Full-Day Mussandam Cruise with Lunch Dibba

Nice experience but could make more of the time

Everything was well organized (entry permit, pick up points, etc) but there was a lot of waiting involved. We were picked up at our hotel at 6:20am, got back at 7:20pm and the actual boat trip was from 12:00 to 4:00 We had about 1,5 hours to swim and only stopped at one spot to get off the boat. The other stop was for fishing which was annoying for half of the guests. We had great company and enjoyed the views but would have liked more cruising or swimming and less waiting. Vegans: better bring your own food.

Beautiful boat trip

Timely pick up from our hotel. We were drove out of Dubai and then we change our vehicle to a bus. After about 2h on the road we crossed the border with Oman (all went very swiftly as company arranged all the documents on our behalf). We took a boat and sailed out. Beautiful views, very relaxing atmosphere. Staff were attentive and providing us with drinks. Once we anchored the boat, they took us out further on a speed boat. Views were amazing. We stopped to get the banana ride ready. I had a strange gut feeling and didn’t want to go first. Told my hubby we will wait for the second round. The ride was fast and seemed fun and then the boat guy dropped them off the banana ride. All part of the plan right? Except that one lady hit the other one with her head and she had a split lip (really badly). There was blood everywhere. The injured lady seemed to loose consciousness and had to be helped back on the motorboat. We helped her and her family to stop the bleeding with towels and we were telling the guy to take her to hospital asap. We went back to the big boat and the guy brought over 1st aid kit.. now I’m not being funny but you can’t use bandaid on a wound like that!! They eventually took the lady and her family back to the port on a speedboat. Rest of us just tried to enjoy ourselves. We did snorkelling, kayaking and sunbathing. Despite the accident we had a really good time. They have provided hot lunch and it was delicious (good choice of veg and non-veg dishes). We got back to the port late afternoon. The Italian family we’re back on the bus and the injured lady was there! 40 stitches on her lip but safe and with her family. We were so happy to see her. We drove back to Dubai and we were back at our hotel after about 3h. Despite the accident, it was a wonderful trip. I took one star away as staff were clearly not trained in first aid. Accidents happen but how you react to them really matter.

Lovely relaxing day on the boat. Well looked after. Nice food and friendly staff. Would recommend. We saw some dolphins which made our day,

Great fun & food worth the travel & price

Read mixed reviews wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was worth every penny! Travel time each side is approx 1.5-2hrs. We sailed out for 35mins and then stopped to swim & snorkel, the snorkelling was amazing lots of different fish to see. Then we had banana boat rides and ate lunch which was really tasty! Salads, chicken tikka peices, baked fish, rice, roti etc we were offered plenty of cold drinks and tea & coffee throughout the day. The tour staff and the boat staff were very friendly and made the trip. We had one difficult passenger on board who kept moaning about certain things but they handled her really well! I’d suggest getting off the coach as quick as you can so you can get a sun lounger on the upper deck!

You have to do it while in Dubai such a great day

Great relaxing time on the boat, great time with swimming at sea, it is true there is a three hour drive but you are in a comfortable airconditionned bus and you can enjoy the landscape.

Not recommended

The tour has four downside 1. The tour take about 3 hours including pick up and drive to the destination. And Its pick up and drop off service is not organized well. It does first pick up and last drop off. So if you are scheduled to be picked up first. You will spend 1-2 hours more than other guests in the van 2. Its activity is not well organized. It has speed boat, banana boat and beach for the activities. The tour guide said he will call when the activity is ready to go but he didn’t do this which made me missing the banana boat activity 3. There are a lot of flies around the food it provided. Not sure the food is clean or not 4. The driver turned on a bright blue light in the van when the sky went dark when we returned. This made me extremely uncomfortable. Besides all the things above, the tour is very boring. Long travel long time in the van and the view is the same everywhere

From Down Under

So pleased to have selected this activity to do. Could not have been a better day. From start to finish I could not fault the friendly, efficient, well organised effort that the Mussandam team put in to look after us. The trip to the cruise, the cruise, activities and lunch were all exceptional Our driver Shelfi displayed total professionalism with his driving and directions at the border, his instructions and help got us through without any hitch. I would recommend this trip to everyone, Couples, families, teens, friends, business and solo. From the very young to the more mature. I cant say enough about this enjoyable experience. I I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Amazing trip for a group or family

If you are in any of the emirates and looking for a day trip, this one should be one of the first few. Inexpensive, well organized and can be arranged easily. We booked it using a travel agent, but local contacts are plenty. However, don't travel unplanned as it takes paperwork to cross the UAE borders as the Dibba corner falls under Oman. No implications for single / multiple entry tourist visas.

