Hatta Heritage Village Tour from Dubai With Kayaking

This trip is a scam

Everything was closed. The heritage Centre was closed the kayaking was closed (we could have waited 3 hours for the kayaking to reopen but there was nothing g to do) the driver knew it was going to be this way, I tried to salvage the trip by asking for a new tour to Abu Dhabi grand mosque, I was refused, I was told the mosque is closed on Tuesday (this is a lie). Took 2.5 hours to drive there and then 2m5 back taking a whole day of our holiday to do nothing. Such a shame. It would have been good if it had been open, the dam for kayaking looked beautiful and the heritage Centre could be fantastic but it was CLOSED and they knew. The trip needs to be taken down. The driver tried to say en route like 1 hour in that the heritage center previously had maintenance, which was obviously cover for when we got there and nothing was happening. Trip advisor take this down !

Hatta tour

The tour was not what I expected. The trip to Hatta was too long. Our driver spoke very little, he did not explain what is expected of the tour. We drove 2hrs to Hatta, we had one hour of kayaking, and that was it. We stopped at a place that was supposed to be a museum, but all the doors were locked. Then we stopped at another place for which the activity was just to climb up the hill top via ascending stairs. That was it. Then we embarked on another long drive back.

RAH does not fulfill tours

We reserved the tour and got online confirmation with email and online tickets. The next morning we were waiting at designated location in front of Residence Inn Jadaff, on of the locations where they pick tourists up. Our pickup time was at 9:00am. We were waiting there since 8:30am and I sent them a whatsapp to confirm that we would be picked up. No confirmation or message on their behalf. We waited till 9:30, during which time I called them 6 times and left them multiple messages. I received no response, their phone doesn´t work. Needless to say, we have not received the service we paid for. Very upset. I´m waiting full my full refund. Absolutely unacceptable.

Highly Recommended

Great trip for those looking to enjoy some natural scenery and gorgeous mountains. Kayaking was definitely the highlight of the trip, the parks were lovely and peaceful, but sadly the village itself was closed for renovation. Our only problem was that the tour coordinator informed us that he would pick us up an hour earlier than the timing on the agenda and had us sitting in the hotel lobby waiting, only for him to arrive an hour later for pick up. But other than that the trip was smooth sailing, albeit in a car that was a bit worn out. Definitely bring your sunscreen, it's very sunny even in winter

Must go, the view is breathtaking

Timely pickup by Mr Khan and had pleasant chat along the way to Hatta. Got to know more about Dubai and Hatta. Mr Khan gave us ample time to walk around Hatta which was good as some tours can get bit rushed. Pleasant getaway from the skyscrapers after 8days in Dubai.

Tour was canceled with no reason provided

We had limited time in Dubai for holidays and we wanted to see Hatta through RHA Tours. However, they cancelled the trip at 3am and was not provided any reasons at all. I tried calling the number provided but unable to reach.

Didn’t get to go

Didn’t even get to go. The company cancelled at 3 am on the morning me and my friend were meant to go. Very bad service . No reason given either ! I expect the full amount to be refunded !

Pleasant sightseeing tour at Hatta

Our tour guide was Wasim from RAH Tourism, who texted us on the eve of the trip, around midnight. If you’re going on the same tour, suggest no need to contact RAH Tourism or klook and just wait for the text from the guide as there is nothing they can or will do. On the day of the trip, Wasim arrived 10 mins early to pick us up. He gave us a comprehensive overview of what to expect (traveling takes about 1.5 hour per way) and gave us options on what we would like to do. On top of giving us a quick history of UAE which was very much appreciated, he also drove us to grab some nice and affordable breakfast along the way. As we completed the stops early, he also squeezed in a visit to Wadi where my kids happily played for 30-40 mins before leaving Hatta at 12.30pm so that he can drop us back in Dubai by 2pm for his next assignment. Overall, a nice trip to Hatta if you’re looking for some sightseeing and photo taking. Thanks Wasim for the pleasant experience for our family!

