retour il vous déposer au centre commercial burj Al khelifa et non à l’hôtel c’est qui est pas prévu...

Die Stadt bietet leider nicht so viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und leider konnten wir auch das Museum aufgrund eines Feuerwehr Einsatzes nicht besichtigen

Sharjah es una ciudad no tan turistica aun

Nuestro conductor MUKREEN fue excelente. El problema es que este emirato todavia no es tan turistico y las excursiones dejan un poco que desear.