A very well organised, full-on day!

A very well organised cruise, starting from the moment we were picked up to when we finally got back to the hotel. The guys on the boat couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. So why not 5-stars? Well I have to say that the scenery of Oman is basically cliffs and rocks and little else. A great experience overall though. Would I recommend it to others? Yes. Would I do it again? No.

You’ll know I like a boat ride on my Birthday.... So I may be biased but...... 1) It’s a long day with a long coach ride from Dubai that’s the only downside. 2) The ride itself let us see some things that we wouldn’t have seen if we’d stayed in the city. 3) The border crossing into Oman was a bit protracted but..... we visited another country!! 4) The dhow was great - lovely scenery - good crew - lots to do. 5 activities when we stopped: swimming, snorkelling, trip to beach, speedboat ride & banana boat ride then a good lunch and a stop for fishing with hand lines before returning to port, and a coach ride home Great trip - recommend.

<p>There was a tour guide but he did no explaining where we were going or history or anything, they did not take us to any fishing villages, we only stayed in one place where we did snorkel and eat but that was it, no fishing no explanation of the history, the boat was original but they dont tell you that you have to jump from boat to boat to get on board the boat very difficult if you have problems with knees, no one to help you at all, I enquired about the rough seas that I would get sick the guide said it would be okay, the 2m swell made several people sea sick but tablets were not offered until people got sick at least 3 people on the ship. Boat was in poor condition there was very unsafe I will never recommend this tour to anyone. For the money I paid for the tour it was very disappointing and not worth it at all sorry I went.</p>

A long day..... but 100% worth it 😁

We started our day with a 7am pick up (we were staying on the palm) we were collected by Rasnat & Roddy who are both great blokes. We collected at various other hotels and then hit the highway and headed to Oman. It is a long journey, but we saw the plus side, we got to see all of the sights of Dubai whilst collecting, and the scenery on the drive to Oman is beautiful. We arrived at the boat at around 10:30 and from that moment on it was total relaxation & fun. The crew were great, very attentive, bringing round drinks, fruit, cookies for snacks. There was an unlimited flow of drinks and snacks if you wanted them. The sea/beach are Stunning. We snorkelled, banana boated, jumped from the boat, there was a small speed boat in the water at all times to ferry you to/from the beach and the sea caves. Lunch was served (it was yummy) and there was about another hour for swimming before setting off round to white cliff which is again, stunning. After this there was a stop for fishing before the eventual cruise back to port. We made a couple of toilet stops on the way back. I was actually so relaxed, I slept most of the journey home. We arrived back at our hotel by about 9:30 but that was largely due to Dubai traffic which is something you learn to live with in Dubai. Overall a fantastic day. Worth the few hours of collection/travelling. Thank you to the drivers and the crew from Sky musandam tourism for such a great day. Highly recommended

Dissapointing experience

The boat trip itself wasn't bad but far from being as good as what it seemed on the description. The organization was bad. We didnt hear from them so we had to call the night before to ask about pick up time. They picked us up at 7.15 am and we didnt get to the boat untill 12:30 (5hours of picking up other passengers and then driving to Oman). The welcome food were some cheap juices and some fruit and cookies. By the time we got our spot on the boat all food was gone. There were a lot of russians on our group, and turned out our guide was russian too. So we never knew what was going on or understood any information he gave about the landscape. Despite this we did enjoy time there, swimming and chilling on the boat. Lunch was pretty average. 5:30 we started to drive back to the hotel, we got there at 9:15 (almost 4h drive again). So the full day cruise by boat was actually like 9h drive and 5 on a boat. We will remember this as an adventure, but for sure not something we recommed or would do again. Looking at the description and what we thought we were getting we felt SCAMMED.

Facinating

We booked this tour without knowing much about it but it turned out to be amazing. From crossing the land border between UAE and Oman, to seeing the caves, coves and landscape of beautiful Oman, swimming in to sandy beaches, diving off the Dhow and driving through 6 of the Emirates we saw a lot. Crew were friendly, pick up and drop off excellent and there was plenty of good food at lunch. Crew went out of their way to may your experience good. We went with Mussandam Day Tours via Viator and there were very good value. You can pay lots of different prices for the same tour so shop around!

A highlight of our time in Dubai. Taking us out of the city to a fun relaxing experience.

Travelling 2.5 hours out of Dubai into the Omani mountains. 2 hour boat ride along the coast of the Persian Gulf to a secluded bay where we could go to the beach, snorkel, swim, go on the speed boat, and/or have fun on the banana boat. A lot of fun and a good relaxing day after the hassle and bustle of Dubai.

