Great desert excursion with OceanAir and the Al Khayma Camp

This desert excursion exceeded my expectations! Our driver from OceanAir pricked us up at our hotel. Sajith was prompt, spoke English very well, and was knowledgeable, entertaining, and most importanly... an excellent driver. The red dunes were amazing and the dune bashing and sandboarding were so much fun. We did not partake in the ATV portion but enjoyed shopping at the OceanAir base. After the fun on the sand dunes, we arrived at the Al Khayma Camp. We enjoyed the camel riding and feeding. The camp was beautiful and full of activities (stargazing, henna, arabian attire, coffee/tea, shiska, falcon encounters, and dancing). The food was amazing (definitely 5 *) and varied and we did not leave hungry. We met some aweosme peope and we really enjoyed our time at the camp. The ride back to the hotel was great too as Sajith kept us entertained and educated. I would highly recommend this tour group and camp to anyone wanting to have an Arabian experience while in Dubai.

Phenomenal tour!

Such a great time! We were picked up promptly and driven to the Red Dunes where we had a blast driving in the dunes. Afterwards we went to the camp where we rode camels and fed baby camels, then BBQ dinner and dancing and fire shows. The camp was very nice, food was excellent and plentiful. Cold sodas and water awaited us. Our drive back was comfortable and prompt. But our tour guide I’m was above our expectations. His English was superb and he was extremely knowledgeable answering all of our questions. We felt like we were in good hands and taken very well care of during our trip. Highly recommend this tour. We’re all 65+ and it was a blast!

Once in a lifetime experience!!

Everything was amazing , my family came to visit me in Dubai so I definitely booked for them a tour in the Dubai desert and we had a great time. They loved it. I highly recommend you this tour , the bikes are not included but everything else is you can always pay extra if you want a bike ride. I want to thanks Aku for his great personality and his help he made this day even more special!!

Find a cheaper operator for this tour.

I do not recommend this tour. If you don’t buy the Quad bike or ATV option you must sit and wait for the others to finish. I waited almost 2 hours and was harassed by vendors the entire time to buy something. My dune bashing was cut short due to a blown out tire. Again we just sat and waited while this was fixed but I couldn’t even enjoy after because I was concerned for my safety. After that everything was rushed. Our guide Arif was impatient and rude from that point on. I think he was hungry due to his fasting. We had about 4 minutes for the sunset camel ride. The camp site was just okay and the food was average. The henna ladies had an attitude, the hookah was okay and the shows were lame. Save your money.

Our driver, Imaan gave us a thrill on the red dune. He showed us some daring turns but was careful to avoid any injuries. We had fun. The camp was very systematic & well organized. The food was bountiful & delicious. Thank you Viator.

A chic, VIP desert experience. Great value for money!

We loved our desert experience! Ocean Travel were so flexible with our pick up and Shihab was such a great guide who made sure we didn’t miss out on a single element. We felt like we really had a private, VIP experience because we didn’t have to wait around for anyone else and got to do everything for as long or as short as we wished. Really impressed with how chic the camp was and the food was delicious. Incredible value for money. Thank you!

A must do

We had fun doing everything. The dune bashing was great. sand boarding was fun. The pictures with the hawk we even better then I expected. Food was great too.

This was my first trip to Dubai and I picked the premium tour which included the dune dashing, desert safari off road ride, camel ride and more…I must say these are the experiences of the lifetime. Great Day Out: Dubai Desert Safari with Shams

Our trip was amazing, complete with exciting dune bashing and peaceful shisha. Shams, our guide, was fantastic at 4WDing the desert dunes and made sure everyone was comfortable all the while sharing interesting tidbits about the area’s history and culture. The dinner was a highlight, with a delicious 5-star BBQ buffet that included everything from freshly made roti to a variety of sweets and drinks. Recommend the roti fresh off the grill.

Dessert visit April 2024, Solo Traveller

I enjoyed the day. Starting from picking up from the hotel (was very smooth), stopping at a local market, sandboarding, camel riding, Hanna drawings, and the big middle eastern style lunch, it was amazing. Shami was an awesome tour guide. He was welcoming, passionate about taking pictures, and nailed the drive in the desert. What an experience! I made friends during the trip as well as a solo traveller. It was really fun.

Safari trip is a MUST on to do list whilst in Dubai

A wonderful day was had by our family. Moosa was our guide for the day and he was fantastic! He communicated with us before our prompt collection and looked after us all day providing us with iced water throughout the day. The dune safari was exillarating and such fun... Moosa seemed to be enjoying it as much as we did, such a laugh!! The quad bikes were great fun as were the camel rides & sand boarding. The camp experience was wonderful. Great bbq was provided, such a huge selection of tasty food, and the entertainment was enjoyable too! So glad we decided to do this experience as a family. Moosa then took us back to the hotel, coming up against some badly flooded roads but he handed the roads beautifully. An amazing day & in my opinion, very good value for money. Fantastic memories made... THANKS

Excellent times....