Hatta tour with Husnain (Suny) from RAH tours

Timely pickup by a very experienced driver Husnain alias Suny who kept in touch with us a day before the travel to reconfirm the time and site of pickup. Very experienced person with a good sense of humour, kind hearted who gave us exact perfect information about each place and MORE ! Never a dull moment with him. He offered to take our family photos as well. He is very patient and most importantly keeps the group lively and on time ! We wish we had done all the tours with him.

Relax, enjoyable and fun trip to Hatta

The guide is very kind and friendly, hes helpful and make the trip enjoyable. We visit a tower, masfout museum and hatta dam which is amazing. Sadly the heritage village is closed temporarily and the time is too short. But we enjoy the trip very much. The car also very comfortable and clean

Dissappointed

Guide was 20 minutes late to pick us up, but apart from that he was friendly and very good overall, making lots of conversation and sharing interesting info with us. Hatta heritage village was under construction at the time (November) so we didn't get to visit (despite it still being listed as included on the package and there being no reduction in price) When we got to the dam we were told by our guide that kayaking wasn't included on our package and we would have to pay ourselves. After showing him the TripAdvisor confirmation which clearly stated kayaking was included, he placed some calls to the company and eventually agreed to cover the cost of the kayaking. We were only given an hour to kayak. After this we went to a nearby hilltop viewpoint which was nice but we only got 30 minutes there before being told we had to leave. Hatta dam itself was beautiful and definitely the highlight of our trip, but this package is not worth the cost. For roughly the same price we could have booked a Hala taxi to Hatta and paid for kayaking with the Hatta kayak company ourselves - and for just 90 dirhams per person, Hatta kayak allows you unlimited time, not just an hour! So in summary we recommend making a trip to Hatta dam but not with this company.

Had a beautiful experience travelling to Hatta village with Our tour guide - Shams who had great experiences and stories to share with us. Travelling to Hatta was beautiful and serene. It is a hideout from Dubai city to Nature’s wonder. Tour guide (Shams) was superb and I highly recommend him for any journey

Hatta trip with kayaking

Guide (Alyas) is very accommodating and helpful. Kayaking is the most fun portion of the trip, with Hatta dam having a nice and beautiful scenary. Really hot so bring a hat sunblock and water resistant pouch. Be prepared for a bit of walking!

Hatta is a must visit place

Great experience, must visit!

The trip was amazing, the driver picked us up at 8 am from the hotel and drove directly to the village. Unfortunately, we chose the wrong season for the trip because the dam was closed as well as most of the shops within Hatte Heritage Village area, hence if you are to visit it book it on a winter month; less heat and more stuff to see. We went for 30 mins horse riding and got to see most of the towers in the Hatta Heritage Village and also the hill park which is full of grass, trees and you can hear the birds singing, making your excursion more enjoyable. History lovers will appreciate the village as it combines elements of traditional arabic architecture and living with more modern arabic history, as one can see within the weaponry in the Hatta Heritage Village area which includes exhibitionary swords, daggers and muskets from the 18th, 19th and 20th century. Abdul was very kind and we talked a lot on our way to the village; basically we did not get bored at all. We are now 4 days in Dubai, got to see most of it, but we both agreed that this excursion was the best experience so far

Good experience to visit Hatta !

Good experience to visit Hatta, even during summer ! It’s nice to see mountains, far from the pollution of downtown Dubai !

TL;DR: The lake is amazing but choose another tourism company

The lake was just amazing and we totally enjoyed kayaking but there were quite a few "but's": 1. We booked the trip via their website, got a confirmation which stated 9am as pick-up time and planned the rest of our day accordingly. Thanks God we decided to call them the day before - and only then they bothered to notify us that pickup time will be at 2pm. Just wow. 2. The "guide" wasn't the most careful driver and generally was no use. 3. In general, we would recommend to just fully skip the village and garden visits (especially the latter) and go straight to the lake. Better save some time for more kayaking really and just stop somewhere to enjoy the view and take photos.