<p>We had unforgettable experience with swimming in pristine water ,amazing ,amazing, amazing!!!!! .Also fun activities like snorkeling, fishing and banana ridefree of charge. Buffet lunch was good. Only one neg. aspect is that the way to get there and back almost 5 hrs.</p> <p>I and my friend were really disappointed organization of tours that we booked on Viator. I spend few hoursnot minutes!!! to confirm pickup time for the tours. Absolutely nonsense!!!! Instead of go on the beach or whatever I was calling and calling .What I'm paying money for, Viator? In my opinion, the service supposed be improve . I read some review ,where travelers complained about it, but I did not pay attention. You could email your clients about pickup time in the future.</p>

My friend and I stayed in Dubai for...

<p>My friend and I stayed in Dubai for about a week so we knew we wanted to take one day fully out of Dubai and go see a different side of the UAE. We were not disappointed! We had the concierge confirm the pick up time for us, which was early, but we had a quite a distance to travel that day. Pick up was on time and we drove for about 2.5 hours picking up 2 other groups of people. Crossing the Oman border was interesting since 2 of the travelers brought beer, which is a NO NO. I feel like that should probably have been told at booking, but no big deal. When you pull up to the marina where all the dhow boats are, its a little off putting and scary looking. We didn't know what to expect. . .the minute we got on the boat we were amazed with the service!! The crew was fantastic!! You were immediately told to sit anywhere, offered cold drinks of water and orange soda which was refreshing after the drive, offered fruit and then hot tea and coffee. The boat ride was enjoyable and went on for about 30 minutes before we stopped to snorkel. swim, go to the beach and banana boat rides for about 2 hours. Again, great fun and the staff wanted to make sure you were having a wonderful time, kept asking if you needed anything and offered to take some pics for us. Lunch had a bunch of delicious hot options to choose from and plenty of food. This was one of the highlights of our trips for sure!! It is a full day though, so be prepared. We made sure to have a few snacks and drinks in our bag just in case.</p>

The ride to the boat was a little...

<p>The ride to the boat was a little long, but well worth it! We had a great driver, boat captain and crew. The food was plentiful and delicious, with plenty of fruits, snacks, water, and soft drinks. What a beautiful experience. Once again Viator did not fail with a reasonably priced full day excursion. We all lazed on colorful pillows under a canopy, enjoying the sea breezes away from the heat and humidity of Dubai. Beautiful landscapes and local fisherman casting their nets. Once we dropped anchor in a beautiful little bay, we scuba dived, swam, banana boat ride, and speed boat tour of the shores. The Captain and his crew were exemplary. They assisted all of us with safety suits, gear, fishing, swam with us, and fed us all until we were stuffed! Our driver was courteous and great with giving us history and landmarks as we drove to and from port. This was one of our high points visiting Dubai. such beautiful waters and I got a great sun tan. Thank you Viator! When we return, this is a trip we plan on repeating.</p>

<p>I absolutely loved this tour, after a full on week doing so much this was awesome. It was relaxing and on the trip home on the boat i fell asleep because it was that relaxing. The staff were great, we met some great people, the food was really good. the only downfall was the 1.5 hours back to Dubai, but thats life lol. Would do it again:</p>

Tromperie sur la marchandise

Jolie excursion, Mais comme Oman est fermé pour cause de pandémie, on ne va pas du tout dans les fjords de Musandam mais simplement au bord de la mer au nord des Émirats côté golfe d’Oman. Plongée en tuba au milieu d’un essaim de poissons multicolores, c’est sympa mais le tour en bateau est tout court et n’a rien à voir avec l’idée originale de découvrir Musandam. Ça fait un très très long trajet en bus juste pour se baigner …

Super Tour

Bei der 12-Stündigen Tour waren leider 6 Stunden Reisezeit im Bus. Der Bootstrip war sehr gut organisiert und kurzweillig. Wir haben die Zeit auf dem Boot voll genossen. Würde jederzeit wieder gehen.

Très beau paysage mais...

Tout d'abord le voyage vaut le détour. Tout nos déplacement étaient à l'heure. Il faut retenir que le temps de Dubai à Dibba il faut compter 3h. Une fois arriver la compagnie maritime nous emmène en mer afin de voir des paysages époustouflants, des montagnes en bord de mer, des plages sauvages c'est wouaou. Mais le déjeuner nous a donné la diarrhée. Mais le pire c'est que ils embauche n'importe quel employé. Il y avait un homme pervers qui a passé son temps à se toucher le sexe en regardant les filles. Malgré mes regards pour que l'homme se calme il a continué. pour ma part cette compagnie n est pas sérieuse. Les filles faites attention. La photo de la personne en pj.