Our guide from Ocean Tour Ali is an excellent person. He was with us throughout the entire tour program and did his best to make our day perfect. We thank him very much. Also, the staff at Al Khayma camp were very kind and helpful. I thank them too.

Great experience

Habib our tour guide was great and very friendly. Habib rocked the dune bashing. The camel ride and bbq was great as well.

Better than I expected

There are a lot of service providers and I researched many and Oceanair had good reviews. I was very pleased with their service and especially Tehseen safari guide who took very good care of us. He had very good driving skills in the dunes and told many interesting things about UAE and the surroundings. My favourite thing was sandboarding and we did it as long as we were exhausted, about 10 rides. There are a lot of other people but desert safaris are a big thing here. If you want something more private you have to pay for it but don't go for the cheap providers either if the other way around. You get what you pay for. Camp was nice and food was very good and there was a lot of it. I wish we had more time there to relax.

Desert Safari and BBQ - don’t visit Dubai without doing this excursion!

This was one of the most memorable days of any trip we’ve taken. Our Safari Guide TEHSEEN was better than fantastic, and took us through every amazing activity of the day, giving us tips and telling us about Dubai along the way. I think the desert safari and BBQ are a must-do for anyone visiting the area!! Every part of the experience was 5 stars, and our son (8) said it was the best day of his life :)

Book it - it’s worth it!

What a lovely day! The dune, sand boarding & camel riding was all really good. Quad biking, my kids loved but I’d prefer a trail. The food was also lovely and fresh, the entertainment was nice, the only downside were there was a lot of driving, it’s in 3 different locations and we had to wait long for lunch - we started the tour at 11 and ate at 4pm. Pack a snack and you’ll be fine. Tour guides are caring and do their best and have great photography skills.

Great quality tour for all the family, with quality tour provider

From collection at the hotel to drop off was well organised. We have been on another tour 2 years ago and this tour was a significantly higher quality camp, food was amazing, dune bashing and sandboarding was excellent. Free water and soft drinks provided at every stop.

Great Experience in the Desert

The trip was great and well paced. Jo Jo was a great guide for us and took care from pick up to drop off. The Buffet had 3 cuisines included in the price for everyone and had good options for both Vegetarians as well as non Vegetarians. Dune Bashing is a great experience in the car as well as the ATVs

Amazing Desert Safari Tour

My family enjoyed everything about this trip. The motor bike ride in sand dunes, the desert safari ride including the sand sledding are all amazing and enjoyable. Our tour guide and driver Sajith is also helpful and accommodating. One of the best and memorable tour my family had so far and we will remember this for a very long time!

Awesome - Osama our captain was the best!

Fantastic, amazing experience. Great communication via WhatsApp, our 'captain' Osama was 10 stars worthy of a tour guide rating, he was entertaining, full of excitement and we can tell how much he loves his job. This was a fantastic way to spend a day in Dubai, and I would recommend the OceanAir Travels as a company to do this trek with. I loved the small shared group options, we had a couple from Germany and a mother and daughter from USA sharing the ride with my son and I. Camel rides were cool, the food at the camp was absolutely delicious - just a shame i couldn't eat it all! Osama - you are fantastic, a great representative of the company, and i would 100% do this again!

A great tour

We had the best time from the beginning to the end. Our guide was friendly, helpful and looked after us from pickup to drop off ... we couldn't have asked for more. The quad bikes were fun and the dune bashing enjoyable! We were blown away by the amazing camp and all the activities. The BBQ tea was fantastic and plentiful and we thoroughly we enjoyed the entertainment. We would thoroughly recommend this tour for good value for money and a most enjoyable afternoon/evening.

Amazing experience!

Amazing experience, especially the driving in the dunes. Also, our guide Arafat was exceptional! Very helpful and very friendly and very good photographer 😏. For sure next time we will ask to have him again!

Wonderful experience

This experience is amazing. I want to thanks our guide Waqar that has been so friendy, engaging, amazing and that left us a beautiful memory of the day. He really set an inviting mood that let us enjoy our day. I was travelling with my mum who doesn't speak english and he always made sure I had the time to translate to her and he didn't let her feel left out. He also was very helpful and reachable when I wrote by text prior to the pick up time. And he always make sure everyone went back with amazing photos. In the camp there is a lot of variety in food, which is also super tasty and you won't go back home hungry. Both of the shows (because in Ramadan the female dancer couldn't dance) were amazing and absolutely worth it. The facility is also very clean and every one will treat you with the upmost kindness. I would really encourge you to do this activity, especially with Waqar as your guide.

Good. Worth the money.

Quite a good experience. Thanks to Sharaf. Everything was very good organized. I like to smoke shisha, and the shisha experience was not to my liking. The guy did not know what he was doing. And smoking in the sun is not good, haha. A place with some shade would have been nice. Thanks again.