Dubai from another side, breathtaking

if you want to take a break from a lot of skyscrapers and look at Dubai from the other side - you should go there. The views that take your breath away, you just go and enjoy the whole way, the photos there are incredible. AMAZING HATTA DAY TRIP EXPERIENCE!!!

Our experience was absolutely amazing! Abdul was really fantastic! We enjoyed the entire day and couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Abdul was the best and Hatta was beautiful, the entire experience was better than we could have hoped for thank you! Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a nice day trip to Hatta! They were on time and very accommodating. You won’t regret booking with them :)

Fast perfekte Tour

Leider konnte die Hauptattraktion wegen der wir die Tour gebucht hatten nicht besichtigt werden. Das Hatta Heritage Village war geschlossen. Es gab auch keine weitere Erklärung dazu. Der Ablauf des Ausfluges war gut organisiert. Der Guide hat sich schon am Vorabend per WhatsApp gemeldet. Da mein Handy aber meistens abgeschaltet war(Datenroaming sehr teuer), habe ich diese Nachricht verpasst. Der Guide hat sich morgen dann telefonisch gemeldet. Hat alles prima geklappt. Bis, na ja siehe oben.

Prestation annulée au dernier moment

La prestation a été annulée par le voyagiste à 7h du matin pour un début prévu à 9h. Puis plus de nouvelles malgré nos tentatives pour reprogrammer un autre jour. Pour le moment nous ne sommes même pas sûr d'être remboursé !

Good experience with Abdul

Нам очень понравилось. Абдул хороший водитель и гид, было интересно с ним общаться. Жаль, что в этот день (пятница) было все закрыто. Мы катались на лошадях, были на дамбе, фотографировались и гуляли.

Highlight (See) musste ausfallen

Statt wie angegeben, wurden wir um 8:00 statt 9:00 Uhr abgeholt. Dafür in unserem Hotel, was bei der Buchung nicht gelistet wurde. Hier also gern nachfragen. Der Guide hat sich am Vortag erst gegen 21:00 Uhr gemeldet. Ich habe vorher einmal angerufen. Das Auto war komfortabel und wir hatten die Tour sogar für uns - es kamen keine anderen Touristen dazu, was in der aktuellen Coronasituation natürlich sehr angenehm war. Der Guide war freundlich, sprach aber nicht so gut englisch, sodass einige Fragen nicht genau beantwortet werden konnten. Von sich aus hat er sehr wenig gesprochen. Die Heritage Village kann man sich definitiv sparen. Hier war nichts los, die Shops geschlossen und insgesamt war es eher langweilig. Zu unserer großen Enttäuschung war der Hatta See geschlossen. Das sahen wir als Highlight, aber es war kaum Wasser vorhanden und der See war nicht zugänglich. Unser Guide schien das auch vorher nicht gewusst zu haben und hat versucht uns den Stausee trotzdem zu zeigen. Dies ging nur bedingt. Daraufhin hat er uns spontan mit dem Jeep durch die Berge geführt. Wir konnten noch einige freilebende Tiere (Esel) sehen. Die Quadfahrt war spaßig, allerdings fand sie in einem abgetrennten und begrenzten Wüstenbereich statt. Der Weg nach Hatta hat länger gedauert, als die Zeit an den Sehenswürdigkeiten selbst. Insgesamt ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis eher schlecht. Der Tag war nicht verschwendet, aber im Nachhinein hätten wir ihn gern anders genutzt.

Une journée très agréable !

Afin de sortir un peu de la foule de dubai nous sommes avons choisi une excursion à Hatta. Nous étions solo avec notre guide Abdul, il nous a ainsi tout expliqué ( sur dubai, sur Hatta , ect) nous avons pris pleins de choses sur la route ( thanks Abdul!) Arrivée à Hatta , ballade en kayak au milieu des montagnes arides, ct magnifique. Ensuite on a fait un tour de cheval dans le village avant de visiter le village traditionnel de Hatta ( ville de la fin du 19 eme siècle qui a été restaurer en 1995). C’était une journée très agréable et riche. Nous recommandons cette excursion.
